Kurama felt a bit of sympathy for the survivor. It was always hard losing friends and teammates. Still, the best thing they could do for her would be to catch the demon that killed her team. That meant find as much information as possible as quickly as possible. He was about to say something to that effect when Hiei spoke up.

"Just play the darn tape so we can get out of here." Hiei said snappishly. He wasn't likely to be disturbed by sounds of battle. He'd seen battle before he could talk. It took a lot to disturb him. However, the thought of a powerful demon killing people in the human world angered him. It didn't matter that he didn't like humans. Until his sentence was over he was sworn to protect them and Hiei took his honor very seriously. Not to mention, Yukina was in the human world and he had to keep her safe.

Yukina sat on the temple's porch and sipped a cup of tea contentedly. She wondered if Kuwabara was going to come by today. He often stopped by after his school day was over. It was also strange that she hadn't felt Hiei's presence yet today. She had often noticed the fire demon watching her from the trees around the temple, but he never tried to talk to her so she left him alone. She didn't mind him watching her, for some reason it made her feel safe.
