It's the anticipated senior field trip for the graduating class of Redhill High School. A trip to New York is planned, and soon enough they're leaving on a school bus to visit the city that never sleeps. But nothing ever goes as its planned, and this is no exception. Traveling through the freezing mountains, the bus seems to go haywire and crash into the side of the Rockies. Only two survive, and to make it worse they're enemies. They've survived thus far, but will the tension build causing them to kill each other? For now all they know is if they don't find shelter, they're going to die. And this is where the story begins.

The name's Lavignia Michelle Carter. Got it?
17 1/2 b!tches
And I happen to rule the school.
Wanna know about me? Why not. I get what I want. No matter what. The parents are rich, and I'm spoiled rotten. Honestly? I really don't give a damn what you think. I don't care, and that's that. I'm rude, arrogant, and maybe, just maybe, a tad insecure. Frankly, I don't trust anyone. Eventually, everyone is going to break you. That's how I see it. I party it up, and pretend that's how I want it. But to be truthful, I'm just scared inside. And alone. But you didn't hear that. Now get lost.

My name is Derik La’Arc. I turned seventeen this last August, though it was like any other day. Boring, and way to full of books. Yeah, I’m a loner. I guess it doesn’t really bother me now. I gave up trying long ago. Fitting it just ain’t worth it. I’ve got my family, and they love me, so I’m fine with that. So, I stick to myself and my books. Has anyone here even heard my voice? I’m…not actually sure. I’m too lost in my thoughts to pay attention…
(OMG!!! I’m so sorry. I coulda sworn I posted on this!)

((Sorry I have yet to start, I have been extremely busy))
Lavignia Marie Dawson stood in the 5th seat on the right side of the rectangular yellow vehicle known as a school bus, AKA Hell. A twinkling laughter floated from her pink lips and into the chaos that inhabited bus 03-30. Joking with friends, as always, she didn't pay any attention to anything else. Except, of course, how she thought she must look. With long crimson hair and sideswept bangs, bright blue eyes, light olive skin, and an hour-glass figure to die for, Lavignia was a sight for sore eyes.
At the top of the social ladder, along with being one of the richest families in town, the 17 and 1/2 year old female got what she wanted and did what she wanted, and this was something she knew for a fact. She was currently single, though many boys lusted after her, but that didn't mean she didn't flirt. Which was exactly what she was doing at the moment. One of the most popular, and hottest, boys in school sat a seat behind and to the right of her. He too was standing, firing flirty comments and deep, velvety laughs at her. It was really all a game to Lavignia. She knew she never had and never would love him. The act was just to keep her status.
As she opened her mouth to return the flirting, she was interrupted by a loud screeching as the tires of the bus slid along the snow. "What the he-" Lavignia began to shout until she was ricocheted forward, stupid inertia, as the bus hit the side of the lucious white mountain. Agonizing screams of fear and pain filled her ears until at all stopped, and the lights she had been seeing went out.
A few moments later, the female regained consciousness. She felt something warm and wet trickling down the side of her face, and she opened her eyes to come face to us with Marcus, the boy she had been flirting with, gushing blood from his neck. Lifeless eyes beared into hers, sending shivers through her body and erecting a scream from her throat. She pushed her way through bags and bodies until she reached the open emergency door in the back of the bus. She flung herself onto the freezing white snow and let the tears flow from her eyes as she glanced back up, hoping to see another living face nearby.

(That’s fine. I am moving Wedsnday and won’t have internet for a bit. Please forgive me for not responding. I will as soon as I can.)
Would she ever shut the hell up? Derik wondered, for the last of many times, glancing up to Lavignia the bitch. Or, rather, the bitch. As usual, however, Derik lowered his dark brown eyes back to the book in his hands, Watership Down.
They’d been given assigned seats, which was the only reason he was sitting next to Jock boy, aka, Marcus, and LaBitch. God, what he would give to be sitting at home right now. Should have pretended to be sick…
Derik was jerked from his thoughts as the bus lurched and swerved. Screaming filled his ears, though he was too surprised to actually do so, others in the bus weren’t. Marcus also moved, though he fell over, right unto Derik, and pinned him to the ground. He watched, terrified, as Marcus’s head shot forward by one of the jolts on the bus. A sickening crack filled his ears, as suddenly, Marcus was bleeding on him. The bus continued to lurch, though Marcus’s body kept Derik in place, and pinned on the floor, he was out of most of the glass and debris flailing about.
It seemed like forever before the bus stopped. Derik scrambled to his feet, pulling Marcus off him and the male was dropped by the bitch. Amazed, Derik ran his eyes over the other people on the bus…He paused by a few as he made his way to the front of the bus. It was on it’s side, and the door was caved in. Everywhere he looked dead eyes stared back at him, the people in various stages of horror.
In shock, Derik made it to the back somehow, and pushed open the emergency door, falling out into the snow. Stay by the bus… Something from some class came back to him, and he plopped unto a rock, staring at falling flecks of snow. Soon, however, movement from the bus made him jerk to his feet. He watched in disbelief, as LaBitch herself crawled out from the bus, and began to cry.
Derik stood by awkwardly, and licked his lips, waiting until she looked up to speak. “D-did you see anyone else moving in there?” His voice was quiet, and husky. He didn’t know why he bothered asking. If it was Marcus out here, and he was still alive in there, the jock would leave him writhing around in pain.

A sudden voice filled the female's ears as she glanced up. Her eyes met those of Derik, was that his name?, the class loner. She pushed back threatening tears and wiped the ones of her face. Vulnerability was something she never showed, and the thought of him having seen her in that state made her stomach churn. She shook her head and opened her mouth to speak, but no words would escape her throat.
Lavignia turned her head back to the bus, hoping for signs of life but knowing there would be none, and she shuddered as she saw the red blood and white snow mix, and the black smoke and blue sky combine. Her gag reflex was triggered and she felt acid well up in her throat. But she swallowed it down, shuddered once again, and turned back to Derik.
"No," she whispered in a faint, frightened voice sounding like it belonged much more to a child than the teen. She felt a scalding tear escape her eye as she looked at the ground, shaking in her tank top and a pair of mid-thigh long shorts. She looked around, taking in her surroundings and assessing the situation. "We need to find shelter before we freeze," she stated in a hardened voice which portrayed no emotion. However the fear still played through her crystal blue eyes no matter how hard she tried to mask it. A tremor passed through her lean frame and she hugged her arms around her.
No longer did the strong, confident, and quite cocky female exist. No, Lavignia was far from it now. She had been shaken to her core, literally and theoretically. She just hoped Derik wouldn't call her out on it, even though he had every reason to do so. But she knew this wasn't time and definitely not the place, and her main priority was, of course, not dying.

Derik was silent for a long while, staring at the girl. She'd been mean, even downright cruel in the past, but no one deserved to live through what they had. He was numb right now, the emotions inside him, but it was like he was watching a movie.
The girl shuddered, obviously upset, frightened. Despite the wind, Derik slipped off the fluffy blue coat he wore, and held it out to her. "We should stay for a little while. Aren't you supposed to stay by whatever wrecks? So they can find you?"
"Here..." He muttered after another long, tense moment, "I'm sure someone brought a blanket or two...I'll...search a few bags and bring somethings out, okay?" The idea terrified him, digging through a dead person's belongings. But, Lavignia clearly hadn't dressed right, and they needed to stay warm...

"No one's going to find us out here. We're going to freeze before someone even realizes what's wrong, plus no cell reception," Lavignia added as she checked her cell phone.
She cautiously took the coat, and, holding back tears, slipped it over her lean shoulders and around her lithe torso. She looked at him, not speaking, but with every ounce of gratefulness playing obviously through her ice blue eyes. And thinking of ice, she wasn't sure what to do next. She nodded to his response and watched him slip into the bus. She wanted to help him search, but she couldn't. Though she wouldn't admit it, she was adopted. And as a child, at the time living in an orphanage, she had went to the town funeral home/mortuary. She had been locked in one of the basements by the other kids, with all of the cold, lifeless bodies, as a 'joke'. The experience had scarred her, only being 6 at the time, and she didn't want to relive it by going back in the bus.
Needless to say she learned not to trust anyone. As far as her 'friends' knew, she lived a perfect rich life with her mom and dad. But they weren't her parents, and she would never consider them so. She was just a little touch to make the rich family, all politicians, seem even more regardable. They moved towns and no one ever thought for a second that Lavignia was a foster kid.
However, Lavignia wouldn't sit there like a bump on a log. She stood up, shuffling through the snow in thin, white, low-cut cheer/dance sneakers/shoes and took in their surroundings. She saw something black, in the shape of triangle, rising up from over on of the large snow covered hills. Upon closer assessment through slitted eyes, she saw it was a small, wooden, abandoned cabin. She smirked and waited for Derik to return to tell him of her findings.

(Sorry it’s taken so long to respond…)
Eventually Derik returned, carrying two backpacks, another one on his shoulders. He dropped the two at her feet and nodded to them. “It’s everything I could find that could be useful, and a few things we can do for fun, to take our mind off things…” He was shivered harder, though he’d taken a coat from a corpse to wear. It had clearly shaken him to go into the bus. He began listing things they would need. “We’ll have to focus on food and shelter. Water is all around, clearly…What’s that look for?” He stopped speaking, staring at Lavignia. She was smirking like she knew something he didn’t…

((It's OK :D ))
"Thanks," Lavignia said and nodded at him. Though she doubted there was anything 'fun' they could do to forget about what they had just been through, she was thankful for the effort. For a second longer she stared at the sight of the cabin, making sure it wasn't just a mirage. Turning her head back to him, which caused her bright red hair to momentarily fall in her eyes, Lavignia smiled slightly.
"We've got shelter covered," she simply said, bent down, and pulled both large backpacks over her shoulders and began marching to the cabin, keeping it just in her sight so that they wouldn't get lost. Not bothering to tell him what she meant by her statement, she kept her eyes locked a head of her and showed no emotion on her face. Now was the time for her to be strong, to show she was dealing just fine thank you very much.
Lavignia had always been extremely intelligent, but you didn't reveal that to the crowd she was in. She kept her grades a secret, always feigning an "I don't care" manner about her report card and pretending she got C's and B's (which would still keep her on and captain of the dance squad). She knew that if they could get to the cabin, which most likely contained some sort of nonperishable or still edible foods, they'd be set, at least for a while.

”Gah!” Derik sputtered, shifting the other backpack. “H-Hey!” He followed after her, snatching one of the backpacks away. “You could be in shock.” He muttered, then added a bit quieter, “It’s hard to tell with the whole cold bitch thing.”
It didn’t take him long to spot the cabin either, though he frowned. “This isn’t a good idea Lavignia. We don’t know how long that’s been there. It could be rotted through…” That was the only argument Derik gave though, and when they reached it, he glanced over the wood. Yeah, it made sense. Bacteria had just as hard of a time growing in cold as it did heat. The wood wasn’t rotten at all. Maybe, just maybe, there was actually someone inside the thing, though shutters on the inside were closed tightly, most likely for insulation.
Derik glanced to his classmate, before stepping over to the door and shoving it open to look around.

Anger grew in Lavignia at Derik's comment. She dropped the other bag he hadn't snatched away, turned on her heel, and glared at him. "Maybe I just have a different way of dealing with it, jackass," she snarled and grabbed the bag he took. She took the one she had dropped as well and easily put them back over her shoulders. She had the muscles to carry them and wouldn't let him think she needed his help for anything.
"If you want to stay out here in the cold, by my guest. A little rot is better than below freezing temperatures," Lavignia replied nonchalantly. When they got to the cabin, she was very self-satisfied to find out it wasn't rotted at all. One corner of her lip curled up in a smirk, but she wiped it off her face instantly so Derik wouldn't make another stupid comment about it.
Stepping inside, Lavignia glanced around. To saw it was tiny was an extreme under statement. They had stepped into the smallest of small living rooms. A leather Lazy-boy recliner, a fair sized fire place which took up most of the room, a wooden coffee table, a rug, and a few book cases made the room seem nearly full. There was only a tiny bit of walking space, just enough to go from room to room. There was an arch way on the right side of the room, which looked like it led to the kitchen, and a door on the wall adjacent to them, probably going to a bedroom.
Raising a perfectly plucked eyebrow, Lavignia shook her head and began thinking about where they would sleep, seeing as there was probably only a small bed and the recliner.

(I'm sorry, it may be just a bit before I'm able to respond again. I'm kinda broke and need to get a better internet connection anyway, and get rid of this stupid cricket thing. Sooo, Im'ma save up for a bit. Please forgive me?)
"Well, your different way shouldn't be getting mad at other people! We may as well try to get along. So, if you'd just lower yourself to my level for a bit princess, we'll do just fine." Derik snapped back, glaring at the female. "I'd prefer to make sure it's stable before we go tromping on it, alright? At least someone is trying to do this the smart way!"
Derik followed behind her, looking around at their new surrondings. After a moment, he slipped past Lavignia, brushing against her accidently. He moved to the table, setting the backpack down gently. That would be the hardest part of staying here, the lack of space. It would be hard to avoid conflict and brushes against each other in the tiny areas and walkways.
He moved to the bedroom door, opening it and peeking around. It was a small room as well, a dresser and bed taking up most of the space. There was a hamper, and a nightstand crammed in the area, as well as an extremely tiny desk. There was only the small pathway to the bed that everything else branched off of. He sighed. He'd been hoping there would be at least two beds, but from the look of the place, there was only one bedroom. He turned around, glancing at the girl. "One bed," He reported, before nodding to the recliner. "I'll sleep there, and you can have the bed. I can pass out anywhere..." He offered, Derik's tone making it clear he was attempting to make the tiny spat up to her.

((Don't worry about it! Just update when ya can :) ))
"Don't call me princess," Lavignia spat back at him, her words laced with deadly venom and hidden threats. Her foster father once tried calling her that, and the result was him getting kicked where the sun doesn't shine. Needless to say, he learned not to try to baby her. The red head closed her eyes for a moment, taking three deep breaths. That was what her yoga teacher had taught her, to take deep breaths when a situation got tense. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it made her more angry.
Every comment Derik threw at her made Lavignia that much closer to snapping. She was a ticking time bomb and the small space in the cabin didn't help that. "When it comes to us freezing to death or living, I don't think we should be picky." Lavignia replied, rolling her eyes for added effect, but she sighed to herself and followed him to the bedroom.
Oh great. Lavignia thought, staring at the tiny bed. She was about to offer him the bed when he beat her to the punch, but instead of arguing like she usually would have, she just nodded and offered him a semi-apologetic smile. "Thanks. I'm going to check if the water is running," she said, her tone a notch softer. A door on the left side of the bedroom opened up into a bathroom, and she walked in it slowly.
Like every other aspect of the house, it was tiny. A surprisingly nice sink, toilet, and shower, took up nearly every square inch of the room. Walking to the bathroom, her delicate hand reached forward and, with a few yanks, turned the knob to the left. Brown water sputtered out of the faucet, making Lavignia gag. However the water soon turned to clear, both that and the fact that it worked surprising her. "Hey, the water works!" She shouted out to Derik letting her hand run through the steady stream of water.

Derik followed her, after tugging out a few items from the bag. He poked his head in, grinning for a moment. "Cool. You might wanna check to make sure there aren't any leaks or wet spots in the floors. Pipes can bust a lot when it's cold." His cousin was a plumber, and worked with things like this all the time. He hesitated, glancing at her and remembering her tiny peace offering. Slowly, it dawned on him he should do the same.
"Uhm, if you'd like to, I mean..." His gaze dropped to the floor, and he shuffled into the kitchen. In it, there was a tiny table that seemed to take up the whole room, and a few counters. Derik opened the tap on the sink, then checked under it. There were no droplets spilling from the pipes, and he nodded.
Soon, the male moved around, opening cabinets. "Hey...there's a little bit of food, some rice...flour..." He moved to the refrigerator that was groaning rather loudly, and opened it, feeling sick right away. He turned away, letting the door shut. "Ugh...T-there's meat too...but it doesn't seem so good..."
