Bio: Akiyama is the owner of a bookstore and spends most of his time there. During his travels, he's collected all sorts of books and is now selling his extra copies in a used bookstore where people can bring him books in exchange for his instead of paying for them. He lives alone in a small cottage in the woods outside of town. When he was just 17, a terrible fire killed his parents and elder sister. He and his younger sister, Nadine, are the only survivors of the family. Nadine is twenty-two years old and is currently married with a child on the way. They live two hours away by car from Akiyama and make visits to Akiyama every couple of months.

Bio: Caterina aka Kit, Lived in a small village of Kaldains, forest dwellers that learned to speak with tree's and the earth. her family was shunned by the village they lived in, and all her young life, she had no idea why. Not much other than that is known to her, she blacked out shortly after her mother was killed by the towns people.

She's been traveling since, carrying the weapon her mother loved so dearly. She came apon a village once in her travels, meeting a boy, one who made her heart flutter and fill with joy and all those other good things. She lived with him in his small shelter in the woods for about a year, until she had another black out.

She woke up outside a bookstore, comfused. She tried to stand properly, to get a good look at everything, but only managed to get up a few inches off the ground.

This is the story of a normal Human boy, and the strange critter he met outside his shop.

Caterina woke up, tired and confused, her fur soaking wet. 'f-fur?' she thought confused as she shook her body, trying to get some of the water off. She barely dogged someones fancy high heeled shoe, scurrying away to hide behind a car. She stared up at the huge beast, hissing and backing away. 'what on earth is that!' she'd never seen a car before, she'd heard of the contraptions, but she never figured they would be gigantic.

She ran from the contraption, scared for her life as she scurried into the bookstore behind another human. Inside felt safe, at least until the woman she hand ran past screamed.

"Wha..th-there's a cat in here!!! I...what if it has rabies or something!!!" The woman grabbed her daughter, dragging the unfortunate girl out of the store, yelling things about why she should have never taking her daughter to such a run down place, and how they could find much better books elsewhere.

Caterina looked up curiously 'a cat....oh..I guess that would make sense..." she sat on the floor, looking around, noone else seemed to be running away.

Akiyama, having been stacking books a few isles over, peeked his head around the corner as he witnessed the end of the woman's tirade. Seeing the small cat sitting near the doorway, Akiyama chuckled as he thought to himself, 'That's what the commotion was all about? A small kitten? And here I thought it would be something at least a bit mangy. It's well kept, I wonder what the problem was..' he finished musing to himself as neared the kitten. "Hey there kitty. What's a small thing like you doing scaring off all my customers hm?"

Picking up the small kitten, he checked around for a collar as he asked more to kitten than anyone, though he knew he wouldn't get an answer, "Where's your master, huh little kitty? Did you follow your owner into the shop? Well, I don't see a collar. So let's get go over to the register so your owner will know you're here when he or she checks out, and will be able to claim you, shall we?"

Picking up the small kitten, Akiyama took the small kitten to the register and placed her on the counter, "Now you be a good kitty and stay here, alright? I don't need to have to clean up a mess you made. I just have to go finish stocking that shelf and I'll be back, alright?"

Caressing the kitty's head once more, Akiyama chuckled as he headed for the shelf to finish stocking the shelf with fiction novels as he muttered to himself, "Jeeze, now I'm talking to cats as if they can understand me. I really have been in this shop too long," he added with a soft chuckle before beginning his work once more.

Caterina meowed looking around 'I don't have an owner...' she tried to tell him, hopping off the desk and following after him. 'who are you....why do you smell good...?' she tried to ask, pawing at his pant leg. She spent the whole rest of the day following Akiyama around, whether he liked it or not.

She almost got stepped on three times, hissing at the poor people who got in her way, 'stupid humans!'. She was overall very behaved other than not obeying anything Akiyama said.

By the end of the day she had wandered off behind the counter, curling up for a nap. It was tiring walking around with such tiny legs. as she slept though, her body began to change, forming into a young girl with blond hair and pointed ears..

'Why was that kitten I found following me around so much and meowing?' Akiyama thought absently as he gathered his things for the day. "Well, come on little kitty. No one claimed you, but surely someone will be looking for you. I'll take you-oh dear Lord in Heaven.." Akiyama exclaimed as he walked around the counter and saw a naked girl conveniently covered by her position and her hair. Taking off his jacket, Akiyama averted his eyes to the ceiling as he draped the coat over the girl in front of him, who looked no more than eighteen or nineteen years old.

Once she was decently covered, Akiyama crouched down and tapped her shoulder, "Excuse me Miss, but um.. What are you doing sleeping in my shop with no clothing? And where's the little kitty who was sleeping here? Did you come to claim her?"

Caterina woke up rubbing at her eyes, sitting up in a way that made the coat fall a little. "ah wh-" she yanked the coat back up, looking around confused. She lifted up her hand and looked at it barely even noticing Akiyama " w-" her eyes traveled from her hand to the man standing nearby, "k-kitty?"

She got to her feet, holding the coat in front of her as she tried to figure out what was going on. She turned around a minute, pulling the jacket on so that it would cover her more thoroughly "I'm gunna steal this" she said, looking for the door before bolting out of it.

She ran as far as she could ending up further out of town ending up near a cottage. Caterina moved closer, sniffing around the air as she did. "a-ah...s-s-someone lives here?" she asked no one in particular, walking up to peek in the window.
