Introduction

After the first Makai Tournament, Enki declared that the Kakai barrier would be torn down and demons would be able to cross over into the ningenkai world. However, King Enki also declared that no ningens were to be harmed by any youkai. However not all youkai were pleased with this decision and some chaos ensued. Demons were rebelling against the control of King Enki and when King Enma was suddenly killed, Prince Koenma gained the throne. More chaos ensued and the newly instated King Koenma reinstated the Rekai Tantei including demons Hiei, Kurama, Jin and Touya. Yusuke and Botan having mysterily vanished a few weeks prior to the reinstatement. King Koenma made do with what he could find. They started fighting for peace in the ningenkai once more. This is where our story begins, new demons and challenges will be met. New fights will take place and perhaps a few romanctic subplots. It will certainly be interesting.

Character Charts

Ikuyo: Wings of Writing

Age: Appears 18-19, demon: 200
Species: water demon (“The Water Master”)
Primary Weapon: water whip. The hilt of the whip is a piece of wood that she carries with her in a belt.
Secondary Weapons: Basic water manipulation and can be pretty fair at hand to hand combat, though she prefers mid-range attacks for that is where her true power lies.
Appearance: Ikuyo has a bit longer than shoulder length aqua blue hair, it always appears to be shifting and changing, like waves on an ocean and tends to flow around her. When she Is fighting and using her water techniques It lengthens to be about mid-waist length and seems to be made purely of water. Her eyes are a glowing blue, like the deepest Caribbean ocean on a bright day. It has been said, her prey often become trapped in the depths of her eyes just before she slaughters them. Ikuyo is tall and regal, extremely lithe, she has the appearance of one who is used to fighting. Afterall, she’s been fighting for most of her life. Kuyo wears a black shirt with sleeves that fall of her shoulders leaving them bare and forever looking tan. In fact her entire body is extremely tan. The shirt she wears stops above her navel. She also wears black leather tights over which she has a dark grey skirt and then strapped over that an assortment of belts. The skirt stops at mid thigh, the tights above the knee. On her feet she wears a pair of boots that rise up to mid calf, the boots are adorned with buckles. Kuyo wears only one piece of jewelry. A necklace that if seen from a distance looks like an Ice Maiden Tear, however on closer inspection it reveals itself to be a perfectly formed drop of water, that will never break. On her face Kuyo has black spiraling tattoos that seem to shimmer and glow various blues as she uses her demon energy. These tattoos wrap around her right eye.
Biography: Not much is known of Ikuyo’s past, especially her childhood. She spent time as a shinobi, earning the title of Water Master among their group, but Ikuyo had no patience for the shinobi way and found a way out before the Dark Tournament had begun. Kuyo is tought as nails, she’s a fighter but like all the shinobi she is searching for one thing. She’s looking for her light, her place to belong and that journey has brought her to ningenkai. She crossed over shortly after the Makai tournament, and has spent a few months roaming ningenkai looking for something. She hasn’t found it. Instead she has travelled around taking care of stray demons that seem to enjoy terrorizing ningens. She doesn’t like ningens, but she can’t stand to see creatures she deems as ‘helpless’ beat up.

Aoko: MelanieSkye

Age: appears 19-20, demon: 25
Species/Race (pretty much what type of demon): half ice apparition, half human
Primary Weapon: A wooden bow with ice arrows. Aoko always carries her bow around and creates her arrows from ice. They take a little while to create, though.
Secondary Weapon: A dagger she keeps strapped to her thigh. She can do hand-to-hand combat but is slightly pathetic and her ice powers other than the arrows are limited to cooling the air around her.
Appearance: She has silvery blue hair that reaches mid-back. It is naturally flat-iron straight. Her eyes are a dark gray. At 5'5'' Aoko is an average human height and is very slender and muscular from years of growing up in the Makai. She is a little bit more tan than the average ice apparition but is still somewhat pale. She wears a dark green slit up to the thigh dress. Underneath the dress she wears black leggings. When she wears her hair up, her blue spiraling dragon wing tattoo on the back of her neck is visible. For shoes she wears black sandals. On her right ear she wears an ear cuff that has chains that connect to the stud earring and on the other ear is just a stud.
Biography: Not much is known about Aoko, only that she grew up in the Makai and has recently moved to the Ningen-kai. She is from the same ice apparition clan as Touya, but she only knows of him and he may or may not know of her. Aoko's neutral on humans as her mother had given her up as a child.

Raime:Amaitae

Age: 152 (appears 22-23)
Species/Race (pretty much what type of demon): Animal Demon - wolflike
Primary Weapon: Reaver claws (look like this)
Secondary Weapon: teeth (nice, sharp, and strong)

-- Shaggy pink hair put in two fuzzy and wild pigtails
-- large green eyes with tattooed slashes over eyelids to cheeks

-- wears animal hides and leather for the most part. Short cami-style top with leather shorts.
-- has redish-brown wolf ears and tail. The ears are hidden under, ironically, a wolf ear fuzzy hat with long paws coming form the sides. Tail is concealed in baggy denim pants worn when in ningenkai.
Biography: Raime hails from a tribe of very animalistic demons. This heritage is heavily reflected in her savage fighting style. She left her tribe for a while and passed into ningenkai for currently unknown reasons. In general, not much is known about her at all since she rarely socialized with anyone outside of her demon tribe.

A laugh rang through the air as the fire demon fell to the ground, a cloud of dust raising around it. Ikuyo looked down at the demon and shook her head, "Such a weakling, you weren't even a challenge. Even little Touya could have frozen your ass." She chuckled again and sheathed the whip on her waist, and left the carcass of the demon to turn around and face the young girl that was cowering next to the office building, trying to use an insignificant shadow to hide in, "You do realize there is a parking garage that has a million hiding places and would have protected you from fire attacks. You are lucky that I was here to save you." Ikuyo shook her head and walked over to the girl, "You need to learn how to fight, though I guess judging by your ki you are half-ningen, can't expect too much." Ikuyo's hair was slowly returning back to it's normal length and began to look at least like somewhat normal hair. She leaned against the wall and looked down at the girl, "I'm Ikuyo by the way."

Aoko stands from her shadow, running her fingers through her ice blue hair. "Naturally, you would know then." She rearranges her bow on her back. "Nice to meet you."

Kurama paused while walking as he felt a large disturbance in the air. "...Something unexpected has happened." His eyes widened in caution. "I.... no longer feel the presence of our target!" he informed his team. 'Could this really be?' He ran ahead, knowing the rest of the demons would be quick to follow. When he reached the source of the disturbance, his sharp eyes were quick to find two female characters near the carcass of the demon he and his friends were sent after. "Well, seems we were not fast enough in our pursuit."

As Ikuyo leaned against the wall she felt the approaching energy of a large group of youkai and growled slightly. She carefully slid her whip handle out of it's holster, holding the piece of wood loosely in here hand but not activating her water power. That was always better used to surprise her victims with. She smirked when she felt the presence nearing and tried to stay in the shadow, however, she was quickly spotted by a girly looking red-haired youkai. Stepping out of the shadow she smirked slightly and said, "Have you come to help your dear deceased friend? I'm afraid your a bit too late and he was so easy to kill too. I'm sure you will be the same?"

She did not notice the ice apparition standing at the back group, standing at the back of the group his aquamarine eyes widening. Her eyes did land on a red-haired demon sporting a horn, and she raised her eyebrow slightly, but said nothing. So the shinobi have ventured out of the Makai, or at least our dear Wind Master has.

Touya leaned forward and whispered to Jin, "Isn't that?" he blinked, "Isnt't that Ikuyo, the water master to complete our elemental set? I thought she was supposed to be dead."

Kurama furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "Our friend?" he called out. "We were sent to hunt this nuisance, but it seems you had the same goal in mind. Who sent you? Why are you here?"

Aoko moves slowly into her shadow to stare at the crowd ahead. Four youkai whose demon energy is immense. Her head throbbed slightly and fear crawls up her spine. All four of their eyes seems to be trained on Ikuyo, so Aoko chooses this moment to try to sneak away.

Hiei notes the small silver-blue haired demon attempting to make an escape. "And where are you going?" He smirks and references the Reikai Tantei. "One stays and the other runs? Did you kill your teammate and now run like a coward?"

Aoko halts immediately and stares at the black haired demon. Fear mutes her speech.

Jin looked closely at the two demons they'd run into. He turned to Touya and said, "Woah, so it is! What's Ikuyo doing here?" He eyed the other demon that was trying to escape. This was interesting for sure.

Ikuyo laughed, "No one sent me." she chuckled, "I work for myself and this guy just happened to get in my way, I advise you to not do the same." Ikuyo casually flicked her wrist and as she did so water swirled around her and formed into a flowing moving whip of water, she smirked confidently.

Touya fought the need to roll his eyes, keeping his face in it's trademark scowl, "Same old, Ikuyo" he muttered to Jin before turning to say to Hiei and Kurama, "We know her, she's an ex-shinobi. She should be dead."

Ikuyo smirked, "Well I guess the cats out of the bag, Jin, Touya," she waved sweetly, "I've missed you so." she added sarcastically, "Still working for those bitch shinobi?" she scoffed, "or do you have a new master now?"

Aoko groans softly. Obviously, they were too observant for her to sneak away. As she steps out of her shadow, Ikuyo's hair begins to resemble water again. She did not want to get involved in a battle with high-level demons. Aoko sneaks a glance at her 'saviour'. Is she really going to attack them?

Kurama analyzed the situation, trying to determine if it was wise to enter battle Ikuyo. 'The odds are against her,' he reasoned, 'She MUST sense that she's fighting a loosing battle... then why do this? Is she even thinking or is she that arrogant?' Ikuyo suddenly reminded him of an old friend. So cocky and always itching for a fight. He carefully slid a single rose out from the strands of his long hair, attempting to hide it from his opponents. "Hiei... what do you think? Do we fight?" he asked, knowing what the answer was most likely going to be.

Hiei smirks, "Yes." His hand slides to the handle of his sword.

Ikuyo looked over at them and smirked, letting the hand that was holding her whip drop to her waist, sending the constantly moving water to flow around her feet. She shook her head, her hair flowing around her as well. "Well are we gonna fight or not? I do prefer an honorable fight, so that would not be two against one, but one on one." She looked between Hiei and Kurama, "So which will be my opponent?" She cast a look over at Aoko, "That little one is worth none of our time, so it will have to be a one on one fight."

"I will." Soon as the words leave his mouth, Hiei leaps towards the youkai, sword in hand.

Ikuyo took a step back, the little guy was fast. She looked around trying to spot him but fond herself unable to do so. Thinking fast she twirled her whip around her in a circle creating a swirling typhon of water around her that appeared to be impenetrable but if one looked closely they could see that it was really just the whip moving fast enough that it appeared to be one solid piece.

Kurama was impressed by the girl's most interesting whip. He carefully studied her, making sure to take in every single detail of her fighting strategy and committed them to memory. He did this out of habit; his trust in Hiei's skill did not warrant any suspicion of Kurama having to fight the youkai girl next.

Hiei watches the youkai twirl her whip around. On the surface, it is supposed to look like she's surrounded by water, but Hiei could easily see it was only her whip. Sword in hand he leaps toward her, striking at her stomach.

Ikuyo could tell from the other youkai's movements he wasn't fooled by her trick, she smirked, 'then I'm fighting an A class demon' she thought. She managed to sidestep the blade in time to avoid a major wound, but the sword did scrape across her stomach leaving blood dripping her skin. She turned to look at the smaller man and frowned, "You move swifltly, shrimp" she said, seeming unphased by her wound.

Hiei's eyebrow twitches slightly - fighters who throw insults at each other annoy him. And she is not strong enough to act so over-confident. He speeds to Kurama, "I will convince her to stop fighting - there is no honor in killing a weak opponent."
He easily switches direction, heading back towards Ikuyo, and aims for her right hand - the hand holding the whip.

Seeing all the youkai involved in battle, Aoko decides now is the time to move. She takes off, her only hope is to get away. Maybe no one will notice.

Kurama watches the fight and notices the weaker demon trying to sneak away. 'Should I let her go?' He brandished his Rose Whip and snapped it around her wrist. He glowered at her a bit, as if to say "Where do you think you're going?" His grip was firm on the whip's handle.

Ikuyo glowered at Hiei, and flexed her wrist sending the water whip flying at the small demon, aiming to wrap it around his sword and disarm him, before the whip could even make contact though the piece of wood was knocked from her hand and the water dissipated, the handle clacking to the ground uselessly. She looked down at the little demon and blinked, "how did you get there?" she asked, shocked and surprised.

Touya looked at the little girl, who know had the whip wrapped around her wrist, "I wouldn't move if I were you, that whip can easily take off your hand."

Kurama maintained his concentration, but smiled at Touya's advice. "Touya's right. Those barbs can cut through anything. I recommend you don't test it."
