So me an my husband our getting a pair of sugar gliders. There will be one male and female, and they won't be related so we can breed them.

We want to name them something fun but not over used and cliche. We like Final fantasy and I love Kingdom hearts. We're also all around gamers and geeks I guess. (he fixes computers and build them, I do 3D artwork and visual effects like lazers n stuff) We like anime and my husband is a huge Mega Man X fan....

We would like names the correlate somehow.

so give us your best suggestions! There will be a prize for the best combo, or if perhaps you tickle my funny bone or come up with something i say... OOOoooo about.

So more than one prize up for grabs. could be an item, could be some artwork. Feel free to post more than one, just try not to repeat.

I've given it a few moments of thought, and I've come up with. . .
For the male:
TommyToes - MY nickname, given to me by a very close friend (Just kidding about this one).
Gleitboot (Glight-boot)- Meaning Hydroplane or Glider in Deutsch. :3
For the Female:
Schönheit (Sha-own-height)- Meaning Beauty in Deutsch.
I'm not very good at coming up with names, but HEY! I tried. :]

What about "Start" and "Select"? :lol:

If you're going to try for a Deathnote name then I would definitely go for Lawliet ( always thought that was the better name. xD)
Otherwise, the things are just so dang cute that I would name them the cutest name I can think of for a small fuzzy whoozimiwazzit: Smudge. >3< It even has a little dark smudge on its forehead!
When it comes to couple names though... I'm going to have to agree with Hamlet. XD I think Start and Select would be cute, particularly since you're a gaming couple ^^
You could also try any of the millions of anime/game couple names.
Cloud would be cute, especially since they're gliders, and Tifa is an adorable name for a tiny girl (in my opinion). ^^

Aren't they adorable? there's a breeder a few hours west of us. they are becoming a popular pet apparently.

How about "Thing one" and "Thing two"...It makes me laugh anyway...There's so cute though! Are they pricey?

Depends on who you buy from. The ones we are buying are 175$ for the normal gray's and since we are buying two the second one is 150$. We decided to go for the quality and licensed source than the average joe breeders who offered ones at 75 and 35 (the 35 is way low in price...kinda fishie if you ask me.) I saw one for 200 at a normal pet store.

they are a bit more work and care than a normal pet and still considered a wild animal and not domestic. so if considering buying them do lots of research first. They are nocturnal as well.

They sound like a lot of fun, and I think my cat would eat them for lunch...SOooo, probably NOT the pet for me;)

yeah they recommend not with other pets cause they gliders might go after them as well.... some people do it cause the other pets cats etc grow up together are just used to lots of other rodents etc.
