I'm Kultura, and I run the Newbie Closet Charity. Last year we had a Circus event during the summer and it was amazzzzing!>>see here<< And it seems that I'm not the only one interested in doing it all again this year!

Help Wanted!

Because I know I'll make a complete shambles if I attempt this myself! :lol: So far, this really isn't all that urgent, except for the advertising.

We need :

• Banners for advertising... Links to this thread, banners stating the dates, etc.
• A banner for the front page

  The dimensions are 280x160 and must have no typos and be appropriate for all ages. You will want your event dates on the banners.

• A writer for an announcement on the front page.

I'll add more as I think of it. ;D

What's been done so far! I'll keep this up to date as best I can.

17th April - Event Planning started!
28th April - After discussion and voting, a new theme has been decided! The Feast of Fools!

Advertise!

Hopefully I'll get better banners... But for now, advertise the hell outta the event! But keep it legal - No spam or anything. Put a banner in your sig, and talk about it in the threads but keep to Menewsha's rules.

I would love to volunteer to be an artist! :D I'm willing to do banners with and/or without avatar art. I've got samples if you need them (of banner art as well as regular art).

Also, as far as sticky threads go for the event: a writing contest, an art contest and an avatar contest are must-haves. 8DD Also, things like your fortune-telling booth last year would be neat-o. :3

I mentioned some time again about perhaps hosting a Mad Gab thread. :)

No doubt! I love user events - granted my only experience with them would be the Gaian Renaissance Fair.
Hopefully even more interest will be drummed up this coming week. :3

Not sure of how Gaia user run events go xD Never used the site much.

I'm guessing it will gain more interest, last year's event was a blast and I had a blog post in my signature to try guage interest, and a lot of people did reply! I'm just hoping now that my Bug's Life banner is seen xD

When I first saw that banner, I just thought it linked to the blag, but I checked it anyways. xP

Gaia user events were mostly flops unless you spent a month before hand advertising for it... and even then it was pretty hard to make anything impressive. I like how Menewsha gives you a forum area all of your own for events, it's -very- handy! : P

Is there anything I can work on now for your event, though? x3

I'm so glad to see that the event is living on. I'd like to help out somehow, but you guys probably don't want me to after I was forced into going AWOL last year.
