Hello everyone, welcome to my newly refurbished roleplay search thread. I have tried my best to improve this first post so that it doesn't scare anyone away. I would like to re-introduce myself to everyone, as I have not been active here in a while. I am Daemora, but if you want, you can call me Mora, seems to be that my new friends have been calling me that, and I don't mind.
I like to consider myself a fairly literate writer, this applies to my roleplays as well. I can manage to write posts with a length of at least 5-7 sentences, depending on what I'm given to work with. Therefore, I can manage a decent paragraph at least, even when I have writer's block. For the most part, though, I can sometimes manage three to four paragraphs for an introduction to the roleplay or to my character, and steadily the length will be decent enough to have a hopefully fast-paced roleplay, in general.
Since I have been absent before, and that absence lasted several months, I will be the kind of person who warns you if I am taking a vacation. Whether it be a simple vacation from the internet, or an actual vaction where I might not have internet access, I will warn you ahead of time, so you will know where I am... I don't like be hassled about posting all the time. I have a life, and I'm sure you do too, whether you think you have one or not. So, seeing as I would do you that kindness, I would appreciate the favor of you doing the same. Please do NOT leave me hanging.. If you get bored with our roleplay, let me know so we can BOTH drop it. Again, don't leave me hanging, it really gets on my nerves..
For any roleplay that involves romance, I will NOT have any cybering. Even if you suggest taking it to PM, I will NOT do that... I find it highly repulsive that anyone would even want to cyber in an avatar community like this. If you want to imply that something happened, ask my permission first, and then 'time skip' it... I don't want to have to read that stuff, even if I do read romance novels in rl. Other people wouldn't want to read it either...
Now, if I haven't scared you off yet, please allow me to apologize for the above rants. I've had these things happen before, and it really unnerves me that people thought I was that kinda girl... *shudders at the thought* Anyway, I am very nice, friendly and open to suggestions on all kinds of roleplays... Anything you have to offer, and I will consider it, so long as it doesn't have zombies... I just get really creeped out by zombies... xP
Ok, as for what I am interested in doing.
Hmmm...
Genre.
Fantasy - always a must in my opinion, even if only a touch of fantasy is included.
Action - something mysterious and actiony sounds kinda cool
Adventure - exploring ancient tunnels and cities, or even an abandoned warehouse...
Sci-fi - preferably something futuristic, that would be cool.
Romance - always a MUST, but a little bit, no 'love-at-first-sight' or cybering...
Comedy - it's always good to throw in a good joke here and there... ^ ^
Anime - D.N.Angel, Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto, and others that I can't think of right now.
no Horror, more or less, no Zombie rps.... I don't like zombies... they really freak me out..
Fan-Based, I will do, if I know the game/anime/show/book then I will. If not then I won't know what's going on, so it'll be out of the question. (A few things include Twilight, Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, Tales of the Abyss or Tales of Symphonia, and others I may have forgotten. Bascially mention something and if I know it, I may just accept.)
As for couple pairings. I'm up for just about anything. I'm not very accostomed to playing non-hetero pairings, so i would mostly prefer Hetero. But if you absolutely want to do malexmale or femalexfemale, then i may do it, if there is a good roleplay behind it. So long as you don't ask me to have the romance front and center in the plot, because I absolutely will NOT agree to that. Also, I am fairly used to playing either a male or female role, so I can work with you no matter what kind of character you want to play.

My Characters - These characters are still open, so feel free to continue requesting them if you want. New Characters and Plots - Feel free to have a look and ask if I'll use any specific character. I am currently looking for these kinds of roleplays: (these don't have to be one on one) Futuristic/Sci-fi/Fantasy - Something like Star Ocean III: Til the End of Time... but with a more original plot... somewhat.... Yu Yu Hakusho - with canon and original characters... plus a new plotline.... and preferably a year or two after the end of the series. So that would mean Yusuke would have to be either 19 or 20 years old, and still part demon... (preferably one on one.) Castlevania - Before you ask, yes I am craving something based on Castlevania. I just bought a new Castlevania game and it reminded me that I had wanted to roleplay something along the idea of fighting vampires, monsters, and even eventually, fighting Dracula to save the world from darkness.
You are my favorite person right now! I just posted in search of a post-apocalyptic role-play partner. This is what I posted:
-I’ve been in a post-apocalyptic mood for a setting. It’s not that I’m looking forward to the end of days or the year 2012 (for suspicious readers), I just find it grimly fascinating. That means:
-I'm thinking there was a massive nuclear war and now there's a nuclear winter.
-Also, mutated cannibalistic tribes would be an interesting thing to throw in.
-I’m okay with fantasy elements as long as they aren’t overdone, and I feel the same about technology. I prefer a certain amount of believability. In other words, fantasy elements would include the occasional street corner mystic, shady healer, and celestial beings with aliases. Technology wouldn’t go past retina scanners, super-speedy blenders, and remote guided bullets.
-I have a character named Mona who I would like to develop more. She is fresh out of the nest and searching for her place in my writing. I would describe her as someone who is feminine with an edge, lacks a sense of time, and snatches opportunity up with zeal and little planning.
Now, I’ll describe in brief how my role-playing mind works. I don’t like to write out a specific plot. I discuss an idea with someone to get started and keep in close touch with them throughout the role-play in order to keep our ideas organized and plot as we go.

Oh, absolutely, I like all of those ideas. I am currently in a post-apocalyptic type rp, but at the moment, my character is supposed to restore the world to what it was. I'm more looking forward to an rp that simply has a world with few survivors and no way to change anything, just simply surviving the chaotic world...
Also, I'm interested in this kind of roleplay for exactly the same reason. I don't necessarily want the world to end, nor do I like the idea of the world ending, but I'm curious and would wonder if it's possible for there to be an afterword, so that's why I want to do a roleplay of this kind.
Let's see, I already have an opening post with Mona living alone at her house that we could work off of, or I could start from a fresh slate if you don't want to start.
I do like character interaction, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary the entire time. In other words, if our characters don't meet for the first few posts, I'm okay with that. And if they need to be off on their own sometime during the role-play, I’m okay with that, too.
Well, that would be good. I don't think it would be necessary for our characters to know each other from the beginning. After all, it is post-apocalyptic. If so many people have died, it's quite possible that they don't know each other yet. I just want to figure out a good name for my character. I have a basic character design set, but I just want to give him a name.
Ok, I got a name for him, but we should really make a separate thread for this. Cuz I'm still looking for other roleplays if people are interested. And my character's name is Aidan.

I've been serchign forever to start a roleplay with someone new who is decent at writing :) I was thinking of a Prince/Princess paired with one of their bodyguards or servants or something. Something 'lesser' then them socially.
Oh, I absolutely love stories like that... In fact, my friend and I frequent writing stories like that... Though, when she writes it, it's yaoi... as for me, I'm up for it no matter what kind of pairing it is.... xD
Hmmm, kinda like my mom knows just when to start meddling with my life... *sighs* Anyway, I think I'd rather play a female character... My male characters tend to be too sensitive and a bit girly.... :sweat:
Well, technically I prefer middle ages setting for prince/princess kind of roleplaying, but it really doesn't matter to me what the time setting is. And yah, I think I would like for her to be a princess... though to me it really doesn't matter if she is a princess or a servant or whatever she is, as long as I can play a girl... :sweat:
Alright, so middle ages then. I can have my character be a guard that's traning to be one of her own body guards. So he's kind of on a trial run to protect her. Would you like to start the thread or shall I?
I can start it if you like. Do you have any ideas for titles? I'm usually alright with the introdcution and such but titles always throw me off. Also, do you want to do skeletons or would you rather start and just let the characters develop?
yeah, i can barely stay awake... i got home at 2:30 A!M! yesterday after working at my job... and I woke up at 8:30ish yesterday morning, so that was only 6 hours of sleep. Not to mention that I have to go to a baby shower tomorrow for my friend's sister... *sigh*
I'll get on sometime tomorrow during the day, before I have to go to the shower.
OK, now for some characters I managed to come up with... If anyone wants to RP with a certain character, let me know... and we can work out a plot... They're generally very open, except for the two guys... their story plots are basically written out... somewhat.... xP

Personality: Strong, determined, willful, stubborn to a fault, she doesn't give in easily. She is a kind and caring person to her people and those people that mean something to her. She can be very loving, but it takes a good long time before anyone can gain her trust. She's had her heart broken before and she stays strong and distant from others to avoid it happening again. History: Reyna is the crown princess of her country, Tel'Mara. She was practically raised by her 'nanny', the wet nurse who took care of her in the first few years of her life. Her mother doesn't care for her, having wanted to give birth to a son, rather than a daughter. Reyna does all she can for the people of her country, seeing to it that her father passes laws to help the people and keep them happy and at peace. Even when anything goes wrong, Reyna is always there to care for her people and see to their needs. (Not like that you pervs.)
Picture: Name: Feris Aren (Wild Eagle) Age: 2100 (therefore he looks only 21-22) Race: Light Elf Weapon(s): Bow & Arrow, plus a thin rapier style sword he uses for close-range combat. Power(s): he can communicate with nature (including all animals and plants) Personality: It's a mystery. You'd have to roleplay with this character to figure him out. History: Feris Aren is an elf of high reknown. Many people, human and elf alike, know of his reputation and all the things he's done in the past. In the war, he drove back many of the human forces and stopped them from taking over the Elven lands. He fought and defeated many of the greatest human warriors. Over time, his name became legend, and eventually he disappeared from the world. Many came to believe that he was nothing more than a story crafted by the Elves to keep humans from attempting to repeat the past. Feris himself knows the truth and as the humans prepare for one final battle against the elves, he hopes to find a way to end the fighting once and for all.

Personality: kind and caring, sweet, friendly, shy, quiet, clumsy, Nora has always been a good person and she is always trying to help people, even when they don't want it. History: Nora was a perfectly decen person when she was human, but she was killed in an accident when she tried to save two little kids from being run over by a car. Her death was never meant to happen, but it did, and she was deemed an angel for her deed of saving the little twin girls. After becoming an Angel, she was posted just outside the Gates of Paradise to watch the world, and should anyone need help, she was to go to them, as a Guardian, and see them through their time of trouble. Unfortunately, the last time she went down to Earth, she was never heard from again. She went to help someone, but they revealed her secret to the human government, and she was captured.

Personality: cold, distant, cruel, though he is kind to those who return the favor, he can be caring and decent, though he often finds himself in the presence of people who annoy him. He has a bit of a temper, especially when someone lies to him and tests his patience. History: In a world that hates and hunts down Dragons like they're useless, aggressive beasts, Izak lives in hiding, watching the humans. He is often there, trying to teach the humans about history, about the dragons, but usually no one listens to him. Over years, he was discovered and now he is currently being hunted. Being the last of your kind can be a burden, but he is strong enough to care for himself. Many brave and foolish warriors, adventurers, and mercenaries have met their end by his hand. It has gotten to the point where he now hates humans and all of humanity.
