Lateshia got out of her mothers limo on the side of the street. Her parents were rich but they didn't want student to know that they were. So Lateshia had to walk to school,"See you later mom." Lateshia said as she shut the limos door and began to walk. She wouldn't make it to the school grounds until another two or three blocks."Boy it's hot," Lateshia said as she wiped sweat from her head. The sun was bright and hot today.

A small boy with blue hair sat in front of the school. He lived right outside the school. Literally. He wasn't allowed to be there, but he didn't have any place to live. He had no money at all so he didn't actually attend the school he lived in front of. He only sat there because it seemed safe enough. In alleyways he usually found stray dogs with rabies that attacked him; here, it was just peaceful. He noticed that kids were starting to come in and quickly got to his feet, hurrying past the crowd of kids and sitting down in the grass outside of schoolgrounds.

Lateshia finally made it to school, when she seen a boy sit in the school ground grass and wandered where he had come from. "I haven't seen him before." Lateshia whispered before a group of girls came running to her telling her news about their boyfriends. Lateshia was a very popular girl at the school and could barely get quiet time. " Hey you guys, I'm gonna go and talk to my friend over there, I'll be right back... maybe." Lateshia said before she went over to the boy sitting in the grass."Hi, i'm Lateshia. nice to meet you."

The boy glanced up and brushed his blue bangs out of his face. "Um... h-hi... I-I-I'm Robin," He stammered, not used to talking to people. He gently stroked a blade of grass, making sure to avoid eye-contact with the girl next to him. Why was she talking to him? His clothes were all ragged and dirty, he was sitting all alone... didn't people usually make sure to stay away from kids like that?

"Hi Robin, nice to meet ya." Lateshia wanted to cover her nose because he smelt like he hadn't taken a bath in days, but she didn't want to be rude. "So, um I haven't seen you around here before and I know your not mew. Because I met all the new boys already," Lateshia sat back in the grass,"What class do you have first?"

Robins glanced toward Lateshia, confused. Then he realized that she thought he was going to school. "Oh, n-n-no, I d-d-don't g-go to school h-here," He explained quietly. He turned his attention towards the grass again, poking an ant as it crawled past.

Lateshia sat up from her spot, "What? Why?" Lateshia didn't understand why anyone didn't go to school.

"B-b-because I have n-no m-m-money..." Robin plucked a blade of grass out of the soil and poked the front of the ant with it. The ant backed away and scurried off, dissapearing into the grass.

Lateshia watched as he played with the innocent ant. Then she looked at him for a while, "You, can Live with me and I will help you go to school." Lateshia offered the boy.

"W-what? R-r-really?" Robin's head snapped up and he stared at the girl next to him, hope sparkling in his eyes.

"Yeah, really."Lateshia got up and held her hand out for him to take."Come on I'll go ask my parents now." Lateshia paused and smiled,"I'll go and buy you something to eat first, though. Come on let's go."

Robin gratefully took Lateshia's hand and pulled himself to his feet. "You're going to skip school? For me?" He stared at her, awed.

Lateshia shrugged , then looked at the school behind them."Yeah, I'm sure." Lateshia took his hand and started to walk off, while still holding it. "So what do you like to eat?"

"Um..." Robin stared up at the sky thoughtfully as they walked. "I-I dunno. You can choose." His stammering was starting to subside as he became happier about the fact that he was going to have a place to live. And a meal! He almost drooled at the thought.

Lateshia stopped and looked Robin in the eyes,"How about Subway or Pizza Hut?"

Robin tilted his head to the side. "Sounds good to me," He agreed, not wanting to pick from the two since they both sounded good.

Lateshia smiled,"Well Sub way is the closet so we'll go there." She turned around and began to walk again. "So, Robin, I hoped you don't mind me asking but how long have you been on the streets?" Lateshia wasn't going to tell the whole world or anything but she just wanted to know.

Robin became lost in thought for a moment before admitting, "About a month."

"Ok, but how did you get on the streets?" Lateshia stopped once more again and look Robin in the eyes."My parents are coming to want to know this and I can't lie to them." Lateshia put her head on his cheek and stared at him with puppy eyes,"Please tell me."

"U-uh..." Robin tapped his fingers nervously against each other. "Y-you see... M-m-my house burnt down... A-and I was the only one able to get out alive... I had no money either. And I can't access my parent's bank account... B-because... e-everyone thought I died too..."

"Oh, so your supposed to be "dead"." Lateshia stud there and thought for a while,"Well I guess we'll make you a new identity. Or bring you back to life, presay." Lateshia began to walk off again."I hope you like dogs, because I have two of them."

"Okay." Robin nodded. "I can't tell you my last name anyways... Oh, and I love dogs, by the way," He added happily.

Lateshia looked at him with concerning eyes," What did you forget it?"
