Appearance: Thin, drab brown hair, with the tiniest hint of silver in the right light, and brown eyes; slightly tall; wears old clothes (jeans, T-shirt) with occasional rips; very thin, to the point where you can see a faint outline of ribs underneath her shirt. Background: Shelno is a werewolf, and hasn't traditionally been accepted by people. Werewolves can change at any time*, a fact they kept secret from humans for fear of persecution, but when a community Shelno stopped in found this out, she was forced to flee earlier than expected.

*Terry Pratchett receives credit for this inspiration. His version of werewolves are my favourite.

Sex: Female
Age: 16
Appearance: Quite short, just under five feet tall. Her eyes are dark grey and she has limp blond hair that is usually kept in a ponytail. She would usually be caught wearing over-sized sweatshirts and workout shorts, just for the sake of being comfortable.
Background: Jordyn lived a very peaceful and mostly mundane life in her small suburban community. She went about her days quietly and never expected anything out of the ordinary. A werewolf scare changed this. New information had come out about their ability to change, and Jordyn's family took precautions. Unfortunately, Jordyn happened to be alone the night she was attacked.

Jordyn awoke with a hard gasp, sucking in air as quickly as she could. Her eyes burst open but she immediately regretted doing so; everything was illuminated, bright and vibrant, more so than it should have been given that she was somewhere very dark. Her head hurt after being forced to take so much in at once and she shut her eyes hard once again.

Her whole body tingled with a lingering pain that she knew had lasted for some time. Pushing herself off the floor with shaking arms, she stumbled to her feet, and tried to find the nearest wall to lean against. Instead, she fell into something soft...a chair! She sat in it, and a plume of dust came up. Suddenly, every smell in room announced itself and again her mind was overcome with too much information at once.

Jordyn placed her hands over her eyes, trying desperately to figure out what was going on. There was a creak from far away. Jordyn's ears perked a little, seeming to follow the noise. Someone was coming closer to the room she was in. She felt on edge immediately. It felt like her whole body was preparing for this encounter.

(Er...Sorry, I have no idea how to insert my character into this. One, like I said in Shelno's bio, they kept it secret that they can change whenever they like. Secondly...what's the setting?)

((ooooh. ok. Well I thought that Jordyn would have been in the community that found out about them being able to change. And second, I'm thinking she was taken somewhere after she was bitten she wouldn't be left alone, like a house or something.))

(Werewolves kept that ability hidden from everyone because they knew they'd get persecuted even more for it, so I'm not sure how the community would've found out. And I must say you've got a really nice premise there, but I have absolutely no idea how to insert Shelno into it.)

((In your description, it just said they did. And I was thinking Shelno could be the person coming toward the room to check in on Jordyn.))

(Ahh, sorry, didn't quite word it so well. They just found out she was a werewolf, not necessarily that she changed whenever she liked. If I could do that, I would've posted it already, but it's out of character for Shelno to be included in something like this; it's not typical of werewolves at all, actually.)

(Starting over would be best in this case...but I'm not sure about Jordyn being attacked as though she was being targeted specifically. Perhaps there's an incident and she gets bitten accidentally?)

Shelno looked up. She licked her lips and trotted foreword; it meant leaving her clothes behind, but in this form it didn't matter. She was more worried by the scent of a rabid dog.

Shelno's pace increased when she smelled a human near the dog. She couldn't smell blood, so whoever the human was hadn't been bitten yet, but she was worried about that happening.

Jordyn's heart was racing as she tried to step away from the dog in front of her. It growled at her and she immediately froze in her place. It was stupid to have gone out alone. Now she was stuck, a rabid dog in her way. She started to walk backwards, hoping to lose the dog's attention somehow. Instead it followed her at the same pace. She let out a soft whimper, picking up a little speed but the dog matched her timing.

Shelno full-out ran to the place where she smelled the dog and the girl, then slowed to a walk when she got there. She began growling at the dog, then stepped out of the shadows.

Jordyn snapped her head around when she heard something big nearby. A long shiver ran down her body when she heard the growl of another dog coming from the darkness. A beast appeared from there, aiming its attention at the rabid dog in front of her. Too frightened to make sense of it all, Jordyn ran in the opposite.

The dog ran foreword and quickly overtook the girl, snarling at her. Shelno launched herself at it and knocked it out of the girl's path, biting its shoulder.

(I was thinking maybe Jordyn tries to help out or something and gets bitten accidentally? Or does something to get her hand or so within range of Shelno's teeth.)

Jordyn fell face forward, slamming into the ground as the dog hit her but the weight on her didn't last long as the other dog-like creature hit it. She stood up and watched them fight and felt sympathy for the one that had helped her. She ran over quickly, thinking to maybe kick the rabid dog away, to help out. Once she swung her leg, however, her calf got in the way of the next attack. She to the ground once more, in the most pain she'd ever been. The her leg was bleeding heavily from the bite wound.

Shelno smelled human blood and looked. She quickly turned her attention back as the rabid dog took the opportunity to attack again. Shelno narrowly avoided a bite, and clamped her jaws around the back of the dog's neck. She could worry about the human later.

Jordyn began crawling away, but her leg was too badly injured to move much. The fight continued behind her, but all she wanted to do was get away. The pain was crawling up her leg now, threatening to put her shock.

The dog dropped to the ground, dead. Shelno let go of it and looked at the girl. She didn't know if she or the dog had been the one to bit her. The werewolf turned tail and ran back to where she had been, then changed and quickly dressed. She ran back, but slowed down and got control of her breathing. As far as the girl knew, she would be an ordinary passer-by who'd just happened to find her.

When the girl came into sight, Shelno hurried over and leaned beside her. She clamped her hand over the wound on the girl's leg.

'What happened?' she asked.

Letting out a cry when she felt something on her leg, Jordyn thought fleetingly it was one of the dogs come to attack her again. Instead, it felt like a hand. She looked up and saw a girl about her age who looked concerned.

"It was a dog attack...I don't know...." she looked around, possibly looking for something to help her explain. "There was another dog, or wolf, or something. I'm not sure which one bit me. Can you help, please?!"

'Yes, of course,' Shelno said. She looked at the dog, which lay not far away. 'It was rabid, wasn't it?'

Jordyn nodded. "Yeah, I think so. The other one was just...big."

'We need to get you to a hospital...' Shelno said. 'Do you have anything we can use for a bandage?'

Jordyn stripped off her sweatshirt and held it out. "Will that be ok? I don't have anything else."

'That'll be fine,' Shelno said, taking it. She wrapped it around the wound, not too tightly so that she wouldn't cut off blood flow, and tied it.

Shelno went up and offered her arm to the girl. 'Let's go,' she said.
