I ended up just starting The Turn of the Screw. We had it. and I thought I'd like to get it done now, rather than worry about it over spring break! It's difficult, but I do like it so far.
Cora- Rock on, great job! :D
Taiyo- Oh, great books! I adore Garth Nix. ^^ Have you read his other stuff? Sabriel is one of my favorite books of all time. The rest of that series is good too.

Cora- Sometimes life just gets in the way like that, huh? But Hopefully you'll have some time for reading soon!
Taiyo- Well if you are ever in want of a good read, you should definitely pick up Sabriel!
Also, haha, I just realized I have not read Keys to the Kingdom. >< I was thinking of The Seventh Tower series by the same author. My bad!

I've heard that The Seventh Tower is a good series.
*sigh* Too bad I had to leave a lot of my books home with mom until the end of the semester.

That is really sad. I didn't really know her as an author, but I know Miyazaki's work and that was a very good story.

So I can't find my old booklist... i'm gonna write another one until I can find it.

I just heard the sad news about Diana Wynne Jones from Neil Gaiman's journal.
Hoping to get a lot of reading done while I'm at home. Hopefully I'll be feeling better rested by next week.

Cora is torn.....she really wants to read manga.....but because she is such an avid reader she finds reading manga for her booklist to be cheating......She's considering making it like 10 manga = 1 book......just so she doesn't fall behind in her reading schedule...o.0

You could always raise your target to compensate for reading manga?

Wow, I was just thinking of the book Dogsbody yesterday, and how I really should have finished it. I hate when authors pass away.
I literally have 10 books on my table next to me that I should be reading. All non-fiction though. Probably should change that ...

KITA finished The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress (finally) and cried at the end because what I thought would happen did happen, just not like I thought it would happen, but the fact that it happened was depressing.
Kita would have finished it sooner, but my grandpa was told he has cancer, and my dad almost died again, and I was all kinds of depressed, and couldn't read, or eat, or all that good stuff.
But yeah...I finished it; I will owe fines of unknown amounts to the library, but I have this awesome plan to pay them with canned food donations. :ninja:
Anyway, now I'm reading The Return of the King because for some reason, I never finished it. O_o;
I got really pissed at my brother last night and accidentally ripped the cover off. Its a very old and tattered copy, but that really made me upset. :gonk:

I also plan to read Grapes of Wrath, Day of the Locust, The Portrait of a Lady, The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet, Mrs Dalloway, Brideshead Revisited, The Remains of the Day, Atonement, Catch-22, White Noise (DeLillo), I Married a Communist (Philip Roth), and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.
Were I to read all those, my total would be 33.
If I kept up the same rate of reading, I'd read 72 books this year.
