Yeah. I see a lot of RPs nowadays that take themselves TOO seriously. This is done to lighten up the mood, and maybe remind us that roleplaying isn't about who the best writer is, but rather, about having fun.

But first, let's lay down some ground rules.

1) You can't choose more than one class
2) Certain classes have additional rules
3) You _DON'T_ have make a character sheet, but I might make it a separate thread for those that really want to.
4) Have fun and put OOC in brackets.
5) Oh wait. You know the usual, right? No Godmoding, etc.
6) We want wacky, strange characters.
7) If you want to join, please post an OOC saying you want to, and wait for me (Or someone else that I may or may not appoint) to get back to you. Or... PM me. YES. PM me.
8) I am an idiot for only realizing this now, but one way or another, please mention your character(s)' full names.
9) While I thought this was common sense, once you post an OOC or PM me asking to join, please PLEASE wait for me toa ccept or reject you before actually... RPing.

Classes list

Oriental Spy
Oriental Spies use Techniques to get their job done. They are typically regular humans with a high soul noise. They use the soul noise to execute their techniques. Their weapons are usually projectiles or their own fists.

Techniques are divided into Body type, Illusion type and Miscellaneous type. Body types infuse soul noise with martial arts, while Illusion types inject one's soul noise into other targets making the target experience illusions. Depending on the strength of the technique, illusion type techniques may cause physical harm on the target on top of the usual psychological harm. Miscellaneous types are those that fit into neither category and are usually interpreted as magic by the unlearned.

Psychopomp
Psychopomps aren't human. They're actually spirits that have high soul noise levels. They guide spirits to their respective resting places and prevent malevolent ones from causing harm. They use soul noise in one of three Roads. Psychopomps can only master one or two Roads, due to the strain it causes on their soul. Their weapons are usually swords or notebooks.

Road of Destruction is, as its name implies, an offensive Road. These attacks typically involve using soul noise as weapons to harm the target. Road of Protection is a Road that focuses on defending one's self and others. Abilities from this Road usually encase the targets in hardened soul noise or use soul noise to divert attacks. Road of Life depends on the ability of the Psychopomp's soul noise to reject destiny. Very few psychopomps practice this way because this way rapidly drains soul noise. Road of Life abilities typically reverse time in a small, localized area.

Weapon Masters
Weapon Masters are humans (Or some other species) who can lower their Soul Noise to near fatal levels and partner with other humans whoc an turn into weapons. Weapon Masters are said to be lead by a mysterious and very strong Psychopomp, who himself is a Weapon Master of Scythe. Weapon Masters have very few techniques that utilize soul noise. They use Weapons; humans with the ability to turn into weapons. Weapon Masters are called Weapon Masters of (Whatever weapon they utilize). Weapons are not always the typical weapon that the other classes use, such as kettles, watering cans, lanterns, etc.

They lower their soul noise to near-fatal levels to achieve a state called Soul Vibration with their Weapon. When both the Weapon and the Weapon Master lower their soul noise to the same frequency, it is called Soul Symphony. On the other hand, Soul Masters can also increase their soul noise to near fatal levels and use the soul noise itself as a weapon by attacking an enemy's internal organs with their soul noise, similar to the Body Techniques of the Oriental Spies.

(Due to the nature of this class, Weapon Master players are required to play both their weapons and the Masters. There are cases when a Master has two weapons that count as a set, like boxing gloves or a pair of guns. The most number of weapons that a WM can use is 2. There are also some weapons, again, pairs of guns or pairs of swords, etc., who can wield each other in turn.)

Mask Users
Mask users are people whose soul noise have developed sentience. They wear Masks, accessories that prevent their Soul Noise from being completely sentient and leaving them (killing them). Despite this, there are still mask users who are slowly dying because their Soul Noise is out of control. Masks usually come in the form of glasses, headbands, or circlets. More rarely, they can be found in the form of earrings or bracelets.

Mask Users, due to the sentience of their Soul Noise, have Elemental Soul Noise that are strong and weak to other specific elements (Unlike the other classes, whose soul noise is neutral and can use any element). When using their soul noise, it appears as a vaguely humanoid (Or, in the case of animal mask users, whatever animal they are) creatures, usually resembling robotic creatures. The physical appearance of these creatures usually stay constant as they represent the Mask User's personality. They only change shape when the Mask User comes to a life-changing resolution that changes their personality (Like, say, a parent dying). Mask Users who have personality problems (Like autism, schizophrenia and other mental disabilities) tend to have Soul Noise that have turbulent forms (Appearing as a fog, smoke, slime or otherwise unable to keep its shape.)

Alex ran through the halls of 'The Academy', trying to figure out which way the Weapon Master wing is. Earlier, he wound up in the Oriental Spy wing. His blonde hair bobbed behind him as he hurried, almost leaving his weapon, Lorelei far behind.

Alex was wearing a dark blue coat, with fur trim at the cuffs, collar and at the bottom. Alana was wearing the same, only dark red. Also, he was wearing black leather pants and a black, ribbed, zip-up shirt underneath it. Lorelei was wearing white versions of the same, changing the pants into a ling, flowing white leather skirt.

Alex was a Weapon Master of Scarf, and Lorelei could turn into a red scarf covered in eye-like patterns.

You could mistake the two for twins, both having the same shade of purple eyes and the same hair color and equally light complexions. Though, they just came from the same village.

Lorelei ran as well, trying to make sure that her skirt didn't fly too high. Her body dissolved and reappeared as a scarf on Alex's neck. "Oh right, why didn't I think of that..." The two free ends of the scarf formed themselves into hands and signed something along the lines of 'because you are an idiot'.

Tayla walked through the halls of the immense structure. She had only just arrived here and she wasn't even sure why or how she had come to be in the place.

"Because fate deemed you to come here." Answered Tamar from beside her. Tamar was almost elf life in appearance, with long billowing silver hair the same color his blade would be when he was an axe, and dress in all black, save for a red sash he wore around his waist.

"Shut up..." Tayla said and began to walk faster, Tamar kept up with little effort, he was naturally athletic.... And gorgeous. She almost hated him for that. But their relationship was too close for that. She was alright looking, tall, with pleasant curves. A full mouth and almond shaped eyes, that shifted color constantly, all framed with hair so dark it was almost black. "Where are all the people?" she asked.

"Probably avoiding the storm cloud." He retorted.

"I'm hungry, thats all... once I get some food, I'll be better." she explained without need. "Hello?" she called out into the void of emptry space of the seemingly endless maze of halls.

"Polo," Alex replied sarcastically, though it would have done more effect if Tayla had said Marco.

The outfit he was wearing probably looked uncomfortably warm. Lorelei, in scarf form, billowed as if there was wind even if there was none. It was a telltale sign of being a weapon.

Alex himself was lost. He had a really bad sense of direction, causing him to never be on time for his classes.

"Damn. I lost, again. Am I even in the Weapon Master wing?"

Tayla noticed the man. She smiled. "I wouldn't know, I'm not even sure what this place is... I have a tendincy to show up in places I don't know." She sighed and brushed back her shoulder length hair, tying it in a ponytail.

"I'm Tayla, and this is Tamar." she said introducing herself and her weapon. Tamar bowed slightly, but never took his eyes off the blonde stranger.

"This is the part where you introduce yourselves." Tamar said, he was usually kindly with Tayla, but not so much with strangers. He was always highly suspecious of others.

"forgive him, though a sharp tongue from an axe is somewhat fitting..." she said apologetically.

"Alessandro. But you can call me Alex. And this is my wife to be, Lorelei."

Though he seemed to be introducing nobody, the scarf disappeared and rematerialized as a girl who looked very much like Alex, only wearing a red and white version of his blue and black outfit.

Lorelei made hand motions, meaning 'hi'. Alex repeated what the motions meant out loud.

The girl clung to Alex's arm, smiling. "You see... We're--" Alex begun; Lorelei interrupted him by hitting him on the head. "I'm lost. And I can't find my classes. Since we're both Weapon Masters, we have the same classes, so..."

"Oh..." she said, and nodded. "I guess, that makes sense. And it is a pleasure to meet you both." Tayla said, and Tamar Nodded.

"I saw a sign about Weapon Master's class back this way... I didn't really get what it was about though... And since I just..."

"Tayla's soul noise is rather.... unique. And can cause her to.... loose track of where she's going. Or make her appeare in places she doesn't know... because I'm rather in sync, my soul noise allows me to follow her." Tamar explained.

"I could have explained that myself you know."

"YOu could have, but you were taking too long. Now lets go to this class thingy, I'm bored." He yawned to lend emphasis to his statement.

Tayla turned and began to trace her steps back though she wasn't at all sure she was following them exactly. "i think it's this way..." she said.

Lorelei signed something like 'Sounds like you, Alex'.

"Oh, whatever." The pair followed Tayla, and they wound up not being late. For once. The lecture was about how being a Weapon Master was a double edged sword. Alex wasn't listening, though Lor was being a diligent student and taking down notes.

They were lucky enough that there were enough free seats for Alex and Lor to sit next to Tayla and Tamar.

With Alex and Lor being so different, it's a wonder that they could resonate with each other.

Tayla didn't take notes. She merely folded her arms and sat back watching and listening to the teacher go on about responsibility and crap she already had pounded into her head from birth. Tamar was also bored, but he solved the issue by taking a nap.

Tayla elbowed Alex in the ribs. "Alex? What happens after this? I mean, I'm still lost about this place." She kept her voice low so that the teacher wouldn't hear her, though as in love with his own voice as he seemed it was unlikely that anything short of the room collapsing would bring his attention.

"Aho!" Alex coughed. Lorelei giggled.

"Lunch, I suppose. It's the one in the middle, where we can interact with all the other classes. By the way, I think we have classes with oriental spies, for PE."

"Aho!" Alex got the book that the teacher was reading thrown at him. "Mister Gambino, please do not talk in my class." To which Alex responded under his breath, "Whatever."

Thankfully, the teacher didn't hear him.

Tayla supressed a laugh when the book flew at them. Finally the bell rang and Tayla stood and stretched. Her back giving a few pops and cracks as she did so. Then she lightly kicked Tamar's chair. He snapped to attention, "wha I wasn't."

"Lunch." she said and he smiled widely.

"I like the sound of that." he said.

"I'm hoping one of you knows where the food's at, cause if I don't eat something soon, I'm going to roast Tamar." Tayla said with a laugh. She headed towards the doorway, Tamar following close behind. Tamar jumped and flew into her hand, where he changed into his axe form. "Too tired to walk?" she asked rolling her eyes.

"I just thought you'd like to grop someone handsome." He said smugly.

"I'm sure you did. " She slung him into the sling on her back. "You really should be leading the way." She said turning to Alex and Lorelei.

Lorelei followed suit and turned into a scarf that fit around Alex's neck.

"... Me? I have a bad sense of direction. I wound up across the academy earlier."

Alex darted straight for the boy's restroom-- Lorelei in tow. He hurried to fix his hair a bit. Yes, he was that vein. Though, the moment he got out, Lorelei returned to her human form for a bit to give him a good slap.

He then turned to Tayla. "You look rather threatening wielding your weapon..."

Tayla rolled her eyes at the vain gesture. She stood patiently waiting in the hall and when he returned she started walking again, following the general flood of people. A herd of people like this would generally lead to food.

"Thank you." she said though she knew it probably wasn't a compliment.

"Yes, I make all the difference. Alone she is nothing more than a pretty girl, put me in her hands she becomes Shiera! Princess of power!" Tayla didn't say anything, instead she threw her back against the wall, clanking the blade of the axe against the stone. "Ouch! was the really necessary?"

"No, but it was fun." Their relationship was antagonistic most of the time in public. "Now, Alex... No offense to you or you're... Fiance, but a scarf doesn't seem like much of a weapon..." She hadn't dealt much with unique weapon's masters. Those that she had, all had traditional weapons such as swords or throwing stars.

"Well, you may have noticed that... Lorelei isn't any normal scarf... Well, let's just see until we get assigned to a mission."

Alex wasn't very good at explaining things, but Lorelei's power lies in the fact that the scarf is prehensile. The two ends can turn into wings and also allow him to fly for up to a meter off the ground.

"I would show you during lunch, but Lorelei doesn't exactly like feeding me in scarf form. But she really likes riding on my neck of some reason."

Lorelei had turned back and Alex failed to notice until he felt Lorelei's familiar weight.

Tayla nodded, but raised an eyebrow. "Feed you?" She almost laughed. "Love, what a silly thing. We should have a battle sometime." She said and went up to a counter to grab some food, paying for it quickly.

"You want love too, admit it Tayla, you'd sell your soul for it." Tamar said from her back and she frowned.

"I'm just here to learn... And to fight. That's my purpose." She mumbled. "I'm a warrior, warriors can't afford love." Finding a table she sat and waited for Alex and Lorelei to either join or not. She wasn't sure whether she wanted to see a happy gigling couple at that moment. Tamar changed back and sat down beside her, picking at her tray of food.

"You need to get laid or something." He said under his breath. Tayla responded by stomping his foot under the table, making him jump for no apparent reason. She continued to pick at her plate, popping grabes into her mouth occasionally though for the most part she merely looked around the great hall and a tthe strange array of people.

"Not to interrupt, but you two DO make for a great couple." Alex pulled back Lorelei's chair for her and waited for her to sit down before he sat down himself.

He was having... Several burgers. It was a wonder that he looked so thin. How many were there? Five? Six? There were around ten burgers. Lorelei bought a fruit tart that... Looked like it was the fruit tart equivalent of ten burgers.

"Well, let's eat."

Yes. the worst DID happen. While they were NOT a giggling couple, they still managed to be mushy enough that they fed each other in the same way married couples do at their weddings.

Tayla looked at Alex like he was mad. "Me? And Tamar?" She sounded as disgusted as she did appaled.

Tamar merely laughed and put a hand on her cheek, turning her to face him. "He's right, I can't deny my burning passion for you any longer." Tayla's shock quickly turned to annoyed anger. Her face turning from a pleasent blush to an enraged tomato.

"Remind me to poison your drink next time." Tamar grinned widely.

TAyla all but vomitted with the mushy show of affection across the table from her. "I don't understand you... " She said finishing her meal. "Maybe its part of the transformation."

"Well, even before I was a weapon master and even before Lor realized she was a weapon, we were already engaged. Heck, before we were born, we were already engaged. The stars were just right. We were born on the same hour, but on different days. I was born on a Sunday and Lor was born on a Monday. Supposedly, there are days and hours where people are born that they're completely compatible," Alex explained.

Lorelei then began frantically moving her hands, as if she was trying to explain something exciting. "Oh yeah. And Lor says that even if we weren't, it's actually quite common for Weapons and their Weapon Masters to end up together."

Lor then continued, and Alex translated what she said. "--And even if we didn't end up liking each other, we couldn't really do anything about it. That's just the way it is. We got lucky."

There were other complex parts to their village's superstitions, but that's about it, basically.

Tayla nodded. While Tamar seemed ingrossed in the tale, then as it ended he leaned back and sighed. "Too bad Tayla doesn't go for the weapon type. I should give up on the notion all together I suppose," He teased. "But really, its nice to see two people who are happy together."

Tayla stood. "Shouldn't we be getting to the next class?" She handed in her tray and waited for the other two, hoping that they would know where to go from here.

"Oh? We still have an hour left, since after lunch, we get a free period after lunch. Lorelei and I are heading to the Library. You should know where it is, since there is a directory just outside the cafeteria," Alex explained. It was rather hard to miss, really, as it was a large, red octagonal prism. 'a' directory wasn't exactly the correct term to use as there were a few directories just outside all exits to the cafeteria.

Lorelei turned into a crimson scarf once more and wrapped herself around Alex's neck.

Alessandro Roqueforti Gambino and Lorelei Natalia Balducci. Weapon Master and Weapon. They surely were a strange couple, but then again, very few of those studying in The Academy were normal in any way.

She nodded and Tamar stood. "I think I want to get some training... You two love birds go neck it out and have fun." she said smiling and then walked out of the cafeteria, looking at the directory, she noted where gym was and then where anything else of importance might be. Though she was likely to forget it anyways.

Tamar followed behind her, and yawned. "Do you really want to train?"

"Yes." was her short snappy response. They trained for most of the hour before making their way to the gym for PE, already warmed up she felt good and energized. While Tamar seemed rather flushed around the edges.
