Hello there! This thread here is for Larxene and Mira-Charma13 only. So please do not post in here. The only other accounts allowed to post in here are our mule accounts if we decide to do so. This is a yaoi romance based role play, so if you do not enjoy reading yaoi, you might want to walk away from this thread.

The plot (Mira's idea):
A freshman college student is assigned a room in his/her college dorms that is rumored to be haunted by the majority of the school. A student from the time when the college was actually a Jesuit Seminary was apparently murdered in that room. There is truth to the rumors, as the freshman discovers...

West Loyola University was well-known for several things. It was a prestigious college with hints of underlying religious themes, left over from its past history as a major Jesuit Seminary. It was the site of a major scandal in the '50s--its dean was caught sleeping with a male student on campus. This brought more attention to the school.

Another thing it was known for was being haunted.

There were no official records to prove it, but rumors passed around on campus stated that during the time the school was a Jesuit Seminary, a young man was brutally murdered in one of the dorm rooms. Room 45-C, in the third on-campus dormitory building, to be exact. He was beaten, possibly sexually abused, and hung from the rafters of the room with a metal meat hook. He bled to death--it was a slow, painful death.

Students, since then, have been afraid to stay in this room. It's why it's often empty...

A sigh fell past his lips. One bag being held within each of his hands while a backpack hung from his back, Key stood outside the very dorm room, 45-C, that he was to be taking for his first school year at this college. Of course, he had been "warned" and offered the chance to take another room if he did not wish to take this one, all because of the silly stories he heard about it. Key honestly just laughed it off, thinking the stories were nothing more than jokes. And so now, here he was, placing one bag down to fish out his dorm room key he had been given. It was a bit creepy though to say that he'd be staying in a room where a poor person had been killed in many years ago, but he told himself that it would be fine, that he'd forget all about it within the next few days.

Opening the door and holding it open with his foot, Key bent down to pick up the bag he had placed down for the moment before he made his way into the room, a smile appearing on his face as his eyes landed upon the bed. It was so good to see it, after his day of packing, saying goodbyes to his parents and neighborhood friends, then traveling to the college.

Key would shut the door behind him before pocketing his room key back into his jeans. Bags would be left off to the side, as well as his backpack. Key's back would land on the bed as he flopped over onto it, his eyes staring up at the ceiling before him. Getting in a nap seemed like a good idea. Then maybe he'd go out and get himself something to eat before getting his class schedule, list of books and objects he'd need, then unpacking his own stuff.

The ghost of 45-C was normally not too active during the day, according to rumors. In that sense, they were quite accurate. Rand, the real ghost, spent the day resting, and silently wandering the campus in search of something interesting to look at or do. Today, however, he was in the room, dozing off in one of the corners.

Because of how deep and intimidating his voice was, he was much more easily heard than seen, though he left bitterly cold patches in his wake sometimes. So, he wasn't worried about wandering the school during the day, especially in winter when the cold was easily explainable.

He was, of course, startled when he heard a key in the lock, and was jolted out of sleep. Curiously, he watched as a young male stepped into the room. Idly, he wondered if he had been warned about having an invisible roommate during his stay. He looked like a freshman...typical--a freshman who though the rumors were a complete load of junk.

He didn't 'haunt,' per se. He attempted to communicate. He didn't provoke this human...he looked tired, like he wanted to nap. So, he stood up, watching the bed like a hawk and waiting for him to fall asleep. He wanted to quickly peek through what he had brought with him.

Unknown to him, Key was not alone in this new room for the year. He was currently in a state of tiredness, wanting nothing more than to fall into a few hour type of slumber. And soon, within about ten minutes, Key's eyes would flutter shut and a calm would overcome him. This was apparently the time, still unknown to Key, that another presence began to move around as well as going through his own things that he brought with him to college. The only movements that Key would make would be slight shifting in his sleep before a few mumbles fell past his lips, barely audible.

Thud!

Somewhere in the middle of Key's slumber, the male had moved to roll himself over, though his body had rolled towards the edge, where he would end up falling and land on the floor below, landing front first. "Zzz. . ." However, Key did not wake up. He continued on sleeping.

Rand spent the next few minutes delicately searching through the newcomer's belongings. He found some clothing, and a few textbooks...for now, nothing major in the bags he was searching through.

He nearly jumped out of his nonexistent skin when a loud thump came from over near the bed, and when he spun around, he saw that the boy had fallen out of his bed, and was laying face-first on the floor.

Despite himself, Rand could not help laughing. His low, deep chuckle reverberated throughout the room--it couldn't be heard outside of the room, but inside...? Sure. It was loud enough.

A soft groan would finally fall past Key's lips as the Freshman began to stir from his short nap. His eyes would blink a few times rapidly at first as he tried to adjust to the light or lack of light that was in the room. "How did I get on the floor?" He'd ask himself, with a soft voice just before a yawn would escape him.

Key would push himself up onto his hands and knees, taking a moment to move his body, giving a soft cracking to his back as he stretched. His state of mind was still a little fuzzy. The male would bring himself up fully onto his knees before swinging his arms onto the side of the bed, using it to hoist himself up onto his feet before another yawn escaped him.

"Hm?" From the corner of his eye, Key took notice to his bag being open. "Did I. . . forget to zip up my bag?" He would reach up with one hand, scratching at the side of his head as he took a moment or two to think it over. No, he was sure he had zipped them all up. With a slight shrug, Key moved over to the open bag (or bags if more than one had been opened up) and proceed to close them again.

Rand immediately stepped back, away from the pile of luggage. In his wake, and because he was a bit wary, seeing as his laughter was what had probably woken the student, he left a massive patch of frigid air...so different from the mild temperature of the room.

He settled on the other side of the room, bored eyes fixed on his new roommate. He tended to be very jealous of the living, at times...but he felt no hostility towards this one in particular. Probably because he hadn't heard him complaining about how awful his life was, or being generally irritating.

He couldn't stand people like that.

"Huh. . . ?"

Key blinked a few times as he felt the sudden change in the temperature from the air. Was the room window left cracked open? Key would glance over his shoulder, eyes landing upon the two windows of the room and gave a soft frown. They were both closed. So what had caused the change in temperature just then?

Possibly just one of those freak kind of things.

He would give a faint nod to himself before he'd push himself back up onto his feet. Well. . . he supposed he could go out now and get a start on what he had planned for him to do. And as if he needed any other form of encouragement, Key would hear his stomach give out a light rumble. A chuckle would follow suit.

"Alright, alright. I'll feed you." He'd lightly pat his stomach before checking his pockets, making sure he had his dorm room key and his wallet. Once this was taken cared of, Key would make his way out of his room and down the hallway once he shut the door behind him.

Rand was curious about the new arrival, and was tempted to follow him. But because he had already come so close to being discovered, he decided it was much safer to stay put. Instead, he returned to his previous task--sifting through the luggage. It took a lot of energy to even peek inside the bags and suitcases, but his curiosity drove him forward.

Naturally, because of this, the room remained ice-cold as he continued his snooping. Rand was amused by some of the things he found--he took care to notice what brands of food, cleaning supplies, and items for personal hygiene that Key kept, for some reason.

When he finished, he awaited the freshman's return...he'd taken care to close up all of the bags, but had forgotten about the temperature of the room.

The late afternoon / early evening went about as Key figured it would go, with a few small changes here and there as the events played out. He fed his hungering stomach, got himself his schedule for the first half of his school year, grabbed himself a campus map to look over once he got back to his room, and even went to the head office to make a comment about the sudden chilliness he felt awhile ago in his room. They told him they'd look into it but. . . the look on their faces made him cock a brow in question but he just shrugged it off for now and went back up to his room.

Fishing out his dorm room key, the Freshman would open his door and push it open. He was about to take his first step when the wave of cold air hit him in the face, then the rest of his front. A wave of shivers erupted down his body. "D-Damn, why is it so cold in here?"

Closing the door behind him, Key felt another wave of shivers go up and down his body before he moved over to his bed, taking a seat on the edge of it. He glanced around the room, trying to see if there was some sort of hole he didn't notice before, or possibly a crack in the window that needed to be fixed. However, he'd come out empty.

Rand almost cursed under his breath when he realized that he'd forgotten about the temperature of the room--instead, only a small, irritated grumble passed through his lips. It was bound to have been heard, due to how quiet it was in the room.

He was still on the other side of the room. His prescence itself generated cold air...so where he was, the air was the coldest...touching him, though nothing solid was felt most of the time, also made the one touching him tense, and sent a tingling sensation shooting up his or her veins.

He watched Key ponder the temperature of the room, checking the windows and everything to check for breaches...

Key blinked a few times, cocking a brow in confusion as it seemed like the temperature had gone down. . . and soon after he had just made a comment about it too. Key, honestly, was now starting to get a bit freaked out over this room. He shook his head gently, trying to keep himself calm. "N-Nah, it's just all a coincident, that's all." Yeah, that had to be it. There was nothing else that it could have been.

Though, that little "assurance" that Key tried to give himself wasn't doing too well anymore for him. Especially when he had heard what sounded like some sort of grumble. Perhaps it was just someone in one of the rooms his own was wedged between? Yeah, that seemed plausible. He would have another wave of shivers go up his body though before finally he picked himself up off his bed, moving over to his bags yet again to put away his schedule and map. But while he was opening his bag, a frown would touch upon his lips.

"I. . . I feel like someone's been through my stuff." There was no way he could no for sure if someone had been, but it was just the feeling people got, like they felt like another presence had been in the room before they arrived or that something they owned had been touched but nothing looked like it had been moved. Nothing more than a paranoid feeling.

Eyes would glance around the room once again. He tried his best to focus on the temperature as well again, seeing as that was the main point in this that was freaking him out somewhat. Key would bring himself onto his feet once more before walking around the room, coming to a stop when he reached a certain spot in the room. It was colder than the rest of the room. "What the. . . ?" Unknown to him, he was standing before Rand.

Rand knew that he should probably move away from Key, before he discovered that this particular area was the center point of the cold seeping into the room. But for some reason, he willed himself to stay still.

He had never been a social sort of person when he was alive--indeed, he kept himself away from people, becoming a hermit, in a way. But ever since he had died, he felt this nagging need to make contact, to let people know he was still alive. This room had been his, long ago.

He watched Key's reaction for just a few seconds, before he reached out. His invisible hand came to rest on Key's shoulder.

"W-Wha. . . !"

It wasn't like something had been seen by him to touch his shoulder, but he was positive that something had just touched him on his shoulder. Key turned himself around on his heels, glancing around the room once again, trying to spot the source that possibly had touched his shoulder. But he didn't see anything. What if. . . ?

"Are the rumors true?" He'd speak, mostly to himself as his eyes still scanned the room, now hoping a bit for some sort of a sign to come to him again to confirm his current thought.

Rand jumped, just as startled as Key. He wasn't used to getting such a strong reaction from people, unless they were hypersensitive to the paranormal. Was this freshman one of them?

Rand reached out and tapped his shoulder a few more times, experimentally, as if to say... 'Look! I'm here, I'm here! Right here!' He kept his hand on Key's shoulder after tapping it a few times, hoping he would follow the bitter cold to its source.

Again, Key would jump as he suddenly felt the feeling of something or someone tapping on his shoulder. But yet, as far as he could see, he was the only one standing in the room. Then once the tapping was over, it felt like something was resting on his shoulder. "H-Hello?" He'd call out absentmindedly. Then without another thought, he would mumble, "Are the rumors true?"

Was there a better way for them to communicate if this really was the ghost of the dead student he was warned about? With a thought crossing his mind, Key would move away from where he had been standing and moved back over to his bags, opening one up before rummaging through it furiously, in search for something. Soon Key would be pulling out a pad of paper along with a pen before he'd make his way back to where he had been standing. "Can. . . Can you write?" If it could touch his shoulder (and possibly open his bags if that had been the spirit), it could hold a pen and write on the paper, right?

Rand's brow furrowed, and he suddenly felt a bit hopeless. Lifting a pen was a bit much for him...unless...

He took his hand off of Key's shoulders, and then returned to his luggage, opening up one of the larger bags. Inside was an old, hefty, bulky microwave that Key had brought from home to use here at his dorm, in case he needed an in-room meal one night. It would give off a lot of spare electricity once it was plugged in...and if it was used, he could use the energy much more efficiently. He tapped the microwave a few times--only a few of these taps could be heard, but the sound was distinct.

Key blinked and stood there, pen and pad of paper still within his hands as he watched suddenly that his bag was being fiddled with. . . and there wasn't a body over there that he could see. With slightly widen eyes, Key watched as his carry-microwave had been pushed through the other stuff within his bag and suddenly was being tapped against. The male cocked a brow, a bit confused before he walked over to the bag.

"You. . . want me to plug this in and use it?"

How would the spirit tell him if he was getting it right or not on what he wanted Key to do? Ah, a thought crossed his mind for a solution. "Pat my shoulder once for no and twice for yes." It could still tap on his shoulder, right?

Firmly, Rand lifted his hand and brought it down on Key's shoulder, twice...semi-hard, so that he was sure the taps would go through. A hard tap from Rand was like a soft tap from someone who was living.

Hopefully, that microwave would give off enough excess energy that Rand would be able to use it to materialize. He was sure that his voice could already be heard, faintly...but he was aware that it would be much easier to communicate if a source of excess energy was nearby.

Giving a nod to confirm he understood what the spirit wanted, Key would drop his pen and paper back into his bag before picking up his oven, moving over to the first outlet his eyes landed on to plug it in. Then, once he had it set up right and was plugged into the wall's outlet, Key would press in a long amount of time - about an hour - and it let it go off and start up.

Key would pick himself up and stand on his feet once more before turning around, letting his eyes roam around the room, as if he was in search for this spirit or just something in general that he felt was suppose to happen now that the microwave was on and running.

As the old microwave began to give off excess heat and energy, a white mist slowly began to form where Rand was standing. It took a few minutes, and some more excess heat from the microwave, before a very transparent, but very visible figure began to appear before Key.

Rand was still wearing his clothes, from the night he was murdered. A long, plain black robe, torn around the bottom, the edges of the hood frayed away.

". . . !!"

Key, startled, would jump back a bit as now widen eyes would stare at the image of Rand before him, wearing a ripped up black robe. "Y-You're. . . !" He couldn't believe it. There was no way he'd believe it to be true if he hadn't been seeing it with his own two eyes right now. "No way. . ." Key would take a step or two forward, extending his hand out again towards Rand.
