Imagine a futuristic North America destroyed by earthquakes, hurricanes, and floods. Only the mainland would survive, and only survive on the little materials left from the devastation. The kids are now breadwinners, workers, or (if lucky), the ones who live in luxury, near the capitol of the remaining country that we now call “Panem.”

Eleven 12-18 year olds will die certainly in one year, and only because of one competition that forces them to fight against each other to survive. Only one can make it to the end, gaining lifelong honor, and food for their city and themselves. Only one will be able to see their families again.

This is the First Hunger Games. Thats why some of the elements are different.

Tributes Rules:
1. Follow the ToS of Menewsha.
2. No double posting. Edit or conbine is fine.

Game Maker Rules:
1. They are not Gods.
2. They do have the final say in a dispute.
3. Traps that they make can not kill Tributes.

Silver Boxs Rules:
1. All tributes get 3 boxes. Only!!!
2. Tributes will be able to request for things.
3. No weapons will be given in boxes. Lets stay Fair.
4. GM will distribute Boxes at Tributes request.
5. If you aim to high GM will distribute what is fair.

Death Rules:
1. If your character is to die in fighting, you must be okay with it.
2. No other player can kill your character off without your consent.
3. If your character is dead your last post must contain the Cannonfire.
4. GK has the right to dispute deaths. If you have any questions or comments about deaths pm Head GK.

I am Xero Cool. This story starts off right before the Arena. Yes i know i skipped alot but hey lets have fun. If you have not read the book dont worry its easy to get the hang of it. I have changed some of the elements of the story to make it more RP friendly. This is the OOC form so any thing you would like to see let me know. You can have up to two Tributes. When you get into the Arena please follow the few rules we have. The district's that are Unknown will stay that way for now. When i have more GM we might come up with district's chief industry for the Unknown. When you are acepted i will post your Tributes Bio with the training scores. Training scores are based on you Bio. I will put more info about the Game Play when we get players. After the first games we will have more. 14-16 RP will be in the first Hunger Games. 'When making a Tribute Keep this in mind:
The Hunger Games takes place in an unidentified future time period after the destruction of North America, in a nation known as Panem. Panem consists of a rich Capitol and twelve surrounding, poorer districts. As punishment for a previous rebellion against the Capitol, every year one boy or one girl from each district are selected and forced to participate in The Hunger Games, a televised event where the participants, or "tributes", must fight to the death in a dangerous outdoor arena until only one remains.

Also if you havnt read the book the District's are like little towns. Think as the lower you go in numbers the poorer they become. The District's are harsh places to live in its like there slaves. They do as they are told. If you have read the book great ^^ if you havnt try to pm me for more info if you dont get it.

~ Skyllar Ash Padrosa ~

Distrct11

History: Skyllar Ash Padrosa was born not so long ago, well to be exact; she was born 17 years ago. Her parents treated her like if she was a special kid, giving her any and everything even though they were not rich. she lived an okay life until the war. She was to young to even remember, so now all her thoughts go back to that day or days. She could remember the screaming, the crying and the swift end of distrct 13. People were being separated and so did she. Ever since that day, her parents disappeared from her. She lost them in the war.
A few years’ later, and elderly couple picked her up and took them to their home. They work as farmers and so then did Sky. Sky soon took on many names, adding Ash as her middle name and assuming Padrosa as her last name, many people call her Sky, Ash, or just Skyllar.
Ash’s personality changed as the times changed, farming became increasingly harder, and the crops never grew as healthy as they did before. Even though she loved her little town. Even just farming with her family was fun to her and everyone that lived there. It was one big happy family so to speak.
Still times were tough on distrct 11 so, Sky soon needed to find a way to make more money to help her adopted parents, but what was she to do. She was not strong, she was not the best girl around, and she just was not really working type besides farming. In wanting to become stronger, disciplined, Sky soon wandered around searching for a teacher. When she was 14 she found her teacher, he was an old fighter in the war. He soon took Sky as his apprentice for three years now. She soon became strong and more disciplined.
And now, ever since her town and other, had that Rebellion, every year a child is picked from her town to go and fight to the death. Now, this year they picked Skyllar. Sky truly did not want to do this, how could she kill a human, her whole town was taught and raise with good morals. This seemed like the worst punishment to her, either get killed or kill.

Personality: Sky is a kind and caring girl; she wishes to help anyone she can. However, throughout these times, she has toughened out and become cold. Cold and numb to feelings trying to make it through life and make her adopted parents proud of her. She had a strong mind and a wonderful will power. Once she starts something, she will not stop until it is finished. Sometimes however, she can get loud in what she believes, fighting for her side, even though sometimes she might be wrong.

Token/Specialties: Sky seems to be best at hand to hand, fighting styles equivalent to kung fu and such. She is great at staying emotionless/numb during fights, controlling each moment. She can tell what her opponent will do next form studying his/her hand/feet/body moments, breathing patterns, and eyes.
