Reserved for Louis and FairyTale Only
Name: Nemo Hikawa
Age: 19
Race: Human
Bio: Nemo has just moved to L.A. and finds the place a little disconcerting. His parents urge him to give the city a try though. He finds that even though he doesn't connect much with many of the teens his age, taking walks about the city and talking with the street musicians and beggers is an interesting way to kill time in the evenings. Through one of the musicians he finds out about a job opening at a tiny toy shop, so he heads there one day to check it out...

Name: Fiyoko Fugiyoka
Age: 18
Race: Human.... Sort of....
Bio: Fiyoko used to be a priness in the times where people wore Kimono's. There was a shop keeper, and because she didn't give him the time of day he turned her into a small doll. He put her long hair in two ponytails, and and had made her have ears and tail of a fox. Times passed, and she was kept in the back of his shop, and carried around. Apparently, he lived forever and she was forced to be his living doll. Not that he really payed much attention to her. Fiyoko was lonely... and now she sat behind the cash registers at the toy store he owned.... Not moving while people were there. And moving when no one was there.
Appearance:

----------
Fiyoko paced inside the cabinet with a glass door. She was the only "doll" in the store that could actually walk and talk. Amazing right? Wrong. It was annoying. She never had anyone to talk to except the shop owner when he decided he wanted to talk to her. The shop was about to open, and she was trying to do the most walking and talking that she could. She mostly talked to herself. If only she had taken the time to atleast say hi to the shop owner when she was a princess, she wouldn't be this weird doll with fox ears and tail. And then the clock chimed 10 o'clock and the manager of the store showed up.
Fiyoko instantly sat in the position she always did, her knee's bent touching eachother and her doll hands on the cabinet shelf. She was on the middle shelf and so she could see most everything that happened. Plus, she was small enough that if she blinked no one would really notice and if they did they thought it was just some cool thing the doll did. Everything in the long cabinet on the wall wasn't for sale. They were all pretty toys for decoration. And so started, a very long day....

((your doll's name is Fiyoko))
Nemo edged the door to the old shop open and peeked in, squinting a little in the gloom. The only light was from the front windows and a small chandelier in the center of the high ceiling. He stepped in hesitantly, staring around at the dusty toys and dolls sitting along the walls. The place looked old and empty. His footsteps seemed to echo on the creaky wooden floor as he walked up to the counter where the cash register sat. No one was there at the moment. Or possibly asleep in a wooden rocking chair in the back, he imagined. He looked around and the glass cabinent nearby caught his eye.
Nemo stepped over to cabinent and leaned in close to peer inside. In the center of the shelf sat a pretty doll with amazing detail. Just as he reached up to touch the glass, a sharp snap made him stand up straight and look around. An old man with touseled gray hair stood at the counter, one bushy brow raised at Nemo. "Those are not for sale or to touch, kid," he growled. Nemo nodded sheepishly and stuck his hands in his pockets as he stepped back over to the cash register.
"Sorry. But, what I really came in here for is a job. I just moved here, and a guy I met on the street..." Nemo began, but stopped short when the old man raised one hand. "I get it," he said in the same gravelly voice. "You're not the first kid coming in here looking for a job, but you're the first that hasn't broken anything in the first minute stepping inside. You can fill out an application later if you want, but you can start now. I have some bills to go through, and there's a layer of dust around the shop I've been meaning to get to."
With that, the old man took out the cash drawer from the register and disappeared back into the spare room behind the counter. Nemo stood there dumbfounded for a moment, then shrugged and went around to the back of the counter to look for a duster. He found a bucket full of dusters and fly swatters and took his pick before getting started on the dusting.

((Yeah, why?))
Fiyoko watched a male walk in, she didn't recognize him. Perhaps he was a customer that decided to come really really early? She sat still when he walked over. He hand was so close to the cabinet, his eyes watching her. It took all she had not to blink. And the second the shop owner, the man she hated because he made her a doll, came and the boy turned away she blinked. It felt so good to blink, She was just glad as a doll she couldn't cry. She listened to the shopowner and the boy. It surprised her that he had hired the boy. He normally didn't like young men working for him because they were curious. And curious men meant breaking items. But apparently something was different about this one. She watched curiously, it seemed today no one would really be coming in. No one really ever came in because the toys weren't really all new toys. It was more of an antique shop with toys that were never used and came straight from the factory. It was a weird shop.... A toy shop for adults who couldn't forget their childhood memories.
Fiyoko watched as the boy began to dust. And finally she couldn't help it. She had never talked to anyone but the shopowner in her doll state, and it was lonely. But with this new boy working here, maybe she could have a friend. He had seemed interest in looking at her. Slowly, she stood up and pushed on the cabinet door. It was heavy. She knocked on it with her doll hands. The only time she was allowed out of the cabinet was when someone took her out. And she felt like walking around. So she hoped he would take her out if he saw a moving doll. Maybe a talking doll too? "Hello! Boy!" She shouted. That was the good thing about being a doll that was one a human. She could talk and walk and all that fun stuff. But she didn't need to eat, though sometimes the shopowner fed her cake and such. That was when he even remembered she was there. She wasn't sure if he pretended not to notice her because she hadn't given him the time of day, or because he simply didn't care anymore.
Fiyoko continued to pound on the glass as hard as she could, being a doll she didn't have to worry about breaking it. She continued to shout at him. He had to notice her! Didn't he hear her? Or was being inside a glass cabinet blocking her voice? But then, was she not hitting the glass hard enough? She would take her shoes off to pound on the glass with them, but then it would be hard to put it back on and stay on. The old type of shoes were always like that. The stupid suckers. That was the only downfall of being a doll. Technically she was basically a very small human. Though it looked like she was made out of the material that barbie's were made out of, which she would know about if she payed more attention to the people who came into the store. People did talk about the strangest things, and she never liked to listen to what they said. Though she loved making up stories about theirs lives had they lived in the era that she had lived in. Plus she liked to watch how different people looked over the times.

((well, is there another doll named Midori...?))
Nemo had just started dusting when he heard a strange noise. He paused to look around, but didn't see the shopkeeper. He shrugged and turned back to dusting. One more swipe of the duster, and he heard another strange noise. Was that a voice? He looked around again, and this time he saw movement in the glass cabinent beside the counter. What was that...?
Nemo slowly shuffled over, squinting a little, until he was just a few feet away from the cabinent. Then his expression turned to surprise, and disbelief. The little doll he had looked at just a moment ago was moving. And it didn't look happy. But dolls don't have emotions...do they? No matter if they did or not though, this one sure did. She was making quite a ruckus too. He glanced back to the door the old man had disappeared behind, then reached to open the door of the cabinent. He swung it open a crack, looking inside at the rebellious little doll. What in the world would someone say to greet a doll?
"Uh...hi," Nemo finally decided on.

(Oh shoot! Lol. See at the moment I was looking at names for other roleplays, so yeah. So sorry!)
Fiyoko was so happy when he began to walk over. She continued to pound on the glass and yell though, because if she stopped then she was sure he would go away. She laughed when she saw his face. That was the exact face she had been expecting. All this time she had wanted to tell someone about herself, to make a friend, and the only thing or person she could do that to was someone who spoke and walked. Plus this guy seemed to be curious and he spoke and walked and he was alive. He was the perfect match. And he opened the cabinet!! She couldn't be happier. She waved at him. "Could you just.... Just... hold out your hand please." She asked. Once he did that she would be able to walk onto his hand, or jump depending on where he placed his hand. And then she was sure she would tell him her name, explain what happened to her and then they'd be secret friends!
Fiyoko would have to warn him not to tell anyone about her. If he told, then they would both pay the price. He might even be turned into a doll and be forced to be with her for all eternity. And trust her, she would not be very happy with him if he told. So it would be a very miserable eternity. Maybe not lonely, but miserable. If she hadn't been miserable already. But atleast now she wouldn't be lonely anymore. No matter what happened. She couldn't be alone now that this man knew that she could walk and talk and such. Though she hoped he didn't think he was crazy and run out and never come back. That would certainly be disconcerting. A very dissapointing and horrible thing really. And would mean she would never try it on anyone else again and be forced to be alone again. Such a horrible thing really. She didn't even know how old she was really. All she knew was she was 18 when she was turned into a doll.

((XD))
Nemo blinked in further surprise as she responded, but he obliged to her request and held out his hand close to her tiny feet. He was a little afraid he might break her. She seemed pretty agile though. Still, he made sure she was safely seated in his palm before lifting her up to his eyes. She was really, really cute up close. Even the fur of her ears and tail looked real. He couldn't help but smile at her, reaching up a little hesitantly to poke lightly at her ear. He wasn't sure if she would mind, but he couldn't resist. Her fur was so soft.

Fiyoko walked onto his huge hand, that was probably an inch bigger than her if she were to lay down on his hand. She sat down on his hand and sat pretty still when he lifted her up to be level with his eyes. He had really pretty eyes.... She sure had picked a pretty cute friend. She blinked and watched a bit scared at first when a finger came towards her. But he only poked one of her fox ears that the shopkeeper had placed on her replacing her normal human ears. Her tail swayed a little, and she smiled back at him. "Hi. My name is Fiyoko Fujiyoka. I used to be a princess before I was turned into a doll." She told him, cutting right to the chase. She couldn't help herself though, like he couldn't help himself with poking her ear. She stood up and walked over to the edge of his hand and placed a small hand on his cheek. She hadn't been this close to a person in a long time and missed skin on skin. It felt nice.

Nemo smiled as she came close, her tiny hand like a feather on his cheek. He wanted to laugh at how weird this all was, but that might be too loud for her when she was this close. One part of still wished to believe that was just an elaborate hoax made up by the shopkeeper. But no robot doll in the world could respond like she does. Nor throw fits at glass doors.
Nemo carefully raised her up to hold his hand out by his shoulder. "Well, little princess, do you want to come along with me while I dust the shop?" he asked. "Oh, yeah, and I'm Nemo by the way. I've heard of princesses like you in the old stories my grandfather tells."

Fiyoko moved to her knees, and held on to the edge of his hand so she wouldn't fall while he moved his hand. She nodded happily. She was so happy to be out and about, it'd been so long since the shopkeeper had taken her out of the cabinet and it felt nice. Especially since Nemo was so kind. She nodded happily, and moved onto his shoulder, which she sat on. "Yes, there are similar stories. I've heard of them too, that is before I was turned into one of said stories....." She mumbled. "Oh! And before I forget, you must promise not to tell anyone about me." She told him, holding on his his clothing fabric so that when he walked around she wouldn't slide and fall. The last thing she needed was to fall onto the floor. She didn't know if she would break or what, and she didn't want to find out.

Nemo listened quietly for a moment, dusting off a set of nesting dolls with cracked paint. He kept steady as he moved, allowing Fiyoko time to shift around if he needed to bend down. "So you were once a princess. If you don't mind me asking, what was it like in ancient Japan? My grandfather was born around the end of the Meiji period, so he got to see more of the industial age of Japan growing up. But he says, in quote from the stories of his grandfather, that real, proffesional Geisha's were the most beautiful women a man could lay eyes on. I wouldn't mind climbing in a time machine just for that," Nemo added with a laugh.
Nemo finished dusting the nesting dolls and slowly crouched down lower to reach two rag dolls on the bottom shelf, keeping an eye on Fiyoko so she wouldn't fall. The rag dolls looked horrible. It wasn't any wonder that they had never been sold. But he sighed and started dusting them off anyway. Their threadbare heads flopped back and forth as he beat gently at the dolls.

Fiyoko moved around whenever he moved. She held on tight so that she wouldn't fall. She listened to him and giggled. Ofcourse his grandfather would have said it. She had to say the women in that time were more respected than the ones in these times. "Being a girl myself, I can't really say such things. But they were very beautiful. Times were much more peaceful in those times..." She told him. She explained the ways of the time back then. They were still fresh in her mind though they'd been so long ago. On a normal basis she would think of those times and sort of relive them in her mind. Mostly so she wouldn't forget. Plus if she ever got bored she had something to think about and she got bored most easily. But perhaps maybe now that she had Nemo to talk to she wouldn't be so bored anymore.

Nemo continued listening quietly while Fiyoko talked, nodding here and there as he dusted. He kept an eye out for the old man too, glancing back every once in a while to the back room. Listening to her made him feel a bit better about his own life. Not that he would mention that though. He wouldn't be that offensive. But modern life did seem alot better, even though life back then was valued through hard work. People today could use some of that perspective, but most were too integrated into the ease of city life. Himself included. He could barely imagine himself working all day on fields or driving cattle.
Finally, Nemo was finished dusting, and the old man still hadn't come out of the back room. So he put away the duster and carried Fiyoko back over to the cabinent that he'd found her in. He raised his hand up to his shoulder for her to climb on. "I'll have to put you back now. The old man's probably asleep, so I'll leave a note for him. I'll bring you something special tomorrow too," he added with a smile.

Fiyoko sighed when it was time for him to leave. She got back into the cabinet and nodded slightly. She smiled, wondering what the something would be. She waved at him. "Goodbye." She got back into her doll position. It would be a long night for sure. But she wouldn't forget about Nemo and the something he was going to bring to give her. She wondered what it was... But whatever it was she was sure it was something good. That night she slept in the cabinet peacefully, waiting for Nemo to return...

Later that night the old man finally came out of the back room, yawning and scratching at his grey head. He didn't see the note laying on the counter as he went around to Fiyoko's cabinent. He peered in through the glass to make sure she was still there, then went to lock up the shop and check on Nemo's work. He looked over every shelf, eyes wrinkling even more as he squinted at the dolls and toys. He took his time in checking, taking almost a half hour to do so. Eventually he came back around to Fiyoko's cabinent, where he stopped to look in at her again.
The old man opened the glass doors and reached in to grab Fiyoko up by her tail, dangling her in the air in front of his face. He grinned wickedly, all his gnarly teeth showing in the dim light of the dark shop. "Wake up, little Fiyoko. You will dance for me tonight," he said with a low laugh. He carried her away to the back room, where he shut the door before putting her down on his messy desk. He pushed some of the papers and junk aside to make a small space for her, then stepped back to sit down in his old wooden chair. "Now," he said with a wave of his hand, "Dance for me."

(Does he mean like a striptease? Lol)
Fiyoko woke up, a small yelp leaving her lips when she was held by her tail. She glared at the shopkeeper. She hated him and feared him. She dangled in the air while he carried her to the back room. She had never danced for him before, except once. She sat in the small empty space and stood up slowly. She hated him so much. She crossed her small arms over her chest. "No." She had never tried being disobedient before. But now that she had a friend, she wanted to try it. She didn't want to dance for him, infact she refused to do so. He wasn't the boss of her, and it was apparent she'd be stuck as a doll forever...

((haha no XD ))
The old man blinked at her, then his wrinkled eyes narrowed. He leaned forward and pinched on of her ears between his fingers, pulling her up slightly. "You will dance for me, princess. That is an order, and I will not tolerate you obstinence," he growled. He shook her once by the ear, then let her go and sat back into his chair. "Now. Dance," he demanded, reaching over to a small radio that sat half buried on one end of his desk. He switched it on and turned the rusty old knob until a classical music station came through with the sound of a drawn out note on a violin. The old man smiled and sighed, relaxing back in his chair. He enjoyed keeping in touch with long past fads and other entertainment. This new age, he felt, dragged him down too much mentally and physically. The shrill notes of the violin was a perfect cure for his fatigue.

(Lol. Okay. ^^)
Fiyoko winced when he pinched her ears. If she could cry, she would have. She nodded, whining when he shook her by the ear. She waited for him to put the music on for her. She tried to remember how to dance to the music, and soon began to dance by herself. Most likely a sad scene to watch had you been watching through her perpective and not the old mans. She danced as ordered to. Never had she been ordered except when with the old man. When she was a princess, everyone took her orders. She never took others orders. And now she was forced to dance by a magical shopkeeper who had turned her into a doll.

The old man smiled as he watched, his wrinkled eyes growing heavy. "That's my girl..." he said softly, his eyes matching his voice. It was rare to ever see the old man completely peaceful as he was now. He even hummed a little as he watched Fiyoko dance round and round, his eyes continuing to fall shut. Soon his chin dropped to his chest, and he fell asleep sitting in the chair.

Fiyoko was so happy when the man finally fell asleep. She dropped to the table, exhausted. Slowly, she fell asleep, the mans snoring and the classical music filling her ears. She was the first to wake up. She looked around. She had to get back to the cabinet.... She knew if she tried to do it herself, the old man would realize. Or perhaps he'd forget? He had the last couple of times. She took a deep breath in and decided to take a chance. Using what was around her, she got down to the floor and then to where the cabinet was, and climbed various things up the the counter. Sighing, she just stayed there, and sat on a toy inflatable chair.

Nemo came into the shop the next morning to find Fiyoko like that, and he laughed quietly. She looked so cute like that. In his right hand he held a black velvet ring box, which he gently set inside the cabinet next to her. Inside the box he had put a tiny dolls dress that he had bought once for a little girl that his parents had thought of adopting. That plan had never happened, but he still had kept the dress around tucked away in his closet. The tiny dress was made in a white, frilly Victorian style that he thought Fiyoko might like to wear for a change.
Carefully Nemo reached in again to stroke Fiyoko's ear gently. "Fiyoko," he whispered. "I brought you a surprise."

Fiyoko had somehow, fallen asleep again. But she woke up to movement. She saw Nemo, and giggled lightly. She closed her eyes to the stroke of the ear. It felt nice. She grinned now, opening her eyes. "A surprise?!" She looked around and saw the velvet box. She went over to it and exerted all her strength. She managed to get the box open and saw the tiny dress inside. She jumped up and down and then diflated. "I can't wear it...." She mumbled, and sat back down on the toy chair. "The owner would either know that I talked to you, or that you touched me... Neither a good thing." This sucked. Very much so.

Fiyoko's eyes went wide. She was flattered that he liked her that much. But she could never put him in risk of turning into something like her. She shook her small head. "No. There's so many dangers. So many things he could do if he found out. And just last night he made me dance for him. He would know..... Though I would like that.....thank you."

Even if he does have you under a spell, he can't cause much havoc without the police coming around. I know just the place where I can keep you hidden too. He'll never think to look there. What do you say?" he finished with a smile.
