I started a new book today: "The Girl Who Leapt Through time".

Oh? Is it good?

It's the book that the anime movie with the same title was based off of. So far it's okay, very short though.

Hm...I've never heard of that one, I'll have to look it up!

It's pretty hard to find from what I've seen. I was super happy when I realized that the library had it.

Mine has a fairly good sci-fi/fantasy section, and what I can't find I loan in.

Libraries are amazing...if they don't have a piss-poor book selection.

That is very true. I didn't think they had many books when I first went but it was because I couldn't figure out how their stuff is organized.

It can take a while DX.
The library in my old town stank though. I asked what they had for science fiction and fantasy and they looked at me like I'd grown two extra heads.

Aw, the library in my home town didn't have a lot but the librarian was pretty nice.

The librarians were nice, but apparently in that little town if you're a woman and you read something other than sappy-crap romance you're an alien.

Ah yeah, no the librarian who helped me totally got it. She would always show me the new fantasy books.

I just picked up a new book that was recommended by a friend: When Nietzsche Wept, by Irvin D. Yalom.
It's a novel about Neitzsche getting psychoanalysis back in the first days of psychoanalysis. I think young Sigmund Freud is in it.
My friend said it had a big impact on her, so I'm pretty excited to start reading it.

Yeah, it does sound like it could get dense. So far it's been good though, just normal literary fiction. I'm only a couple chapters in though, so we'll see how deep down the philosophy and psychology rabbit holes it'll go.

You'll have to tell me how it is.

I'm buying two newer books from Sherrilyn Kenyon this week, that I'm super excited about! I hope they're good, and I won't be able to put them down. I need a book like that, it's been a while.
