@Lavinia -- I nearly always have more than one book going at a time. I like to read along depending on the kind of mood I'm in. =D

I finished The Great Perhaps, it was so unbelievably brilliant. If only all books could be that way ... I wouldn't mind seeing this one turned into an independent film.

I am going to update my list, dangit! Sometime in the next few days. :gonk: Except I hardly remember any of my finish dates, but that's alright.
Anyway, I'm in the middle of The Hobbit (for about the four hundreth time) and The Great Gatsby right now. I'm reading bits of The Complete Worst Case Scenario Survival Guide as the mood strikes me (which is often), and I'm in the middle of Maurice and The Bear Went Over the Mountain, though I've not picked up either in a while. I'm thinking I'll finally read Lord of the Rings once those are all out of the way.

What's everyone else reading?

I'm reading my Biology text book. Fun times.

I did like Maurice though. Must check out the film some time.

I read all the time, so the 50 book challenge would be pointless for me, no offense.

My mom says I read too much, and I agree. Did I mention I have a book open right now, and I keep sneaking a peek at it? Lol : )

Then make it more then 50? Make it a challenge. xD
Aim for 150 or 200 then. ^_^

@LaVida: I think because he's still with her a bit in the first book? I bought those three and I was wondering that. There's a blond girl on the other two (I think that's the princess). Besides those books look better with a pretty girl on the front. Art wouldn't be able to do Imriel justice. Since he's supposed to be like uber gorgeous like his mom.

I'll definitely do so. I'm only two chapters in and already my mind is blown. Its an intense book so far.
(I particularly wanted to read it because I've lead a very white-bread life, and I figured it was time to get some rye-bread mixed in. Well, boy howdy am I ever getting some rye-bread!)

@Bethany -- agree with what others have said, adding that I've got a 50/50 fiction/non-fiction book challenge going for myself since I never read fiction, I hate it really.

Right now I'm in the middle of Richard Dawkins' latest book, The Greatest Show on Earth, and another non-fiction book of essays. Dawkins' book is good of course, kind of meant for a more casual audience than usual, I think, and his language has been altered accordingly. He uses a lot of his usual examples from other books, but it's good in the way that he is line for line debating arguments that creationism uses, not just using good arguments for evolution itself. I'm about one third of the way through of each.

Dream>> lol, yea, pretty girls always gets the cover XD BUT I wonder who's the shadow behind Phedre.....if you refer to the cover of Kushiel's Scion, you'd notice that there's this shadow with this awesome-looking jacket (it has to be a guy, I mean, the shadow looks totally guy-like).....I wonder if it's Joscelin or Imriel...hmmm..... :S I'm betting on Joscelin ;d

@LaVida: I think it's Joscelin too. Just the stance makes me think of a tightwad. XD I love him so but he needs to relax a bit.

@Iltu: Just finished Harpy Thyme and Geis of the Gargoyle by Piers Anthony, it's book 18 in the Xanth series (Still working on it!). So a lot of what I've read recently is good. xD

Wah!!! I need to bring my headphones with me to work so I can read my book. I keep getting interrupted by listening to people talking. I'm kinda easily distracted sometimes

KaoKitty>> ehhhhh?? bring your book to work? aren't you not supposed to read during work? o.o

Guivre>> lol, yea, the first book's Kushiel's Dart :)

Dream>> and the jacket is way too cool for a bratty kid like Imriel (yes, I am still on the part where he's a teen)

@LaVida -- I looked for Kushiel's Dart, but it was checked out. I seem to remember this happening before, which would explain why I haven't read it yet. I guess I'll have to put it on hold. D=

I finished a small book on creativity by Summer Pierre, The Artist in the Office. It was much better than books that try to get you to shake up how you look at your work/projects, etc. usually are, but I think most of the book didn't really apply to me. However, it was short, so I didn't feel cheated reading it or anything.

Geis of the Gargoyle was speaking to me at the used book store yesterday, so I picked it up. I'm not going to read it yet, I should probably read something earlier from the Xanth series first, since I haven't read anything from it in oh, the 18-20 years. D=

Oh yeah, I also picked up a steampunk novel at the library to read in place of Kushiel's Dart, but I can't remember the title yet. Ah well. I'm sure I'll have more things to say about it later.
