"Aaah, grandfather! I love it! It's so beautiful, where did you get it?" Hysuna yelped,
twirling around with her fingers clutching onto a brand-new, bright turquoise hanbok. It was a colour only Hysuna could love so much.

Grandpa Jeon smiled gently at his granddaughter, while folding the silky wrapping that the hanbok had been purchased in.
"I bought it outside of Ailiseu Village. They're famous for their dyes and fabrics, y'know."

Hysuna plopped down onto a bamboo stool, staring at the intricate plum blossoms embroidered into the hem of the chima skirt.
"I never knew that, grandpa. But I suppose I'll have to visit it, now..." Setting down the outfit, Hysuna knelt down and pulled out a small wooden box from under her bookshelf.

Upon opening it up, she started to fiddle with small paper tags, some blank and some with colourful characters painted on them.
"I'll add it to my list." Hysuna giggled, pulling out a small calligraphy brush to write with.

"Ail..iseu..Village." The teen girl nodded her head, happy with the end result of this location tag.
"You're just like your father, Hysuna. Always a traveller."
Hysuna sighed, tucking the box back into the shelf. "Grandpa, I always make these tags, but I doubt I'll ever have enough money to travel to them all in this lifetime."

Grandpa Jeon chuckled, his moustache twitching slightly. "Then you'll have to make sure you visit all the ones you missed, in Heaven."
He joined his granddaughter by the shelf, giving her a gentle, loving hug.
"Happy birthday, Hysuna. May you outlive the trees of Haneul."

Hysuna smiled at her grandfather, before he got up to leave for home, in the quieter parts of the town.
Sitting in her room alone, with the beautiful hanbok, Hysuna started thinking.

"I shouldn't be so hard on myself. If I can be blessed with such a grandfather in my life, I'm sure as hell I can travel all through the land. I'll just have to work hard."

Stretching her arms, Hysuna folded the turquoise outfit into a neat bundle.
She had duties to perform tomorrow at the family business. The Gughwa Noodle Shop.

Dangun Wanggeom could have pulled out his vivid, garnet hair. He could not believe it--no, it was not possible! His parents, gah, how dare they?! Just because his father, Hwanung, has desired to live on the earth during his youth did not mean that Dangun wanted the same! Dangun had been happy up there, in Heaven... Chasing the skirts of goddesses, spending idle hours with his calligraphy... Practicing the art of the sword. But never, despite the fervent pleas of Hwanung and his wife Ungnyeo, had their son ever, ever wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and come down the earth to teach the mortals the ways of the gods and rule over them as an emperor... Or whatever it was they wanted. He simply did not care!

The man stood, his legs shaky, as he tried to step forward in his human body. It felt significantly weaker and more pathetic than his divine form. He appeared more or less the same, although his vibrant robes had been toned down...Less luxurious and extravagant to dissuade potential bandits from stealing the cloth off his back. And at least the man still possessed his sword upon his person, hidden underneath the various layers.

He scowled at the grass under his feet, observing a tiny insect crawling along a blade of it. Dangun had the sudden urge to smite it, in his fury, but he desisted. It was not the beetle's fault that this had happened. But it was the humans' fault. And Dangun could not shake the feeling that, unless he opted to do something for the mortals, he would never be able to return to Heaven and be a god again.

The young man started to walk, albeit reluctantly, and found his way onto a path. He passed several commoners, in simple and plain garb, accosting one of them to ask for directions. They pointed him down another dusty road that led to some village down the way, where he could attain food and shelter for the night. Then Dangun would have to figure out just what in Heaven's name he had to do. It was hardly easy. He could not just march up to anyone and say, "Oh, by the way, I'm Hwanung's son. I'm actually a god, but he sent me down to all of you to teach you and rule you and treat you like my beloved children."

That was completely absurd, no one would buy it! Dangun assumed he still had a portion of his powers, because his father would not leave him there completely helpless and utterly, physically human. After all, his hair was still... Really strange... And many of the dark-haired people he passed by gave him a look as though he were a foreigner or freak of nature because of it.

Finally, Dangun paused, his stomach gurgling loudly. He felt a pang of hunger and he clutched at his middle with another groan. He knew nothing about mortal food! What was he supposed to eat? The man glanced up, to the nearest building, and frowned. His eyes scanned the sign quickly. The Gughwa Noodle Shop. What were 'noodles'...? The god shrugged his shoulders, to no one in particular. Hopefully they were some variety of human foodstuffs. He pressed the palm of his hand to the door, opening it and stepping into the establishment. He had nothing further to lose.

'Two orders of pork noodles, with one serving of kimchi, Hysuna!'
The kitchen at the Gughwa Noodle Shop was hectic on such a busy market day.
Everyone stopped by when the merchants had recommended this place to their patrons. It was both a blessing, and a curse.
Hysuna wiped the glow of sweat from her forehead, before continuing to stir pot after pot of steaming noodles and water.

'Got the kimchi, where's that pork? Ga-Jin? Wake up and pass me the pork! My dad'll have a fit!'
The younger woman, Ga-Jin stirred out of a daze. She was standing at the edge of the doorway into the kitchen, staring out into the small, but dense crowd.
'Ga-Jin?!' Hysuna squawked, looking over her shoulder for the girl.

'Hysuna, come here. Look at this guy...' stopping her work, she walked over to Ga-Jin's side, trying to see
what was so important.
'What are you loo- Wow..' Hysuna froze halfway, suddenly realizing who her friend was gawking at.

A strange man with hair the colour of fire walked into the noodle shop. He looked slightly confused at the crowd, and all the food on the tables.
'What the hell is with his hair?' Hysuna whispered, staring at the man's jewel-toned mane. 'He can't be from around here. No-one has that colour in Korea... do they?'

'I don't think so...' Ga-Jin shook her head, before walking back to the pork station.
The man didn't look overly dangerous, just creepy. So Hysuna rushed back to her almost overcooked noodle, stirring and preparing once again.

She glanced through the serving station in front of her, to see if the man was still there. He was.
'Father, any idea who that might be?' Hysuna asked, waiting for a quick response from her overworked dad.
'Not a clue. He's definitely not from here, though.' was his reply, short and sweet. Just like Hysuna predicted.

Dangun watched people coming and going into the noodle shop, awkwardly standing in the center of the action, and (most likely) in the way. He would occasionally glance over to a table, covered in plates--bowls, specifically-- of what appeared to be soups, meats, and vegetables... And these thing, long, slimy things that he had never seen before. The rest of the concoction look appetizing enough, but the noodles.... He assumed that was the name of those horrendous things.

Dangun grimaced. After a second, he noticed two girls looking at him from across the room, whispering to each other frantically with wide eyes. Oh, Heaven, it was his hair, wasn't it? Dangun's hand flew up self-consciously to his garnet mane, some locks of it braided and tied at the bottoms. He cursed under his breath, finally shuffling to the side out of the way from someone trying to get an order to a table.

The god's stomach growled again, this time with more fervor than before. It was so very painful, like he had not eaten for days. The man's face twisted as he observed the host of mortals eating and chattering happily around him, and finally... Dangun could stand it no more. His gaze fixed on what appeared to be the serving station on the opposite end of the chamber, his similarly-colored brows furrowing, and marching towards it with a sense of purpose. He took on a lofty, proud disposition, his back straight and his movements graceful, relaxing his facial features into those of nonchalance and confidence.

One of the girls from before, and a man, stood near the station and Dangun addressed them, knotting one of his fingers in the cord tied around his waist and gazing down at them over the bridge of his nose. The god was rather tall for a human. His voice was deep, but melodic. "Good afternoon," he began, arching one brow ever so slightly. "I would like a table, if you would be so kind. I am quite famished, and have been traveling all day."

The man's reddish eyes flickered to the face of the girl, whom he noted, while plain and ordinary, had a prettiness about her. Perhaps it was the shape of her face, and some loose tendrils of dark hair spilling around the sides of it, come lose from her do through working. Dangun returned his gaze to the man, instead, not allowing his attention to linger on her for long.

Mr. Goyohan was a little shocked that the man had actually asked for a table. He looked too rich to be hungry.
'Uh-er, uhm. Sure, just follow me.' he said, shaking his head to rid himself of the sudden stutter.

Walking towards an empty table near a window, Mr. Goyohan waved the man to sit down.
'Please, make yourself comfortable, and allow me to tell you our specials today...'
Listing off the various noodles and vegetable combinations, he didn't notice his daughter trying to catch another sneak peek at the strange man with the fiery hair.

'Ga-Jin, I think you should go ask him where he's from. I'm too busy, and I know you've been gawking at him.'
Ga-Jin blushed slightly, before turning her back to chop up some cabbage. 'No way, Hysuna. He's cute, but he looks way too old. I wouldn't be surprised if he was vacationing with his wife.'
'True, I suppose.' Hysuna shrugged, passing a bowl of strong-smelling kimchi through the serving window.

'..And then finally, we have my daughter's specialty - Pork noodles with spicy soup.'
Mr. Goyohan smiled at the mysterious customer, arms crossed before him.
Hysuna's father was a proud man, with a tall build, and jet black hair, tied back into a short ponytail.

And when it came to noodles, no-one knew better.

((Omg, your post made me so hungry... *q* ))

Dangun seated himself, tucking his hands into each opposite sleeve as the (assumed) owner of the establishment rattled off the choices. While the man did not seem to notice the girl, Dangun did, and she was quite obviously trying to get another look at him. The god gazed almost directly past her father as he half-listened to what was being said. Of course, at this angle, it looked as though he were looking the man in the eye as he was supposed to. Both other parties would be deceived. Gods had spectacular vision, and Dangun was hardly exempt from this.

He could watch what people were doing on the opposite ends of the space. He could read the Hangul everywhere, even on small pieces of rice paper that people were passing back and forth amongst each other. He could also hear most conversation in the vicinity, if her tuned his attention to it. If he truly wanted to know what the girls were saying... Well, he only had to listen. But, the man standing across from him was waiting for him to answer about what sort of food he wanted.

Dangun examined the man's face, not altogether sure what to have. None of it sounded familiar to him, but... He would have to learn eventually. Only his father in Heaven knew how much longer he would have to stay on this dreadful hunk of dirt. But, something did catch his interest, towards the end. Pork noodles and spicy soup. Dangun liked spicy things a great deal. And besides, it was the daughter's specialty. He could only guess that the girl he'd noticed earlier, and then staring at him after he left, was the daughter. So, he was curious about her culinary talents.

"I will have the pork noodles and spicy soup," Dangun announced, fumbling around the folds of his robes for the coin purse he carried with him. "What sort of money do you take here, sir? I've been to many places, and it changes from region to region." The god could have grinned. He was an excellent liar.

'Excellent decision, sir!' Mr. Goyohan bowed quickly, before examining the coins that the man was offering him.
'We take won, only.' He smiled, before turning his attention to Hysuna's kitchen.
'Hysuna, one bowl of pork noodles! Add some plum wine to the side, this man looks famished!'

'Yes, dad!' Hysuna playfully saluted her father through the decorated window, before bending down over the pots and pans,
stirring and chopping the fresh ingredients.

'It'll be about two minutes, sir. Hysuna's very fast in the kitchen.' Mr. Goyohan bowed one final time, and then made his way over to other tables, taking money and waving goodbye.
He was a busy man, but he loved the restaurant dearly, and made sure customer service was the number one priority, next to the food, of course.

'Pork noodles are up!'
Hysuna slid the china bowl onto the bamboo counter, inhaling the steam as she went. She loved the aromas of her dad's shop.

A server quickly picked up the dish, and set it down in front of the red haired man.
'Enjoy!' the young woman chimed, while pouring plum wine into the cup next the meal.

Won? Dangun frowned and glanced down at the coins in his hand. Well, now was a good time as ever to find out if he had some of his powers still left over. The god peered over at an opposite table, where other customers were paying a server. He examined the details on the coins, sealing the picture of them in his mind, and then focusing on the money in his hand. When the chef looked away, and left Dangun alone at the table, he squeezed the coins between his hand tightly. He slowly unclenched his fist, and was relieved to find that the coins had indeed transformed to be completely identical to the real thing. Good, now he would not be expected to clean dishes to pay for his dinner.

The god slapped a large amount of these coins onto the edge of the table, graciously accepting the bowl from the waitress and lifting it to his nostrils. The scent wafted up to him, and caused another fit of ravenous gurgling inside his stomach. Dangun winced, hoping that no one had heard the embarrassing sound. He set the bowl down on the table in front of him, pushing up his long sleeves. Or rather, he snapped them back to his elbows on one swift motion--a quick jerk of his arms--and lifted a pair of chopsticks from his side. The man's forehead wrinkled as he grasped a clump of... "noodles"...From his bowl and pulled them up, dangling them over the item and examining them as though they were the strangest things he had ever seen. Anyone watching him would surely be amused.

Then, deciding to be daring after all, he stuffed the clump of them into his open mouth and slurped them up messily. It tasted fine, as far as he could tell. So Dangun lifted the bowl up to his mouth with his free hand and began scooped its contents inside. He had to pause a few times to avoid choking. The broth was indeed spicy, as advertised, but not nearly as bad as what he was used to eating on a daily basis in Heaven.

The man doused the meal down with the last of the plum wine, finishing in record time. And after that, he slammed the empty glass down on the table surface with a clang. "Ahhhh, excellent," he reveled. "That was very good. My compliments to the chef!" Dangun stood up, again regarding the coins on the table which he assumed were far more than enough to pay for his food, and moved towards the kitchen. He would congratulate the girl's performance personally! The god was odd in that way--far too appreciative of menial things.

Tying her hair back for about the fifth time today, Hysuna grabbed a pot and started filling it with cabbage and chunks of beef, unaware of the man who was approaching her steamy, vegetable strewn sanctuary.
'Jincheong, grab that bowl for me, woud'ja?' she nodded her head towards an older man with full head of brown hair, and then to a worn out bamboo bowl. Hysuna's favorite piece of kitchenware.

'Hysuna, seriously. Get rid of that old thing, it's starting to turn dark brown on the bottom from all the soy and broth!' whined
Ga-Jin, who was once again, chopping pork pieces.
'No way, Ga-Jin, it's just from being seasoned, that's all. It's perfectly fine.' Hysuna curtly nodded her head, protective of her old bowl.
'It was my mother's when she was still around to cook, so now it's mine. I won't EVER get rid of it.'

'Fine, suit yourself. Don't complain to me when it wears through, though.' Ga-Jin giggled mockingly, grabbing a basket of carrots to take out back.
Hysuna smiled back, and then went back to cooking.

Dangun came to a pair of wooden doors, separating the kitchen from the entirety of the restaurant. He paused at them, wondering if it would be appropriate for him to go inside after all, or if the area had been set aside for strictly employees. But surely, with his wealthy garments and appearance, he would be considered a noble of some sort, and it was not unheard of for nobles to bestow accolades on such places, complimenting on their hard work and skill? The god shrugged to no one in particular, pushing open one of the doors and yelped, stepping to the side as he narrowly avoided a man carrying a basket of carrots out the doors.

After dodging that potential fiasco, Dangun moved into the kitchen, his red eyes locking on female in question and bee-lining straight for her with the friendliest of smiles. He must have appeared very odd, in his colorful raiment and long, bizarre hair. But really, he only had amiable intentions for the maiden. He wanted to commend her for her excellent soup and prowess in the kitchen, a fine skill for any young wife to have.

"Good afternoon," Dangun called to her as he approached, stopping just in front of her as she worked...A silly grin fixed on his face. He suddenly felt very out of place amongst the pans and vegetables and whatnot. "You are the girl who concocted my dinner tonight, correct? I simply had to come and praise you, my dear, as your soup...The spicy pork noodles.. It was marvelous."

Not paying any attention to the red-haired man looming over her, Hysuna simply nodded her head continued on with her job.
'Thank you, sir. I'm glad you enjoyed them. I think my father would be pleased if you talked to him. I'm simply the chef. He's the one that made the recipe for me when I was but a child on my mother's lap.'

Surprised at her sudden gushing from the past, Hysuna quickly dashed over to a nearby counter, blushing in front of the stranger. Everyone else in the kitchen were still working as well, although they took the time to glance and whisper about the man in the middle of this busy spot.

Ga-Jin burst through the back doors, carrying the once full carrot basket.
Suddenly, she froze in place. 'Hysuna, why is this man back here?'

Hysuna decided to look behind her for once, and was taken aback by the man who had complimented her cooking.
Blushing even more, she bowed quickly, and went out to the back garden to pick more veggies.

'You'll have to excuse her. She's a little modest for compliments. No matter who they're from.' Ga-Jin crossed her arms, nodded her head, and then went back to work, taking over where Hysuna had left.

Dangun was mostly pleased with the reception of his compliment, if not a little put-off by the fact the woman did not have the decency to look at him when he addressed her. Still, it was better than nothing, he supposed. "Maybe I shall tell your father, if he created the recipe. However, you are the one who brought it to life, so I could hardly find fault in crediting you for a job well-done." The girl appeared embarrassed by the information that had slipped from her mouth, however, and moved to a different counter. The god was a bit baffled by her behavior. Of course, it was not nearly as surprising as what happened next.

Another woman came in, holding the basket from before. When she remarked on the stranger's presence, the daughter... Whom she called 'Hysuna'... Whirled around and actually 'looked' at Dangun. Her face turned immediately crimson, almost the shade of his strange hair, and bowed. The girl fled from the chamber, leaving a very befuddled god in her wake. "Buh-But... Uhh... Mi--? Mmm..." The man stuttered, unable to hold a coherent thought, and held a hand out after her as if it could somehow stop her from leaving. But the action was to no avail, for the woman had not even seen the gesture and had simply departed to the gardens without another word. How odd...

Dangun went rigid from the other woman's comment, glaring at her back as if she'd insulted him. Modest with compliments?! Why, the girl had been most genial to him before she saw who he was, and then she merely ran away! That was hardly polite behavior, especially for a mortal in the presence of--Dangun gently reminded himself, inwardly, that no one knew his true identity. He could not help feeling indignant, however, and made this known to the woman working at the place that Hysuna had evacuated.

"Miss, I am well-aware of the fact that you two were observing me in the restaurant earlier, whispering and gossiping as women do. And I am fairly certain it was due to my foreign appearance. I'll have you know that Miss Hysuna had been speaking quite politely to me before she saw me. Then you came in and she got a good look at who it was she was conversing with. Alas, she has fled. I am wounded that 'you people' would judge a man based on something so shallow as the color of his hair. Good day to you."

The god glowered noticeably, turning swiftly from the maiden and storming from the kitchen. Humans were horrible beings! Why should he help them?

Ga-Jin was shellshocked. 'Now, who do you think you are?! Hysuna simply doesn't like being in close quarters with men - especially in her kitchen!' The younger woman was livid, as her best friend was simply shy at first. She may be sarcastic, but she wasn't used to compliments. They were usually from her father and grandfather.

She stormed towards the kitchen doors, pushing the wooden flaps aggressively, but not enough to stir up attention.
Ga-Jin rushed over to the man's side, before grasping his sleeve.
'I don't know WHO you are, but if you think you can talk to people like that - Especially in THIS village...'

Ga-Jin paused, staring at the man's eyes, intent on making him feel sorry for his behaviour.
'...Then you've gotta change your attitude, or get the hell outta this town!'

Satisfied with her confrontation, Ga-Jin turned around, grabbed her fallen basket, and continued back into the kitchen.

Hysuna, however, was still out in the garden, calming down from her embarrassing encounter.
'Why would I spill my guts like that? Especially to such an odd stranger!' she mumbled, yanking out beets and turnips with her basket-less hand.
'And what was with the compliment? I know my noodles are good, but I never get compliments about it... I judt didn't know what to do...'

Sighing, Hysuna dragged a few more root vegetables out of the garden plot, before turning back to the wooden screen that separated her from the noisy kitchen.

The god was appalled by the woman's audacity and rebuttal. She was the one who insulted him! They were the ones gawking at him, all of them, every single human in the Korean area looked as though he were--Ggghh! Dangun watched the girl bustle back to the kitchen after being so forward as to grab his sleeve and glare straight into his eyes, as if somehow he would feel guilty about his previous statement. Hypocrites, all of them! It took every ounce of Dangun's self restraint not to topple the nearest table over with his inhuman strength and then frighten everyone out of the shop with a bellow of rage. However, that was decidedly not the best course of an action for an under-cover god to take, so he set his jaw squarely and marched out of the building without looking back.

How could his father do this to him? Dangun knew next to nothing about humans. They never worshiped him. He never dealt with them. He'd been too young a god to be assigned to a particular specialty such as rain... Or mountain god... Or anything remotely close to that. He was only four centuries old, after all! Hardly a man! He growled and kicked a stone at a tree, where it impacted the trunk and bit a large chunk of wood out of it. It demonstrated the god's strength, even in mortal flesh. "I should be... I should be..." He clenched his fists, arms shaking and squeezing his eyes shut. Bah!

Dangun turned and walked past the noodle shop, though he hesitated in front of the gardens, watching the girl who had fled from him for a moment. She was vigorously yanking root vegetables from the ground and muttering to herself. He thought to perhaps listen to what she was saying, from the noises being carried to him by the winds. But the man resolved not to. He'd already disturbed enough humans today with his presence. Feeling more alone than ever, with no friends to comfort him, the god averted his gaze and started to shuffle away.

Hysuna had worked all day, and decided it was finally time to call it quits.
The shop was starting to slow down, traffic-wise, so her father let her go for a break.

'Hysuna, wait up!' Ga-Jin cried out, as the young woman started dashing down the street, towards the center of town.
Ga-Jin finally reached Hysuna's side, where she smoothed out her hanbok, all ruffled up from running.
The two of them walked in silence, after Hysuna nodded to her friend. They both knew where their destination was - Cheongju Bar. A local watering hole where everyone from the area went to relax after a long day's work.

The bar was a medium building, with lanterns strung up from roof to tree. It was a quaint, colourful spot, where you could settle down with a cup of soju, or rent a comfortable room for the night.
The owner, Kim-Song, was a younger woman as well. She inherited the bar from her parents, who now lived in a northern town.
'Evening, girls. Want the usual?' Kim smiled warmly, popping her head out from behind the storage room screens.

'Agh, yes please, Kim. Today's been intense.' Hysuna sighed, plopping herself down onto a puffy cushion by a polished wooden table. 'Kim, did you see a strange man today?' Ga-Jin smirked, as the woman served their soju in polished china cups.

'No.. I don't think so. Define 'strange' for me.' Kim stood with her hand on her hip, the other occupied by a wooden tray.
Hysuna flailed ever so slightly, trying to get the memory of that creepy man out of her mind.

'Red hair, tall, he's handsome, but a bit of a snob.' Ga-Jin held her hand to her cheek, trying to describe the stranger.
'Anyways, be on the lookout. He's quite rude to staff, from what I've experienced.' Ga-Jin sipped some of her cool drink, while Hysuna gulped hers down. What an embarrassing moment.

'No, I don't recall, but I'll keep an eye out. Thanks girls.' Kim tapped her temple, as to show she would remember his appearance, before wandering off to the storage room again, tray in hand.

(( Dangun is crying in a corner because he was just insulted several times in your post. XD *pats the emo god* ))

Dangun had been sulking under the tree for the majority of the evening, glaring at an ant crawling across the floor. Like earlier with the beetle, it was hardly the ant's fault that things were not going his way. But the ant seemed to be laughing at him. It was crawling along so slowly on that fragment of dirt. Dangun punched his fist into the ground beside it, knocking debris up around him, which eventually settled back down around the crater he'd created. He snorted and turned away from the bug, curling up against the tree and staring off to the horizon line.

The sun was slowly sinking in the west, marking the end of the day. While he was more than capable of sleeping outside among nature without consequence, the god was used to luxury. Back in Heaven he had a huge bedroom suite, complete with a lounging room and bathing chamber. He had one of those Asian, box beds... Carved intricately with cloud and tree designs. The blankets were silky and soft... It was shrouded in thin, gauzy curtains... Dangun's eyelids started to droop and he shook his head frantically to rouse himself. He needed to find an inn soon, before he fell asleep!

The god reached into his coin purse and converted some more coins to the appropriate kind used in the region, and then stood up. He stumbled again, still not used to the weight he felt standing on earth. It was though the place pulled him magnetically downwards, anchoring him against the ground. He could not just float around like he enjoyed to do in Heaven.

"I can't even shapeshift into a bird," he muttered crossly, and started walking towards town again. There had to be an inn somewhere. Hopefully word had not spread about his presence in the small town. That idiot mortal had a huge mouth and would probably tell everyone how impolite he was... Stupid girl. He'd only wanted to compliment her friend.

Ga-Jin giggled as the girls started to make their way to the sliding doors of the inn. 'Hysuna, we should do something tomorrow! It's our day off, and last time, you had to help your father redecorate the restaurant.'
Hysuna shrugged, and then replied to her friend, who was a little tipsy. Hysuna didn't drink as much, but Ga-Jin had a habit of
drinking a little too much. Not enough to hurt anyone, or herself. But just enough to start the giggles.

'You're right. I like helping my dad, but it's time we went on a little trip.' She tapped her chin in thought, and then her eyes widened with excitement. 'Ga-Jin, let's go out to the Moon Pool!'

'The Moon Pool? Hysuna, we haven't been there since we were kids. Do you even remember the way?'
Ga-Jin seemed skeptical of her friend's memory, but decided to listen anyways.
'I do. It's past that little teahouse on the way to Hanweoul Village...' She paused, and then another bubble of excitement came over her. '...We should have a picnic, just like we did when we were kids!'

This brought another wave of giggles from Ga-Jin. 'I agree! This'll be like our childhood all over again!'
After being settled by a handshake, mockingly close to one used by diplomats, the two young women had their plan.

Walking along the road towards Hysuna's house, they began talking once again, oblivious to everyone around them at this time of night.
Without warning, Ga-Jin bumped into a figure walking towards the center of town.
'Wha, who, whe- I'm sorry, mister!' the young woman bowed apologetically, before rushing off with Hysuna, who was still trying to see who the man was.

Curses! Dangun just had to run into the same pair of mortals again, didn't he? It was the rude girl from before, seemingly a bit intoxicated. And the girl he'd tried very hard to compliment, who'd fled from his presence into the garden just to avoid speaking with him. Instead of saying anything directed at them, in the dim lighting, Dangun just glared at the girls. He began to mutter quickly to himself, under his breath, not really caring who heard him. It started out as a hypothetical question, followed by several complaints. Eventually it had turned into a fully-fledged rant that increased in volume until the god was speaking so loudly that anyone in his immediate vicinity could hear him. He was having a divine temper tantrum!

"Why am I even here? Nothing is going right. Everyone hates me, I hate them. I miss my house and my bed and all the women who used to dote on me, my calligraphy, and my sword instructor. Earth is horrible, I hate it, even the bugs are laughing at me, I can't fly, my hair is unusual. These clothes are too extravagant. Even money doesn't make me less of a laughing stock. Father, when I get back to Heaven, I am going to give you a sound thrashing! And then you will hand over my inheritance and abdicate your throne to me so I can change your idiotic rules to make sure that no god ever has to go to Earth again unless he wants to!"

He finished up the rant by punching a fist into the air, pointing a finger at the sky as if he were talking to some invisible person perched on a cloud that no one else could see. When Dangun finally realized what he was doing and that he had done it in front of people, he appeared extremely flustered, apologizing repeatedly and fleeing from the scene. He needed to find the inn, or he was going to lose his mind!

The man only ended up going in circles, however, returning to the exact same spot as he had before, because he had no idea where he was. The man cleared his throat, seemingly embarrassed, and stood there with his crimson gaze averted to his feet. "Mmm.. I... I do not know where the inn is, uhm..." He flushed and coughed into his cupped hand. "Could you... Uhm... Mm... Direct me there..." The inquiry was very low and quiet, and he hardly expected the girls to answer him, if they recognized him even in the darkness.

Ga-Jin started giggling once again, but this time. It wasn't because of the alcohol, it was because of the strange man's sudden tantrum. '...Is he insane? He's acting like there's someone in the sky.' Hysuna whispered to her friend, who nodded in return.

'If he's trying to fit into Gughwa, he's not doing a very god job.' Ga-Jin sighed, and then attempted to calm the man down, even though she began to recognize his face when she got closer.
'You!' she hissed, trying not to grab the attention of Hysuna, who was standing a few feet back, waiting for whatever her friend was doing, to be done.

'Why are you still around here? This village isn't your type of spot, it seems' she whispered, looking up and down at the red-haired man's clothing in the dim lamplight.
Hysuna started to step forward, wondering what was taking so long. The inn was just down the street. It wouldn't be that hard to direct him there. 'Ga-Jin, what's the hold-up? I'm getting tir- him!' she pointed, slightly shocked at who was asking for their help.
Quickly realizing her manners were a bit out of line, she quickly lowered her finger, and then crossed her arms.

'Ga-Jin, let's go home.' Hysuna waved to her friend, trying to get her away from the stranger.
'Sir, the inn is down the road. It has multi-coloured lanterns strung across the trees. You can't miss it.' she nudged her head in the direction of the bar and lodging, before turning around on her heel.

(Poor Dangun can't catch a break in Gughwa. xDD)

Dangun reddened somewhat, embarrassed at how the girls received him. 'You!' from the rude woman. 'Him!' from the overtly shy one. He angled his eyes away from him, though the distaste weighed heavily on his flawless complexion. If they had managed to watch his expression for any length of time, the simultaneous resentment and depression would be evident enough to them. Really, the god just wanted to be through with their attitude, and contemplated saying something kind just to amend whatever ills they had with him if only to be left in peace and hear nothing more of their blatant teenage defamation of his appearance and personality. "Yes," he said sadly with a sigh, "It's me."

The rude one made a further remark about how he should have removed himself from the village long ago, causing him to flinch. But he was too exhausted to take further offense. Rather, the shy one was decent enough to point him in the direction of the inn, even though she pivoted on her heels and made to leave already...To avoid conversing with him further. However, before she was able to move very far, and while both girls remained in ear shot, Dangun said... And this time modesty had returned to his otherwise haughty tone. "Believe me, I would have left you all be... Had I anywhere else to go." His handsome face fell, and he turned away.

Multicolored lanterns... Paper lanterns, lit with candles, perhaps? The god rubbed his chin in thought for a moment, pausing to contemplate as to whether or not he had seen something close to what had been described. He had a terrible sense of direction. Wherever he tried to get to, he always managed to get himself horribly lost... And wandering aimlessly on earth proved to be no exception to that rule. Additionally, it would help if he knew exactly what needed to be done with his.. "mortal" life, but... Alas... "I will trouble you no further," Dangun said softly, and started up again at a steady pace, moving in the direction the female Hysuna had pointed out to him.

Ga-Jin froze beside Hysuna, after the man's comment, but she shrugged it off, trying to pull on her friend's arm so they could leave. 'Hysuna, let's go already! He's at the inn, and we don't have to deal with him anymore!'

'No, Ga-Jin. Didn't you hear him? My grandfather would have my head on a pole if he knew I heard his woes, and did nothing to help.' Hysuna scratched the back of head, about to turn back to the fiery-haired stranger, whom she was afraid of.

I suppose she wasn't so much afraid of his appearance Sure, it was different, but the real reason she ran, is because Hysuna can't take compliments well. They only come from her family, so it's rare to be given attention like that in this village.
'I was so afraid for a stupid reason, Ga-Jin. I should try to make up for what I did.' the young woman shook her head, and then pivoted back, once again.

'You! Hold on!' she yelled, trying to grab the man's attention.
Pangs of regret filled her. She could go home right now and forget about this man forever... But no. He conscience would have a fit.

She eventually reached the man, who was headed in the total opposite way of the inn, and grabbed his sleeve, as a-Jin had done a while ago.
'Y-You. I heard what you said, and, um, and I think it might be a good idea for you to stay with my father and I.'
Hysuna looked away from the man, trying to avert his reaction, and kept going. 'If you can't even find the damn inn, I'm worried for your safety outside of the village. So get your stuff from wherever, and bring it with us.'

From afar, Ga-Jin looked quite puzzled, until she stepped closer to hear what was going on. 'Hysuna, I'm headed home. Talk to you later?'

'Absolutely, Ga-Jin, I'll see you at the Moon Pool tomorrow! I'll bring the noodles!'
She turned away from the man to wave goodbye to her friend, and then resumed her position in front of the stranger. 'So, is it a deal?'

The god's gut wrenched when the shy female accosted him, grasping his sleeve between her fingers. That touch, slight as it was, sent a shock through his person. Of course, the rude girl, 'Ga-Jin', had grabbed him before. But Dangun had not felt a thrill from her actions. Perhaps this was a sign from his father that Hysuna was the one he needed to speak to and know to figure out his destiny? Dangun cleared his throat and angled himself toward the girl, though coughing a bit awkwardly into his fist. His cheeks were rosy, perhaps with embarrassment. He could scarcely believe what he was about to do.

"I...I am sorry for frightening you earlier, Miss Hysuna. I truthfully meant no harm. I know my appearance is far from ordinary and... I do not mean to be at all intimidating."

Only then did Dangun glance down at the girl, marveling at how the girl's face seemed to glow, even in the dim lighting of the street. Perhaps it was the fault of the moon. The man's heart within his chest gave a little leap, but he smothered down the sentiment. Now was not the time to be skirt-chasing, and cause Hysuna to renounce her kind and hospitable offer. He knew he would get lost again if he did not accept.

"My name is..." The god hesitated. Should he say his last name, or would it be too odd for the girl? He contemplated this as she bade her rude friend goodbye. Deep down, he was glad to see her go. She had only caused trouble for him in Hysuna's wake. Without Ga-Jin, certainly all of this turmoil would not have arisen. Finally, he opted to tell Hysuna his full name, and she could gather from it what she would, even if it was the surname of a god that belonged in Heaven.

"My name is Dangun Wanggeom," Dangun said finally, putting his sleeves together and bowing deeply to the girl. His long, crimson hair swept forward and draped over his face, before he straightened himself to his usual imposing height. "I would be most honored to stay at your father's abode, and I promise to inconvenience you as little as possible. To be entirely frank without, I am completely lost in this area of the world and have been... Troubled since my arrival. Any hostility I showed towards you or your friend was a direct result of my frustrations and not meant personally."
