I have to admit that I have lost all inspiration to post here after reading the most recent posts. I really don't want to offend anyone, but I find it really hard to roleplay with Gary Stus and Mary Sues. Which, for anyone who doesn't know, is someone who doesn't get hurt, or isn't affected by othe'rs powers, is not bound by the laws of their species, usually has a tragic past of some sort, is insanely beautiful, has super magical powers, and/or is not bound by the laws of physics or logic. I, for one, have never read a story about a vampire that had control over plants as part of being one of the undead, and I read constantly. Now, that I can pass off as maybe he had that power when he was human, but making a bed of seaweed/kelp to keep oneself out of the water is not feasible. Kelp is not a hard surface like rocks, it is plants. Plants bend under weight. Now, maybe if it was a giant floating bed of kelp, mixed in with boards from wrecked ships, it might work, but the force of being thrown would still get you at least a little wet. Furthermore, it is not possible to instantly have said kelp bed appear in between one instant and the next. It would take time to grow the plants, even at super accelerated speeds, and the plants themselves would be wet, being as they just grew out of the ocean. And most people would be too shocked to react instantaneously, vampire or no. Besides, when was it that regular water started hurting vampires? I thought only Holy Water could hurt them. What does he do, never bathe? I believe that the way you're having your character react is GODMODDING. Auto hits are Godmodding.

And I really hate to point this out, but you all are breaking the rules of the RP. OOC talk is to be kept in the OOC thread (THIS ONE!) and it is completely and utterly rude thing to do in any case.

I don't think I want to be a part of this RP anymore.... I, personally, am not having fun.

She put powers down, I thought it would be interesting, and YES there are many books and Manga where Vampires have other powers, but it's usually ONE power and he only has ONE power. Plants.
This is a fantasy/pirate RP, not a real life RP. This is a pirate RP loosely based off of one peice. Is one peice in ANY way bound by the laws of reality. NO.
And dont act like you're some expert on vampires as you obviously have not read much about them. It sounds like the most you've learned about vampires if from Buffy the vampire slayer or something. In many well known Legends vampires cannot cross moving water, this has been downgraded in many things to just having water hurt them. Look up either the videogame bloodrayne or the manga Rosario+Vampire.
And it's not like you've been this HUGE contributer to the RP. It's almost died a few times and where were you? You've posted ONCE. So get off your high horse. If you want to leave good riddance, it's not like we're losing much.

O.O Uuuuuuh... I feel that since I'm the creator of the RP I should say something stirring and invigroating in either agreement or disagreement to both of you, but to tell the truth, I'm out @[email protected]

I originally meant for the characters in this RP to be humans with powers, but having vampires and demons and stuff has made it better, in my opinion. They're more believable for having powers.

The godmodding thing is a bit hard to control... like, if a hit you take is known to be fatal, i.e. being pushed off a cliff and you have no flying ability, being stabbed in the neck, chest or stomach, etc. then I would deem the character dead or dying, and I wouldn't let them live unless they had a pretty good reason. I see godmodding as not giving a character a chance to get away from something and as them giving themselves all these insane powers that should be beyond their capability.

With chatting and commenting in the rp, if you read closer in previous posts I said that I'd allow chatting IF you had your character do at least one sentence, so that there was still a bit of story to it. I'll admit that we sometimes haven't done this, but people always slip a few times, right? It's only human.

If you want to leave, it's entirely up to you. I'm sorry that it's been a bit of a slow start, but since we got marooned and we needed to find a way out of it etc etc, we haven't been able to meet up your your own and other's characters for a while. That'll change as soon as we set sail, because I'm now planning to do a fast-forward until someone spots Florence, and then they'll go there and the rest of the characters will eventually meet. So maybe you'll be able to be in the story soon.

I hope that suffices for a wise RP-God speech xD;
