Pretty much. They just log the keys you press and in what order you press them. Even constantly screwing up and retyping your password won't mess with the logger itself, but it may confuse the person on the other end, so they don't understand exactly what they're getting.

Yeah, kind of like your password being 1234, and you type it as 2143, and the guy on the other side would get it wrong.

Wonder: Lately in the podcast, they've been playing a game called Google or Gavin. They get the start of a question and Get Gavin to make up the rest of the question, then they get google to autocomplete it. Then the other members of the podcast have to figure out who said it. Google or Gavin.

So which game we should play ? :D

They would still get the log of what was typed, but the log would include all of the mistakes. make enough of them and it's going to confuse whoever is on the other end.

Hence why you need to scramble it up; like if your password is 123 and you want to enter it as 231, you type 23 first, then go back to the front before keying in 1. That way the keylogger would get '231' instead of the actual 123 that is your password.
