Sorry if the story seems weird. My friend wrote the oringinal version and it was even worse. I'm having trouble expressing what I want from the witch and the RP I think. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

11:37PM EST 3/5/2010 I will be busy the next two days so I won't be able to read you profile submissions right away but when I get back home at about 9:30 EST Sunday I will read them and any time I have between now and then, which won't be much if any.

History

Thirty years ago a witch began to steal the souls of those around her through trickery and favors. It wasn't long before a group of vigilantes banded together to fight her. She had collected a few followers over the years and they helped protect her from the army of the angry and distraught. In the end she had to fall into hiding and ration the souls she had already stolen.

Now thirty years later the witch has run out of souls for her necklace of immortality to consume and has returned as rumors of an old hag giving out jewelry with the power to grant someone their wish. The hag only asks that you sign her book and you must return the favor, even if she asks for your soul.
The only problems that have arisen in her plan thus far are the gradual increase in deaths around the continent and her clients are starting to notice the flaws she intentionally puts into their jewelry of power. It looks like she may have another war on her hands unless she can take absolute control over the continent.

Rules

1. Follow Menewsha ToS and rules and stuff.
2. I want this roleplay to be literate. You should know what that means by now. If not then you should read the roleplay guide. I would like around 100 words per post. Here's my example for 100 words (it's actually 99 words) so you can know that it's not that bad. Just try to get close to it.

Is this a hundred words? I think this is a hundred words. Even if it is not a hundred words it is getting somewhere close to a hundred words so that I can judge how much a hundred words is. If I know what a hundred words looks like then I will be able to tell people whether or not a hundred words is a reasonable post length for my role-play. If a hundred words seems like too much then I will lower it to fifty or something. I do not know what I would lower it to yet.

3. Use double brackets or double parentheses when you write in OOC, though I will have an OOC thread for us to write in.
4. Be nice, respectful, polite, and whatever else has a positive connotation, in OOC please.
5. When IC write in third person only. When OOC you can write however you like, but talking in third person is kinda a pet peeve of mine so I'd like if you didn't do that. ^_^;;
6. Absolutely NO god-moding or powerplaying. Everyone has weaknesses and no is perfect. I can accept small, tiny, insignificant, breaks in the rule, but if I find that you're being out of control I will speak to you about it and if you continue I will boot you from the roleplay, put you on the blacklist, and either kill your character or find someone to take it over as best they can.
7. Romance, violence, and plot advancement are greatly encouraged but make you follow Menewsha's and my rules. You don't need my permission or anything to move the plot along, but I will talk to you if we go from "2 out of 7 people have their power jewelry" to "EPIC BATTLE FOR THE WORLD!!!" That's too much. Make it a gentle shift. 'Kay? :D
8. Private message me with the title "Our Solemn Hour" and your characters name. Also, start off the profile with telling me one of my rules but in your own words. Additionally, make the profile pretty. It doesn't really matter how. Use a different font or a different color. Whatever. :)
9. Please, please, please be active! Try to post at the very least once a day. I'll accept once every two days but that's as far as I go without you telling me why beforehand. I want us to be more active then that though. Several times a day would be great!

I think that's is for rules but I may add something. I'll tell people when I add something though so you're not like, "OMG! That wasn't there before! No fair!!!"

Bio: Minetta grew up in a small village where everyone knew each other and though it has gotten slightly larger everyone stays close. She met the love of her life once she started being taught with the other children. Ambrose was two years older than Minetta, which stopped him from returning her feelings until he hit puberty and realized the age difference wasn’t so bad. They got married several years later to everyone’s excitement, especially her brother’s and mother’s who knew it was going to happen long before the couple did. Minetta and Ambrose both want several children, but have not been able to have any of their own yet. In the mean time Minetta takes care of her brother’s son and twin daughters since his wife died.
Aside from the lack of children in the Valentine household, everything in the village was the best it had been in years. Crops were bountiful, the weather was gentle, and everyone was happy, until Ambrose and several others fell prey to an illness that no one could treat. They even sent for a doctor from the nearby city of Miiska to help. Hearing a rumor about the old woman giving out charms and magic Minetta decided to venture out and find her. She was determined to get a healing gem so she could cure her village. ((223 words.))
