Ian
Kei (Kay) has come to stay with his family in a small town near London. Though adopted into his family, the youth has pushed himself with his studies, trying to make people forget his foreign looks and focus on what he can do.
Ever since his adopted parents were killed in the course of a strange string of murders, Kei has been the outcast from what family he has left. He feels guilty for the loss of his parents, and Trish and John Weiss seem to think he's bad luck - a foreign stranger that they never approved of was now named family.
Personality: Not one to back down from a challenge, he is a courageous individual with the drive to learn. More about his personality will be found later on in the story.
Abilities: As a human, he has none. But when he takes on his second life, a vampire persona, Kei has the ability to enter the dreams of whoever he wishes.
-
It had been nearly a week since he'd moved in with his aunt and uncle, but Kei slowly came to realize that things weren't going to change. His parents were still dead, and his foreign looks were the topic of much unpleasant conversation over the dinner table every evening. He was drawing too much unwanted attention to the Weiss family.
Running a hand through his disheveled hair, Kei looked up at the slow-rising moon. From where he was sitting on the front porch, he could hear the hushed voices of his aunt and uncle as they fought once again - probably about what to do with him. After Kei had suffered through the murder of his parents, he was sent to the small town of Helorian just outside of London. The move forced him to abandon his studies, so he was trying to get enrolled in a new school . . . but the Weiss's weren't wealthy, and the academies nearby didn't want a foreigner marring their perfect classrooms.
Looking out at the night, Kei's sea-blue eyes filled with a stoic stillness. Why me? The sound of a lone wolf howling not far from their house, which was on the edge of a rather dark forest, made the youth smile a bit. Whenever he couldn't handle the house any more, he would move to the porch. During the night hours, he enjoyed taking short walks to the edge of the trees, clearing his mind of trouble.
Choosing to do just that, Kei stood, brushing himself off before slowly walking toward the darkness. Hearing the rising voices of his Trish and John, he knew he wouldn't be missed for many hours.

Lessa howled softly as she ran through the woods. She was bored. It was a full moon and as usual she was in full wolf form. She had some human appearances but with a tail and ears. Her teeth were sharp and pointed. She ran on all fours. She growled as she neared the lights of a house. She could hear someone walking and she slowed down pausing just inside the wooded area. She saw a young boy about her age or at least the age she appeared to be. She watched him curiously. She did not want to scar him so instead of running towards him she yelled "Hey, Who are you?"
She did not remember seeing this boy before. One good thing about her being a werewolf for so long was that she could usually control her change enough to stay partially human. It let her talk at least.

His head shot up, and Kei frowned slightly. Did someone just say something? Who on Earth would be out at this time of night? The only house with miles was John's. Pausing for a moment, he wondered if he was finally losing it - the murders had taken too much out of him, and now he was finally cracking. It happened to people all the time, but somehow Kei knew it wasn't happening to him. He had too much of a head on his shoulders; he was too smart.
"I'm Kei," he replied after many moments of silence. He had stopped walking the instant he heard the voice, and now he slowly took another step forward to continue his walk. "Just taking a walk. Don't mean to bother anyone." Not that there should be anyone to bother out in the forest at this time of night.

"I apologize. Do not be afraid I will come out of hiding." She did not want her wolf side taking over and causing her to harm him. That would not be good. She looked around quickly and noticed some wolfsbane growing closeby. She mentally marked the spot and then stepped out in front of the boy called Kei.
Please do not be afraid." In her half wolf half human form she only had ears and a tail. She turned full wolf by the time it was midnight. She still had a few hours.

"Afraid?" Kei whispered, eying the girl strangely. "W-why would I be afraid of a girl?" His blue eyes narrowed slightly, and his hand lifted to run over his bottom lip. "What are you?"
In his large sweater, the boy could have been small . . . but he gave off the impression of being someone pleased with their own fitness level. Honestly, he was a fit youth, lean and tall - and fast. Ever wary, despite the strange creature before him being female, Kei bit his lip and stepped forward. "What's your name?"

She stared at him a moment with a frown. He did not seem afraid only anxious and perhaps a little defensive. He seemed ok to her.
"I am Lessa. I am a werewolf. I am sorry if I did scare you though. I am not used to people invading my woods."
Her tail wagged a little and her ears were laid back as if she was anxious herself.

"Lessa," Kei repeated, watching her for a few more moments. His finger traced over his bottom lip a few more times before the youth moved. "That's a pretty name." Slowly stepping forward again, he began to continue his walk. "It fits you well." In other words, she was pretty too. Clearing his throat, the youth slowly started to walk once again. "Would you mind joining me? I mean . . . if you have anything else to do, I understand. After all, we did just meet." His voice lowered, and his words sped up as though he was nervous. "I mean, I'm a stranger, and you don't have to feel like you have to come with me just because I asked. I hate it when people do that to me."

Her ears stood up and her tail wagged more. She smiled at him.
"I would love it if you would join me for a couple of hours at least."
She glanced up at the moon and frowned.
"Time is getting short before my full transformation."
SHe took his hand in hers and led him quickly through the woods for ten minutes. They came across a large cave.
"You may stay in here after I leave in a few hours. I dare not stay for fear of harming you or you harming me. You see when a werewolf transforms the animal takes over and it does tend to get rather messy."

"Messy," Kei repeated, looking around the cave with a slight frown. "I'll try to remember that." What if I need to get home? He wasn't sure if he had seen the cavern before - though he would be able to find his way back to the Weiss household if necessary. "I have school tomorrow," the teen said suddenly, as though reluctantly returning to the real world for a few moments. "I need to walk home sometime soon."
His blue eyes scanned over the area again before returning to Lessa. "What does it feel like?" he blurted, his hand flying up to his mouth the second he spoke. Looking a bit startled by his own words, the teen swallowed and fingered the edge of his large sleeve for a few moments. "To change. What do you feel?"

She sat down and looked at him a moment. She put her hand out and grabbed his putting it on her tail.
"Its ok I have soft fur see. I will walk you home in one hour. You must stay inside your house though because it can be dangerous. Keep your family safely inside and lock all the doors and windows. As for the change its rather simple. It feels like nothing. It does not hurt. It does not cause you any issues. You just start growing a tail and ears. Sometimes I feel a little pressure but its not unpleasant."
She smiled at him but kept her lips covering her sharp teeth.

A blush sprang to Kei's face as she grabbed his hand, and he nodded. "Oh" was his only response. What else do you say to a werewolf? "I think that's beautiful," he whispered, watching Lessa for a few moments before looking toward the moon. AKA - he thought she was pretty, and her transformation was most likely a sight for the eyes as well.

"We should probably be getting you home soon."
She lifted a hand that had a claws growing on it and it was starting to get fuzzy.

"Alright," Kei whispered, slowly standing. Offering his hand, the youth glanced around a final time. It was definitely time to get home. He needed sleep . . . school was not going to wait for him to catch up on rest. "Will I see you again?" he asked as he helped Lessa to her feet. As they started walking in the direction of the Weiss household, he kept his hand in hers, ignoring the fact that she had claws - it was a strange feeling. "I-I would like to, if you don't mind. I mean, if you have time, I would love to see you again." He stuttered a few more times, and then just blushed and focused on getting home.

SHe stared at him a moment. This was strange. Most people were afraid of her and took off running when they saw her. Others liked her but only in human form. She looked down at the ground. This was so confusing. He kept hinting she was pretty and now he wanted to be her friend.
"You do not think I am repulsive? You are not afraid of me because I am a hideous monster?"

Breaking out of his sheepish character, Kei snorted uncharacteristically. "If you're hideous, I'd hate to know what I am." His blush faded, and the youth pulled up his sleeve to better hold Lessa's hand in his. "I'm not afraid of you." To emphasize his point, the tall teen gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
His house came into view not long after, a few lights still glowing from inside - everyone else was likely to be asleep or still fighting. With a frown, Kei turned his blue eyes to Lessa. "Please say I'll see you again." I don't want this to just be a dream. It would be nice to have a friend.

She looked at him a moment. She thought about the last time something like this had happened. He had trusted her to make sure she could control herself. She had thought love would beat it. But no she had killed him. It was horrible. It had broken her heart. SHe promised not to get involved with anymore humans. She looked at his face. He seemed so sincere.
"Very well but only when there is not a full moon out. Tommarrow night before midnight. I will meet you here. After 11 you will have to leave."

He went back home, slipping quietly inside and ignoring the harsh voices of his aunt and uncle as he climbed into bed. Turning out the light, the youth fell asleep.

Lessa watched him go inside. She ran into the woods feeling her transformation completing. She howled loudly and growled. She was hungry and she wanted food. She ran down a rabbit eating it hungrily. She finished her meal and went back to her cave and she laid down.

((:D THanks! Es is a she though . . . not a he.))
Kei woke at Lessa's howl, and his blue eyes scanned the open window for a moment before he felt himself drift back into sleep. Perhaps it was all a dream. Darkness encompassed the youth once again, and he dreamed of wolves and Lessa - there were dark forms that seemed to shadow his every movement, like a flicker of motion that one sees out of the corner of your eye. But every time Kei looked, they disappeared.
Falling deeper into sleep, the teen fell dead to the world, seeing only his dreams.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
Slam.
Kei brought his hand down on the clock heavily, groaning. School time. Within the next half an hour, he was showered, dressed, had eaten breakfast, and was ready to go. Snagging the keys off of the table by the front door, he left without letting his family know he was awake. It was best if the Weiss family didn't know he was alive, let alone leaving.
His silver Prius Hybrid silently came to life as he inserted the key, driving to the academy he had recently joined. Still considered a bit of a freak, an outcast, the foreigner made his way to his first class, ignoring the feral expressions from those around him. It's not my fault I'm adopted.
The day was long, the classes stuffy and full of immature idiots that threw paper wads at Kei's head for target practice. Everything was normal - except the stranger that seemed to be in every single one of his classes all of a sudden. It was a boy about his age, if not younger, with shoulder-length black hair and a long leather trench coat. Everything he wore was black, even his nails.
Kei felt uneasy around the other male, but there was nothing he could do to avoid him. Sitting at his lunch table (yes, only him), his blue eyes rose to meet the strangers as the dark boy sat across from him.
Instead of talking, the two of them were silent - Kei swallowed his bite of sub sandwich roughly before taking drink of water. When he looked back to where the newcomer had been sitting, he was gone. Am I going crazy?
The rest of the day went by normally, with the exception of the stranger seeming to watch Kei's every movement. It was a relief when he could finally sit in his car, leaning back against the seat in exhaustion. Someone slamming a palm against his window made the dark-haired youth jump, blue eyes shooting open . . . only to see one of the jocks walking away with laughter on his lips.
Disgusted, Kei started his Prius, leaving the parking lot and heading for home as quick as possible. Always one to follow the rules, he surprised himself by almost running a few red lights in his foul mood.
As soon as his keys hit the table, the fighting started.
"Kei! You useless rat, why didn't you tell us you were leaving?!"
Trish Weiss was a particularly picky woman - and her husband was more strict than a Navy commander. "I had to leave."
"You should have told me!" The shrill yell made Kei cover his ears with his hands, wishing he were somewhere else. Glancing down at his navy school uniform, he headed for his room, bag slung over one shoulder.
Without responding, he closed the door, hearing both aunt and uncle start their fighting anew. They always fought about him.
Kei slumped against the edge of his bed after changing into jeans and his comfortable sweater, sighing. Homework until ten, and then he'd go out to see Lessa.
Pulling out his workbook, the youth grinned. I can't wait.

(holy crap that was a mega post lol ^.^ I loved it. Also did you have plans for your dark stranger?)
Lessa slept the rest of the night. When day came she smiled. She was a human again. Everything was great. The thing she hated the most about being a werewolf was that she could not be normal. Her transformations were just to unpredictable. She thought about Ian. SHe had loved him so much. But she had killed him and he would never come back. She missed him so badly.
She went for a walk through the town. It was a nice day to be out. She did not have any money so she just walked around in circles. She was so bored. She stopped in front of he school and looked at it. She wanted to go to school. But she would never get to. She was to strange. She had met Ian in school. She could not bare to endure this again. She thought about Kei. He was so nice and sweet. She wondered if he was in this school right now. She sighed.
She turned and walked to the mall. She wasted time in there until it was almost dark. She took off to the woods as fast as possible. When she got there her ears and tail had started to come in. She sighed. It would not be a full moon tonight so she would not have to worry about full transformation but she partially transformed every night. She went to the house where Kei lived and looked up at it. She walked around in circles smelling the air. She noticed a tree closeby and began to climb it slowly. She peered into the window and smiled seeing Kei do his homework. She laid down on the branch and came towards the window. She barked a shrill yip trying to get his attention.

((You like that post? :XD Dang, it got me quite a bit of gold.
Hmm. If she killed Ian . . . would you mind me making Ian a vampire? :XD Say she thought he was dead, and then a vamp came along and changed him just in time. Now he wants to have his revenge or what not, perhaps. Thus he takes Kei. I'll have to make a picture for him on my first page post.))
Hearing the yip, Kei's blue eyes flew to the tree not far from his window. From where he was laying on his stomach, he could see outside perfectly - and it was Lessa that was beckoning him. Slowly getting up, he set his work aside, moving to open the window even wider. "Lessa," he smiled, glancing down at the ground - he was on the second story. "Are you sure that's safe up there?"
As much as he wanted to invite her in, the Weiss' wouldn't enjoy having a girl inside, let alone a stranger that was going to be around Kei. Friends were something they didn't want in their house. "Meet you by the porch?" he asked in a hushed shout, trying not to draw his family's attention.

(sure sounds fun fun fun ^.^)
She looked at him and smiled wagging her tail.
"Sure It wont take me but a second."
With that she jumped off the tree branch landing on the ground on all fours. She walked quickly to the porch and sat down on the ground right below it. She did not actually get on the porch for fear of being seen. She closed her eyes. Is this a good idea Lessa? You remember what happened with Ian. Do you really want to endure this again? You will lose everything you have worked for.

((Sweet. :P Here is Ian))
Kei slipped out the back door, pulling his loose sleeves up about his hands as he stepped into the night. Going around the house, the youth met up with Lessa. "Hey," he whispered, nudging her with a shoe. "Let's go on a walk or something. I don't want them," he used his head to motion toward the house, "to notice I'm with you. They don't like people our age."
Slowly stepping toward the big pond he knew to be not far from the house, Kei let his blue eyes settle on the girl's ears. "D-do you want to walk by the pond?" They had a few hours before midnight, after all.

Lessa jumped up when she saw him and gave him a quick hug.
"Sure that sounds like fun."
She took off running on all fours beating him to the pond with no problem. She stood in one spot and watched him catch up thinking. You know its dangerous. You could not even control it with love. Something bad will happen if you are not careful lessa. Just tell him you can not be his friend. He will understand. No one can like you enough to risk there life for you. Its not possible Lessa.
