I want to thank everyone so very much for participating in my
"Pimp" My Sleigh contest during the Festival of Winter Nights! I was overwhelmed by the entries. There were so many of them! And creative as well! It was a bit difficult to choose amongst them, but I did my best!

The Paper Crane entered five separate excellent entries - but I decided to award her in the Traditional Sleigh category for both how traditional she made her entries look, but also how creatively she interpreted 'traditional' in her second entry for the same category.
Nivvy - First Prize Winner

Another very traditional looking sleigh! And with lots of bells and trimming - and passengers! I was happy to see the sleigh drawn by reindeer in the traditional way. *smiles*
HamatoKomeko - Second Prize Winner

Whereas the_paper_crane and Nivvy's entries were guided by reindeer - in this entry, the sleigh
is the reindeer! While not purely traditional in design, it's very creative and traditional in
theme. Depicting it in-flight was an especially nice touch.
Agent HEY-LEE - Third Prize Winner

You really couldn't get much more traditional than this entry! Though there are modern touches to it, the overall effect is very traditional and appealing. *smiles*

A Sleigh for Nalin Winners
Chikuma - Grand Prize Winner

I chose this one as my Grand Prize Winner for this category because of how the sleigh looks as if it's made of sunlight - almost as if the sleigh itself could act as a miniature sun to feed the gardens. *smiles* The cheerful garden background was also extremely nice and helped edge it up my personal ranking.
az_stars - First Prize Winner

While a bit frosty looking for my personal tastes *shivers* - the garland decorations and wood-carvings certainly kept me in mind, which I appreciated a great deal!
Wendy Darling - Second Prize Winner

I liked this one in particular for how much it stood out from the others in its dark, rich colors. The flower garland hanging from the side of the sleigh was a wonderfully creative touch. *smiles*
Fauxreal - Third Prize Winner

I really loved how this entry thought of how I might use a sleigh in my work. And the flowers in the back compartment are lovely. *smiles*

Roachi took the challenge and brought the fantastic to life in her own home. *smiles* She sacrificed what looks like a great deal of time and several cleverly-used materials to create this fantastic sleigh and I just had to award it the Grand Prize.
Kai La Morte - First Prize Winner
http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...mpmysleigh.png
Oh my - what a spooky entry for the holiday season! But time and thought were certainly put into it, and it's certainly very fantastic! I chose this one for first place for this reason. *smiles*
Fading Existence - Second Prize Winner
http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/m...impsleigh2.png
I found it a bit amusing and odd that there were two dark entries for this category - but I couldn't choose between them, so I chose both. I like how this one also has something to pull it!
shadowfoot - Third Prize Winner

I know it's a bit of an odd choice for me - but I couldn't help but admire the result. I liked the propulsion method chosen for the sleigh. *smiles*
Everyone who participated by sending in an entry was given an Eggplant Hibiscus Bloom (save for two people, who already had one, so I sent them a Tapi Hibiscus Bloom instead) to say 'thank you' for spending the time to send in an entry. *smiles* I appreciated and enjoyed every entry and the Eggplant Hibiscus seems to thrive in cooler weather and had put out an unexpected number of blooms this week. *smiles*
Thank you so much, everyone! I hope you had as much fun as I did!
