History: Born to the family of Sohma Satori was always treated very well. When she was born they knew her to be the god. She was blessed. Unfortunitly she should die by the time she reaches her 30th birthday as predicted by a seer. The other zodiac members take care of her trying to keep her safe and alive. Her illnesses tend to get rather horrible. Anything that is deadly is something she can catch. She never knew her true parents. The people who raised her were simply her fellow zodiac members. As she is still rather young they must keep an eye on her while also obeying her rules. She is unable to attend school or get a job as she is in charge of the entire family and has a lot of responsibilitys. Also she gets sick to easily. You will rarely find her outside of her chambers or her sitting room where she holds the family meetings.

History: When Keeno was born his parents were quite shocked, especially when his mother embraced her baby and he became a rather small seahorse, they knew then that the woman had given birth to one of the Zodiac. This had caused mixed issues among his parents. His mother grew to be overly protective of him, especially when his more distant father chose to leave, feeling that his wife had failed him in giving him a normal son and one he could be proud of. Keeno knew though that his mother’s over protectiveness was merely because she felt that if she wasn’t he would leave her too.
This of course made his conversing with the other zodiac members rather difficult, as his mother didn’t want him to be away from her for too long. This of course caused him to dislike clingy people. He had managed to convince his mother to allow him to attend high school and then college, although his class amount was limited. He also managed to get a small part time job at a pet store, even though his mother wishes for him to quit it so that he could be with her more. Usually after work and classes he usually would try and come by the main house to interact with a few of the members. He found himself closest to the Tiger, Ox and Snake.

History: On the day of Jia's birth her mother died. When her father had went to hold her, he found that the last gift his wife had gave him was quite special. He hadn't expected his baby girl to turn into a horse. This scared him more than anything. After that he refused to touch her as well as forbidding her brother to touch her. This made it hard for Jia to understand why it was important to show how you felt for a person with actions and not words. This left her unable to understand what the word love meant, there is no meaning to her of that word.Her father and brother let her be in charge of the house letting her run it including the finances. With her over them they prospered and grew. After letting Jia go to a all girls school her father felt she would be better with the other zodiac members. Both her brother and father felt it was unfair to keep her bond by their rules. Jia wasn't a normal girl she needed to be in a place where she could be herself. After some thought her father and brother brought Jia to join the other zodiac members. Her father took it hard having to let Jia go so she could be happy. Though Jia still keeps her eyes over the house and takes time to go see her father and brother. Jia at first didn't feel like she belonged with the others. Though when jia got her a job as a accountant at one of the shrines. She found where she belonged. [/COLOR]

She enjoys spending her time out in the fields with her flute playing enjoying nature, when she has time to. |

History: Haruka's mother was very protective of her when she was a child, but her father was disgusted by her transformations. He tried to kill her with a meat cleaver when she was four and he was locked in a mental institution where he was killed by another patient when Haruka was eight. She still bears the scars from his attack both mental and physical. As Haruka grew older, her angry outbursts became increasingly violent and her mother couldn't cope. She was turned over to the main household when she was nine. She stills sees her mother frequently but she doesn't live with her.

Other: She is perpetually late for everything when left to her own devices, because she gets horribly lost and doesn't like to admit it. It isn't unusual for her to go to school and disappear for days if nobody makes sure she makes it home. This is mostly because she gets lost in thought and wanders until she is lost in body, rather than because she doesn't know the way home. She likes gum, the chewing is soothing to her. She likes to wear clothes that match her distinctive hair which she let's hang in her face to hide her scars (click the pic of my avie and play with the equipped items to see her scars, plus her school uniform and some other clothes she might wear). She also tends to wear long sleeves or arm warmers to hide the scars on her arms. In her spare time she studies and practices Iaido (samurai swordsmanship) and Aikido (hand to hand) but she isn't involved in any school clubs because of her curse. She is not well liked in school because she is quiet, disfigured, and has weird hair and she has been known to beat the crap out of people for mentioning any of those traits in a disparaging manner. |

She makes sure that she does not know about her secret love for the cat.

Her favorite though is the cat. She treats him with the utmost respect. SHe respects the cat above all others. She was taught about the Sohma curse and after that began to attend school. She goes to a regular high school where she spends most of her time studying. She does not care about other guys and relationships as she wants to become a doctor.

History: When Leiko was born after her father had decided to leave the family. Her older brother, Midori hadn’t wanted to hold the new baby, so at first Leiko’s secret remained as such. During her time in the hospital she hadn’t come into contact with any males who made an attempt to hug her… her secret remained safe until she went home. Leiko’s mother had felt weak and asked Midori to get Leiko from the car. To his surprise when he hugged his little sister she turned into a gray rat. He almost dropped her, but remembered the story of their family that their mother had told him. When Midori brought Leiko into the house she screeched and told him to get rid of it. He tried to explain it was Leiko, but she didn’t want to hear that her daughter was a monster. The family urged the mother to take care of the rat until she could be taken care of by the other Sohmas. Leiko was taken away from her mother when she was three years old.
Midori still calls Leiko often staying close to his little sister while their mother has outright rejected her. She is very young for her age, being seventeen and a freshman in college {her birthday is towards the end of the year making her younger than most}. Leiko is not sure what type of profession she would like to pursue so she is just taking basic classes at school. She does not have to worry about paying for it because her father sent her enough money to pay for her schooling {once finding out it was of course his bloodline that allowed her to be cursed}. Leiko gets along quite well with the rabbit, cat, and ram… She gets along with the dog some of the time, but at times he really gets her aggravated.

Other: Leiko attends the same university as Keeno, the dragon. She thinks he is very attractive, but has no real nerve to actually strike up a conversation with the boy. Leiko speaks a little bit with him, and hopes she will eventually work up the nerve to speak with him more often.
Usually she wears a dress with some sort of punk like belt, boots, tights, and a scarf. Leiko really likes fruit and animals... not hawks or birds of prey though {they horrify her}. She dislikes her own temper, and chocolate.

The general had raised him up in the way of the military. The general always worried about peng because of the distrust he seemed to have toward women. Though he felt he couldn't blame him. He wouldn't know how to feel if his mother wouldn't have wanted him. Though the general was a little disappointed in peng when he told him his dream was to become a biologist instead of joining the military. Peng goes to one of the top charm schools. Thanks to his bright mind and determination to achieve his dream. Though he no longer lives with the general and his new wife. After the general got married to his new wife, one night at dinner his wife had made the mistake of touching peng. After being turned into a rooster that night peng stayed away from the generals new wife. Though the woman was a sweet as she could be she didn't try to chase him away. Peng moved out a week later, he went to join the other zodiac members. Peng stops by the general’s house once in a while to check in on the two though he keeps great distance from him and the general’s wife.Appearance: 
Other: Peng has a hard time around girls, due to his distrust of them. And a even harder time around those he likes. He can’t stand the way they make him feel or understand why he feels anything at all. When around them peng keeps his mouth shut and his head to the ground when he is around any that he likes, that way he can't say anything to make them mad at him. |

History: The irony of Rei's birth was that her parents were absolutely terrified of snakes. So it came as a surprise when they decided to keep her instead of disowning her. They raised her carefully, careful to keep from touching her too much and they tended to leave her alone in her room most of the time. They made her take dancing lessons because they found she was naturally good at things like that. And it kept her out of the house.
One day they got into an accident and she found herself an orphan. Rei didn't think much on it. Her parents were never around much for her to notice their absence. The only difference was that she was moved to the main Sohma compound. Once there she cut her hair short and stopped taking classic dance and ballet, picking up on b-boying instead (or would it be called b-girling? I refuse to call it "breakdancing"). She hasn't had much issues with schooling, attending a public school. Since she tended to keep to herself despite the rather envious looks the other girls kept shooting at her for whatever their reasons were, she was pretty much safe from anyone discovering her secret.
Compatible with oxen, dragons and roosters is what it says about the snake. Rei supposes that she can get along with them fine. As for the matter of the cat...Rei knows she's technically supposed to hate the cat...but she doesn't really. She has no reason to. In fact she feels he's just another misunderstood pawn in the game that everyone calls life.

History: Negi's father was a Sohma. He traveled quite a bit for his business and fell in love with a young hostess at a favorite tea house of his in Okinawa. When the relationship was discovered, Negi's father was forbidden to return to the island ever again. Soon after Negi was born to a dishonored mother and raised at the tea house by his mother and grandfather. It took no time at all for his mother and grandfather to discover his secret. She sent a letter by private courier to Negi's father and in secret he procured the sacred beads to keep Negi's beast in check. So, they schooled him at home and taught him to run the family business. His grandfather passed when Negi was 12 years old and his mother just 4 years later in a car accident. At 16 he was finished with his schooling and running the tea house on his own. A year later Negi's father confessed to the fact that his forbidden love had been with child and Negi was found and "requested" to move to the mainland where the Sohma could help "protect" his secret. Now in the city he's opened a new tea house that's become quite popular with a certain crowd.
