This is several things, actually.
First, I think of John Hancock, because when I was first learning to sign for things as a young adult a lot of the older menfolk would tell me to give them my "Johhny Hancock". John Hancock - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia He's remembered for signing his name very largely and "flamboyantly".
I also thing of signign my own art or of how artists usually have a "signature" thing they do with their art.
For the sake of this post though, knowing that I thought of all those other things first, I am actually choosing to give us the word calligraphy to move forward.
Calligraphy.
