Reno moved through the forest with a quiet ease. He was moving away from the pack's meeting place, and towards the town where maybe he could relax. This time it was Sabrina. His pack just would not rest until he picked his mate. The only probably was that none of the pack's females called to him. Well, not literally they were all of course trying to get his attention.

This posed to be a huge problem though. The werewolf population was declining. The only way a werewolf could breed was with their bondmate, and more and more wolves were not finding their mates. "Why can't things just be easy..?" He murmured, as he took his first steps back into the small town. He was headed towards the closest tavern..

Emily was walking to the flower shop were she had now been working at for over a year. She was excited because today she was going to get paid so she could now help her parents with the bills of the house. Her mother Elizabeth always encouraged her daughter to try to find a rich man to marry so that she would no longer be poor and be a happy rich woman with lots of children. Emily some how did not find that to be fulfilling she wanted that but she also wanted to help people she wanted to help the poor and the sick. She did want to fall in love and get married and have children but she wanted there to be much much more then that. She smiled to herself as she walked into the small town.

Reno was not watching were he was going. His eyes were brooding as he kept thinking about his pack and what would befall them if a solution was not found soon. Most of the wolves wished to live within the forest, but a few, like himself, had decided to become members of the village. He was the son of the previous Alpha, and the only blacksmith of the village. It was no coincidence that their shop sold no weapons made of silver. In fact, they never worked with silver, and luckily no one had bothered to question this as silver was not very common within the village.

His thoughts were suddenly inturrupted, as something thudded into his chest, causing him to take a few steps back and blink in confusion. His pale eyes suddenly caught sight of the young girl he had bumped into, and Reno reached out to keep her from falling. "I'm sorry," He said, embarressed. "I was not watching where I was walking. Are you alright?"

Emily blushed deep red " I am so so sorry Sir I did not mean to walk into you I was deep in thought please forgive me" She stated embarrassed. She looked at the handsome man and blushed a bit. She hopped he would not get mad at her for bumping into her. " Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" She asked while still blushing

He gave her a small smile. "No, that won't be neccesary. I believe it was my fault as well." Reno paused for a moment, not sure of what to say. He did not speak to the women of their small town very often. He stayed mostly at his store, or the nearby tavern, but he still knew what they thought of him. He knew that when the bar wenches told him how handsome he was, that they were not lying merely to get a bigger tip.

The girl before him smelled strongly of flowers. "Perhaps I should accompany you to your destination, and make sure you get there safely?" He offered, his tone teasing, but friendly. "If that is acceptable to you, of course."

" Thank you that would be nice" She stated in a kind friendly voice. She was glad that he was not a jerk to her like so man other men. " I am sorry my manners must be on a vacation My name is Emily Smith what is your name if I may ask" She stated as she looked into his eyes she had never seen anyone with his shade color of eyes she was intrigued by his eyes and his handsome face. She was smiling on the inside she hopped that he would not see her blush

Reno clasped his hands behind his back as he walked beside the young woman. "Of course, my name is Reno." He answered, looking down at her pretty face. He could see the hint of a blush across her cheeks, and he smiled charmingly. "I'm the blacksmith here." He offered, as he looked about them curiously. The wind had shifted slightly, and he thought he had caught smell of.. well something inticing.

Emily looked at him in shock a bit " Wow a blacksmith I herd that is an extremely tedious job....you look so full of energy" She stated as she looked into his eyes. " I herd it makes you tired and that you work long hours each day I could never do that job even if I were a man." She stated as she began to imagine herself as a man doing that type of work " May I see any swords that you have made?" She asked blushing some more.

"Swords, huh?" He looked at her curiously, but smiled. "I suppose, as long as I don't get into trouble for taking such a pretty young woman into my shop alone." He teased, leading her towards the rather large stone building that served as his shop, and home within the town. His forge was only covered with a roof, and had one wall, so it was mostly exposed to the elements. But that meant that it was also well ventilated.

"This is my forge, where I work the metal." He explained, as they stepped beneath the roof. He reached into one of the pockets of his long black coat, and pulled out a key ring, to which he used to unlock the door before them. "And this is my shop." He said, as he beckoned her inside.

Emily nodded as she stepped inside she saw beautiful swords and axes well beautiful as the design on them then she saw one and gasped " My grandmother showed me this sign before its the one of the werewolves.....She read me stories about them when I was real young.....I know they are not real but I am surprised to see this here of all places. " She stated as she looked at her refection on the blade. She then turned around and blushed " you must think I am like a young child?" She stated as her blush grew to a deeper shade of red

Reno walked with her around his shop as she looked at his work. His father had passed away several months ago, and most of his work had been replaced with Reno's now. But when she stopped at one of his father's swords, he was surprised to find out that she recognised the tribe's symbol. He suddenly grew thoughtful as she examined the sword. It was unheard of for humans to know anything of the werewolves' culture. "Of course not." Reno murmured with a small smile.

He walked up to her and put his hands on the sword; gently taking it from her. He walked a little ways from her as he examined the sword. It is definetly father's work.. He thought, as he widened his stance and gave it a few practice swings. He chuckled as he brought the sword back up. "This sword is one my father made. I believe it is one of his older pieces." Reno explained as he came back to her side and placed the sword back in its spot on the wall. "I must admit that I am surprised that a young woman like yourself is interested in swords at all."

" Do not get me wrong they scare me after all they take lives.....but I read about them in books....Its entrusting its like they come alive off the pages of one of my books." She stated and smiled at him. She then noticed that the clock tower began to chime " I must leave I will be late for work....My boss will kill me..." She stated as she began to panic a bit " Thank you for showing me these swords...they look wonderful " She stated smiling as she began to Walk towards the door she turned around and looked into his eyes " It was nice meeting you" She then walked out the door into the fresh morning air.

"Goodbye.." He murmured, as she quickly left his store. Reno stood there for a moment watching the door. There's that smell again.. He suddenly looked around, before a thought hit him. He turned back to the sword and lifted it from the wall. He carefully held the sword in his hands, bringing the handle to his face. It IS her..! The shock showed on his handsome face. But.. She's not a werewolf, how could this be? He could still smell her, and he wondered how he hadn't noticed it before. He had to see her again.

Emily forgot her purse in Reno's shop She could not get it hopefully he would be kind enough to bring it to her flower shop. She walked into the flower shop after running 2 blocks she was tired " Good morning " She stated as she grabbed her apron " This will never happen again I swear to you " Her boss turned to her " If it were not for the fact that your parents had died and your one year old brother depends on you...I would have fired you long ago get to work" She stated as she watered some roses. Emily nodded and did as she was told

He carefully fitted the sword back on the wall. Could this be why we aren't finding our mates? Could they be among the humans now..? He was deep in thought as he moved around his shop and settled into his chair. His heart beat in his ears. He was confused and a little shaky. Had he really found his mate? How can I explain this to the pack? He sighed unhapily. The females were not going to be pleased when he brought Emily into the pack. And that was another problem: how could he explain this to her?

His pale grey eyes roamed his store, as if it would give him some clue as to what he should do now. Reno frowned as his gaze settled on a small purse that lay on the floor. It must be Emily's.. He thought as he stood and walked over to it. He bent and picked the purse up. She had not said where she was going, but he had an idea.

He left his store, locking the door behind him. The flower shop was a few blocks away, and it didn't take him long before he pulled open the door and walked inside.

Emily herd the bell ring as it always did when someone opened the door. She finished u an order of roses that were going to a new mother. She smiled and kissed a rose for good luck to the new mother and child. She then walked to the front " Good mor....." She looked it was the handsome man from earlier " Hello how did you find me? OH my purse...you came all this way thank you .....you are so kind really" She stated smiling ear to ear.

He moved into the store, and smiled when Emily found him. "Yes, you left it behind." Reno moved close to her and took hold of one of her slender hands. He raised it up and placed the purse in her palm. "So you are a flower girl, hm?" His pale eyes glanced around the shop, and landed on the store's owner, whom was looking at him with surprise.

" yes I am....I love flowers...and it pays enough to support my brother and I" She stated as she glanced at her boss who left to go tend to some flowers. " I am very sorry about this you having to leave during your work hours and all" She stated as she looked down blushing a bit. " Is there anyway I can make it up to you? Maybe some roses for your wife or something " She stated she guessed a man as kind and as handsome as him would be married or engaged.....She then felt his hand touch her it felt like a shock...a nice one...she did not know what to make of it it made her feel weird inside. She hopped she did not have a dumb look on her face or something. She hoped her boss would not get to angry she had to get paid or her brother as well as herself would not eat or have no where to live.

He chuckled, as his gaze returned to Emily. "No thank you. I would have no one to give them too." He looked at her curiously. Only a brother? Does she have no other family members..? He looked thoughtful for a moment before giving her a small smile. "I know how you could repay me. How about you and your brother come to my house tonight for dinner?"

" That sounds wonder full but my brother is only 9 months so he is pretty unpredictable." She stated as she looked down at her feet for a second "So I understand If you would like to take your offer back now" She stated as she looked back up at him. Her brother was a sweet heart but he was learning to bit now and also make loud noises that would probably annoy anyone who was not use to children.
She then left her thought process to pay attention to the handsome Reno...." I am sorry for assuming " She stated as she looked a little blushed. She wondered how her little brother was doing she hopped he was not bothering the other children at her kind neighbor house who watches over him for nothing almost.

"No, my offer stands, and I will be expecting the two of you tonight." He told her. Reno lifted his hand, which still held hers, and gave it a light kiss; his pale blue eyes still on her face. He murmured a goodbye, and turned to leave. Before he knew it, Reno found himself back at his home; standing in the entrance hall. His graceful steps took him up the stairs and to his bathroom; where he preceded to get presentable. He decided that his work could wait until tomorrow, because tonight he was going to be busy preparing a dinner for his guests.

Emily blushed deep red ' wait crap ......I am poor I have nothing nice to wear.....oh well I can find something' She stated to herself "aghh!!!" Her boss smiled at her " where did you pull prince charming from?" Emily blushed and began to talk quickly thankfully he left and was not here to hear this " What!!! no you are mistaking I just met him please I am like a single mother what will he want with me...I am a poor girl raising her brother what do I have to offer ...nothing" She stated as she looked at her boss her boss looked at her and smiled " i believe in fairy tales so should you my dear" Emily blushed and went on about her work.

Reno stepped from the tub, water running down his lean body. He pulled his long dark hair over his shoulder and rug it out as he walked to his bedroom. Still nakid, he stalked over to his dresser and pulled out some clothes. It didn't take him long before he was dressed in a plain white top, and black trousers. He proceeded to come his hair with his fingers as he walked back downstairs to start dinner. He wasn't sure what time Emily got off work, but how late could the flower shop stay open? Not very long, I think. It was already growing dark outside, as Reno began sitting the table and putting the final touches on the nights dinner.
