It was yet another day in Rockport, Louisiana. A tiny town in the middle of no where, it's only real attraction was the small fisherman's port. Most people who lived their had at least some relation to the fishing industry, and young Marcus Henry Roland was not different. His Father, Henry William Roland, owned a large fishing boat, the S.S. Coastal, and he owned was part owner of one of the largest fish exporting plants in town. Not that there were that many anyway.

Marcus just wanted to get out of town. He would get a good eduaction, get a part time job, and then go to a university as far from here as he could. That was a while off. For now, he just had to go to his school normally. As we walked up the steps, he knew this day would, unfortunatly, be like every other.

Marie Rose Abrelle walked out of the school office after reciving her class list and locker. She had been to so many different schools it was funny. She stood there amist and students walking to class, she looked 13, but with a fully devolped body. Sighing she walked over to her locker and set her books inside.

Marcus opened his locker, glancing across the hall. He'd never seen the girl at the nearby locker. She was different from the rest of the kids around here. He shrugged, put his books away, and head to class. He liked to get to class early, so he could avoid most of the people here. There were plenty of kids who knew his father wealthy, and so they always tried to get close enough to him to get something. He hated the falsity of people in this school. The only people who didn't care were the people who figured they'd spend their lives like their parents had... working till dusk to bring in food. He couldn't wait to get out of this town.

He sighed. 'I guess I shouldn't be so critical. I'm 17, for crying out loud. What do I care?'

Marie noticed someone watching her, she turned and watched Marcus walk away. Intrigued she followed him. He was in her class, advanced Honors Anatomy. She sat down behind him and watched him. She knew she must look silly, with her Red ribbon around her hair, her dress and her matching black ribbon tying her red hair up. She didn't care, in face she loved being out of the norm.

Marcus couldn't help but notice the girl from the locker was now in his class. He was certian he hadn't seen her before, mostly because he took the time to know just about everyone in class.

As other students filtered in, he glance back at her again. She was short, definatly out of place. How young was she, and what was with those clothes? He realized he was staring and quickly looked back at his books.

Marie listened in Awe as the teacher spoke of the Bubonic plague. It was funny how humans mistook the greatest time in Vampire History when more vampires where born then ever before and turned it into a time of sadness. She noticed that the kid of the hallway was watching her. She smiled as he turned around shyly.

After class she got up and walked to the cafeteria and stood in line for lunch. She wouldn't taste the food, but she had to keep up appearances and eat something. She paid and sat by herself by the window. This new school was quite exciting, teenagers running around and yelling.

Once again, Marcus found himself spotting the girl across the cafeteria. He couldn't help but watch her, something about her intrested him. He followed her, but sat a table away, looking up at her occasionally. He ate in silence, trying to figure out what it was that puzzled him about her.

Noticing him watching her again Marie sighed. She got up and walked over to his seat. "Hello Marcus. It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Marie. New, just moved from Romania." She asked sitting down across from him. Marie was an old vampire, she still kept to the old ways, she delicately placed her arms on the table, elbows off, and her fingers laced together holding her chin.

His eyes widen, surprised. "Um, hi.... it's nice to meet you." He looked over his shoulder, then back at her. "Um, well, welcome to our school. What do you think so far?"

"It's a bit overcrowded, but cofetable." She said laughing. Her laughter always sounded like bells to her, she wondered what humans heard.

He smiled at her laugh, going back to his food. "So, Romania, huh? That's a long from Louisiana. Why'd ya move here, and what do you think of out little town?" He figured since she was new, he might as well observe the common courtesy.

"My fathers bussiness got transfered to america. This town is okay, nothing really to do besides school." She sighed making up a common human excuse for moving. She watched as he ate, the vein in his neck danced around when ever he chewed making her mouth water.

He nodded. "Yeah, well, You don't know how true that is." He set his fork down. "I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a nice place, it's just so dull." He looked at his tray, putting his elbows up and setting his chin on his interlaced fingers. "I just wish something exciting would happen around here once in a while." He looked up at her and smiled. "Well, I guess someone coming all the way from Romania is pretty exciting, so looks like my wish is already coming true."

"Oh stop, your going to make me blush." She gushed fanning herself. She smiled at the joke, this lad was quite funny. "Yes, quite Dull in dead. Tell me, is there any good place to get a bite to eat on a friday night?" She asked with a small hint of wanting to hang out.

He smiled, amazed at his luck. Here he was, sitting here chatting it up with the new girl, and she was hinting that she wanted him to ask her out. Maybe not on a date, he figured, but at least out none the less. "Sure, I know about every place in town. What kind of food do you like?"

"Hmm...My favorite is Pizza." She said with a smile.

He thought for a moment, then snapped his fingers. "I think I have just the place." He smiled. "Do you want to head over after school, or would you rather later in the evening, and I come pick you up?"

"How about you pick me up at about 4." Marie smiled as the bell rang. Her plate was still untouched as she tossed it in the trash and went to class.
After school she drove home and took a shower. She changed into a mini-skirt that showed her legs, and a band-tshirt and a sweater, then she waited for him to pull up.

After school, he headed home and threw on a Black T-shirt and Blue Jeans, and tossed his coat into the back of his car, incase it got to cold. Then he headed over to pick her up.

He pulled up at about 3:55, deciding it was better to be early then late. He glanced out his window, looking up at her place and looking it over, as well as looking for her.

Marie walked out of the house and pretended to shove someone away from the door then she ran to the car, her curly hair staying in place. "Lets go before my dad runs out here." She giggeled waving up at the two story mansion.

He smiled, and nodded. "Sure thing." He headed off, glancing over his shoulder as he did."Nice place. Way bigger then mine." He glanced at her quickly with a smile, then turned back to the road. "So, hungry?"

"Starving." Marie sighed as she settled into the seat. She looked over at him and smiled.

He smiled back, but keeping his eye on the road. After a short drive, he pulled up infront of a small Pizza place. "This place is great, but it's a small place, and they don't deliever, so they aren't very busy." He parked in a parking space, and stopped the car. "This ok?"

"Perfect, I hate crowded resturaunts." She said with a smile. This boy was something else, she'd never been out on a DATE with a human before, Usually she just bit them.
