So last night, while trying to fall asleep, I was thinking to myself how many Youtube channels I have unsubscribed/subscribed to and I was wondering... Have you ever unsubscribed to a Youtube channel and why? What makes you want to keep watching videos from that person/makes you want to subscribe?

Most the channels I unsub'ed to was solely because no content vs too much content. I unsub'ed to GameGrumps and Machinima because they put out like 20 videos a day, though I still occasionally go to their channels. I know I have unsub'ed to a couple of Youtube channels I no longer cared about or had any interest in, solely PewdiePie and AVGN.

So, what makes you want to sub to a channel or unsub and what are your favourite channels? This is a discussion of Youtube!

I to be honest, I only subscribe to one YouTube channel. I do so because the YouTuber is a let's-player and he's funny all-around, never plays up reactions too much or gets out of hand. It's actually the only reason I even made a YouTube account, in fact.

But I can tell you what: What makes a channel varies widely in the eyes of anyone you may talk to about it. It could be how informative the person is. It could be the quality of their work. It could be how uncensored they are or how much they don't care about what others think---and that's refreshing to many. Others enjoy watching people get scared out of their minds in horror video games or listening to funny commentary on other games that may or may not be horrible.

To me, what makes a channel is their quality. How they are as a human. How they connect to their viewers. I watch certain videos because it's informative, or it's interesting. But what can break it is lack of update. Lack of intelligence. How the person might... dumb down a lot of things as if they're superior, or just go flying off the handle at the slightest provocations, and never let something go.

So that's my thought on the matter!

Good marketing for exposure and good content to keep people coming back.
It's really a business in my eyes where you have to figure out your target market and so on.

Yes, it is really. Can't take your "customers" for granted.
