I've made a Savory Serving! IMG: What is it? Chicken Planetary Platter Notes: BBQ chicken, herb potatoes make up the stars and the salad makes the moon, plated on a dark-blue night sky dish. A fun stylish twist to an old favorite.
I've made a Delectable Drink! IMG: What is it? Star-crisp Smoothie Notes: A cup of frozen strawberries blended with a bit of apple, orange juice 1/2 cup of yogurt. Playfully garnished with an apple sliced to revel it's inner star. I also stuck a glow stick into the apple slice to make it look like a shooting. OH and can't forget a crazy straw. The cup I used unfortunately didn't photograph well, the base lights up making the drink look other worldly... dry ice would have also been fun in this.
I've made something that's Out of This World! IMG: What is it? Home-style Noodle Bowl I know the Aliens will love this, because: When your far from home nothing tastes better than a warm dish of noodles or soup. Also when someone takes care in preparing extra touches to your food it feels like home. I would also tell them about earth peoples custom to make a wish on a shooting star.
The noodle portion was spicy shrimp with some blue food coloring. I added some chunks of potato and green onion to it. Also the potatoes were cooked separately with turmeric, black pepper and cyan. Turmeric turns things yellow naturally which is something I would want after all the blue food coloring, so I think they would appreciate it too.

What is it? The Alf Style Alien Feast! I know the Aliens will love this, because: A certain alien I know has a penchant for kitty cats, and he makes it well known. So, Mocha, being a very thoughtful cat, offered himself up. Hopefully our visitors will not be tempted to nibble. Probably after Mocha purrs and cuddles his way to their hearts, all will be well. If not....RUN KITTY!

Do the plates/dishes whatever count towards the entry too?
I'm not weighing that too heavily, but it might make the difference between two entries that are otherwise equal. There may be honorable mentions for things like presentation if we get enough entries, too.

I added a thin layer of blueberry sauce to the top and cut out a moon and star shape from another dish of soley panna cotta. Added little edible stars to the moon, and edible gold dust to the star.
I've made a Sweet Treat! IMG:CleekWith name What is it? Chocolate Torte with Shortbread crust, Mascarpone cheese, and Raspberry sauce Notes:Recipe for torte filling
Used a mixture of heavy cream and double cream (since the double cream was $7 for a small jar, whaaat).
Used premade shortbread crust and cut shapes out of the crust. Then cut shapes out of the torte and set them atop the shaped crusts. Mixed some of the raspberry sauce with the mascarpone, set it in the ramekin and added a puddle of raspberry sauce to that, then topped with a fresh raspberry. Drizzled it all with moar raspberry sauce. XD
Oh, also used water instead of the alcohol.

I'm still pondering on what I could do for drinks.
I have a few ideas for 2 of them. The savory serving is simply going to be what I make for supper tonight. I figured, two birds with one stone. ;D
And I look forward to the sweets... going to the store tonight. -rubs hands together-
And the drinks.. I have no idea on as of yet. But will be trying to think of something while at the store.
Well, I can't decide on the sweets just yet. I have two ideas.. too different kind of "cake" foods. Which one?? Oooh.. there is the one I am craving.. and the other one I love...plus which would look better with a nice twist for the purposes of the contest. xD

I am conflicted though! I bought the ingredients for sugar cookies, pumpkin pie, and cheese cake and I can only enter two...
Which two? I want to do the sugar cookies because they will be star shaped with special designs I have in mind.. but between the pie and cake, I don't know.. I have something special in mind for both of those as well..
