Appearance: Face look at Lucer's outfit o.o

Life of thrill. Always on the run from them dep's. It certainly was the life any man could dream of. There was always women and beer and good times. Tavric Almer, known as Tav or Tavvy for short, was wanted in the whole continent. Looting along with murder was trailed in his name like stardust follows after a burning comet. He was a special case. Most wanted men had lackies, Tavric only had himself and his horse, who in rumor is said to be just as evil as his owner.

"Tavvy, Baby, why do you have to go so soon?" a nasaly voice emitted. A sweet blonde in a very revealing blue dress rubbed her hands over a man's chest. Her breasts were barely contained within the black corset, and her lips were overly large and adorned with too much makeup, like the rest of her face. She had herself wedged between the red heads legs and played with the buttons on his shirt. "We hadn't gotten to the good part!"

A soft smile cracked on the freckled face and the outlaw leaned forward, carressing her face. "Lyla, ya know I can't stay in one place for too long. I promise I'll be back, but after that big break I got, they're bound to send the whole cavalry after me." he said, his voice soft and sweet, not what you would expect out of a hardened killer. The woman groaned at his touch and got up, understanding. She couldn't resist his light teal eyes.

With all said and done, the outlaw hopped onto his horse and rode off with the morning sun.

---Chet Ralston Gunter---

Hooves digging and tearing at the ground, Chet gave his trusty steed a quick pat before gracefully sweeping over a wooden fence. The thundering boom that came from the horse's contact with the ground earned the powerful beast the name Sandstorm. Raping the land as he raced across the dessert, the horse's dust created a brown cloud of smoke the would loom over the earth for about an hour.

Still ridding on ever faster and still speeding up with an agility no other horse could dare match, the town's favorite deputy, Deputy Chet Ralston Gunter, rolled in. Slowing the horse down to a steady trot, Chet let his hands do all the work. Sliding seductively over his pistols, he nodded at the village folk.

Clicking his teeth, the man bounced from his horse. Boots making contact with the wood before him causes quite a smashing sound. Loud, but confident sounding, Chet let his shoulders roll back and his head lift up toward the sky.

Today was a new day for the 23-year-old deputy. After getting back from Ol' McGibbins' farm, the tired officer took refuge in the saloon across the way. With a beer now in his hand, Chet let out one of his deep laughs. "Well boys, here's to the sinners of the world. May they continue to wreck havoc and let this cowboy continue to kick the goddamn shit outta 'm!"

The sun slowly began to rise and the outlaw drew nearer to his hideout town. There was a midway point in between where he would change out of his typical clothes and put on a blond wig so he could blend in. His hideout was where all the high end dep's hung out. He felt it was the best place to hide, for they thought so highly of themselves they wouldn't think he'd have the balls to hide there.

He hummed softly as he put on the wig, and changed into dusty, typical clothes. He patted his horses neck, kissing the big cheeks. "Sweet magnum. Go ahead and rest here." he cooed softly, betting the blue roan. Magnum was his trusty get away, and his companion. The rumors were true about the horses wild personality, but when alone with her owner, she was sweet and gentle and couldn't even hurt a fly.

He locked her in her stall in a barn full of hay, but not enough for her to get sick on, and he pulled out a mule to ride into town. it didn't bring him any attention, which was exactly what he wanted.

Tav finally made it into town on his beat up donkey and put him up, then went into a saloon. He had taken some of his stolen money, and was going to use it to buy a drink. He walked in just in time to here the Deputy's speech. He snorted from behind his hat, and went to the bar, speaking in a fake but realistic stutter. "I wa-want the...the usu-usual.."

Sipping down another mug full of beer, the young deputy figured it was high tide he leave the place before he got himself into a load of trouble. Seeing that women loved him and he didn't love them (or not in the same way they would hope), the male decided it was best to pull himself from temptation.

Chet pushed back his wooden chair which against the wooden floor caused a screeching noise. Wincing from the painfully annoying sound, the male walked out the bar's door. He gave them all one last wave before disappearing outside the doors.

"Well hello there," Chet said as he walked past Tavvy. As he watched the young male walk into where he'd just come from, Chet figured he might as well turn back. After all, this young man was rather fine looking and did a spectacular job wetting Chet's wildly dirty imagination.

"This one shall be on me," Chet said placing his hand on the youngster's shoulder. "I do believe I've seen you before good sir, but I don't recall your name. I'm Chet, Chet Gunter." His hand extended out before the charming bandit. A grin was plastered all over the deputy's face as he awaited a name and a friendly return shake.

Ah, so he'd been spotted. Tav tipped his hat at him discreetly, then headed in. But to his luck, the painfully attractive blond followed him in, to get more of a talk with him. Lucky for him, Tavric wasn't the paranoid type. He didn't worry that he'd been caught until it was eminent that he had been discovered. The man just wanted to talk, to see him.

"Vay-Vayne." he replied, using his grandfather's name as his alias. He wasn't sure exactly why he let his real name be his bandit name, but that was how things had turned out, he supposed. "Th-thank you.." he said, speaking to the offer to buy the drink. He had the impression he was getting hit on, but he didn't let that assumption get to his head.

"You di-didn't have t-t-to..." The reason he spoke a speech impediment, was because people tended to not want to talk to him after hearing him talk like that, which kept away their suspicions. "I li-live here."

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you. And it's really nothing. I've bought'en drinks for everyone before. It's just how I am. I try to please the people. After all, there is nothing worse than a snobbish officer." Leaning back on the bar's stool, Chet yawned. "Boy o' boy, I'm a tired fella. I think it's time I get back to the station. Need a file some paperwork and then catch some shut eye."

"Now Chet, have you forgotten? You've no home. It was burnt to the ground. Ya need housin' today?" A female at a nearby table stood to seduce the officer. "Perhaps I could teach you a few things too... or maybe I'd let you play the bad cop." Winking, she lowered her hands to his belt.

"That's mighty kind of ya, but I think I'll stay at the station."

"Oh lordy no! Vayne. Why don't you stay with him?"

"Pardon?"

"He's a common man. Why not let him take care of you. You protect him from harm. It's time he pays you respect and let's you stay with him."

Stepping back, Chet shook his head. "Now I believe that would be called intruding. I will not go where I am not invited... unless it's some bastard thug group's hideout!" Raising a fist toward the ceiling, Chet laughed. "Well, until later my good townspeople."

Click. Click. Click. His boots scoffed across the floor as he made his way out of the bar once again. Although, with each step he took, he seemed to slow. He was waiting. Waiting to see if Vayne would actually take up the suggested offer.

So, he was just being polite. Tav could handle that. He sipped quietly at his beer, letting the man just talk and talk. He mentioned something about not wanting to seem snobby, but the more he talked, the more irritating he sounded. Then suddenly the woman rose, trying to seduce him into staying with her, and then somehow adding Tav into the equation. Just as she mentioned it, he turned to look at her, eyes widened, glittering with a hint of shock and disgust. Let a dep stay at his place? Hell no. He'd never set himself for that. And who did that woman think she is, setting a stranger up. Tav turned back to the bar, nope, he'd definitely not let the offer stand.

When he was certain that the deputy had left to his station, Tav nodded to the tender before standing and heading out. His own boots clicked against the dirty wooden floors. The place reeked of alcohol and drunken men. Tav wasn't much of a drinker, just one cup a day fit him good. He didn't need all of it. He had his money and his women, what else did he need?

His eyes turned upwards, letting the sun peek at his face, and he saw the back of the blond deputy, the man walking slower, as if he were expecting something. No. Not snobbish at all. "G-good luck, to ya, de-de-deputy." he hollered, then climbed aboard his stinking mule.

Already mounted on his horse, the deputy just waved from over his shoulder. Staying at the station was a royal pain in the ass, but at least it was a place to stay. As he swayed back and forth on his horse, Chet looked up at the burning sun before him. "It's a shame that my place was burned down like that. If I ever catch the thug that did it, oh I'll teach 'm a lesson."

Finally arriving at the station, Chet slid off his horse and walked up to the rundown building. "Christ, this place needs working." Rubbing his forehead with his now sweaty palms, Chet took a few large steps back. "Hey Pete, get my that hammer." Taking the hammer into his hands, Chet began to bang and pound on the old building. Patching it up here and there, he did about four hours worth of work in two hours.

Wiping the pool of sweat from his shinny forehead, Chet stumbled into the office. "Okay, I'm taking Sandstorm out for a quick patrol." He spat just before he mounted the large horse. "Let's go boy," he said with a quick pinch on the horse's stomach to get him going. "Easy boy, I'm still queasy from the reworking." With a slow and steady pace, Chet finally made it to the outskirts of town. "All right boy, let's head back. Everything looks clear here."

Just as they were about to turn back, Chet caught sight of what looked like a man. "Excuse me sir, but if you continue wandering out this way, you'll be killed by bandits. I suggest you turn around and head back into town. It's not wise to travel outside the fence at night."

Tav let the donkey walk without holding onto any reigns, arms stretched a little ways. The sun felt pleasant upon his skin. A smile cracked upon his freckled and dirtied face. It was hard, living two lives, but it was fun. Kept him occupied, kept him down the earth. It was his father's big rule about being a bandit. Always have a double life. You'll get lost in the craziness of murder and thievery if you don't. His other rule was have as many women as possible, and Tav chuckled at the memory.

Suddenly his donkey spooked, stopping dead in his tracks and clicking his teeth at Tav's boot, telling him there was something close. The bandit reached forward, rubbing his neck, then looked back. Was that deputy following him, or something? Sure was a persistent bugger.

"Thank you, s-sir." he said, looking back and waving to him. "But I l-live out here, a-an' I nev-nev-never had no trouble before." This blond deputy was really nosy, but he assumed it was his job. Exhausted, his donkey sunk to it's knees underneath the red head, and he soon found himself in the dirt. Well, that was great. His "faithful steed" had collapsed on the way home. Normally he'd wait till they were walking distance, but the sun just seemed to hot, even if it were going down.

"Well, that is one hell of an ass you got there," the deputy said walking up behind him. He was actually referring to Tav, but he knew the male would think he was talking about the donkey. So, to continue masking his sexuality, Chet handed Tavvy some water. "Here, this oughta perk the fella up."

He stepped back some and noticed how the mule looked rather old and worn. "Ahhh, are you sure you don't want me to bring you back home? If not, I could let you borrow Sandstorm. I have another horse I can ride into the setting sun with." He jumped off the horse and the burrs on the back of his boots clicked some as the collided with the rocky earth below them. "On second thoughts, how about I keep Sandstorm and you can borrow his gal Skye."

Pressing his lips together, a high-pitched whistling noise came out. Suddenly a silver colored horse with a flowing black mane trotted up beside them. "You be good, got it?" Holding the horse's nose in his hands, he blew the beast a kiss. "Keep her until you get yourself a better mule." Getting back on Sandstorm, he clicked his feet inward and started walking away.

Tavric looked back in time to get the water from him. They way he worded things were quite perverted, but he brushed it off at the deputy's personality, and not sexuality. He nodded his thanks to the blond man and walked around to his mule's head, pouring some water into his hand and putting it to his lips. "Come on, boy..." he whispered. He truly did care for the old man. The Mule's sire belonged to his father, and was his main horse. Growing up, Tav loved his father and that horse, so was more than happy to keep the half breed. The mule drank, but didn't get up. Tav sighed, a little frustrated, and took a swig from the water and stood, in time to see the man's offer come loping towards them.

"Pretty girl, ya got." he said, stepping forward. When it was evening and he was ready to go home, he didn't think about using the stutter. "You really don't have to..." He hated the idea of later having to owe the deputy. But it was getting late and Tav really wanted to get home, so he took the offer. He went back to his mule, getting him to stand up finally, and took the reigns before hopping up onto the pretty mare. "Again, thank you." he called, watching him ride away, and then doing the same.

Trotting back toward the station, Chet wrote down a few things here and there, monitored his books again, and then finally decided to call it quits. Looking up at the late night sky, he wondered what the up and coming day would be like for him. Would he have to deal with more bandits? Or would he finally get his much needed and well earned and overdue vacation?

★ ☁ ☁ ★

A light snorting nose caused the deputy to jump up from his chair. With his hat now on the floor and the chair smashed beside it, Chet moaned. "I don't think my behind can take much more abuse." Rolling out from the station, Chet figured it was just about noon. Dammit, I overslept.... Calling forth Sandstorm, the groggy officer mounted and began his typical midday patrol. Only this time, he would venture out farther, looking for trouble.

Sure enough, he walked right into trouble. Five thug cowboys were soon swarming around the young male. Alone and with only 36 rounds in his gun. Would that really be enough? Even with Sandstorm being the fastest horse around Chet knew there was no way his steed could surpass the speed of a bullet.

"Why don't you boys take your troubles elsewhere. I might have been looking for trouble, but I'm not about to fight a losing battle." With Sandstorm turning around as his reins instructed, Chet could feel the sickly sweet sweat perspiration from the other men around him. He could also feel the fear and dying desire to leave come off of his own skin. This fight, might just be his last.

Tav had made it back to his home safe and sound and tucked the mare away in his stables. "You won't come looking for me when I return you, will you girl?" he asked her, laying his chin on the door. He smiled as he watched her nibble away at the hay he laid out for her. Arms scooped over his head and back bent in different angles as Tav moaned. He was so tired and wanted to get the sleep.

when the morning sun arose, so did Tav. He adorned himself in his typical clothing, and prepared himself some breakfast. He didn't like to stay in one place for very long, and that even included his home. After placing a toast in his mouth, he wandered out to the barn and looked at the three animals he had there. His girl Magnum, the deputy's girl Skye, and his sick old mule. He smiled a pathetic smile and walked over to his stall. "Hey, baby boy.." he whispered softly, rubbing the mule's nose. He knew his time was coming, and that laid a hindrance to his plans of running off.

Taking a rope from his tack closet, he gently tucked it around the mule's neck and walked him out, moving him to a stall that was much cooler and had much more bedding. He cared about his animals and wanted his mule's last day to go smoothly. It came to be about noon and the mule hadn't passed yet, so he decided to head into town to get something to snack on. He took some of his money and headed out on Magnum, painting away at her hooves so they weren't recognizable, then headed off into town with the deputy's mare following along side.

Still riding around in circles, Chet considers his options. Run. Run and get shot. Talk yourself out of trouble. Talk and get shot. Offer them money. Oh wait, I don't have any on me. Call Skye and hope she'll cause a big enough diversion to allow me a rather risky flee. Oh, now that one sounds good. Playing his robotic left arm on his hat, he bobbed his head and let lose a high pitched whistle that only a horse could hear.

Skye, who was riding alongside Tav, came to an abrupt halt. Her ears spun around as she reared up so her front hooves now dangled over Tav. Snorting, she took off in the opposite direction. Her black mane whipping the wind as she pressed onward, the horse only looked back once to see if Tav's horse would follow. Whinnying, Skye made a desperate plead for the female horse to follow, but had a sinking feeling that she might return ownerless.

Her hooves dug even deeper into the red desert sand and caused an uproar of smoke as she continued to speed her way toward Chet. Once in eyesight, her ears went back and she let loose a wild snorting sound. Racing up toward them, Skye rammed into one of the men that surrounded Chet. Kicking out her hinds, Skye did her best to strike a man in the face. Missing, she recoiled forward and took off beside Sandstorm.

"That a girl," Chet said looking over his shoulder. With a barrel pointed at his head, he figured it would be best to take to high ground and then jump over the cliff to the city below. Risky, yes, but it was the only way he could actually live.

Drawing closer, he noticed a fresh trail of smoke heading off on the lower end of the cliff. Figuring he might run into a friendly outsider, Chet veered left and challenged his luck. As he moved forward Tav came into his view. "Get your head down!" He shouted moving a hand into the back of Tavvy's neck. An echoing round of bullets following. "Sorry I dragged you into this, but you're going to have to trust me. If we go into town, they'll slaughter everyone. I need help drawing them back to the outskirts. Please, you're the only one I can really count on right now. If you help, we'll reconvene at the water hole."

Dropping behind Tav, Chet pulled his horses even farther left. Now looping past the raiding bandits, he moved onward toward coyote territory. If he was lucky, there would be a hungry pack awaiting a good bloodbath. That and he hoped he could pick up her shotgun which he'd left there three days ago.

"Dammit!" This burst from Tav's lips as the mare beside him seemed to freak, then take off. He had half a mind to let her run, but then she stopped and looked back, as if beckoning them to follow. Magnum nickered at the running horse, and dug her hooves into the sand and took off. Tav lost his hat and his braid blew behind him as Magnum followed after the mare.

As they were coming into view, Tav could see men surrounding the blond, and he smirked. This could be his chance to kill the deputy and make him feel more at peace. "Well, what do we have here?" he asked himself quietly, seeing the fight break out. Then Chet came towards him. Aw, he was worried about him. A smirk broke onto his face as he touched his gun. But then, the thought struck him. If he killed Chet, then those other men would get into town. Tav needed that place to stay sane, so he groaned and followed after, clicking his tongue and digging his heels into his horses flanks and followed after Chet.

(Naw, I was trying to get him there, too, so it worked out ^^)

After riding for about two hours, Chet dared to look over his shoulder. "Th-they're gone?" His eyes scanned the horizon and verified that they were alone. "Hmmm, Skye, ride back and deliver this. I'm sure Daniel, Izzy, and Matt are back in from their ride to the city. Shay and Lillix are probably back too." His focus turned to Tav. "They are my fellow deputies. Oh and I bet Hunter is back, he's the sheriff."

Slapping Skye on the behind, he watched his horse race off. "So," he said sliding off Sandstorm "any ideas on how to get back without going through Razorblade Path or Coyote Canyon?" He exhaled and rested a wary hand on his sweaty forehead. "And did you happen to bring water with? Without it, we might not make it...."

"How can you trust me so easily?" he asked, cocking his head to the side. For all the deputy knew, he was a wanted murderer, and frankly, he was. He had his hat off so his face could be seen clearly, and he took off his dirty jacket, revealing his typical Tavric outfit. "Look, if it's just you and I, I can settle the problem you make." If this was his chance, he may as well take it.

"Whoa, why are you changing outfits?" Chet's gaze became more focused as his brows came together. "You know, I really can't figure you out. Just what are you trying to do?"

Taking a seat on the ground, Chet rested up against Sandstorm as he waited for Tavric to answer. He really is an odd man. "Oh, so Vayne, where are you originally from? Here? Or are you a new comer? I don't recall seeing your name on our census... but I've never really looked either." A light chuckle rolled off his tongue.

Tavric's blue eyes rolled as he slid off his mare, stroking her neck and letting her rest. "My name isn't Vayne." he said simply, and glanced over. "My real name is Tavric Almer, but the ladies call me Tavvy." He smiled when he mentioned women. He was really sad that he didn't get to sleep with the girl from the last town.

They were alone in the desert, so he didn't have to pretend to be a feeble stutterer. "Damn, it's hot. You wanted water, right?" He reached into the saddle bag at his horses rump and took out a can. "If you want it, you'll have to give me your gun."

"My gun? Now why would I do that? It's only got 36 rounds in it anyways. And no, I have water. I was just making sure you did." He pushed his hat back to look at Tavric. "So you're really not Vayne. Why lie to a deputy? Or..." his eyes narrowed "are you a wanted outlaw."

His lips curled upward as he revealed a demonic grin. But just as soon as the evil grin appeared, it vanished by a fit of laughter. "You're okay Tavvy, you're okay." His head went back to resting against his horse, but he did manage to keep an eye open just enough to keep a watch out on this Tav guy.

"Mm, one of the worst." He had to admit he was a little irked that he didn't know who he was, but he didn't let it show. He sat down in the sand. "So I know you won't try to shoot me. I'm worth a good amount." Tav looking up at the sun and it's position. "Only one of us is getting out of the desert alive, in my head. I want to play a game with you." He liked games.

The water went down his throat after he spoke, and he made kissing faces to his mare, who was rubbing her muzzle in his hair. He chuckled softly at her and turned his head away. "Think your boys can handle those ruffians?"

"Whoa, wait. Hold up?" Chet was now on his feet as he looked hesitantly at Tav. "You're an outlaw? Hmmm, sorry, but I haven't heard of you, although I tend not to hunt outlaws. That's the guys' job. So yes, they'll be fine. Me? Heh, we'll see...."

Chet walked up behind Tav and started stroking the mare's mane. "So what's her name? She's a lovely breed, too. I'm rather impressed. Where did you happen to find this gal?" His blonde hair blew some in the light wind that suddenly appeared from nowhere.

Turning his head to the clouds, Chet shuddered. "I sense a storm. We should get to higher ground and get a place to hide in. Outlaw or not, neither of us can survive a legit sandstorm."

Tav stood and looked over at him, then at Magnum and kissed her fuzzy round cheeks. "Her name is Magnum...My father gave her to me." he answered, then sighed and looked up. Sad to say, the deputy was right. "Those were some nasty fellows." he said softly, mounting his pretty roan. "If you think we should get going, then we should." He supposed they had to depend on each other.

"If we head that way, we can get back to the city in one piece. There's nothing much out there, and it's quite a ways, but you won't see any bandits or coyotes out that way. Nothing but heat and sand." He knew his way around, that was for certain.

"Oh joy. Heat and sand. My two favorite things. It's a good thing I have some eye candy to look at, otherwise I might go crazy." Brushing up past Tavric, he took in a good whiff. Oh, now he has a nice smell even if we're to die in this heat. Walking backwards to stand beside him, Chet spoke. "Well, since you're the bandit, I'll follow you. And since I'm not doing much, I guess I can keep up preoccupied with conversation. Now, where are you from? How old are you? Isn't your girlfriend worried about you being a bandit and all? Do you really travel alone? How much is your head worth? Why are you an infamous wanted criminal?"

Laughing, he looked at Tavvy. "If you wish to ignore me, you can." His blue eyes smiled at him as Chet grabbed Sandstorm's reins. "Co'mon boy."

Tavric's upper lip curled in a snarl as he came close, sniffing him. Was this blond a freak? "What do you mean "eye candy"?" he asked, irritated at being hit on, if that was what was going on. He didn't mind all the questions, but he didn't want to get chummy with the enemy. "No girlfriend, I'm twenty, and yes I travel alone. As to how much I am worth and why, I won't tell." He wasn't about to tell him his life story, either.

Magnum nickered again at the two other horses, disobeying Tav and walking closer to the other horses. She didn't really have a buddy back at home, and she had bonded with Skye that night by having her in the stall beside her. Tav groaned irritably as his leg was pushed against the other horses side. "Mag, please! Space!" he yelled. Magnum just turned her ear back at him and shook her head, dismissing him.
