So, tell me how long it took you to get clothes and what that first piece/pieces of clothing was! You don't have to if you don't want to, I just thought it'd be fun to tell everyone how quick it took you :P

I really do not remember and it will not be fair for me since straight after I joined, I was given a donation as my friend was the one who had invited me here :) So I started buying stuff right off the beginning but I would say that after the hiatus I took, it probably took me a longer time to earn myself my first real hard earned item because I was terrible at the games. Probably took me more than a day because I was aiming for CIs at that time instead of just commons ^^''

I'm not sure, I think I got my first item (pants) within an hour or so after joining. After I joined I read the threads about how to earn gold, so after making an introduction thread I went and played games, then surfed the shops and found the pair of pants I wanted, played some more games until I had enough, and bought it...

I mentioned in another thread that it took me a couple of days to make enough gold for Ghost Kitties. Then I gave up on Mene for three months. When I came back it was already the latter part of the Phoenix Jubilee and I spent a few days gathering orchids like crazy to use in the event shop. I do mean like crazy cause I had enough to make an outfit and also snag myself a pair of Begonia Faerie Wings.

I think they were orchids. ... >_>

I didn't take me too long only coz at the time I was able to get MIs and sell them for gold. Tho it does seem like I have to get some crazy amount of gold for the new things on here >.> why does Menewsha have to have so many kick ass things!?

Not long at all... I joined October 11th and sort of puttered around for a day or two. And then there was a problem with the site because the new game that had been introduced was being hacked, so the game was shut down and the Exchange was shut down and people could claim 2,500 gold as compensation/leveling the playing field. I heard that there would be half-priced commons in the Special Event store during the Halloween event, so other than buying one top, I stayed in my undies until the event started and spent all my gold plus all the gold I had earned during the event. ;)

I havnt even got my first item yet LOL!

Wow, it must've felt a bit wierd being naked for 3 months xD

A while, I don't actually have many shop items, mainly event items, because it's ridiculously slow getting gold on here.

I haven't bought any clothes yet. ^^

I'm planning to stay naked until I reach around 1k. (:

Yeap, some people usually just stay naked not because they have to but they want to. I know some members with a tonne of gold and just wait for the right time to spend it all ^^'' Its a pretty smart idea to wait till you reach a certain amount of gold because then you would be able to afford some really nice items and get your avatar dressed in a complete set :)

I think it took me... ten minutes at the max? xD I joined about two days after the very first Menewsha event, so I was able to get a couple of the event items right after I joined. ^^ As for my first piece of clothing that I bought myself... I have no clue. ^^; You think it's hard earning gold now, boy, you should have seen it back in the beginning. I think there were two games, one of which was Cards, and I can't remember the other one... And, there as almost no forum activity. >.<;

It took me a while. Right after I joined, I kind of went on hiatus, forgot about it. I came back around the Celes Paradi event last year and get an outfit during the event. Other than that, the first item I bought was probably the panda pajama top or black leg warmers.

For the most part everything I buy is from an event, half price. It take me weeks to earn gold as I am by nature a lurker.

I would recomend waiting for an event to shop, if you don't like what is being offered then, you still have the money saved for the store.

There is an event ever other month is seems, so it won't take too long before you are fully dressed.

I'm a nudist on Menewsha. Things are simpler that way. I also love to rock the dark skin + white hair combo.

I joined during the Valentines Day event last year (actually on Valentines Day!) so I managed to get a dress and pair of shoes from the event store before the end of the event, thanks to a friend who gave me the extra gold I needed. I decided to buy a dress because I thought it would be cheaper than buying a top and something to wear on the bottom.

I was scared of the Chance game and someone told me you had to spend a lot of gold on Fishing before you started making a profit. >.<

Edit: The dress was the White Chocolate Dress and the shoes were the Bitter Hag Flats.

Hmm. I joined a few days before Valentines day this year, so my first outfit was what I got out of the event store.
