"It started a long time ago."
The war between Science and Religion has been waged for as long as human kind can remember. Peace has been fleeting, if existant at all, and terror has run rampant.

"Our world is a wasteland..."

The year is 2150. The war that was fought behind closed doors and over broadcasts has by now become a true, all out war. Cities have been decimated by the warring factions, lives destroyed. On one side are those who hold true to the miracles of Science, who search for truth through their microscopes and knowledge. On the other side are those who search for truth through their faith. All the religions of the world have been assimilated into one religion, the Religion, to be exact.

"I think we have found the answers."
Both sides have pulled out all the stops. The Scientists have created machines and augmentations, all to increase their chances of winning and, ultimately, survival. The Religious have called upon seemingly darker forces, calling upon unholy creatures to destroy the Forsaken....

The war has been waging forever, no discernable break on the horizons. But when the followers begin to question their causes, will peace finally find steady ground, or will the world be consumed by chaos?

Note: This rp is merely fiction. This does not reflect my views on religion or science. I will NOT tolerate any real religion bashing.

"Our world has broken up into two factions."
~The Scientists.
- Not all the Scientists are brilliant. Those are only the leaders, at the core of the operations. They have surrounded themselves with a genetically augmented race to defend themselves and help carry out what they see as necessary. While some of the augmentations are subtle, others are monumental, ranging from simple augmentations to speed and mental ability to changes in size, the addition of weapons, you name it. While all of their followers have been augmented, a select few have been molded into a super-race, Project Hydra.

-The People.
Several new races have emerged from the Scientists' augmentations. There are the humans, who are humans with weaker powers. Then there are the Cyborgs, a human/machine hybrid prototype. Some are obviously cyborgs, while others can easily blend in with other humans. The next step up from the Cyborgs are the Virtua, a perfected human/machine hybrid. While they look perfectly human, their height (most average at 6'2") and the battery slots at the back of their necks give them away. Their batteries are small chips that must be replaced once every three months, or the Virtua will shut down. Finally, there are the Hydra, a virtually indestructable race. The Hydra have blood red eyes and are rumored to feed on human blood. They function best at night, and while they are the perfect killing machine they will rarely ever kill unless instructed to or in self defense.

Note: If you wish to be a Hydra, you must first clear it with me.

-The lab.
The Scientists have built a gigantic complex underground, which serves as a base for them. Deep in the center of this giant honey-combed complex are the labs, where the children and new followers are taken....

~The Religious
- Deep at the core of this faction are the Zealots, the leaders of the many followers. They oversee everything that goes on; they make all the decisions. For the past hundred years they have been calling upon the Dark God to help their people in their quest for purity. The Dark God has blessed the followers with powers, some minor, some major. The stronger the power, however, the greater effect it has on your appearance; an aesthetic change that some would call demonic. Right below the Zealots are the Angels, those the Dark God has blessed with the ultimate gift to protect their people.

-The People
Several new races have stemmed from the Dark God's interference. There are the humans, regular humans with very weak or no powers (the "unblessed".) Then there are the Blessed, those who possess average powers. They are characterized by markings burned into their forearms by the Dark God. Right above the Blessed are the Argons, the Religious equivalent to a Virtua. They are characterized by skin in shades of gray (ranging from a very light gray to a dark, charcoal gray) and pointed ears. Then there are the Angels, the highest protectors of the Religious. They are characterized by silver eyes, and each one carries an unbreakable glass container in which they collect the souls of the Forsaken they slay.

Note: If you wish to be an Angel, you must first clear it with me.

-The City.
The City is the center of operations for the Religious. It has grown over the centuries into a sprawling, city-like cathedral. At the center is the Chapel, a place where the Zealots take the children and new converts to be blessed...

"The Rules we've learned to survive by."

1. Follow Mene ToS. It's as simple as that.
2. Remember this number.
3. I am god. No ifs, ands, or buts.
4. No godmodding. That takes the fun out of the game. So, no one-hit kills, and if someone wants to run they can totally run.
5. Be respectful of the other characters. Never be rude to your fellow rp-ers, and if your character is an ass, then fine, but don't go overboard with it.
6. Please be semi-literate at least. Please try to have at least one good, solid paragraph per post- while the occasional one-liner is acceptable, make sure it is at least something someone can work with. (i.e. instead of "he sat" use "he sat across the room from her" so on and so forth.)
7.Send pm's to me- do not post them or things will get very messy very fast and you will be ignored. Title them "Murder by numbers" if you are a Scientist and "Counting bodies like sheep" if you are a Religious.
8. Remember that number? Put it in your profile as well.
9. I have the right to refuse service to anyone. I also have the right to add more rules as I feel necessary.
10. Fighting and romance is encouraged. But don't go over pg-13. No sex, in other words. If you're going to fight someone, make sure its okay with them, and for god's sake don't kill each other without the okay from the person you're killing as well as me.
11. No one is a god. Period. No one is even a 1/24000 of a god. So just don't go there.
12. If you wish to leave the rp, please give me a notice. Just so that I know; I won't argue with your decision.
13. I would like to keep this rp going to the end, so please try and post at least a few times a week. If you do not post within one week, I will pm you asking for a reason. If you do not reply or you're reason is not, well, reasonable (i.e. "Oh, I'm sorry. I totally forgot.") then you may be asked to leave.
14. You may have up to three characters, but please keep up with them.
15. Please, enjoy yourselves

One night her parents caught her with a religious text and they kicked her out of their home. Alice was homeless at the age of seven, had no where to go and no one and nothing to turn to - except for god. Alice prayed constantly for strength and help to survive. To her it worked, things were not as horrible as they could have been she lived a basic life on the streets and she owed it all to god. Through out the time Alice lived on he streets she was exposed to war - something she was sheltered from in her home. It opened her eyes to the suffering and it killed her inside. When she turned 17 Alice wanted to repay god for everything he had done for her - she asked to be his soldier - his guardian for the people, so she may up hold the belief and sustain a religious way of life. That is her only goal now - to do what she can to thank god.

Specialty: Ability to heal self and others, naturally superior to people.Ie, Strength, speed, reflexes...etc.
Other: Other - Alice may not love to kill, to draw blood or to wreak havoc. Yet, she definitely will not hesitate to fight in order to protect her people in the name of god. "Science is the Key."
Accepted Scientists.

Name: Piper Munroe/ Claire Renning
Age: 18
Date of birth: January 28
Faction: Scientist
Race: Cyborg
Biography: Unlike the other Cyborgs, Claire wasn't created in a lab. She was born a regular human child by the name of Piper Munroe, with all the potential of being a future leader. Smart, pretty, and talented, Piper had the world stretched before her. Then, when she was 12, a terrible accident happened. Most of her body was destroyed, all hope seemingly lost.

However, her father was friends with one of the top Scientists. The two stole the child's body in the middle of the night and turned her into what she is now. They even managed to recreate most of her body, removing all traces of the accident, except for two things. One were the scars over her left eye; while they could replace the eye, the scars somehow refused to be erased.

The other was her memory. As a result of the accident, Piper's mind was destroyed. They were able to recreate it, but the only thing they could not rebuild were all of her memories. Her father decided it was best if she was raised as an orphan, to ease the pain her family would endure from their beloved daughter not knowing any of them.

She has lived by the name Claire Rennings ever since the day she woke up, and has grown up into an independent, strong young woman. She is well-known among the people, but no one knows that she was once a very normal little girl named Piper Munroe.
Specialty: Claire is extremely fast. Her right arm can also turn into a cannon, but she can only shoot it once every ten minutes, to avoid overheating.
Other: She has scars on the left side of her face, that stretch diagnally from her eyebrow to her jawline. Her left eye is red.
Appearance:

Name: Claudia Dugall (Due-gaul)
Age: She's actually 24, but she tends to look about 9.
Date of birth: December 2
Faction: The Scientists
Race: Hydra
Biography: Claudia is one of the elite, selected before her birth to become a Hydra. She was taken from her parents immediately after birth, never to know her birth parents or that she was born at all. Operated on for over seven years, Claudia was finally "born" at the age of 8. She was given the ability to shape shift, but the doctors soon realized her flaw- while she could change into any form she pleased, her human body was stuck as that of a nine year old.

Over the years, Claudia learned to use her disability to her advantage, and became a cold, ruthless enforcer. Behind her childlike mask is a cold woman who shows no mercy for her enemies. She is one of the most renowned of the Hydra, and one of the most feared.

At the age of 21, Claudia woke up to find that she had suddenly aged, finally looking her age. She could still shift into the form of her younger self, and tends to stay in that form when she can, as it is more comfortable for her.

Specialty: Claudia can shapeshift into any form. And while it is not a power given to her through the augmentations, she is unusually cold and a tad cruel.
Other: She hates Claire
Appearance: Regular Claudia
"Older" Claudia

Biography: Casius has very little recollection of his life before the augmentation. He recalls a family of which he was an only child and the shadows of people he presumes to be his parents, but not what these people were like or how his home life was.

For some reason, he seems not to care too much and spent much of the remainder of his childhood discovering and honing his new-found skills as a Hydra. This time on his own has made him rather impassive about the wellfare and/or wellbeing of others and slightly taken aback whenever someone should inquire about his own.

He is a soldier more than a sociable person, doing what he's told only because he is told to do it and can't really imagine what he'd be doing anywhere else. He's often taken only a brainless, cold fighter but truely is a deep thinker and has many times in private considered the choices of both the Scientists and the Religious but found few justifiable answers for himself. He believes that he has no other purpose now, as a creation of science, than to follow the leaders' orders and that, and only that, is what's keeping him here.
Specialty: Obvious superiority to humans, in strength and endurance more than in speed. Regenerative powers When his own blood is spilt, it hardens to diamond strength. He often uses it as a form of weaponry, using a small knife to break his skin and spray the blood out before it hardens into a long, sword-like shape.
Other: Casius is wise for his age and relatively calm in any situation. However, there is a reason his home life has been blurred and the few instances where the images have become sharpened have ended with unpleasant results.

Biography: Anastasia's mother died during child birth and her father disappeared when she was young. While no one really knows why, she had been taken in by the government and its scientists only to be agumented on. Though she was too young, and no one knew at the time, some of her abilities came before the augmentation. Things such as her weapons came afterward.

After many years she was finally awoken as a hydra. She did the willing of the scientists without a second thought. A few years ago she was brought in for a 'check up' of sorts which is where a chip was implanted within her. At that point her orders became more of suggestions in her mind as her previous life began coming back to her.

The people who had taken care of her for so long had seemed to turn against her. They didn't care about her, they just cared about the next best thing and they wouldn't let anyone stop them. She continued to do as she was told but it began to weigh heavily on his concious. She was no longer sure that the side she was fighting for was the one in the right. She started wanting an out, somewhere safe to go.
Specialty: For her superiority over humans, she has her increased flexibility and speed. She is also a regenerate and can teleport. As for fending herself, Anastasia has full size katanas in both of her forearms.
Other: While having her blades, Anastasia is also a weapons expert of sorts, though it's not something she's proud of.

Claire pushed white-blonde hair out of her eyes, exhaling slowly. She paused at a large boulder and decided to sit and take a rest- she had been walking five miles without stop, and even she needed a break.
She set her rucksack down and leaned back against the rock, examining the land around her. It was beautiful, in a haunting sort of way... but it was all so wrong. She had never seen pictures, but she had heard about how wonderful the land had been, everything green and brown and beautiful. Now, it was all in shades of gray, even the sky.
She sighed and shook her head, leaning down to check her laces. The brown leather boots had been specially made for her, metal plates protecting her ankles, toes, and heels. They also laced all the way up to her knees, a style she had been fond of. She quickly checked them, then ran a finger up a faint line on the exposed part of her thigh. It looked like just a line, but it was indented, a place where the plates of her body were welded together. Claire knew what she was; there was no shame in it. She brushed her shorts off as she stood up again, picking up her rucksack and looking out to calculate exactly where she should go.

At the same time, Luke Cheveral exhaled slowly, smoke drifting from between his lips. He leaned forward, dark hair falling into his eyes. He was perched high atop the city, on one of the arches that made up the main Cathedral. He smirked as his eyes scanned the land- while the City looked fine on the streets, from up here he could see that it was all falling to shit. The edges of the City were crumbling in on themselves.
He leaned back and took another drag of his cigarette, shaking his head. What a waste of time, he thought, watching the gray clouds idly.

Steel boots thudding against the ground, step after step. A slender young woman with a large wingspan crosses the horizon to meet ten cyborgs, coming ever closer to where the people resided.

"You foul machines - you dare come this far." Alice was old fashioned, she needed no gun, her sword was designed to slice through nearly anything. Un-sheathing her blade she raised it in the air above her head and the sun glistened off of it. "In the name of god! I will vanquish you!" Charging down he hillside took moments with the superiority god blessed upon Alice. Slashing the first cyborg into four even quarters took but moments and continuing on into anthers chest was child's play. Pulling out her blade she bent backwards slicing off a cyborgs legs and then cutting it in half, also slicing the one in half she had stabbed.

Spinning back she took off ones head then cleaved it in two, not noticing she had gone so far as to cut the one behind it as well. Coming down with her blade she sliced one in half then pulled out her swords arc and cut it in half from the waist - four pieces once more.

Six cyborgs down in an instant - the others to slow to realize she had attacked. Now they had processed her presence things were to be tougher. One pointed its gun-like arm at her until she chopped it off and then the cyborg in half, she heard the other three charged their rounds and prepare to open fire. She throw her sword into ones chest then ran it, jumping, she landed on its chest standing up and pulled out her blade, taking off its head. She swung around to slice the other cyborgs arm and half his upper torso off. Yet, moments before she could throw her sword into the final cyborg she got shot in the chest knocking her off her cyborg stool.

The final cyborg shot her square in the left arm, knocking her down. Her body rejected the bullet and she began healing instantly, but the cyborg came over for the final shot. Just as it squeezed off the shot Alice kicked him in the lower torso, the shot missed her head but hit her lover abdomen. She crawled to her sword and grabbed it, swinging it around into the cyborgs head - killing it.

These cyborgs were half human at least, Alice knew because of the blood and lubricants they spilled at their death. Her glass cylinder collected ten souls, which she would later give to god for his judgment. Pulling herself to her feet the bullets from her body lied bloody on the ground - and her wounds had healed. Along with her armor - which she had taken from her parents work place as a kind of personal revenge.

Her wings threw themselves open and she raised her sword high above her head, "Let all those who cross here know of thine righteousness my lord! For as long as I breathe thy will shall be done!" Falling to her knees she needed a breather, she had yet to rest for weeks - as superior as she was she was still not as strong as she could be, much more training needed to be done.

Luke heard the battle from where he was and stood, scanning the land. He finally spotted the source- of course, by the time he saw it it was already over. He recognized the wings of an Angel- And it was one of the higher ranking ones. Only they had those ridiculously large wings.
He pondered for a moment, wondering if he wanted to go check out what had happened or stay put. He wasn't too sure he cared enough; Angels were tough, and that one probably didn't have a scratch on her.

Alice took a few deep breathes before exhaling. She put her sword back in its sheathe and began to survey the land - the outer wall of the city was crumbling, it explains why those mechanized monsters dare come this far. In the distance she could hear the sounds of metal, and she felt like she was being watched. She was unsure where these eyes were coming from - and she hadn't the time to care when mechanized monsters are possibly making their way over here. It was decision time, go back for help - or take them on herself.

"Placing her hand on the hilt of her blade she prepared for the worst, no beast would cause her to retreat, nothing would stop her from holding down this ground. If gods plan was for her to die here - then so be it. "What is the worst case scenario? A Hydra appears? It is better suited for the night and anything below a Hydra - fighting on its own will be no match for gods will." Drawing her blade she prepared to fight, she prepared to win - but was ready to die.

(( Okay <3 ))

Alice spotted a beat up machine, very old. It was probably used as a scout - feeding information directly to a forward base or just to the main science city. Alice instantly thought of a way to spread the word of god - and try to warn them she will not let them harm her people. Alice put her sword in its sheathe and approached the mechanized machination. Looking at it this closely it had no weapons, just a relay to display live footage without having to retrieve the body for the sounds. Regardless, it was so old - but at least the science city recycles.

Looking into its recording camera of an eye Alice made her speech. "Hello to those who do not believe in his grace, which is god. I am here to tell you that as long as I draw breathe from gods green earth shall I fight you. I will execute gods will amongst your people - and that is redemption - I will bring forth a redemption to cleanse your souls. You will be save, for you are all children of god." Alice drew her blade and destroyed the weak robot, just cutting it in half so easily. Looking between the halves of the robot, past the wires - and spurting blood and oil - Alice saw at least twenty cyborgs... headed her way.

Luke saw the oncoming cyborgs and actually dropped his cigarette. Shit, that couldn't be good. He doubted even an Angel could hold off that many- twenty had come over the hill so far, but there were more on the way. He lept off the roof and hit the ground running, going as fast as he could. As much as he hated this place, it was the only home he had. Besides, he couldn't let that girl do all the work by herself. He arrived minutes later, as they marched on. "That looks pretty wild," he commented mildly, casting a glance at her. He didn't know her, which was probably good- she hadn't been one of the ones who had arrested him over the years.

"Dammit, dammit, dammit," Claudie hissed, tearing her headset off. She quickly typed in a code that destroyed the message, then stormed through the lab. "Someone call up a squad of the Virtua, right now," she ordered, steaming. How dare that.... The woman shook her head, pushing black hair out of her eyes. "Damn religious nuts....," she grumbled darkly, as she pushed someone out of the way and began typing orders into a computer.

Claire paused as an order suddenly flashed into her head, wincing at the pain. Ah, there was a battle. She looked out in the direction that the coordinates pointed to, hesitating. She should go, but could she leave the supplies here? no way could she take them into battle.... She shook her head and slung the pack on. She had no choice but to go. She began to run, knowing it would take her some time to get there.

Alice turned to the ... human boy? "What are you doing here child?" Alice turned to the boy and grabbed his arm, "I suggest you get out of here - there is no need for children of god to be harmed. If I die here it was my destiny to do so." Alice drew her blade and pointed it forward, only a few more minutes before those mechanized demons began to open fire. "Please boy - leave here at once, I am unsure of my abilities to protect you in this up coming fight." Alice put her hand on the boys chest to push him back but he seemed stubborn - even his words were stubborn.

"If you wish to stay - you will fight?" Alice glanced over at him - he had no weapon revealed and there was no time to search him, "If you are un-armed run when I charge. If you have a gun - provide cover and if you wish to feel the steel against your hand I suggest we watch each others backs." Alice smiled to the sky, and raised her sword. "God, I ask of you - grant me your favor in this battle - grant me more of your strength so I may do what you require of me... Thank you." Alice had closed her eyes for her few words and now they were opened - blade between her eyes she focused onwards.

"May they know true peace!" Alice lunged forward tearing through several of the machines. "If you wish to fight for god - do something!" Alice yelled as she hacked her way through the metal tyrants - blood and oil flying in every direction... but then she jumped away and used her wings for extra distance. "God has told me to stand by you - that you will finish this." The ground was soaked in blood and oil and reinforcements had arrived - Alice killed a good batch already but needed to rest. "Oh lord - I hope you are right...."

Luke scowled- he wasn't some little human kid. He opened his mouth to protest when there was a short burst of fire. He ducked and rolled, surprised and extremely thankful that he had somehow managed to move fast enough to avoid it, if only barely. He began to talk again when he noticed the oil all over the ground. A smile lit his face like a match. "I can take care of myself, Angel," he said, rising to his feet. "Hope you don't mind the heat." He snapped his fingers, then flicked them- sending a bright blue flame at the oil. It lit up instantly and began to spread through the ranks, burning through the cyborgs. He surpressed the urge to laugh- no time to get cocky now, the fight was far from done.
"Hey, Angel," he called, looking up at her. "What's say we finish the rest of this mess? I'm sure they'll send reinforcements."

Alice looked at the human child - who was not so human. "God told me you would do that. Those are the cleansing flames - and my sword shall free the final survivors from their bodies." Jumping over the fire, and fanning it down with her wings to ensure a burn free landing Alice landed on the other side of the flame where she quickly dispatched the survivors. The flame settled on a scene of Alice driving her sword through a cyborgs chest - "God will re-deem all of you." Pulling her sword up it sliced the head in two. The souls sailed gently into the glass container Alice carried around.

Turning back to the boy she walked in his direction - "What is your name? I wish to thank you properly - and I hope you will thank god for our luck here today." Alice had no smile, but she was not upset - she was emotionless, but she tended to seem like a care giver they way she spoke about the people who lived in the city. "Come boy - tell me your name and what your doing here on the way back home." Alice turned to make her journey home - her wings would stay folded up, there was enough fighting today.

"The name's Luke," he said, turning to walk with her. "As for what I'm doing here... I guess helping an Angel." He shrugged, pushing his hair out of his eyes. "I saw the commotion and thought I'd join the fun. What about you? I mean, what's you're name?" He figured he couldn't just keep calling her Angel, as convenient as it was. He glanced at the glass container, and then at her face, then looked straight ahead as the City grew closer.

By the time Claire made it to the battlegrounds, the troups had already been destroyed. She hid behind a tree, a sinking feeling in her gut. Dammit, Claudia would kill her. She spotted two figures walking away from the battle and instinctively ducked more behind the tree, a soft hiss slipping from her lips. One was an Angel, there was no mistaking that- her wings were folded against her hated back. The other was nothing more then a boy, but then again you couldn't base power on appearance.

Alice walked alongside the boy and listened, "Well then Luke, thank you for your assistance." Alice had that weird feeling once more - it was now obvious Luke was watching before, but now?

"I do not wish to startle you Luke, stay calm and do not look back - we are being watched by a mechanized demon." Alice looked at him and unfurled his wings to cover his body. "My wings will act as your shield if the need be - if something comes up just run." Alice looked at him and nodded to ensure he knew she was serious. "This one came late - and was far to silent to be an old machine used as a scout. Its power could be that of a Hydra for all we know." Alice was aware she could be scaring the boy but he deserved to know.

"Luke, you can run fast as I now know, so remember if anything happens you run - unless I state otherwise. Understood?" Alice looked at Seth, her steel high heels making him taller then him when in reality they were probably the same height. "My wing has you covered so don't be afraid to speak or nod - she will know of neither."

Luke looked over his shoudler instinctively, her wings obstructing his view. It was kind of irritating that she kept treating him like he was five, but he guessed he couldn't blame her. A small shudder ran up his spine as she said Hydra- he hated them. "I'll run if I have to," he said nonchalantly. "But if it's a Hydra, don't you think two are better then one?"

Claire shrunk when she saw the Angel's wings unfurl. Crap, she had been sensed. Claire wasn't a coward, but she wasn't stupid either- she couldn't handle an Angel and whatever the boy might be. Well, she might be able to take the boy, but definitely not an Angel. She quietly began to back away, holding her breathe even though she knew she had already been detected. She dared not take her eyes off them- they could pounce on her in a second. Her arm began to heat up, preparing to shift into her cannon if they attacked.

Alice looked down at the boy, Luke. "Do you want to send a message to the science capital?" Alice smiled, her plan was genius. "If you roll around my wing and cover the area with a wall of fire I can get a surprise attack on the enemy. I want to injure it - and send it back with a message. Something long overdue." Alice looked down at Luke, what was she thinking? Involving a boy like that into a fight like this? "Never mind Luke, just keep walking." Alice flipped the hair out of her face by shifting her head quickly, she then placed her hand on the swords hilt - It only made sense to be prepared if a defensive measure was needed.

"Do you have family? Tell me about yourself... I'm interested to know more about you - It may offer insight as to why you helped me." Alice looked down at him and smiled, her attempt to change the subject. Still disappointed in what she wanted him too do - she needed to rest badly, Alice is running off her faith now. Not literally, but that's the only thing keeping her from just passing out.

Luke sighed irately. "Look, Angel, I'm not a kid, I can handle myself you know," he said wryly. "I could go grab the little robot or something...?" He glanced at her when she asked about his family, understanding the change of subject.
"I don't really know what's going on with my family right now," he said with a shrug, shoving his hands into his pockets. "I haven't seen them in 5 years." he probably had, on a street or something, but it had been so long that he didn't recognize them. "I moved out when I was 14. The whole family vibe wasn't exactly my thing." He looked at the ground, kicking at a rock. "There really isn't much to me." he hesitated there- did he want to tell her about all the trouble he liked to cause? She was an Angel, right? A lw enforcer. She would turn against him faster then you could say Alamo. So he just shrugged again

Claire backed away until she couldn't see them anymore, then turned and ran. No doubt Claudia had seen that fiasco, no way could she expect Claire to be able to fight them...
There was a sharp knife of pain in her skull, and without a sound she dropped to her knees. She closed her eyes against the tears that sprung up, used to this sensation. She knew that back at the Labs, Claudia had sent a scrambling signal, to punish Claire. She did it often enough that Claire knew to just sit down and wait for it to pass.
[[Claudia really hates Claire ]]

"Well Luke, running into battle with an Angel was brave - but stupid - you could have been killed." Alice looked down at him and ruffled his hair, making it messy like her father use to. "I know what if feels like to want to get involved - but sometimes It is better to stand on the side lines." Alice held back her laughter, solid advice indeed - but advice she never acknowledge herself.
"We will just leave the steel demon - no doubt it will report on us. We will stay here for the night," Alice pointed at a pile of rubble. "While reinforcements would be nice, we can not let this area be unguarded due to recent activities.

"Why did you give up on your family Luke?" Alice grabbed his arm and sat him down where they would set up home base. "Did something bad happen?" Alice pulled out her communication device - but it had been ruined by the oil and blood. Scouts would come for her eventually.

"Not much to you?" Alice took a seat by Lucas, wings un-folding once more to provide him shelter from the wind - and cover from enemies. It would also give them a little element of surprise. "You seem like an interesting person." Alice looked over at him - he would tell her when he was ready. Until then she would keep him here - he had chosen to get involved, and now he will get what he desired.

Casius bounded up the hill, running low to the ground and seemingly in such a rush that he occasionally used his right hand, which wasn't holding the blade, to push himself even faster. When he reached the top he stood, and a wave of smoke hit his face. It smelled heavily of burnt flesh and molten metal. He had heard of the battle underground and quickly gone to investigate himself. He now discovered he was too late. The blood was fresh on the fallen bodies and he had a feeling the victor was still close. Dropping into a cat-like stance, he began weaving in and out of the wreckage, his eyes and ears on high alert. He finally came across a cyborg that had not been burned to death but instead, sliced completely in two. His red eyes narrows and he drew his finger across the clean cut before bringing it to his lips and licking it.

"An Angel's blade," he hissed, almost bristling at the very thought. Then he heard voices, and through the smoke he saw, walking, an Angel and a boy, no doubt the very workers of this evil. He pressed his body to the charred earth, hiding amoungst the carnage and wreckage as they moved. The Angel seemed to pause before spreading her wings, and his gaze wandered behind her to where he saw movement, no doubt a survivor. He had no room to leave now, and discover who it was, or move for that matter, for the two Religious drew closer before sitting down but were still far from stepping on him. Regardless, he grew uneasy and stopped all voluntary movement of his body, taking small, shallow, silent breaths as he waited.

Luke shrugged again, allowing himself to be tugged down onto the pile of rocks. "Me and my family never really got along," he said with a shrug. "Its no big deal, me leaving was for the best." He didn't raelly believe that, but he honestly didn't care. He really didn't like his family anyways.
"Me, interesting?" he snorted, shaking his head. He leaned back against the rocks and stared up at the sky, a weird feeling nagging at the edge of his conscience.

Claire curled up on the ground, waiting for the throbbing to subside with an almost odd patience. She could hear someone moving in- she accessed her internal HUD and tried to figure out who it was. The image was staticky from the scrambling, but it had subsided enough for her to know that one of the Hydra was down there with the Angel and the boy.

"So you abandoned your family?" Alice stood up and flapped her wings a few times, generating a gust of wind. She could not help but feel she was being watched again - she felt that very often today. "I'm going to go and see if any of these metal monsters have anything useful on them." Realistically Alice just wanted to see if she could spot who had been watching them she new in the day no foe had a chance to defeat her, the Hydra's were her only real threat - and during the day they did not function as well as they normally did. Alice drew her sword from her sheathe and raised her sword in the air, bringing it by her face before holding it battle ready at her side. "I did a good job on these demons..." Alice smiled to herself. Walking up and down the carnage she thought she saw another demon on the ground, with no cut marks. Those red eyes. "Luke!" Alice screamed as she jumped back towards his direction, using her wings for a boost, "Get out of here - Hydra!" Alice hoped her quick words would be enough to convey her message.

She prepared herself to slay the beast, but paused. "Hydra are not dumb - if you leave you get to leave alive." Alice smiled, worst come to worse she would slay the demon and purify his soul later. "So go, just get out of here." Alice took a few steps back, closer to Luke. "Go on - get out of here demon - and I best not hear a word from you."

Upon seeing he had been spotted, Casius rose just an inch or so and hissed, baring his white teeth at the Angel. He knew he wasn't as powerful out here in the light but that mattered not to him. He could take her, and the boy if he had to. His eyes never left them and he slowly pressed his little, unimpressive dagger to his wrist, but did not swipe. As insignificant as this weapon seemed, it was so sharp that merely pressing it to his skin drew a bead of blood, which crystalized almost instantly and clung to the metal.

"You have no authority over me, you flying plague rat," he growled low, his shining red eyes glaring at her from behind his curtain of black hair. He was obviously angered but not out of control. "Don't be so sure you're ego alone can help you fight me." He stood up fully now, challenging her. He was built for battle, so running away from one wasn't really an option for him. In fact, he seemed to encourage fights, often egging his opponents on to the point of rage with meerly words alone. Once they made the first move, however, the day was his. But now he was pushing his luck, not being in his own, sunless domain.

Luke hissed at the Hydra, springing up. He backed away, but was hesitant to leave- he knew he should, but his brain was screaming at him to kill the Hydra. You know you can't take him, he told himself, backing up more.

Claire sighed and sat up, getting another message from Claudia. "Go help Cassius, do this, do that," Claire grumbled softly, standing up. Her head didn't hurt anymore, the scrambling effects of the message finally completed. She began back, keeping her body low to the ground, bringing up her internal hud.
"Cassius, I'm on my way to help," she said over the COM channel. Unless the code was intercepted (and she highly doubted it would be) Cassius would hear the message as a sort of mental whisper.

Alice smiled, "One less Hydra would be a great advantage to punch through your defenses - even a small loss can mean a lot to our morale." The steel beast had long black hair, and tried to moved without being noticed - but Alice's eyes were not fooled. "Luke - I will fight the Hydra if he wishes to die. Stick around in case their are reinforcements. Ours will arrive shortly." Alice smiled at the Hydra. She knew what troops would be included in the scout party.

Standing up straight she grasped her soul cylinder. "My ego has nothing to with it Iron Demon. It is my faith that informs me your death will bring me victory. And to fight in the light? Your dumber then I thought Demon." Alice spun her blade quickly and pointed it at him - "If your built to kill, come and get me."

Anastasia, or Ana as she prefered, had been sent out on a mission, but what that mission was she didn't quite remember anymore. She had become much less of what they had made her and more of who she was before. The mental orders still came though but she no longer felt her body snapping to when they came. The white haired, white gowned girl was busy making her way through a new city. She had fled her last one in hopes that the scientists would leave her be. So far though, they still had contact with her, they still knew where she was, and she knew she wasn't safe.

The sun was out, she could tell that much seeing as she was a hydra. It wasn't something she would have wished upon herself, but when her father left when she was young she really had no other future. Yet at the same time, this fate seemed to make her feel closer to him. One day she had found a necklace with a black and red yin-yang charm on it; she had been wearing it ever sense.

She kept her head down, using the hood to her white cloak to keep her red eyes from being spotted. That was the downside to what she was; people automatically assumed she was going to kill them and feast on them just because of that. That wasn't the case though, at least not for her, as often. The design on the bottom part of her cloak were light blue and gold designs that almost looked like waves; it was something that brought her a form of peace; something that pushed her to finding safety.

Her white boots padded against the ground softly and then she felt something. Ducking behind a building she listened; there was a voice. "Hello to those who do not believe in his grace, which is god. I am here to tell you that as long as I draw breathe from gods green earth shall I fight you. I will execute gods will amongst your people - and that is redemption - I will bring forth a redemption to cleanse your souls. You will be save, for you are all children of god", it had said and immediately the girl was interested.

Coming around the corner she saw what she feared most at that point; wings. Her red eyes widened slightly as her breath caught in her throat. No way would an angel be willing to help a hydra in anyway other than killing them. Worrying her lower lip the girl finally decided to follow. After all, she said that she would be safe. Her footfalls quickened though she travelled in a bee-line to keep out of sight and hopefully remain unnoticed by the angel.

In the distance she could hear figthing going on. This caused Anastasia to quicken her pace slightly. By the time she could see, countless cyborgs had been slain and from the distance she knew that Casius was out there. With him there, the other hydra figured it would be best to keep her distance. She stopped and watched knowing she couldn't run, not if orders were given at this point.

Her hands were gripping the inside of her cloak as she pulled it closed even further. Her eyes were on the angel on her fellow hyrda; she had no idea what to do though she knew what her orders would be soon. On the one side was the angel, their supposed enemy, but a person who offered so much. On the other hand was a hydra, someone like her, someone she could depend on. Yet all at the same time, in the present, at that very moment a dark haired boy and backed into her. With her attention elsewhere, Anastasia fell onto her backside; it wasn't something to worry her abilities about. "Ow," she mummbled to herself as her face was being blocked by the hood.

Alice smiled and stood up straight, but not sheathing her sword. She heard in the distance what she was waiting for. The sound of two Angels in the distance flying this way. It had probably been two of Alice's friends - but she would not complain, she had this battle in the bag. Three angels was much more then enough to handle a wrenched Hydra during they day. The sound of their wings closed in - they were maybe thirty seconds away.

"You better run demon - you did not accept my offer before, but I offer it once more, escape now or you will be killed. Your soul will still be saved mind you, but your journey will end here." Alice smiled and raised her sword, "In the name of God, those who do not seek redemption will be defeated!" Alice yelled loud enough for her two allies to hear, for they drew their blades as well. "So go demon, and you best make it fast."

Casius tilted his head. "Do not threaten me," he said flatly. He slit his arm and spread out the blood that spewed in a long arch. It froze midair and he was now wielding a large, red sword. "You talk as though you are certain I will take that offer. I have no intention of leaving. And even if I should be defeated, I promise your victory will be more painful than my loss." He twirled the sword lightly between his fingers and then heard the message from Claire. "Excellent, now we just need one more Angel and it'll be a fair fight." He smirked at his own joke. One dark, slender eyebrow raise at the winged girl's proclamation. Rather loud, wasn't she? He took this as a sign that her fighting style was very flashy, and already began thinking of a way to counter it.
