Arrrg, whenever I join a website of any caliber I always forget to introduce myself on the newb forum. So hello, to anyone who might be reading this =D I have quickly learned that the fastest way for me to make gold is to obsessively play snake or tetris. But mostly snake. So anyway it appears that I am babbling. Hooray. |

Gaia is insanely crowded… well, at least it's easy to find people with similar interests. Oh god I am such an old fart on gaia >__> I found this site through gaia um, yesterday. And I love tetris and have been addicted to it since I was nine or so but it's so hard to find a decent version of it (damn microsoft not putting tetris on their computers after windows 98), but it just isn't as profitable as snake D': @ Hatake Ayumi Agreed. Why, thank you =D I love how there are no limits (that I know of) on the amount of times you can play games and still get gold for it. It's much fairer to the obsessive game players (like mee) than other websites where you can only play a game so many times a day and get lots of loot for it. The only drawback is you receive much less gold per game. but I think it's a nice balance. Play snake ten times = a little less than 100g And i am ALWAYS playing snake. in another window of course.... I gotta say the method of gold earning on this site sure agrees with me >___O |

I'm not sure It's always rounded up to the nearest hundred unless you get something like 901 then I think you only get 9g and yesterday the most it rounded down was 916 to 9g and if my memory serves me right I've gotten 10g from 912 before, so I think if it does go down slightly if you play a lot in one day but not significantly in my experience. There are no game limits yet. But there are plans for some since because of the free flowing gold inflation has gone a little bit too crazy. And as staff we don't like seeing inflation happen so quickly. because then it is incredibly hard for new users to get older items. ^^;; I think it will be a gold cap on the games. But it hasn't been decided yet how that will be handled or when. so you still have time. |

I should O__O I really hope they don't put limits on the awesome gold earning-ness of the games because it's kind of one of the things that makes this website unique from other similar websites (that I've tried anyway) and it's true that it makes it easier for newbies to earn gold but considering the amount of gold you earn from each game you actually have to earn it. Which is nice because then the more dedicated(or obsessive maybe?) players are rewarded for their persistence. I don't really know anything about the price inflation yet as i have only been here a couple of days but i think it would be a real shame if they did get a cap :[ /Rant over :sweat: edit: Um, just a note; doesn't the maximum amount of gold that can be earned per game keep the inflation down a bit? |
Well, there is a cap-ish. You can't get over 50 gold per game. Does that count?
And the inflation is also due to the fact that there are so few players so that event and contributor items sell for more because they are rarer. I can explain wayy more too. I'm such a nerd. XD |

yeah i guess that counts as a cap but i don't really mind it @[email protected] Snake has a maximum of earning ten gold per play, which I think is a reasonable amount because normally it is a relatively short game. I know tetris has a maximum of earning fifty gold per play. And I am not sure about the other games because I royally suck at them. Nerds rock :B I am a such a sci-fi nerd >__< |

You can earn 50 gold per play. I've managed to get 50 gold from playing tetris in under a minute. So...that compared to posting...really isn't much of a contest. Because mad posting with a friend to keep her as the number one poster on the site I was getting 100 gold every 30 minutes posting every time we were able to post. ^^;; you can see why the inflation has been occurring. That and I don't really see how spending a minute of my life playing tetris and getting 50 gold counts as earning. it's something I would randomly do and wouldn't be opposed to there being a cap. It's not like you would only be allowed 50 gold, it would be something along the lines of 500 I would think. Possibly more.
and since you can play as many times as you want the 50 gold cap doesn't do much of anything. as soon as you get to the points necessary for the 50 gold you stop the game and start over. :P |

Me thinks it would be a good idea that after you earn a certain amount of gold from a game it tells you to wait half an hour or longer before you can start earning gold from it again. Meh, that's just me though. I really hate having to wait a day before playing a game actually counts for anything :illgetu: Edit: Interesting, my avatar just turned into a man for a few seconds xD |
haha I do like snake but why when loosing we must hear Homer cry D'oh. Iconic as that quote is my music is loud usually and it give me a hear attack. Mute button somehow doesn't work for me. That me being whinny lol anyways I love playing chopper challenge and asteriods since I super dooper good at making gold on them.
