You answer a help wanted ad. A very rich, yet mysterious stranger is paying you a large sum of money to house sit while he is away on vacation. He gives you free reign of the house, under the one condition that you are never to go up into the attic. It's a palatial home, and you're intrigued by how the upper class lives. You agree to his condition. The first day is uneventful. But on the night of the second, you hear faint noises coming from the upper floors. You investigate, but can't seem to pinpoint it. On the third night you again hear the sound, louder this time, and are pretty sure it's coming from the attic. Unnerved, you try to ignore it. But on the fourth night, you can no longer brush it aside. The noise is louder, and you are now certain that it seems to be a human voice. By the fifth night, you're on edge. But you have to know what's going on. You sneak up to the attic door and listen and wait. ... For a long while all is quiet... and then you hear it. A soft voice from behind door saying... "Let me out." Do you open the door or leave it closed? |
