"Keep your friends close,but, keep your enemies closer"

The titans have grown older. Raven, Robin, and Beastboy are the only ones left still fighting crime. Starfire went home to be queen and Cyborg went off to marry Bumblebee. Slade decides to kidnap Raven and threatens her unless Robin and beastboy come to his lair and bargan for her.




Slade looks at his monitor screens, he had Raven in a container with cuffs that blocked her powers completely. She would've been like any other human and her communicator wasn't with her either, it was acrossed the room. "Don't bother" Slade spoke knowing she was awake "You can't escape. You can join me and I will leave your friends in peace or I can kill them and let you watch" Slade spoke in his usual serious tone.

Staring at him Raven did not move. She would not speak nor would she submit. Raven would never use her powers for evil. She closed her eyes but it was no use. Her powers were completely blocked. How in the world would she ever get out of this. She decided for the time being to throw herself into a meditative trance. Perhaps she could manage to find a way out of this awful situation.

Robin banged on the computer console. Ravens tracker was not working. How would he fix this? He knew she had been kidnapped by slade but he did not know where slade was or how to get her back. "Where are you raven?" He asked the computer monitor. She was his best friend afterall.

Slade flips on a switch on his commputer keyboard. The titans tower appears on the screen and he takes a moment to check everything. He hit another switch that was blue and it brought up a connection between Robin and him. "Robin" his deep voice spoke through the speakers. He could see that Robin was frustrated.

Robin grinned. Slade. Perfect. Now to get Raven back. "Slade let her go. I will do anything you ask but let Raven go please." Robin found out a few years ago that boys were more of his liking and when starfire found out she took off to become queen of her home planet heartbroken. She was so sad. He could not do anything about that though. He liked her but he could never fall in love with a girl.

"Oh I know you will Robin, I know you will" Slade spoke and then waited a moment to let this sink it while he stated "You must come here with Beastboy if you want her back, i will send you the quadrants" Slade spoke sending them and cutting off their connection but not after he said "30 minutes"

Robin growled and got the cordinants. He turned on his com. "Beast boy come on we are going to rescue Raven." He looked up the cordinants on the map and figured out where they had to go. He got it rather quickly and going to his weapons arsinal he got all of the weapons he figured he would need. Now he could go rescue his friend.

Beastboy instantly ran out following Robin and said "Really?" his eyes lit up, Beastboy always like Raven alot, there was no doubt about that.

Slade turns off the computers and keeps his chair in the door with the computers off creating pitchblack darkness, Raven was in the container under one light which shown upon her as she meditated. Waiting for them to come, he was more than ready to see what they would offer and would let them chose first. He knew what he wanted and he was going to get it either way possible or impossible.

Robin smiled. "Yes lets go." He took off towards where slade was hiding. It only took about 20 minutes to get there on his motorcycle. Beastboy would be able to keep up he was sure with no problem. He opened the main door to slades hideout and looked around. The coast looked clear. He went inside and a guard made him follow him. When he walked into the main room he saw Raven and ran to her looking at her. He turned to Slade. "What have you done to her?"

Beastboy turned into a cheetah and followed Robin to wherever they were going to rescue Raven 'I hope she's okay' Beastboy thought to himself. He had also missed Starfire and wondered what would happen to her. Cyborg was busy with Bumblebee but he wished that they were a full team again. It was boring without starfire to make everyone feel happy, without Cyborg to challenge him, and if Raven was gone, Beastboy would be more upset than he was over Terra. Raven had helped Beastboy move on when Terra couldn't no longer remember whom she was before and he knew it would be best to leave her be. "Raven!" Beastboy called out running to where she was. Slade had turned in his chair after waiting for the past almost half an hour and said "Nothing, dear child, nothing yet" Slade spoke

Robin walked closer to where slade was located and stared at him a moment. "Ok then what do you want to free her? I will give you anything you want just let her go." Robin wanted his best friend to be free.

Suddenly Raven opened her eyes. She looked at Beastboy and Robin and let out a smile. "Do not fall for his trap robin. He wants you and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants." She would not control robin but she knew how selfless he was.

"She is right yet this will make an interesting conversation." Slade spoke wanting his apprentice back just like before but this time it had to be of more of his free will than force. This is the reason he kidnapped Raven and would begin the bargin for Raven "But if you do not wish to become my apprentice by will, then I can easily torture her" Slade spoke with a grin and you could tell by his voice that he was grinning. He had came close to killing and defeating the titans before, so why wouldn't he torture them all some more. Slade snapped his fingers and the case that held Raven was filled with electricity for 5s as she screamed and when it stopped she stopped, she was hugging her arms. "RAVEN!" Beastboy yelled turning into a mamoth and charging at Slade whom only sat there, he knew they would attack so he made a device that would act as a force feild and bounce him off of it back into a wall changing him back into his more human form.

After being shocked for quite an amount of time that to her seemed like eternity Raven felt her body falling apart. She felt as if she had been shot, stabbed and had her head smashed in all at once. She moaned from the pain. It felt so horrible. "Robin............"

Robin screamed hearing her voice. "FIne I will do anything you wish now let her go slade." He gritted his teeth as he said this. He just wanted her free right now. This was horrible.

"Do you swear you won't run? Because I can easily find and kill them both" Slade spoke with uncertainty in his voice on purpose and he looked at Raven again, about to hit a button on his chair again to send electricity back through her but he wouldn't do it again not yet.

Robin stared at Raven. "I swear I will go no where. I will do anything you tell me and I will never leave no matter what." He knew he had no choice. He had to help Raven. He could not leave her in pain like this. "Just please let her go." Robin stared at Slade his eyes narrowing to slits.

"Swear that you'll devote yourself to me and I will let her go along with the idiot back there" Beastboy still hadn't woken up but in time he would.

"Fine I swear. Anything you want. Just let her go." Robin could not take his eyes off of Raven. Inside he felt nothing but anger towards slade. He wanted to beat him to death until he grew up and started to understand he could not hurt Robins friends.

Slade pressed a button and Raven was set free "Go, take beastboy with you, and never come back or I will kill you all for eachother to watch slowly" Slade threatened not making it too much of a threat.
