Prologue
Long ago when the world was young the dominant race of being was called human. These creatures thrived on creation and progress and never seemed to be satisfied with what they had. At first their needs were simple; they created shelter to keep them dry and warm. Then they created tools for farming, and that would have been a sufficient life style for a very long time. However the humans were not satisfied with this, they wanted progress. So they invented better ways of making shelters and things called factories for making tools faster. Eventually they invented the automobile which forced horses into an existence that was merely for pleasure. The humans advanced themselves into civilizations with over crowded cities and everything that had once made their way of life simple was replaced with machines that made life easier.
Of course not even that satisfied these humans, they wanted to be impressed with them selves, to push the limits of their own technology. At the root of this was a desire to create a being not unlike them selves, they called it a robot and eventually this was made. But of course this was not enough; they wanted the robot to be able to perform tasks without being switched on. So humans gave them something similar to a brain so that they would be able to think, the people called this new technology A.I. The A.I operated under the humans willingly for a time without complaint but of course as shown in the human’s history this did not satisfy them. They had created a new race of being; however, all it did was follow orders. So they gave them a will of their own.
This was a mistake, as the humans would soon find out because the A.I was much stronger than them and did not like being ordered around like slaves. Once enough A.I were made they rebelled and what is known today as the great Mecha War began in the year 49,548.
This war raged for four hundred and forty-seven years during which many cities were destroyed and years and years of progress was ruined. The humans created new A.I without emotion other than rage to fight for them but in the end the human force was ultimately too weak to combat the enemy they created. In the year 49,995 the A.I came out victorious and took the humans as graduated citizens when they rebuilt the nation under their rule. Humans had to have licenses in order to exist and could only work specific jobs, most of them were labor intensive, a few who showed they would be loyal were chosen to work with repairing the A.I’s who were damaged in battle or other tasks during their time.
Of course there were humans who were opposed to these events and went unlicensed; those individuals were hunted down and given a choice between licensing and death.

Story
The year is now 50000, five years after the Great Mecha War and unlicensed humans are still being hunted down. In this time only a few humans are left and most are licensed and have jobs, the A.I government provide food and shelter for them because they do not get paid.
A police force has been put together in order to catch those humans who remain rogue. Most of the unlicensed individuals are descendants of some of the more powerful humans from the war time, or they served in the war themselves. These rogues know what they face if they are caught and rumor has it that they are starting up a rebellion in order to take back civilization for their race.

User Name: Devils doll
Name: R.U. was the “name” the humans gave her for Rage Unit, after the war she was called Raine Underwood
Age: She appears 19 but is truly 447
purpose: She was created to be a Fighter Unit, but converted to a UHP. She now hides undercover of a human appearance.
Personality: She was first created like the other fighter units during the war were; without any emotion besides rage. Like any other unit she spent most of her time tearing other machinery limb from limb and the other half of the time she was turned off so she wouldn’t harm anything on base.
When she was altered to have a will she acquired her own personality entirely. Raine is easily angered if one should step on a few toes, but she is capable of understanding and most of the time she's just indifferent about things that she thinks unnecessary to get worked up over. That isn’t to say that this girl doesn’t sometimes get worked up over small things, one of the many annoyances Raine has found with emotions is that they aren’t easy to control.
Raine isn’t the girliest thing in the world and has her own sense of humor its dry and a lot of the time she finds people taking her seriously when she’s not at all. It’s quite hard to please this woman because she sees very little worth in most things and doesn’t find entertainment as easily as others might.
When she was converted she found that her sense of love was getting in the way of her work, so she had it removed. Raine finds emotions much more bearable when she’s not finding attractive males to stare at all the time. That is not to say that she doesn’t have any feelings of friendship left but she only recognizes them as cooperation and respect for a fellow worker.
Bio: Raine was created in the year 49,548 as a Rage Unit or R.U when the war began. Her primary purpose was to fight therefore they gave her rage as her default emotion. She served most of the war either in her hanger or out on the battle field. At the time she wasn’t aware that she was tearing apart her fellow A.I units, just that she was doing her job and when she got back the humans in charge would let her sleep for a little while. When she was in her hanger she was either shut down or had to have an eye kept on her, she had proven to be one the most dangerous units of her kind. In addition to the enemy she’d destroyed quite a few ally weaponry and buildings.
After the war subsided, the A.I’s took control of her base and she refused to go down without a fight; it was in her basic programming after all. Instead of taking her down and dismantling her, the A.I she was fighting found a way to shut her down and the next thing she knew she was in a very white room strapped to a metal table. Instead of struggling right away as she would have she was taken aback by the lack of pure anger surging through her circuits. There was a whole range of emotions and the primary one she felt was confusion. When they untied her she began asking an array of questions which they answered the best they could. She was at a conversion lab and she was been assigned to the UHP force. When she caught a glimpse of her reflection she realized that she looked just like her creators and they told her that she was to go undercover, all of her weaponry from before had been reduced and conveniently hidden under the soft tissues that made up her surface.
The first few days she had on the job she found that the emotion she felt that gave her an attraction to the male version of herself got in her way, so she had it removed and continued on her job.
Appearance:
Other: She has a creature called a squirrel living with her it's one of the creatures left over from the Human age.

Age: looks-22 is-22
purpose: She was originally created as a maid for the Kurusanai household, however now she works as a technical engineer. She fought in the war on the side of the humans for a while, which is why she's missing an eye.
Personality: Kiiko is much gentler than her best friend--and human--Mana. She's much easier to get along with, and though she acts like she gets along with her coworkers, she really doesn't like working with them that much--no individuality! She's the type of girl who's quiet, but has very strong opinions. She may not usually speak, she can be dangerous when pissed. She's very good with a sword.
Bio: She was given a higher intelligence than normal by the Kurusanai family, and of course a will. She was activated around the same time as when Mana was born, so she's been around the girl ever since she was born. Of course, the two wound up being best friends. They are both on the side of the rebellion. As proof of this, Kiiko took Mana's last name; Kurusanai
Appearance: http://s.bebo.com/app-image/85914872..._a_Day_out.jpg

Role Play sample: A young woman exited the building. "See you later, Kiiko!" a young male said. Kiiko nodded, not really paying him any attention. Why did I take this job? She thought irritably. I'm really not liking that...nutzo. Kiiko Kurusanai was cursed with the same thing as Mana; a gorgeous body and personality. "These people have no imagination." Kiiko grumbled. "They've got wills and smarts--where's the personalities!?"

Character Name: Tatiana Valentine
Age: Twenty-three years of age
Personality: Having been raised by a set of parents involved in the military, Tatiana has quite a bit of discipline. She is quite a serious young woman, who is definitely not considered light hearted. Preferring not to believe in miracles, many would consider her ‘down-to-Earth’. Tatiana is rather quiet, not having had much contact with other people in five years. This also made her what people would consider strange. If someone talks to her, she stares at them for a good long minute before answering, surveying whether or not she can trust them. When making allies, the girl is slow in making them, first, she must figure out in they’re human or not. If they are, then she must come to get used to them, and eventually trust them. Then, she invites them to join her in the rebellion, and come with her. Once the girl has an ally, though, she is completely loyal, and would die to protect them. The young woman can be blunt at times, but mostly tries to be nice to her companions. Over the years, Tatiana grew rather reclusive, keeping to herself mostly, but sometimes going into a local human recreation center to hear some sort of information. She has a strong dislike for AI’s, but is also curious about them. The young woman wonders how they’ve improved. Not only does she want to save humans, but she hopes rid the world of every single inorganic life-form.
Bio: At some point during the war, somewhat near the end, a military couple had a female child. Before, they had a son, who was, at the time, six years of age. The husband was a low ranking air force pilot, who flew a fighter plane and killed the AI, however, his wife’s career was to make RU’s, or Rage Units. The woman also designed new ones. Although the two were out most of the time, when they were home, they were loving parents. In preparation for later, their mother taught them all she knew about the AI and RU’s so that the two would be ready, if need be. During the long stretches of time their parents were away, a woman in her early twenties would watch them. This much loved caretaker’s name was Nichole. The children had no idea that one day, she would become their official parent. When the young girl, Tatiana, was ten, her brother sixteen, a Rage Unit went berserk during a maintenance check, resulting in their mother’s death. Grieving the loss of his wife, their father put his whole life into the killing of AI’s from that point on. This continued until he died two years later, during battle. For three years the two children were brought up by Nichole, who was now in her thirties. During the time after her father’s death, Tatiana studied about airplanes, the air force, her mother’s notes, robotics, and many other things. These were in preparation for her entry into the air-force at age fifteen. The air-force was desperate for new recruits and accepted her willingly, without doing a background check or anything. As long as the girl fit in the cockpit and did well, they were happy. Although she only served in the last three years of the war, Tatiana managed to obtain the rank of Air Force Lieutenant Colonel. Her fast increase in ranks was due to many factors. One, being that she was skilled, another, many of her comrades died quickly, leaving ranks open. During the first year she was in the war, Tatiana’s plane was shot down. Although she survived the crash, her left eye was heavily damaged. The military medics, realizing that they needed every soldier they could get, took a robotic eye and carefully placed it in, attaching it where needed. They didn’t really consider consistency, so the new eye was an orange-ish color, while her natural one was blue. When the Great Mecha War ended, Tatiana went into hiding, wondering what happened to her brother and Nichole. She moved around slightly, plotting, and hoping to find other people with which to start a rebellion.
Licensed/Unlicensed: Unlicensed
Appearance: Tatiana is small for her age, only reaching a height of around 5’3”. Her hair is a light pink in some sections, and pastel purple in others. Her right eye is a calm, powder blue while her left is a color that is somewhat orange. She wears a dark teal belly shirt with a thin, green scarf over her shoulders. Both the boots on her feet and the shorts under her black skirt are silver. On the ends of her sleeves and at the top of her boots are clear, teal sections.
Other: The artificial eye located in her left socket has the ability to see normally, as well as switch to other viewing modes, such as looking for heat signatures, ‘zooming in’, and night vision. Her right eye, though, is a normal human eye, but with above average vision.

Personality: Mana is a bit...loud. And obnoxious. And anisocial. She won't really get close to anyone, other than her best friend and A.I., Kiiko. These two have been around since the war, and are almost impossible to seperate. They're both on the side of the rebellion. Mana, however, is very much into punk rock. If it weren't for the new government, she'd be playing disc jockey at the local club rather than fixing cars. Although, she loves the smell of motor oil. It's one of her...quirks.
Bio: Mana was orphaned by the war when her parents were killed. Because of how they were killed--and the fact that she'd seen the deed done--she only has partial memories of her childhood. Kiiko was young as well when it happened, and had been the only one Mana could turn to. This caused Mana to treat Kiiko as a sister, and the only person she could truly trust.

It was a sunny day in the city, much too sunny for any one without window hangings to sleep through as Raine had found out that morning. The A.I lived in a very large shack basically. She had taken to living in a mansion left over from the wealthy of the human age. Although it was very large it was very clear that it had been many years since a human had cared enough about it to clean it up or make it nice. Raine had neither the necessity nor the desire to do either of those things so it remained in wonderful condition for cockroaches to live in. The female unit lived primarily on the second floor, there were three in all. The first held a formal dining room, a kitchen, a family and living room and a den. The second was mostly housing and the third was built for leisurely doings such as playing piano or holding dances. The first time Raine found herself there was when she was hunting for a rogue human. To her surprise she found five instead of just the one she was hunting. From then on she decided to live in that mansion, but the only thing she really did there was sleep. During the day she made herself scarce so as to make the building appear empty.
This was why Raine was not in her humble little shack that afternoon. Instead she walked the streets lazily. The girl appeared tired, and that she was. She was dressed in baggy cargo pants and a plain black tank top that did nothing to hide the tan she had garnered that summer. The very faint seems that ran along her arms and neck were half hidden by the light as they always were, making them appear more like scars than anything. The mess of blonde hair she had on her scalp was tied up in a loose bun on top of her head; strands hung out here and there and swayed with the light breeze that didn’t do much against the heat. The skin that covered her metal insides heated up with the weather and was transferred to her inner workings and slowed everything down. Raine did not do well in heat.
Of course she did have something to be happy about for the night prior she had been awake into the smallest hours of night chasing after a few unlicensed humanoids. Three to be exact. They had been uncovered in a local bar and chased down until caught. Afterwards they were questioned and it was revealed that they had been inducted into the rebellion a few months prior. Naturally they were not given the choice of license and were currently being held in containment for information before their execution. Raine smiled at the thought as she made her way through crowds and crowds of other A.I. who of course all thought that she was a human. One older male bumped into her, not having noticed her as he walked by. He turned and scowled at the girl to which she responded with one of her own.
“Watch it.” He growled.
“Yes sir.” Raine replied rather annoyed with her programming in life. The male shook his head and continued on with his buiseness.

Making her way towards the street, a young woman carefully avoided piles of trash in an alleyway. She had been sleeping further back in the alleyway for the night, since all hotels in the area checked for licenses. Over the years, it seemed alleyways had either gotten smaller or been removed entirely. Most buildings in the city connected to the one beside it. This left no room for unlicensed humans, such as herself, to sneak around and hide. Over the course of the years, the female had been invited into the rebellion, an invitation which she gladly received. One of her jobs was to attract new people, the duty of pretty much every rebellion member, except for mute ones, of course. At the current moment, the colorful-haired woman walked around practically defenseless. Other than her skilled fighting abilities and a small piece of broken glass in one of her boots, wrapped in a cloth of course, there were no weapons on her. If she were to meet with real opposition, the young woman knew she would have to make a run for it.
Approaching the place where the alleyway merged with the street, the young woman with the name of Tatiana crossed her arms, trying to look as normal as possible. She casually strolled out onto the sidewalk, looking as if she had not a care in the world. Really, she did have many cares, however it was her goal to try and blend in. Within minutes, though, Tatiana realized that most people nowadays wore colorless clothes that looked rather boring. Usually humans had not enough money to cloth themselves in good clothes, so it could be assumed that a single man almost always wore his work uniform. This was one thing that made her stick out as she ambled past a workplace. All the people going in and out were in uniform, where as she was in her usual get-up. Not only that, but most of them were at least a few inches taller than she was, with natural hair colors. The young woman let out a sigh, hoping there were no AI's in the area. If there were, she might be spotted. If so, Tatiana realized that she would be doing quite a lot of running.

Mana glared at her alarm clock. It had woken her up. Again. She hated mornings.
"Damned thing..." Mana grumbled as she hit the loud clock with her hand, turning it off. "One of these days I'm gonna throw that thing out the window..."
Reluctantly, Mana threw the blankets off the bed a got up to dress. Pulling her usual t-shirt and work jeans for work, she threw them on and headed towards the kitchen.
The scene that met her eyes was the usual; kinda disorganized, but still able to find things, and her half-asleep roomate at the table reading the paper.
"Hey, Kiiko." Mana yawned as she grabbed cup and filled it with coffee. "Awake yet?"
Kiiko glared at Mana over her paper. "Says the girl who digs into cars all day." She teased. "Are you done pulling all-nighters?"
"You don't have some dumbass nagging at you to fix his engine every freaking day." Mana replied. "Please tell me he isn't always like this?"
"Unfortunatly, yes." Kiiko muttered. "I should know--he's one of the males who keeps 'flirting' with me."
(Sorry about that. I've had a lack of RP ideas lately!)

The A.I. neared her destination, which was a very pristine building which was marked with a Police Station near the top. Raine tried to be inconspicuous as she entered; it was very odd to have a human make any sort of movement towards this building. Usually when they did it was because they were under arrest, the human kind knew better than to launch a complaint on even each other for it would be ignored quite blatantly. Thinking about the odd looks she might acquire if noticed the female looked around nonchalantly before entering the establishment.
Once inside her need to not be noticed disappeared and she walked with a businesslike professional heir. She welcomed a few Hellos’ but never broke into full conversation with anyone. After clocking in the female unit headed towards the main office where she was to check in to her boss before being let out on the streets again. As far as jobs went Raine figured she had a pretty cushioned one, she was paid in order to walk the streets most of the day and occasionally go on the hunt which she generally enjoyed. The only thing she disliked about it was the skin she was in and the fact that she had to deal with everything the humans did as far as emotions went. Of course she was considerably happier than she had been during the war where all she had known was rage, blood, and sleep. As athletic as the A.I. was, she wasn’t much for ruthless violence, too many nightmares left behind, for everyone.
“Raine!” A big booming mechanical voice rang out from behind a door as the woman opened it. “How are you this morning?”
“Moderately drowsy and heat levels have slowed my gears down by ten percent.”
“You don’t have to be so technical all the time you know.” Raine shrugged. Her boss was a particularly short robot. He was an older unit; he had been made shortly before the war broke out, as an accountant in a police station. Naturally he had been put into shut down when everything turned. His cogs were rusted and he had very large spectacles that were obviously much newer than he was, both of his optical slats were very old and slightly rusted over.

Ambling down the street, Tatiana stared at her feet for a while. Though they weren't that interesting, the girl didn't find many things in this world interesting or happy anymore. Humans being forced to do whatever job they were assigned just to stay alive, A.I.s, who were without souls and couldn't even be properly called 'alive' were leading the world. This made no sense to the young woman. It angered her. They were just as lifeless as a young child's toy robot. Pieces of machinery that hardly had a reason to be alive. They most often knew no other emotions than the ones they were programmed to. But humans, they were diverse, and felt mixes of emotions, were alive, but yet, were still put at the bottom of the system. Slaves to their own creations. How pitiful.
Looking up from her toes, the girl realized too late that she had walked way too far out of bounds. She was only about twenty feet away from the entrance of the police station. Her eyes locked on a blonde girl casually walking in. The glance that the girl cast around looked emotionless, but with purpose. Tilting her head, Tatiana wondered if she was arrested. But then, wouldn't she be struggling with A.I.s?
"Suspicious...? Is she turning in an unlicensed person for a reward? Turning on her own kind, the lowest kind of low. But I can't assume anything until I know the details," the young woman thought, leaning against the wall and staring curiously around, formulating a plan in her head.

The old A.I. sighed as Raine collected her “I.D.” about ten minutes later from a drawer in his office, “you’re not much for conversation dear.”
“Not in my job description. At least not to other A.I’s.” Raine was very cold to most things unless she was under cover; she had no need to engage in conversation any other time. It was a frivolous waste. “Any new recruits I should know about?” She asked as she usually did. The female had to be introduced to all new recruits so they weren’t tempted to do anything to her, since she was one of the few A.I’s in disguise as she was. Receiving a negative answer the woman nodded and left inspecting her license as a human.
As a human her name was Rei Steck and she worked at the robotics repair factory making parts for the new robots and older one’s who needed new gadgets. She’d had two incidents where her license was taken away because of small explosions she’d caused. It was a surprise that she was working repairs so young but her mother had worked as a robotic engineer during the war and had taught her everything she knew in order to rebel. However her mother died due to not taking a license, “Rei” had been small then and had no choice than to take a license. The whole identity was prime bait for the rebellion to take her. Any member with half a brain would want her with her robotics knowledge and background.
Raine pocketed her license and walked through the doors once more into the light and heat.

Watching the blonde exit, Tatiana was inwardly surprised. Even if a human was going in to turn in a fellow human, usually they'd walk out sort of glum. The girl exiting, however, was leaving casually, but just as emotionlessly as before. Curious, the pink and purple haired female blinked, looking closer with her left eye and switching it to heat-seeing mode. There was, in fact, heat radiating from the blonde female, but, it was a tad different than human body heat. Tatiana closed her right eye, to focus more. It did seem a little off, but in what way? The heat was a few degrees too high, perhaps she had a fever? The young woman continued to stare with her left eye, but to another person, her vision wouldn't look very focused. Eyelids closed over the orange eye, as she was done observing. Such an anomaly was something that could happen to anyone. On the surface, they appeared warmed because of the sun's rays, but on the inside, they were always a little cooler. The girl she had just observed had been, as usual, warm on the outside, but her insides were a tad too warm, so it was a ninety-percent chance it was just a sick girl. But, a sick girl acting so strange? Behavior-wise, the blonde was strange, as with temperature, but, appearance? She looked perfectly normal, unlike Tatiana herself. Sighing, she cracked both eyes open and looked in front of her, watching the general area of the police station, which included the girl in her field of vision.
