Name: Flutter Catane
Age: Appears 17, but she doesn't quite know her own age.

Race: Half-Vampire, Half-Human
Appearance: Flutter ((Note: Flutter has really long hair, but this is the general concept of how she looks.))
Biography: Flutter lived separated from her family for a majority of her life. She was always sickly (though she never quite knew before just transferring that it was because of her split genetics), and so she lived alone with her human uncle so that he could help her get treatment for her odd blood problems. After her uncle died and her brother helped her find out her true nature, Flutter moved with her brother back to the town he'd come to her from. She can only eat sweet things- she gives blood rather than taking it. She loves working with herbs.

Name: Sayaku Catane
Age: Appears 18, real age is approximately 183 years.
Gender: Male
Race: Half-Vampire, Half-Human
Appearance: Sayaku
Biography: Sayaku had known basically from the start about his origins. His father, Razen Catane, was a renowned vampire that had been outcast by his homeland for falling in love with a human. Unlike his sister, Sayaku shows more vampire-like traits such as craving blood. He moved to be with her around the time their human uncle died, but soon took her back with him to return to school. He hates sweets and loves drumming. Unlike his sister, he likes water a lot.

It was sunny out- or rather, sunny enough to bug their eyes. The blue haired girl and brown haired boy that walked through the old school gates seemed to still be adjusting to the lighting of the area. The girl was huddled in thick clothing, her brother meanwhile wearing little more then shorts and a t-shirt. It was not cold out, but Flutter was naturally cold. Her brother was naturally warm- just one of many contradictions between them.

Flutter was scared. She clung to Sayaku's arm as if for dear life, not knowing what it meant to go to school. Her heart pounded rapidly, her blood increasing from anxiety. Sayaku tried to calm her. It'd been a while since he'd been in the area, so he was actually a bit nervous himself. However, he pretended not to be- he needed to be strong for his frail little sister that seemed ready to burst into tears from fear.

Name: Dia Lynn Passon
Age: 18

Race: Vampire

Biography: Dia has been a vampire for who knows how long but almost the entire time she was alone, she had a best friend.....once....but he isnt here anymore. She loves roses and singing, her little brother Alex plays the guitar while she sings, its the only thing that brings them together anymore. They were close but now their not. They both dress similar to the 'punk' style. Dia secretly fears being alone.

Biography: Music, bugging his sister, black roses. Thats what occupies most of Alex's life. He plays guitar just so his sister will sing to it, he loves his sister but doesnt show it. Hes secretly jealous of her talent. He hates to be compared with Dia and will openly fight about it. He dresses like his sister with the 'punk/emo' style. Unlike his sister he loves human food.

'Lets write a song that we can dance to, cuz they dont wanna listen. Just to know how it sounds when.....' Dia's bell like voice rang out to the song her brother was playing, it was their custom to sit on a picnic table in the front of the school and perform for no reason. Her brother Alex would play the guitar and Dia would sing, they usually got a crowd and sometimes they would be asked to perform at school assemblies. Today it was just something to do. She smiled at her brother but when the song finished the light from her eyes died. She looked over to see two students walking to the front door, "Look Alex new students!" she told him nudging him.

Alex turned his eyes to the students, their was a girl and then there was a boy. "Yeah looks like their transfer students but their not total vampire, just half. He said when he caught their scent. He looked over at his sister who nodded and then asked him to play another song. "Sure whatever" He picked up his guitar and started plucking the strings. He sighed inwardly when his sister started singing, he loved her voice but he was jealous he couldnt sing.

'Dear Jamie, ive got a letter i would like to send....'

Though his sister had no interest, the boy felt like listening to the music anyway, caught into a whirlwind of curiosity by the oddly familiar sound of the distinctive, chiming voice. His hand tugged on that of the younger girl's, taking her against her will to the same bench that had the large crowd gathered about its roots that kept it locked into the ground below. He gazed at the musicians curiously- being a musician himself, he could sense how they were playing and what sort of practice it had and the like- but more because of that tinge of similarity that couldn't seem to get out of his hazy eyes.

The girl, meanwhile, stole her hand away from her brother. Flutter did not like close contact often, and her brother was no exception. As she looked up at his mystified face, trying to get his attention to ask to leave, she noticed just how lost he seemed internally. "Big brother?" She tapped his arm. "Saya...? Sayaku, it's not funny.." He continued to disregard her for that time- he was too enthralled. She sighed from that realization.

Alex looked over at the girl, she had a pretty face. Smiling he started playing a duet him and his sister liked to sing. 'And hey darling, i hope your good tonight. I know you dont feel right when im leaving....' his velvet voice wasnt as good as his sisters but it wasnt bad. 'Then i swear come tomorrow this will all be in the past....' his black and green stripped hair fell over one of his eyes as he played.

Dia looked at the boy and she tipped her head, he was familliar. She shook the feeling off and smiled at the boy. Swaying to the song she waited for her part to come up. She leaned back on the table and watched the crowd that she didnt notice before. 'And hey sweetie, i need you here tonight. And i know you dont wanna be leaving me' she sang out, her dark eyes glittering, 'You know you cant give me what i need, and even though you mean so much to me, i cant wait through everything'

Sayaku eventually snapped out of his exhausting daze, shaking his head to get the remnants from taking over again. He noted his sister's words, laughing nervously as he pat her head. "Sorry, sis. Couldn't help it... Did you want something?"

"Saya, I want to go get my class schedule. I don't know where it is I got to get it.... Can't you help me?"

"Oh- right. Sorry, sis. I forgot you've never been to a school before at all." As he rubbed the back of his neck from embarrassment, he added, "Mind waiting a little bit so we can just listen? You have to admit these two are pretty darn good."

"I don't know what is good and what is not, Saya..." Flutter murmured. Reluctantly, she gave in and nodded. "I will wait by the tree though... Okay? I don't want to stand anymore..."

"Okay..." He nodded, until he noticed an extra bench just nearby the crowd that people seemed to leave open. "Why don't you set on that bench? Then I can join you."

"I'll be okay." She smiled softly to her brother before walking off, trying to hide her face from anyone so that she wouldn't be noticed again- she had seen the boy look at her. It hadn't made her as easy as it would normally make anyone new to an area.

Dia watched the girl walk away she tipped her head again and she looked at her brother, "Tomorrow we have to perform at an assembly right?" she asked him. Jumping off the table she stretched her legs and looked at her brother waiting for an answer. She adjusted her hat so it covered her eyes blond/brown hair was tied up so a ponytail fell over her shoulder almost to her waist, untied it was past her waist.

"Yeah, we have to be there at seven, do you think one of the new students will be your roomate?" he asked his sister. Somehow his sisters eyes were a dark brown when his were a bright green. He wore mostly green and black, green sweatshirt, black pants, and green and black hair. He watched the girl walk away from the crowd and he frown slightly. turning he picked up his guitar and put it in his case. Zipping it up he slung it around his shoulder so it was resting on his back. "Lets go inside" he said.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips as Flutter stood up, letting out a soft breath before returning to stand with his brother. The music was over, so she could ask Sayaku to leave again. "Saya, can we-"

"Huh? Oh. Right. Yeah. Come with me real quick." He nodded to his sister and took her closer to the two that had been surrounded by the crowd. Uneasily, she hid slightly behind him, causing him to let out a sigh of slight frustration. "Hey- just felt like lettin' ya know you did a good job. Though I doubt you didn't know that, but... Eh. Felt a need to anyway, from on musician to another, y'know?"

He bowed his head slightly, holding a hand out. "The name's Sayaku Catane. The scaredy-cat there is my little sister Flute."

"Flutter..." The girl murmured. "It's Flutter."

"Yeah, yeah whatever." Sayaku laughed. "She doesn't like nicknames, but it's fun to annoy her."

Dia looked up as a boy and a frightened girl walked over, "Thanks, actually it wasnt that good" she said with a smile, her brother nudged her toward the door but she ignored him. "Your a musician too?" she asked her eyes glittering with sudden interest. "Im Dia Lynn Passon, or Dia whichever" she laughed. She looked at the girl, "Nice to meet you Sayaku and....Flutter" she smiled at the girl, "Its a pretty name, i like it"

Alex let out a sigh of impatience and looked at the boy, "Im Alex Passon" he told the boy and the girl. He looked at the girl again, and then shook her head, nah, she doesnt look like the one to go for someone with piercings he sighed again and looked at the boy, "So you guys just transferred huh?" he asked running a hand through his shaggy black and green hair.

Sayaku shook his head. "Nah, not really. Well, I'm not. Came here a few years ago but moved to stay with my sister. Flute's completely new though... She's new to the whole school thing in general." Dia and Alex... Why do I recognize those names? Huh... Probably my imagination. "And yeah... I'm a drummer. Learned how here, actually."

Flutter simply watched the three converse, murmuring a very weak greeting while hiding still. She smiled weakly, to both the boy and the girl- they seemed nice, but she wasn't going to just talk because of that. She wanted to wait until she was more comfortable.

"Sorry, Flute's pretty shy."

Dias eyes widened for a moment, "My best friend used to play drums here before he moved" she blurted and covered her mouth, "Sorry" she muttered looking down. She grabbed onto the chain on her skirt it had a big silver charm hanging from it. She looked over at her brother who looked bored beyond reason. "What dorm are you assigned to, cuz one of you might be my new roomate" she said with a smile.

Alex looked over at his sister a smile playing on his lips, "Smooth move sister" he told her. He smiled at flutter, "Well good luck, schools not that tough." then he remembered his lack of a roomate "One of you might be my roomate too, i dont have one" he shrugged. Pushing his sister to the door he stopped, "See ya guys around" Dia waved and they both disappeared into the school

"Ironically, my best friends when I was here used to sing and play guitar- though I was mostly close to the singer. But that's aside the point." Sayaku chuckled a bit, nodding as he waved to them. "Later." As he watched them leave, he took his sister's hand again and took her to the main office of the school to get their room assignments and the like.

Flutter, however, did not like her schedule, and it wasn't just because she couldn't read it. As Sayaku read it to her, she heard the first class was literature- the last thing she ever wanted to have at all. Luckily, the head of the school had put her in a class for people with disabilities and who had English as a second language, which in many cases she fit into. So, they'd help her learn how to read in the first place. Sayaku then read their rooms to her.

"I'm in room five-zero-four... And you're in room seven-two-six. Kay?"

"Okay. Can you tell me how we get there?"

"Sure. Just follow me." He began to lead them through the halls.

((sure! ha, lets do it by age, so dia will be with sayaku and alex with flutter?))

Dia and Alex found themselves sitting in front of the principles desk, well Alex was sitting but Dia was leaning against the wall. The principle was a chubby man who was balding and had a huge caterpillar like line of fuzz along is lip. When he spoke he spit slightly which is why Dia was standing against the wall. "So its settled, tomorrow you will be performing in front of the school in an assembly, yes? good we are looking forward to it, now go' he waved a pudgy hand signaling him to leave.

Dia was already to the door, she turned and waited for her brother, "I need to go to my dorm, see you at lunch ohkay?" she asked him.

"Yeah whatever" he said wiping the spit off of his face, "Now i see why you were standing against the wall" he said glaring at her.

"You know as well as i do he spits when he talks" she told him off-handedly, she turned and headed for dorm five-zero four, she opened the room with her key and wandered to her bed. The covers were black and red plaid. She flopped down onto it and sighed almost falling asleep.

Sayaku took Flutter to her room first, even though it was farther from the office than his own. Seeing the number seven-two-six, he quickly dug in his pocket for the key he'd taken for his sister, however soon jumped when he noticed his sister had the key already- she'd taken it, and he'd forgotten.

She carefully stuck the key in the lock, trying to turn it but failing. She was turning it the wrong way. As Sayaku helped her, he knocked on the door before pushing it open slightly.

"H-Hello?" She looked around, noticing no one was there yet. Sighing, she went and took a seat on an empty chair that was in the room.

"You think you'll be okay?"

"Yeah. See you later, big brother." She watched the door close and soon passed out in the chair, exhausted from her anxiety.

Sayaku walked up to his own room, room five-zero-four, and knocked on it before turning the key in the lock, pushing it open slowly. "Hello? It's your new roommate-" He stopped short when he saw a familiar face. "Oh... Looks like I already know my roommate. That's convenient." He chuckled, smiling slightly.

Dia sat up when someone suddenly walked into the room, "Wha-? oh! hi, so your my new roomate?" she asked laughing. "Whats your sisters dorm number cuz i might know who shes rooming with" if she was guessing right flutter would end up with her brother. She sat up in her bed and stretched yawning slightly her pointed fangs showing through her parted lips. She was reminded when her best friend roomed with her, it seemed so familiar.

Alex wandered to his dorm. Opening the door he almost fell over when he saw Flutter, "Flutter right? hi, i guess we are roomates?" he said walking the rest of the way in and sitting on the edge of his bed. Turning he put his guitar against the wall, not bothering to take it out and put it on its stand.

Sayaku nodded, closing the door behind him and sitting down on the secondary bed. "It's funny, this bed feels like it's the one I had when I was here last time. Either they changed the mattresses or I seriously have major deja-vu issues..." Chuckling slightly, he watched her yawn before responding to the question. "Room seven-two-six. No idea who her roommate is, but... it'd be funny if it was your brother. That'd be a pretty big coincidence."

Flutter said nothing- she'd heard nothing, so she had no reason to respond. She was out cold, sleeping on the chair as if it was nothing new. She stirred slightly, nearly falling out a couple times from anxiety in her sleep, but she generally managed. However, when her nightmare began, she woke herself up, looking around in a startled manner. "W-Wha? Where...?"

Alex jumped suddenly when she started looking around all crazy-like, "You okay?" he asked when the girl seemed to calm down slightly. "Its me, Alex from before? im your roomate" he told her softly not so he didnt scare her. He started humming while he waited for her to respond

"Actually, it is my brother" she laughed. She suddenly jumped, "Call me crazy but i think your the person who used to room with me. but that person moved and he said he probably wouldnt be returning, he said something about helping a sick sister or something" she said her eyes locked on him. Then she laughed, "I AM crazy, sorry i must be mistaken" she said in an offhand way.

"Er... Actually, I did say that..." Sayaku noted softly. When he suddenly realized that the deja-vu may have been understandable, he dug into his pocket for an old photo, holding it out to her. "It's a couple years old, but... Do you recognize this photo at all? It's a picture I took when I was still here before I went to stay with my uncle and my sister. We found out sis was just struggling with her genetics, so I ended up able to come back, but..."

Flutter nodded softly, understanding his words after a while of calming down. "Sorry- I didn't mean to doze off and scare you or anything... I-I get tired easily..." She looked down, staring at her lap again. He'd seen her sleeping? That wasn't good- she was always scared of such a thing, and yet it'd happened. She had to get her guard up soon if she was going to be able to feel comfortable enough again.

Dia looked at the photo and jumped back, it was her! "Er......it looks like me and my brother, he was young then and hadnt dyed his hair yet....." She trailed off and looked up at Sayaku her eyes wide. could this be him? it cant be! hes cute now! she thought looking down. "but what?" she asked him.

Alex shrugged, "its alright i understand." he told her. He tipped his head, "If you want me to leave you alone for a bit....er thats fine" he wanted to get to know the girl but she didnt seem to want to be near him. He leaned back and grabbed his guitar and pulled it out of the case and began to pluck the string in a soft melody his sister created for him.

"But nothing. I always say that when I feel like I have something else to say and can't remember it." He chuckled- some things really didn't change. "If it really is you and your brother, then it makes sense why this feels familiar." He nodded in agreement with himself. "Didn't expect to see you so... Pretty surprising in many ways, huh?"

Flutter, meanwhile, was shaking her head in response to Alex's words. "N-No, please don't feel such a need. I-I get nervous... A lot..." She looked at her lap still, her gaze set on her clasped hands. "I-It's nice... To meet you..."

He stopped playing for a moment and smiled at her, "Nice to meet you too, again" he chuckled and continued playing his melody, singing softly to it.

She stuck her tongue out at him, "Whats that suppose to mean?" she asked him. She felt an urge to hug him, she missed him when he left but she shook her head and gripped her covers so she didnt jump up. "So how have you been since you....left" she said looking up at him. She had untied her hair and it fell in waves framing her pale face.

"What's it sound like it's supposed to mean?" Sayaku laughed a bit in response. "I didn't expect to see you, so it's a surprise. A good surprise, but a surprise nonetheless." Smiling a bit, he added a response to the later question. "Eh. Sorta bored- okay, very bored, but you get the point." He laughed. "Flute practically lived in the hospital so it wasn't very fun. But... Not the end of the world, right?"

Flutter chuckled softly and smiled back, nodding a bit. Even though she hadn't gotten her guard back up, she wasn't as worried as she could've been about it. As she watched him, she would look down each often just to make it so she wasn't staring. He was good- she would definitely admit that.

Dia smiled and looked down, "Its nice to see you too" she said looking at her hands. She layed back on the bed, "The principle still spits when he talks" she laughed. She looked over at him when he talked about his sister, "Thats not a very good way to start ones immortal life" she said absently, "But shes out now so she will be able to live like, well, as normal as we can get" she finished smiling.

Alex looked over at her, "My sister wrote this for me when i was first changed, it was the only thing that could calm me down." he glanced at his guitar, "I made up the chords so i could play it when i was bored or lonley"

"Likewise." It was a single word, but it was plenty to get his general point across at the time. He didn't need too many words to say a simple little notice. Nodding to the girl near him, he smiled a bit still. "Yeah. She'll be happier this way in the long-run, I think. It'll just take time for her to adjust."

Flutter was listening carefully to each word- she couldn't quite understand what he meant, but she could get a general idea of it. "Then you are bored or lonely now? If that is the only reason you play it... Then it means you are now, right? Because you were playing it."

Alex looked at her with wide eyes then he chuckled softly, "No im not bored or lonely, but you seemed to be." he looked down then his face reddening. He bit his lower lip the metal rings clacking against his teeth. i...am...an...idot he thought.

Dia nodded and glanced at her fake roses sitting on her dresser she looked back and nodded, she hummed alittle of a song and then ended up singing softly to herself only to stop a few moments later, "Sorry its what i started doing when you left to past time when i was alone" she said looking down.

Flutter simply chuckled a bit, smiling to the boy without not really saying a word. Shaking her head to say that it wasn't the case, she looked at her lap again. "I wasn't bored or anything- I'm sorta used to doing nothing. Grew up in a hospital bed doing just that. And lonely? Heh, don't really know what that word really means or anythin'..."

"And you're apologizing why?" Sayaku laughed a bit, getting off his old bed and walking towards hers, patting her head playfully. "I've told you a million times in the past and I'll tell you again. You don't have to apologize for every little thing. Besides... You're a good singer. I'm glad I got to hear it, even if you didn't mean for me to." He smirked.
