I am sort of surprised to not see a thread about this subject. What are your thoughts of a fun date? It can be something creative, romantic, mysterious, thrilling, thought-provoking...the list goes on. Share your funny stories and strange encounters (only if you want to of course!).

Let the posting begin~

Sitting with my girlfriend playing an xbox game :P I'm not a 'dinner and a movie' type of girl. I'd much rather sit somewhere that we're totally alone, doing something we both like to do. No distractions, no one to bother us. I don't get to see her much, so that's why.

I like hanging out indoors too. There are so many distractions when you're both outside and not much privacy when hanging out in a public place. It would be nice to mix it up with doing stuff outdoors and chilling together at home.

Yeah, me too. Plus, it's expensive to go out lately! We could get some Chinese take-out and sit at home with a movie instead.

i love Chinese take-out. if i really wanted to go somewhere for a lunch date, i would choose a local cafe or bistro. i like having it casual whether it is after work or on the weekend. i am not the type to impress someone with fancy and bourgie things.

... Visit book shop or art shop to feed my addiction to stationeries... and books...

Other than that, it is always home for me.
I find more comfort at home.

... But if it is a date... romance date, then have to go out. x.x

maybe that could be a possible date idea if the person you are seeing is also interested in those kind of things. ^^ i know that most of my artistic friends do that on a weekly basis.

What me and my boyfriend do is spend the evening alone together.
Sometimes we'll cuddle,
But most times we just chill and play video games together.

We do have the ocasional 'movie and a dinner' thing.
But not to often.

That is so romantic, Kenome. I don't have a boyfriend at the moment but I would imagine myself doing the same thing if I did. I think watching a movie together at home would be relaxing too.

I've TECHNICALLY had the same boyfriend since I was 16.

We broke up one summer but got back together.
And durring that time we were broke up I dated two other people.

And those dates were boring with them.
Except for one.
He made me fajitas.
<33

I love food.

Oh wow you are so lucky. I only know one person who is still together with her high school sweetheart. I ask her when the wedding is going to be since it is obvious that they love each other. They are both 23 now.

Fajitas sound so good right now! It's getting close to lunchtime.

It is pretty rare.
And I love that I'm in that catagory.

And if it was up to me I would of been married right out of high school.
Cuz I'm old fashioned like that.

THEY DO.

To bad I have a class that starts in 20 minutes and lasts 2 hours.

I dun want to wait.

I wonder if the dates change somehow throughout a relationship. Do they become more easygoing or mundane (if they are repetitive) or creative?

Hope you have a nice time at class, Kenome-Chan.

Ours have changed only because we use our hard earned money to go.
We do tend to go to the same places to eat..
But I'm okay with that.

Now I feel like going out on a date!

Ah,
Thanks.
I sure will.

I'm an easy guy to please. Fancy dinners aren't my thing at all. Usually my partner and I go out for coffee, or we just stay in, fix dinner together, and then cuddle watch a movie or something.

Haha it seems that way, doesn't it. xD

I think the best date I went on was the one where my partner and I drove through rural Upper Michigan in the peak of fall, bought jam from some local monks, and had a picnic on Lake Superior. Oh and there was the time we rode our bikes to the end of a twenty-mile trail, stopped for cheap Chinese food, and then rode back. I guess I just like being outside. :P

I don't really know. I don't have a s/o at the moment, but if I did I'd probably want to do something that catered to their personality rather than a generic dinner date. For me I'd love to go to a concert or a comedy show and then out for a few drinks :')

wow! that sounds like such an amazing date. i am visiting southern Oregon this summer to visit a national park. it would be ideal if i was going with a lover but i'm going with the family. rofl. i bet the lake looked gorgeous during the fall season.

Oh this is an easy one. Video games. Lots of video games... all night long.
(Basically my ideal date is ordering takeout and having a LAN party)
