Premise of the role-play.

It is common knowledge that powers over the four primary elements are mere fiction.
We read about them, watch movies and shows about them, and draw pictures of people
controlling the elements. This kind of power has been debunked by scientists to be
implausible and a work of legends and myths. In the present future, that all changes.
A meteor from the Sirius Star Cluster brushes through Earth's upper atmosphere. As its
tail grows longer, the gases and particles from its surface disperses into the lower atmosphere.
Because of this, a mutation happens in the DNA of many humans. This mutation gives
them the ability to manipulate the four primary elements: air, earth, fire, and water.

Many that have been discovered to have this mutation are kept in laboratories to be
used in experiments. Those who were lucky enough to avoid being science projects became
outcasts in their schools, work places, homes, and countries. These special humans, called
Alberich, are socially divided into two groups: those who want to live alongside the uninfected
humans, and those who want revenge for the bad treatment they receive.
This split between them causes an internal conflict of the Alberich.

Humans of all ages and culture were affected by the meteor's passing. The oldest of the
Alberich learned how to control their mutation's power quicker than the younger generation.
The younger ones are still learning how to take charge of the ability,
and have formed groups under the tutelage of the older Alberich.

The real story starts with a group of teenagers, ages twelve to fifteen, who plan
an escape from a laboratory in China. These Alberich need to learn how to work together,
though they find it hard because they have clashing personalities. Outside of the laboratory,
the Alberich fighting against the uninfected are using the elements to break into the laboratory
and free those who are inside, and they plan on convincing them to join the upcoming war
between humans and Alberich. The benign Alberich are using more passive methods to reach them.

Guidelines of the role-play.

1. Follow Menewsha's rules.
2. No Alberich is able to control more than one element.
3. The youngest age allowed is twelve, and the oldest is fifty.
4. Age and Alberich to human ratios need to be even.
5. This role-play accepts hetero, bi, yaoi, and yuri couplings.
6. Romance and violence are accepted, but be considerate of Menwesha's rules.
7. Profiles are to be sent through private message to me, titled "The Alberich Strain".
8. Each post may not be shorter than two paragraphs.
9. One paragraph needs to have five to seven sentences.
10. This is a literate to advance literate role-play.

The name that I was given from my parents is Adelisa Stone, but I also go by Adele. I was born on May 13th, and am eighteen years old. Ever since I saw the meteor, I have experienced strange things; I am a(n) Choma Alberich.

Before the comet, I was on vacation with my brother, Ghislain. He decided it would be nice to take a trip to England to relieve some stress. Our parents recently died in a car crash. I noticed that he started drinking again when he heard the news, and I guess he recognized his problem. The same night that we watched the meteor shower, Ghislain fell ill. He would not leave the bathroom for anything. It worried me, because of his past; it could have been his drinking, but I didn't remember him drinking early during the day. Whatever he had, I began to feel sick, too. This worried me because when I get sick, I really get sick.

I was born the second and last child of Mrs. and Mr. Warren Stone. Beijing, China is my place of birth, but my family is American. All my life, I was a weak child. It has always been easy for me to get a fever from allergies or others. For a few years, my brotehr and I got along really well; he was very protective of me and did his best to make sure I wouldn't get sick. However, when he began hanging out with some people that made me uncomfortable, everything changed. He teased me and began staying out at odd hours of the night. As if having very few friends made anything better. Before I got into my first year of high school, I almost died from pneumonia.

Ghislain began taking care of me; it was him who took me to the hospital when I collapsed, and he watched over me while our parents were gone. Our parents were around for at least three or four days a week, but their jobs had them travel for weekends and a couple of days at a time. This gave Ghislain and I time to bond and regain our sibling relationship. Ever since I got sick the night of the meteor shower, I felt the need to return the favor of his love; however, I found myself miles from the cabin the day after the shower - I still don't recall how I got there. Without thinking much, I took a flight back to Beijing, and didn't tell Ghislain. Back in Beijing, I found two others who had been experiencing strange things, too. Then, less than a week later, I had my own room in a laboratory.

The name that I was given from my parents is Ghislain Stone, but I also go by Pyrros. I was born on August 22nd, and am twenty three years old. Ever since I saw the meteor, I have experienced strange things; I am a(n) Fortia Alberich.

Before the comet, I was on vacation with my sister, Adelisa. She and I had rented a cabin at a family campground in the English countryside. Our parents died one year ago, leaving us alone. If they were alive now, I do not think they would be happy with what has happened to us. Adelisa and I were on the front porch watching a meteor shower. That night was when I felt really sick. I was in the bathroom for the entire night. It was not until the morning after that the strangest thing happened to me. While I was outside chopping wood, the handle of the axe began to burn; I found out that my hands were generating their own heat, which resulted in the disintegration of the handle. Before I knew it, days and then weeks and then a couple of months passed. Adelisa went missing one night, and I have been searching for her. Now, I am getting a little too far ahead of myself - let me give you a little back story of my life.

I was born the first of two children to a Mrs. and Mr. Warren Stone. We lived in New York, New York for a couple of years. When I turned three, my parents moved the three of us to Beijing, China. It was during our stay there when Adelisa was born. She and I have been like peas and carrots since she was born. I will honestly say that I picked on her and was over-protective at times, but I do not regret any of it. When I was in my second year of high school, I spent a lot of time making fun of her and her friends. I would soon learn to regret it.

While in high school, I began drinking behind my parents' backs. I had a bit of an attitude, too. This and peer pressure is what led me to fight with my family at the slightest things. My grades began to drop, and by my senior year I was getting closer to expulsion. It was not until Adelisa got sick that I realized what was wrong with me. I still drink, especially when I get upset, and my short temper is coming back.
