Cordei Academy
A Private Roleplay
The Plot
In a scenario that mixes the anime Vampire Knight and the anime Alice Academy, there comes a question - What is the true purpose of keeping the "Alice"s a secret? Is there some hidden agenda? No one knows. Or do they and they simply aren't saying? It's up to you to discover it.

Within this roleplay, there are two classes - The "Day" Class and The "Night" Class.
In the "Day" Class, you will learn your Geometry, Geography, History, English, etc. with all the other students at Cordei Academy. However, if you have been singled out as having an "Alice", you are also required to take "Night" Classes. To those without "Alice"s, you are known as honor students taking extra courses to get into a better University. The true purpose of these classes, however, is to work on your "Alice" abilities and perfect them. Now, why are you perfecting them in this Government run school? That is the question you must find the answer to.

Perhaps the answer lies with your instructors, perhaps it lies with the administration, or perhaps it lies deep in the United States Government. How much are you willing to risk to find the answer and set things right before it's too late?

Regular or Alice?: Alice; I guess she'd be Special Ability? Kaipa can "bring out" things from artworks or writings that she creates by her own hand. Sometimes she has to concentrate so hard that it hurts, and other times it only takes a stray thought to bring an object or person into the "real" world. Because of the random nature of her Alice, she sometimes has a hard time controlling it. Good thing she can send those things\people back; only problem? There's a chance that things\people around her from the "real" world could get sent into the artwork\writing, too!
Reference Image / Detailed Description of your Alice (if applicable): silvery-white hair with streaks of gold. It is waist-length and wavy, though she wears it up most of the time and secures it with different colored ribbons. She wears sophisticated clothing and jewelry, always with a touch of elegance (she loves the school uniforms). Her skin tone is also extremely pale, causing her to be dubbed "The Ghost" by some of the crueler students. Because of this, she has to carry around a parasol when outside on sunny days.

He has been compared to Adonis, asked to model for male underwear companies, and been placed upon the pedestal of the epitome of manliness (all with only sixteen years under his belt. Wow). He looks older than his age, and acts older, too. He has caramel-chocolate skin and sea green eyes, and is around 6'.

September 9th, 2009 - Cordei Academy

First day of term is always the most hectic day at Cordey Academy. Everyone is rushing around, signing up for this club and that club, all trying to get the best positions before it's too late.

In this Private High School, where uniforms* are a requirement, there is a distinction between the different classes and ranks of the students. Each grade has a specific uniform bow color or tie, depending on your gender of course - Freshman, Burgandy; Sophomore, Gold; Junior, Sapphire; Senior, Jade. However, within these classes, there are students known as Honor Students - these students wear White uniforms, while the Regular Students wear Black Uniforms.

Looking at the Academy, you would believe it to be the most prestigious Private School in all of Japan. Only when you got inside the Administration did you realize just the type of Academy Cordei Academy really is.

Disguised as an Honors Rank, the students of Cordei who wear the White Uniform in each class have a genetic mutation that gives them a rare ability. For some, it is simply Shadow Manipulation or Levitation. But for others, this ability is the ability to summon fire at their fingertips or the ability of Compulsion.

For Saiyuri Rumeti, age 17 and a Junior at Cordei Academy, this genetic mutation, known as an "Alice", is Doppelganging. While she herself wears a White Uniform, her twin sister, Lucia Rumeti, wears a Black Uniform. This difference in rank is quite hard on the twins, for although they are identical in every way aside from the color of their hair and eyes, as well as the "Alice" factor, the twins must keep the secret of Saiyuri's "Alice" a secret from all of the students at Cordei Academy.

You see, the "Alice" abilities are hidden from the Regular students at Cordei in order to keep the "Alice" abilities in general a secret from the public. Whether the Academy or whether the Government has created this secrecy, we do not know. We only know that Lucia is a rare exception to the secrecy policy. With Saiyuri and Lucia being twins, it was hard to keep the secret from Lucia due to them noticing every detail about the other. So although the secret is kept from every other student wearing a Black Uniform, Lucia Rumeti is in on the secret. Will this prove to be a handicap for those who created the secrecy? Time will only tell as the year progresses here at Cordei Academy.

*Note: The Black Uniforms do not have the band on the arm that is shown in the photograph. The Black Uniforms are identical to the White Uniforms, the colors are only reversed.

Haley moved through the halls of Cordei Academy as she attempted to loosen the collar of her white uniform. These uniforms were going to be the death of her. Haley was a fashion diva in the making and white school girl uniforms certainly didn't help any. She had tried to 'glam' up her uniform by adding an assortment of bracelets, necklaces, and earrings as well as a new headband she had seen in Vogue. Her efforts did make her stand out a bit more but the effect was nothing shocking. Figures.

She had been brought here her freshman year, before she could even see the normal high school. Haley grinned at her irony. No high school was 'normal' in her eyes. Least of all Cordei. She had discovered her talents quickly, saving her parents marriage and making her best friend's wishes come true. People were so easy to figure out. Their minds were similar when it came to relationships. Everyone wanted love and Haley took comfort in the fact that she could give that so easily.

She mumbled her combination as she twirled the lock on her locker. "30-2-18." She whispered quietly, trying to memorize the new combination. Her old locker had been simple. 36-18-36. Easy. But Haley was never good with numbers, a reason for her poor math grades.

Dimitri's head felt like it had been dunked in a great pool of water. He wasn't dizzy, he just felt kind of... floaty. Maybe that was because he was finally in highschool... but it was going to be the strangest highschool he'd ever imagined. For a freshman who'd moved to Japan just a few weeks ago from America for the sole reason of being able to play music abnormally well, the whole thing was like a huge whirlwind in his mind.

Lucky for me I took Japanese in elementary, Dimitri thought sarcastically. He had enjoyed learning the language, but he'd never even dreamed that he'd need to use his skills so soon after he'd finished the course. Joy.

Right now Dimitri was walking from his new dorm, his white uniform standing out against the red brickwork and his bookbag held over his shoulder, with his roommate Ryou. Ryou's uniform was Black, like most of the kids who attended Cordei, but that kid was an absolute nut. The moment Dimitri had opened the door to his new room, Ryou had almost barreled into him while trying desperately to escape from a small phile, which was hissing and bubbling, with an angry red colour. The burn on the roof over that spot had constintely reminded Dimitri to peek through the room's window to see what experiment Ryou was conducting before daring to step inside.

"You've gotta tell me what goes on in that special class of yours, okay, Dimitri?" Ryou was saying, speaking so fast that Dimitri almost couldn't understand him. "And you've gotta fill me in on this really hot babe I saw earlier, you won't be able to miss her, she was wearing bangles and necklaces and everything as well as the normal White Uniform, you've gotta help me out with this, I..." Dimitri tuned out about then, his head throbbing from having to translate Ryou's speech so quickly.

Saiyuri, dressed in her white uniform and sapphire bow, and Lucia, dressed in her black uniform and sapphire bow, emerged from their dorm walking arm-and-arm. These two never left each others side - it was as if they were joined at the hip. Surveying the students as they walked by, they noticed that the Freshman class was a bit larger than the previous year - with more "Alice" students than regular students in the mix.

Saiyuri smiled as she whispered to Lucia, "Wouldn't it be nice to find another person with the Doppelganger Alice? I hate being such an oddball!"

Lucia simply laughed as she pulled her sister towards the Art sign-up sheet, "Forget that, you'll find out soon enough. For now let's just sign up for classes, okay?"

Saiyuri rolled her eyes playfully as she wrote both of their names upon the sign-up sheet in her elegant hand, "Okay, okay. And in the mean time, we'll see who's grown up over the summer and who's date-able!" Saiyuri teased with a wicked grin.

Lucia bumped her hip against Saiyuri's as she rolled her eyes and signed herself up for Violin lessons and Saiyuri up for Piano, "Like it matters. It's not like either of us are interested in dating right now anyway."

"You never know," Saiyuri continued to tease as she signed them both up for English Language, "You might find someone who catches your fancy in Violin Lessons, then where shall I be?"

Lucia laughed as she signed them both up for Japanese Language, "I suppose you'd be clueless and lost in class."

Now it was Saiyuri's turn to bump her hip against her sister's as she signed them up for Calculus, "Oh shush, I pay perfect attention!"

"Of course you pay perfect attention, to the guys you're flirting with!" Lucia retorted as she signed them both up for Chemistry.

Signing them both up for Gymnastics, Saiyuri laughed, "Well, technically it is paying attention in class! I just simply neglected to specify what I was paying attention to!"

Rolling her eyes, Lucia signed them both up for cooking as she teased, "Honestly, Sai. If you put as much effort into your studies as you do your flirting, you'd actually earn that honors spot of yours!"

Madaline hurried down the hall corridor, begrudging her socks for not staying in place. She was running late as always. She had gotten wraped up in an art piece and forgotten about class sign ups. She made a bee-line for the arts sign up table. First things first she had to make sure to get into junior art. She came to an abrupt stop as she nearly slammed into two other girls at the table. Madaline you really should pay attention to where you are going. She thought. Madaline busied herself with smoothing out her uniform. She was glad she didn't qualify for honors. The black uniform suiter her better. Though she did despise the way the sapphire bow looked with her freshly dyed hair. What made her think lavender purple was a good choice. I was in a purple mood that day, o well too late to change it now.She mused to herself. She saw an opening at the table and took it. Quickly jotting her name down for juniors art, theater productions, and Cooking, among all her regular accadimic classes. Madaline clutched her messenger bag as she turned to leave for the dining hall. As she did she noticed that the girls she almost toppled were identical in the face eccept for their eyes. Twins, thats interesting Even as she thought it she realized their uniforms were different colors. But Madaline didn't have the time to think on it not right now. She has skipped eating in her rush and the dining hall was the only thing on her mind. Her curiosities about the twins would have to wait.

Christian lounged againt one of the walls in the corridor. He had already signed up for his classes before the crowd got there. Now he was just sitting back and observing his new home. This was his first year at Cordei Academy. He had transfered in from private homeschooling. He started to feel less like a sore thumb when he realized there was a decent mix of the white and black uniforms. He knew who the other "honor" students were by the white uniforms they had to wear. For the first time in his life he felt like he wasn't alone. Christian did not like the fact that he had what the honors teachers called an Alice. He wished more than anything he was in one of those black uniforms. Just a normal guy complaining about a failed math test. But he wasn't He had a strong Alice. Christian had the gift of illusions. He could pull the very thoughts out of others minds and make them manifest. He thought this is looking to be an interesting year, an interesting one indeed. He noticed a girl with excessive jewlery go by and wondered what talent she possessed that earner her a white uniform.

Saiyuri, as observant as ever, noticed a girl her age with lavender hair staring at her and her sister for a few moments before darting off in the opposite direction. Shaking her head in confusing, she looked at the name hastily scrawled beneath Lucia's on the Cooking sign-up sheet - Madaline Chandler. Hmm, she looks familiar.. I wonder if she's been in the art classes I take..

Pushing the thought from her mind as Lucia inquired softly, "Why was that girl staring at us?" Saiyuri laughed it off, "Who knows? Maybe she noticed my purple hair and was disappointed that she wasn't the only one in this school who dyes her hair? She looks interesting though."

Lucia chuckled as she finished signing them up for their classes, "That she does Onee-chan. I don't think we've ever been in the same class as her, though. Do you recognize her?"

Saiyuri shook her head as Lucia finished and they began their way towards the Dining Hall, "She looks a bit familiar, perhaps she's in our art class? She did sign up for Cooking, so I'm sure we'll get a chance to meet her."

As they walked down the hall, a boy leaning against the wall by himself caught Saiyuri's eye. Blushing, Saiyuri quickened their pace towards the Dining Hall. Lucia, noticing the boy as well, chuckled at her sister's reaction, "Sai, don't tell me you're crushing already!"

"Of course not! I mean, sure, he's cute, but he's a newbie! I hardly even know him, he must have just transferred here.. I doubt he'd even have any interest in me anyway, I'm not like the other Honor Students, remember?"

Lucia rolled her eyes as she bumped her hip against Saiyuri's, "Oh come off it, it's better to like us Regulars than to relish in the fact that you're different and treat the rest of us like scum like some of the Honors do. Besides, maybe he's not like that!"

"Time will only tell, Imouto-chan. I guess we'll see when it comes to lessons tonight."

Lucia groaned, "I'll be stuck by myself again with no one to watch TV with! Everyone's busy getting their new classes arranged and preparing for the new term, that no one wants to just relax and watch Dramas. Can't you skip? Hana Yori Dango has a marathon on today."

Saiyuri's eyes sparkled at the mention of her favorite Japanese Drama, "Ooo! That's so unfair! You know I can't skip.. T-Vo it for me and we'll watch it after?"

Lucia sighed, "Oh alright. But when you get back we're vegging out and watching it, alright?"

Saiyuri laughed as they neared the Dining Hall, "Of course Lucia! You honestly think I'd miss Hana Yori Dango?"

Haley had come early to pick her classes, choosing to avoid the crowd. Despite her crazy love of fashion and ability to manipulate feelings Haley had been an outsider at her last school. Using her powers wouldn't create a real friendship. Not for her anyways. She'd decided long ago that she'd rather have no friends then manipulate people into liking her. straightening her gold bow with a frown. Clash much? She thought to herself.

Heading down the halls, Haley dodged the crowd of students skillfully. She slid through the doors of the building. The fresh blew a breeze through her long hair. Haley closed her eyes for a brief moment, breathing in the fresh air before straightening up and heading off for her dorm room.

Dimitri realised he hadn't signed up for classes yet. He interrupted Ryou's continued jabbering to say, "I need to sign up for classes... see you later," and made a hasty departure for the sign-up tables.
"Remember what I told you!" Was Ryou's reply. Dimitri almost shook his head. The girl he was talking about wasn't a freshman like he and Ryou were, so he wouldn't even think about trying to talk to her. Sighing, Dimitri looked around for the arts table. He found it, just as a girl with lavander-coloured hair practically sprinted away and two girls, who looked like twins, sauntered off somewhere.
Dimitri found the music class's sign up sheets in no time. He jabbed down his name for guitar, violin, piano and flute classes, then thought he should vary some of his choices and signed up for cooking. Unsure at how many classes he was allowed to sign up for, Dimitri left it at that, then went and signed up for the base subjects: math, chemistry, geography, social studies, English and Japanese.

Covering his mouth with one hand, Ash allowed himself to yawn discreetly, then proceeded to rub his right eye until it decided to stop trying to close. Really, all his body wanted was to go back to sleep, which he had been more than happy to do on the train ride, seeing as to how all the Japanese people seemed to be doing it. Of course, as an alternative to that, he could amuse himself with how they preferred to crowd on the other side of the compartment rather than come anywhere near him and the black man who sat beside him. Ash didn’t know that man, and they had nothing in common, but in the eyes of the Japanese they were the same: gaijin – foreigners. He had been warned plentifully before by friends who knew more than him about how prejudicial the Japanese were against people not of their own country, however, so he was not surprised. Otherwise, though, he wouldn’t have known anything about Japan, aside from what his father told him. He didn’t even know the language, for that matter. Apparently, that helped you make some friends, at least at your workplace or school. Well, tough tomatoes for him, in that case.

As you might have guessed by now, Ash wasn’t the type to stress very much about matters. It had been enough for him to know that his school was going to have a high concentration of foreigners, for some reason, especially among the honor students. That was enough for him. Still, damned parents for moving this far overseas. Well, he supposed it was to be expected when his father knew both English and Japanese. Though, by far, the greatest horror of them all was that his father taught English here, at this school. Ash was really tempted to not sign up for the class at all, but he knew he’d never hear the end of it at home if he didn’t do it, so he finally pressed the pen down and added his name.

It was only when he turned to look for the next paper that he realized he had been holding up another applicant with his hesitation. It was a boy a little bit shorter than him, and his tie was colored burgundy, marking him as a freshman, unlike Ash’s gold that told everyone he was a sophomore. Though, also unlike Ash, this boy wore a white uniform rather than a black one. The last he’d have wanted was to get between an honor student and his studies, so he hurried to step aside and offer the list.

“Sorry,” he said, grabbing the next list and quickly signing his name up for the Japanese class. He was definitely going to need that one, so there was no bailing out of it, either. That seemed to be it, though. He’d already signed up for enough classes, aside from these – Geography (his favorite subject), History, Algebra, and Astronomy. Definitely had enough for one quarter, so he settled for that.

He noticed the boy from just earlier also signed up for Japanese – but that was pretty much all he still managed to make out before some tall, muscular guy decided he should just push people randomly aside and make his way to the lists. Another honor student, by the uniform, and probably a senior… There had to be at least a few of those idiots in any school, of course, Ash noted with a sigh, as he was struggling to free himself from the crowd as they pushed each other in their rush to get out of the guy’s way. He hit his shoulder in the process, on hell knows what, or who, but he managed to emerge. Seemed he was right near the same guy again.

“You alright?” he said as he rubbed his shoulder, figuring that, since they were both foreigners anyway, he could just start a conversation.

Dimitri smiled at the sophomore; he felt safe talking with one of them. "Thanks," he replied, signing up.

Dimitri almost got bowled over by the brawny senior as he pushed everyone aside; why would anyone be so anxious to sign up for base subjects? Dimitri shrugged to himself.

He started when he heard someone speak to him in English; it had been so long since he'd used the familiar language. He glanced around to see who had spoken, and saw the sophomore who'd moved aside for him earlier. He grinned.

"I'm fine. Great idiot, you'd think he was the type who liked studying, eh?" Dimitri grinned.

Ash's hand fell back to his side, and he tried to move his shoulder a little, to test it. Everything seemed to be okay, so he relaxed and concentrated his full attention on the freshman from before... only to twitch slightly when he heard what he was saying. Now, you see, Ash agreed with him entirely, but he was not exactly the bravest guy ever. Or, well, he liked to call it 'caution', to put it best. You tended to avoid fighting when your father was a teacher, anyway.

He glanced quickly back, but no one seemed to be paying any attention to the dialogue between two more insignificant boys in the crowd, and especially not the big guy in question. So it was all fine.

"I almost want to hope he'll fail his exams," he replied, chuckling, "but that means we'd have him here for another year."

He tried to remember what he was supposed to be doing now. Right, his stomach reminded him with a long, protesting sound: most people went to the dining hall after they signed up for their classes. They were all tired and hungry after traveling all the way here and getting settled, so the food they served here, good or not, was God's gift.

"Sorry about that," he said, clearing his throat and looking down at his stomach.

Of course, this guy was a freshman, so Ash wondered if he even knew there was a dining hall. Probably, now. Not everyone's a moron, like you were, Ash, he thought to himself, smiling slightly at the memory without even noticing it.

"Everyone's heading off to lunch, so it's probably a good idea for me to follow," he said, laughing, and he pointed to the corridor leading off on their right. "Dining hall's that way, if you wanna come, too."

With that, he started off, trying to spot any familiar faces in the crowd, while also keeping an eye on the other boy, to see if he should turn around to say goodbye or wait for him to tag along.

Madaline sat at a table in her favorite corner of the dining hall. This was not her first year at Cordie. She picked at her food and opted to munch on the bag of cheetos she had in her messenger bag and drink the dr. pepper she was so horribly addicted to. She had seen a lot of new faces today. Mainly in the white honors uniforms. She thought to herself I don't know how I dodged honors classes with my grades they can't get much higher. But she was glad of it. She had no desire to take the required night classes that came with honors.

Her thoughts were on the twins she had almost plowed over when she caught site of them entering the dining hall. They were so similar, yet Madaline could tell that the one with the light hair was more reserved. She smiled to herself thinking. you and me both sister, you and me both. She wondered if maybe she would have a class with her, maybe after 2 years of being alone in this place she could make a friend. Her line of sight was cut off then by a couple of boys passing by her. She recognized one from a music class the year before. Ash something or nother. humm this year looks to be full of old faces as well. Madaline went back to her cheeto munching and took to doodleing in her sketch book. As always lost in her thoughts.

Dimitri laughed openly at the sophomore's comment; the guy seemed to have a sense of humor at least.
"Oh, it's time for lunch already?" Dimitri said, surprised. Had he really kept from signing up for that long? He decided he might as well follow the sophomore; he didn't know where the dining hall was. That reminded him that they hadn't introduced eachother yet, though Dimitri wasn't sure whether the boy really wanted to have anything to do with him now; his head was turning about as if he were looking for his friends from the previous year. Still, Dimitri followed a few steps behind him, hoping he'd go straight to the dining hall.

It seemed the guy was opting to follow, so Ash waited for him and set his own pace after the freshman’s, though leading the way just a bit since he was the one who knew where they were going. As they walked, he recalled needing a bit of time to get the hang of everything last year, so he was more than willing to give this boy time to do the same. If he hadn’t met some nice people last year, he would’ve had more trouble too, so he figured it was sort of like returning a favor. That, and Ash was a sociable person in general. He liked being around people. And, speaking of that…

“Oh, yeah,” he said, scratching the back of his head briefly while he held his other hand out to the guy. “I forgot. I’m Ash Mayne. How about you?”

By the time he did that, they were already in the dining hall, so he still looked around briefly. He spotted only one familiar figure in their vicinity for the moment, and it seemed like the girl had noticed him as well. He would have waved to her, but she quickly turned back to her food and what seemed like a sketch she had been doing, so he refrained as well, since she probably wouldn’t see it. But they could probably…

“Mind going to sit over there?” he said, pointing to the free seats near the girl.

He tried to recall her name, but nothing specific came to mind. Damn knowing too many people. He could recall they’d taken a music class together last year, though. Yeaaaaah. That had been an uninspired choice he wasn’t going to repeat. Well. At least he’d discovered the one thing he really had zero talent for.

Dimitri blinked for a second, then smiled and took Ash's hand. "Dimitri Brom," he confirmed. He glanced in the direction Ash indicated that they sit; the girl he'd seen dashing off before was seated there, eating Cheeto's (something he hadn't expected to see in a Japanese boarding school) and sketching something. Apart from the crazy hair-do and multiple piercings, she looked like a fairly nice person.
"Sure," Dimitri said, flashing another smile. He knew that sometimes he smiled too much, but he figured it was okay for now.

“Great.”

As he said that, though, and smiled back briefly at Dimitri, Ash had to wonder how the boy thought of him in regards to the fact that he was just a regular student. This guy seemed too nice to be biased by such things, though. And Ash, personally, hadn’t had any unpleasant experiences with the honor students (excluding that one guy back there, who was probably a problem for the other honor students, too, anyway). He had just heard stories from other regular students like him, about being looked down upon and the likes. To be honest, he had never cared that much, but he wondered sometimes.

“Man, your name sure sounds foreign, though,” he ranted cheerfully as he went towards the table the girl sat at. “I mean, even for me. Where are you from?”

He listened for Dimitri’s answer, but kind of double-timed his attention with stopping besides the girl and sitting down next to her, glancing briefly at her sketch in the process. Ash could become scatter-brained like that pretty often. He still couldn’t remember her name at all, but she was pretty good. Or, well, he thought so, but that came from someone with no talent for these things, really. He looked back for a second just to make sure Dimitri was still with him, too.

“Hey,” he said to the girl after that. “You don’t mind if we sit here, right?”

As Lucia and Saiyuri entered the Cafeteria and headed towards the line to get a couple cups of honey-lemon tea and a bento to share, Lucia clung to Saiyuri's arm, "Sai, that girl was staring again. And now Ash is sitting with her, not to mention some new kid. Do you think they'll start staring too?"

Saiyuri laughed, "Luc, honestly, you worry far too much. Maybe instead of condemning us, she's just trying to find a way to talk to us. Maybe she's just unnerved by our Twin-Essence?"

"Twin-Essense?" Lucia teased at Saiyuri's new word, "What on earth does that mean?"

Paying for their tea and bento, Saiyuri replied, "Our identical-uniqueness that separates us from the crowd and makes us stand out. It's a bit unnerving to those who don't know us."

"Especially if we finish each other's sentences and move at the same time?"

"Precisely," Saiyuri laughed as she handed Lucia the bento and a cup of tea. Looping her free hand through Lucia's arm, Saiyuri led her sister towards the group mentioned earlier.

"Yo," said Saiyuri with a smile, "Mind it we sit here too?"

Blushing, Lucia peeked at the group, "If it's not too much trouble, of course."

Haley entered the cafeteria to buy a small bowl of fruit and a bottle of water. Great... She thought to herself when she saw the groups of students gathered around the cafeteria. Everyone seemed to know each other. Taking a deep breath, Haley looked for a table with an empty seat.

Haley spotted a small table where two boys, a girl who seemed to be drawing, and a pair of twins sat. "Hello, I'm Haley. Do you mind if I sit here?" She asked as she set her tray down.

Dimitri grinned at Ash's comment on his name. "My dad came from Russia, and my mom's Italian," he confessed. Then he waited for the girl to confirm that they could sit with her.

He glanced at the twins as they arrived, and couldn't help but stare a bit. They were almost identical - he didn't mean to be offensive, but it was a little creepy how they seemed to move in perfect unison. But, he blinked and smiled at them both.

Dimitri smiled at the other girl that came over as well; he seemed to be smiling a lot today. And there were so many new people for him to meet, that he almost felt overwhelmed.

Madaline was too wrapped up in her sketch to notice the boys aproch her table. So when he spoke it startled her. She wasn't use to attention let alone attention from the opposite sex. When she looked up she saw it was that guy Ash something or nother. gah why am I so bad with names!she scolded herself internally. He had a guy with him who was a freshmen from the looks of the uniform. It took her a good minute to respond and she ended up just shaking her head yes. The boys sat down with her.

Before the freshman had even gotten seated the twins she had been wondering about appeared out of nowhere. Madaline couldn't get over how alike they were. They actually moved as one person. that is so creepy, she thought. Aparently they wanted to sit with her as well. All the attention was making her a bit nervouse. Madaline put down her sketchbook and waved them in and found her voice. "Sure have a seat" she said and managed a smile. She noticed the fair haired one seemed as nervouse as her, and thoughtmaybe we do have something in common then.

Her thoughts were interupted by a jangling of metal and plastic. Madaline looked up and saw a girl who was armored in accessories. what is this attack the wierd girl dayshe thought. But she couldn't say no so she just nodded.

Madaline looked around her, the table was almost compleatly full. so much for being the loner this year As she thought it a smile came to her lips.

"So where are you guys from? And how did you get here?"She asked the odd group that had assymbeled around her."[/i]As she waited for their replies she sipped her dr pepper and grabbed another cheato from her bag.

Christian had made his way to the dineing hall as that seemed to be what everyone else was doing. He couldn't help but notice that the ones he had noticed at sign ups had come together at a teble at the far corner of the huge room. hummm maybe they are all friends then he thought to himself. Definatly an interesting group in that case. He made a mental note to introduce himself some time. But for now he was going to do what he did best. Watch. Christian pulled his thoughts around him to cloak him from the room.

Madaline had noticed a boy she didn't know looking at them. And in the blink of an eye he was gone as though he had just vanished. She turned her attention back to the group of people around her, and put all thoughts of the boy out of her mind. had she imagined him? Someone started to speak and the thought was gone.

Saiyuri held out her hand, "Saiyuri Rumeti, Junior Honor."

Lucia held out her her hand as well as she spoke, "Lucia Rumeti, Junior Regular."

Smiling the two turned to Ash, "Ash, right? Good to see you again." Turning back to purple haired girl, they continued, "We've forgotten your name, we're afraid, but you're in art, right? You seem familiar."

Laughing the girls sat down with their tea and opened their bento. Each taking a pair of chopsticks, using opposite hands, they began eating as they waited for the new students to introduce themselves, as well as the Junior to reintroduce herself.

"I'm Haley Parrow, Sophmore Honor." Haley said, taking a seat and picking up her fork. "I just moved here from a private school in London but I'm originally from the states. My folks still live there." She explained, popping a piece of watermelon in her mouth.

Haley noticed as the twins seemed to move in perfect sync with each other. Strange... She thought to herself though she said nothing. She wondered briefly about how only one of them had an ability. I guess identical twins aren't always completely identical... She wondered before turning back to her fruit bowl. It was none of her business anyways.

Now that more people had arrived around the table, Ash couldn't just sit sideways on his chair like he had been so far, because that way he'd have his back turned on some of the others. So, he slipped off his backpack and allowed it to fall to the floor with a short muffled sound, then turned around, leaning back in his seat. He waved lazily to Lucia and Sa... Saiyuri... good thing she'd just said her name again earlier, or he'd have had trouble remembering that.

"Same here," he said, smiling.

The fact that they had food, though, reminded him he was hungry, too. He picked up his bag and unzipped it open, fishing through and casually tossing a bag of chips and a few candy bars on the table. Then, he took out his sandwiches, a bit more carefully, putting the bag back down. They were wrapped in tin foil, and it was a rather messy job - no wonder, since he'd done it himself. The sandwiches were the plain old stuff - salad, bacon and cheese. It was pretty much the only thing he could make right, anyway.

You see, Ash's mother had tried to make him a bento... once. It hadn't gone that well. She was taking some weird cooking classes now, so she'd probably gotten better since then, but he still hadn't deemed it safe until she tested out her extraordinary skills on someone else first. So, instead, he'd taken to the habit of making sandwiches for himself. It was likely the last home-made meal he'd be seeing for a very long while, no matter how unsophisticated, so he intended to enjoy it in full before having to switch back to the cafeteria food he'd be getting all year.

"If anyone wants anything, feel free," he said, already with one of the three sandwiches in hand. "Just don't complain about it." He laughed as he removed the tin foil from his sandwich, then took a healthy bite. Mentally, he repeated everyone’s names to make sure he’d remember them for at least… however long they were going to sit here together.

Setting her tea cup back upon the saucer, Saiyuri began, "Thanks but the bento will-"

"-be more than enough for the two of us," finished Lucia with a hesitant glance at Ash.

Chuckling softly at her sister's shyness, Saiyuri turned to the Freshman sitting near Ash, "You're new, right? If you need any help getting around,-"

"-or if the older students pick on you,-" added Lucia.

"-feel free to come to us and we'll take care of it," finished the twins together.

"We may not be completely popular-"

"-but we know a lot of decent people-"

"-who will be more than happy to help you out."

The girls then turned to Haley as they spoke in unison, "The same goes for you Haley."

Turning back to their bento, they began eating - their movements identical and in unison, as if they were mirroring the other's movements. However, this small oddity wasn't planned by the twins, it was just something that tended to happen with them.
