Jack raced down the streets of the gaint city known as Toyoden. Up ahead the stars shown brightly along with the half moon. He wasn't sure exactly was was after him, but he really reallly had no plans on stopping now. Thankfully he had gotten used to running for his life over the years. He clenched his eyes tightly and sped up. He entered the park where the street lights flickered and the small childs playground creaked with rust as a small wind blew the swings. Jack opened his eyes and looked behind him, terrified, and out of breath. He was sure he wasn't going to last much longer on his own.

Running though the old rusted swings, he turned glancing frantically around. He could hear nothing but his heavy breathing; even the rusted metal of the swings being blown by the wind had stopped. This eerie silence only further unsettled his already shot nerves. Then he seen it: low to the ground, the creature's bulky frame which could easily tower over Jack prowled through the shadows to step onto the wet grass of the park. Letting out a low growl the creature teetered back in position to kill.

A surprized shock ran through Jack's system as he realized exactly what the beast was about to do. He stumbled backwards as soon as it pounced. Jack kicked the swing forward, hitting the beast right underneith the jaw. It flew to the side of jack, and easily caught it's footing. Jack cursed in his head and ran back through the swing set. The creatures constant deep low growl made his nerves haywire with it being so up close and personal.

Jack turned on his heels to run back toward the street but with a surprised gasp he lost his footing in the dew covered grass and rolled over. He hadnt noticed he closed his eyes from the impact of the fall but they shot open when a loud screech echoed above him. Jack looked up into the hideous face of the creature hovering above him; analyzing him. It's head consisting of a cracked skull which had jagged protruding teeth (were they teeth? Jack could have easily considered them razors). The creature issued another screech, this one out of victory. Jack was about to die. His eye's once again clenched shut. Instead of either the sweet taste of death or the stinging pain of a wound he heard a loud thump . Slowly opening his eyes he seen the creature's face beside his head, the red light in its eye sockets now gone.

"What the hell the hell was that thing?" Jack's head snapped up to where the voice came from behind him. A young male with strange spiky whit hair clad in back stood before him. "You ok, kid?" The stranger kneeled beside Jack.

Jack stared at young man with a terrified look on his face. He started to inch away, with his eyes quickly scanning Houshiro, unaware of what to think. He gulped down his lack of air, and nodded at the figure before him. He quickly looked back and forth between the young man and the beast. He opened up his mouth to say something, but after realizing that he had no clue on what to say he, he closed his mouth. Jack shakily stood up. "W-who.....w-what?" He took a step back.

"My name is Houshiro." He looked back at the heap that was the creature and slowly shook his head. "What is this thing...and apparently you dont know either." Houshiro looked back over at where Jack was now getting off the ground. "I dont think we should stick around here. Who knows if there more of these bastards lurking around here..." Jack slowly nodded, not knowing whether he should follow the white haired boy or run away in the opposite direction in a futile attempt to leave all the memories of this night behind him. Houshiro turned back around, noticing the purple haired boy wasnt behind him.

"You coming..err...what's your name again...?"

Jack placed a hand up to his scarf in hesitation. Jack closed his eyes and shook his head slightly, as if to drive away unwanted thoughts. If this Houshiro person was going to hurt him, he would have done it by now, and maybe it would save him the trouble of running into his brother tonight. He strided over to Houshiro to catch up, and once he was beside him he quietly said, "Jack."

Houshiro analyzed the shorter teen. Obviously he wasnt much for talking. Too soon to know though. " Come on. I'm not really sure where we should go but we need to get some ground from here." Maybe if we head up to the east side of town...there's lots of tall buildings around the clock tower. I know there has to be more of those things." Houshiro spat the last word. "there's no way just one of those could have taken out all of..." He trailed off.

Jack looked at Houshiro curiously as they ran down the road.

Houshiro glanced over at Jack and saw Jack's expectant look. He continued with his story. "See I'm a part of resistance group against vampire's. We go hunting for them very often, so as to preserve the human race."

"Vampires?" Jack questioned while rethinking everything.

"Yeah, you believe in them don't you?" Houshiro asked.

Jack shrugged while shaking his head slightly. After all he didn't know much about vampires, much less be able to make the decision of if they were real or not. Jack rubbed the back of his head.

"Heh. So at least it looks like you believe me. Because I dont really think we have time for me to sit down and convince you." Houshiro snorted. "Anyways...Since you seen that thing too I guess you have the right to know something about what's going on. " The sound of their shoes echoed around the dark allyway they were running through. Houshiro could see his breath as he exhaled. "Well vampires exist and they live in our world like everyday people. It's only at night you actually have to worry about them. That's when they usually..you know...feed. Well I was in a little group of people. We have all had troubled pasts with vampires in our small gang." Houshiro winced. "But I was on patrol alone a couple street from where I saved you and I ran into my gang. My friends...they were torn apart. I'm not sure right now what's going on with that thing that was after you, but now I'm the only one in this damn city who has a clue about anything! Damn it!" Shiro groaned in frustration. "Well...besides you, heh."

Jack looked at the ground as he ran, digesting this information.

Jack could feel his heart starting to ache with pain. His sensitive ears picked up the familiar growling sound that he had heard from the beast at the park. He looked up and slid to a halt. "What is it?" Houshiro asked before stopping as well. "Over there," Jack nodded to the direction infront of them. With the flash of a street light two beasts had them barricaded in front. The growls multiplied ten fold as Houshiro and Jack quickly became surrounded.

"Wonderful." Houshiro narrowed his eyes. " Alright, Jack. Looks like we're surrounded. Just stand back and if we're lucky--" Suddenly a familiar screech peirced their ears and Houshiro swiftly turned around while pulling out the twin blade on his right hip out. The sound of clashing metal and razor-like bone echoed before Shiro quickly pulled out the twin blade to his left and slashed diagonally across where the creature's head was moments before. While the creature jumped back, Houshiro squatted down into a defensive stance but as soon a the creature regained it's footing it's head suddenly exploded from the force of a large sword which cleanly stuck into the brick wall of the building.

Houshiro gasped "What was that--" He turned back to Jack. All the remaining creatures roared in rage as Jack and Houshiro looked to the rooftop of the building that was behind them.

Only a dark shilotte of a figure could be seen ontop the rooftop. The two had no time to waste or figure out who i was because all the beasts started to attack at once. Jack quickly kicked one in the side of the head that was coming from behind about to attack Houshiro. He didn't have a weapon on him to help killl the beasts, but the least he could do was watch Houshiro's back

Three shadowed figures now looked over at the scene playing out before them. Their black cloaks blew in the light breeze of night night as they watched.

"Shouldnt we he--"

"Just wait." The larger cloaked figure was silenced by a firm feminine voice.

Down below Houshiro swung one of his blades right over Jacks shoulder at a beast, cutting straight through what could have once been a neck before it could attack while Jack quickly jumped back and swung his fist at another creature that had come up to them.

The third hooded figure let out a soft chuckle. "I'll be damned...they're not dead."

The second smaller figure crossed her arms. "Indeed.."

The two kept going in circles watching each other's backs and quickly finished off the rest of the beasts. It seemed to be fairly too easy. Once looking around to make sure that was the last of them Jack looked back up to rooftop. "Do you think.....they had something to do with this?" He asked Houshiro while voicing a small thought.

Houshiro looked back up to the rooftop where the dark figures still stood. His eyes narrowed. They were analyzing them. "I dont know."

Suddenly the smallest figure jumped down off the rooftop and landed nimbly on their feet, the other two following suit. Now that the cloaked figures were closer it was easy to distinguish that the smallest one was female. Houshiro and Jack both unconsciously tensed as the figures walked over to where they were planted. One of the larger hooded figures finally spoke as they came closer. "Who are you?"

"We could ask you the same question." Houshiro growled. The cloaked female walked past Jack and pulled the large, forgotten wide-blade sword out of the building behind them.

"I suppose you can." The hooded female said without turning around, "But first. What do you know about those creatures...or any for that matter." She turned around after asking the double-sided question.

Jack kept his eyes on the gaint sword. He really didn't want to piss them off and end up chopped completely in half. "O-other....creature?...like a vampire?" Jack said quietly while sticking close to Houshiro. A small chilling breeze sweep past them all.

The female chuckled. "Indeed." And with that she turned around and pulled back her hood. "I'm Freya."

Houshiro blinked. "Pink." He snorted holding in laughter causing Freya to grind her teeth and punch him over the head. "Gotta problem with it, WHITEY?"

Shiro whimpered. "Not at all...heehee..heh. You dont either, right Jack?"

Jack held up his hands and shook his head. "N-not at all!" He said as convincingly as he could. "so...uh....W-what...do you know?...about the creatures, Freya?" He said quietly as he could.

Freya blew a strand of her pink hair out of her eyes in frustration. "Nothing. I was actually hoping you would know something. This is the 2nd time we've seen these strange creatures. And the first time was only a couple nights ago."

Houshiro furrowed is eyebrows in confusion. "Wait...so you do know about the vampires then."

"Yes. I'm the co-leader of the underground resistance from them." She smirked.


(Should we name the organization? xD)

Jack looked back and forth between Shiro and Freya. Freya started walking off and the two followed her. "Shouldn't you two already know each other?" Jack questioned quietly. Maybe it was a different organization for both of them. It was't long before they had ended up going down the stairs to an abandoned subway station.

A simultaneous "Nope" echoed from the two of them.

"Anyways...I forgot to introduce them earlier-they were sent off now in case you havent notice the other two guys in cloaks left, The one with red hair is Reno and the bald one is Rud. Reno is an idiot. Please keep that in mind before you confront him." Freya sweat dropped.

Suddenly, after a good 10 minutes of walking they stopped. Freya turned to the seemingly ordinary brick wall and pulled out a dark russet colored brick. There behind where the brick sat was a black screen which she stuck her thumb on.

Out of nowhere it almost seemed as though 7 feet of the wall had disappeared.

"Welcome to base, boys."

Jack had wondered what kind of organization they were running for two members to not at least know each other or have some kind of uniform or calling card to tell if they were on the same side or not.

What the wall had opened up to reveil had certainly been surprizing. The white tiled floors had been buffered so clean you could see your reflection upon them. It was rather strange to go from a rundown subway to a seemingly clean and pristinely high tech base.

(Sorry it took a few days, I wasn't sure if you was all settled down and ready to rp for realz or not. So When are we gong to do the other side of the story characters again? Me and my memory needs to write stuff down, specially when i'm curculating through stories using the same character >>;; )
