Aphrodite walked up to Lake Kerkini and sat in the sand. Her small body sunk right into the wet sand as she hugged her knees and stared into the waves. Her long red hair was flowing perfectly in the light wind that day. She drew a small heart in the sand and sighed at Greece, which was once a beautiful place, flowing with humans who hadn't known their secrets, now a run down stink-hole with very few people. She wondered what the others were doing, but she shrugged it off and stood up. She walked backwards down the beach and watched her footprints dissapear in the sand after just moments of her not standing on those grains. She walked back up to her small house and sat on the porch, staring off into the distance, thinking about how angry she was that there wasn't anyone else to interfere with the gods anymore, but now, they would probably communicate easily and more often without being afraid of a mortal hearing them.

Zues stood on the edge of a high cliff, over-looking a beautiful lake. He had his hands in his pocket, and his scarf whipped around as the Greek winds flowed passed him. His golden hair ruffled gently, moving along with the breeze. His matching colored eyes were sharp, and they concentrating at the girl who was several hundred feets below him. He watched her, as she got up from sitting on the sand, and backed away from the shore. She disappeared from his site as she walked right under the cliff.

A gust of wind suddenly rushed passed him, causing his hair to untidly cover his eyes.

Zues only smirked. Slowly, he lifted and arm, and pointed a finger down to the earth, to the beach.

A small bolt of lightning suddenly struck, directly at the spot where Aphrodite drew the small heart. A soft boom of thunder followed.

Aphrodite watched the lighting come down on the heart she had drawn from her porch, seeing that it was slightly odd, she walked down to the beach and ran her fingers over the heart that wasn't there anymore. She turned around to go back home when she saw Zeus on top of the cliff. "What are you doing up there?" she asked suspiciously. She climbed her way up the cliff and sat by him. "Hey." she whispered as she leaned back.

((Ooc: Well, since this is kind of modern-ish, we'll just pretend that everyone isn't technically blood related.))

Zues grinned. "Did I scare ya?" He sat down, on the edge of cliff.

"Eh. I've been traveling across Greek, keeping an eye on those other fools. Making sure that staying in the mortal world didn't change them...too much." He stared out into the sun, not even cringing from the bright light.

Aphrodite smiled a bit and nodded. "It looks like Apollo and Artemis have decided to let the sun set." she said quietly as she watched the last glimpse of the sun dissapear into darkness. She playfully nudged Zeus so he was closer to the edge of the cliff, almost falling off. She grabbed his arm just in case though. She giggled a little bit and let go of his arm after she was sure that he wasn't going to fall.

Zues chuckled, as Aphrodite let go of his arm. "I see you haven;t changed." He smiled at her. She was always so playful. He let out a long, tired, sigh. As the sun set, his skin gave off a dim, barely visible golden glow.

"How're you?" He finally asked, turning to her.

"Depressed...lonely...bored." Aphrodite said quietly as she scrunched over a little more. She sighed as the sea stopped moving, meaning Poseidon had gone to bed. She looked over at Zeus. "How are you since all the humans have died off?" she asked, remembering what things she had gone through with the mortals. She had actually been friends with some mortals, but they were gone now.

Zues smirked. "Actually, I'm glad that most of them are gone. They're nothing but trouble makers. Always resulting to violence, always trying to gain power." He shook his head.

But then, he sighed. "But with these humans gone, there's no one left to give us offerings. I can feel the power of the gods dying, little by little, every day."

Aphrodite sighed, then snapped her fingers and sat straight up. "I've got it! We could send a message to all of the gods that we're moving! We could all move somewhere else on earth! Perfect!" she said excitedly. She stood up and clapped her hands, resisting the urge to jump up and down. "What do you think?" she asked.

Artemis looked out at the sky holding up her hands to make the moon rise. This was her favorite time of day and she couldn't wait to start having fun.When the moon was in the middle of the sky she set off to explore the new world with less humans.Her long blond hair flowed behind her in the wind as she walked into the water of Lake Kerkini.

The water stopped moving.She leaned over and whispered,"Goodnight Poseidon." She then looked up and smiled as she saw the sky fill up with stars and the moon shining with radiance.

Aphrodite sighed and ruffled Zeus' hair playfully as she stood up. "Hey, thanks for the company, but I have a feeling you're going to make a storm, and it's dark, so I'm going to go home." she said nodding. She carefully walked down the edge of the cliff which Demeter had made into stairs for the other gods and the mortals. It was hard for her to see in the dark, so she bumped into someone. ((That's you Crimson!)) "Oh, uh, I'm sorry, are you okay? Did I hurt you?" she asked as she bit her lip.

hephaestus had been walking up the stairs to relax and watch the view of the moon while he tinkered with one of his new prototype guns he had been working on, when somone bumped into him. when she spoke he new it was aphrodite. "its okay" he said back to her "you didnt hurt me". he ried to see her in the dark but was unable to get a clear picure.

Aphrodite thought about manipulating him into love, but after the humans died off, she promised true love would be the only love that happened, but to her it didn't make sense, because she controlled love. 'Just until he leaves...' she thought. 'No, don't do it, it'll ruin your chances.' she said as she decided not to. "Oh, sorry. How have you been?" she asked him with a small tilt of her head and a warm smile that could light up the world.

hephaestus smiled back at her "ive been good, been keeping busy" he said as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. "how have you been?" he asked rather sincerely trying not to let her gorgeousness take the conversation somewhere it was not meant to go. he then made sure that his gun hadnt fallen out of his pocket when she had bumped into him.

Aphrodite sighed and watched him carefully. "I've been good, I miss some of the humans, but I'm doing pretty well. What are you looking for?" she asked as she watched him dig in his pockets and look on the ground. "Can I help?" she asked as she looked on the ground too.

hephaestus looked in some bushes but it wasnt there "yeah i am looking for a gun that i think i dropped, youll know its mine becuase of how unique it looks." he said as he checked his belt. and there it was attatched at the back of his belt. he sighed with relief. "found it" he said as he took it off of his belt and examined it. "it was on my belt" he said with another sigh and looked down at the ground. he looked back at aphrodite and said"srry for troubling yu to help look when all along it was on my belt" he looked down at the ground. he was rather forgetfull at times.

Aphrodite smiled and stood up, brushing the dirt off of her knees. "Oh no, it was no problem, I do things like that all the time, don't worry about it." she said nodding in assurance. She pulled her hair in front of her shoulders and twisted it for a few moments as an awkward silence hung in the air. "So...uh..." she said struggling to find something to say.

hepaestus held the gun up aiming it at a rock examined it then put it in his pocket. "so...um...yeah" he said awkwardly back to her kicking the ground. "...nice.. night out ...tonight" he said struggling to start up the conversation again. he reached in his pocket and acidentally set the gun off. it gave off a loud explosion, burning a hole in his pants and the fell through the hole onto the stairs. he just stared in disbelief as his pants burned a bit and went out.
