"The Obvious isn't always Obvious"


Two best friends go on an adventure while camping, what they hadn't realized was that others would be there, not others as in living people, others as in ghosts and dead bodies. Now one of them protects the other one and gets killed. It was not murder, nor was it suicide, so if it wasn't those that caused the accident, then what exactly was it? And does this mean that the one who died can never live again? Or does this mean they are only half dead, while the one that lives can hear every word their friend of the dead says? Find out in "The Obvious isn't always Obvious"

Information- Specner is a local guy who leads a pretty normal life, he owns and workes a local meat Shop, He lives alone and usually spends most of his free time writing and hanging out with his life long friend. His folks died when he was younger and In college, he has no lover, no kids, and not even a cat, He only has One Friend and thats his family, aside from being normal, he on occasion hears things, voices, and gets headaches when this accurs, it is not very often and his doctor said it was a migrain disorder, pills helped, sometimes.

Emily was with Spencer the night they chose to hang out and take an adventure at the old haunted mansion on the cliff edge of the town. It was a full blue moon that night, clouds barely covering the stars above that shined and circled the moonlight. The weather was perfect autumn weather, Emily had been wanting to check this place out for 3 years unknown about anything that would happen.

Spencer gazed at the moon with his dear friend, and family, Emily. They have been friends all their loves it seemed, the did everything together, including nights like this where the decided to go on a late night adventure! Spencer loved finding new things, and out here you can see the stars so clear. They walked and talked about old times. "Hey, remember that time you dated that one guy.....?" Spencer smiled."Man, what his his name?" Spencer laughed again, he could not remember for the life of him.

(I'm sorry the intro was so short, I can't write something when people are blabbering away next to me)

"Wait, are you talking about Kori Pavilion? Or was it..." Emily was usually one to watch a show like Sailor Moon and wished her life was that way, a bit different, but, the finding true love part, so yea she dated alot of people, well except for Spencer. Spencer was like her older brother, so of course the feelings were revealed on both sides, Emily had finally reached the older haunted mansion's door step, though instead of going through the front, she was walking around to the back, more interesting there probably.

"No no..He was that really weird kid, that twitched I think...or maybe it was the one that smelled weird..." Spencer said with a laugh as he followed Emily towards the back. "Why are we sneaking in again?" Emily always wanted to do things like this, he loved it too, but he always saw Emily there more crazy one of the two. He tried to keep quite in case they were not alone, he hoped they weren't doing anything illegal.

"It has been 50 years since someone lived in this house. All those who lived in it before have died. The deaths didn't occur until around the 1920's it seemed. I did some research before hand as usual, no one lives here" turning around she smiled "And this is the best way to sneak it too"

Spencer smiled and laughed. "Well that's good, well not the [art of a bunch of dead people live here" He laughed again "Leave it to Emily to do something this creepy" He poked fun at his friend. "So like, are we looking for something?" They usually almost always found something valuable on these late night adventures, but this time, he was unsure of what they would look for in an old house.

(sorry short posts, I don't get a lot of time on here right now, my brother is over and he borrows my laptop until after dinner usually. Soon I will have to take my other brother outside, while another gets on here just fyi)

"Nah if I wanted creepy, we would be walking around the cemetery of those buried alive in the backyard" Emily grinned and added "I want to see if those rumors are true" basically she wanted to see if those that were dead, would come back and kill them or try to at least.

His eyes were wide. "Oh well thats nice to know." He said following her still, his head began to swim with voices and pain, he grabbed his pills from his left pocket and took two and hoped, he didn't like this, it was fun at first but now, he had a bad feeling in his gut, and he can never hear these voices clearly, so he has no idea if hes being warned....he shook his head, what was he thinking, he just had bad headaches...not voices....but who was he kidding.

(its OK, I have never done a ghost rp before so Im kinda just feeling my way around hahah my posts will get longer the more I get into character.)

(Makes two of us, I think I used to have a ghost in one but it went way off story)

Emily smiled and turned around, once turned she saw Spencer's expression and walked back over to him "Are you okay?" she was wondering if maybe she should have went alone, he normally wound up with headaches and wasn't sure if he should have been here. "Let's walk away from the house, lets check out the view, I know below this cliff is where the graveyard is below us"

Spencers head got a bit worse before she decided they should walk away from the house. "No, No, Im fine Im fine" He said to his friend. "Dont worry about me, lets just go look and be done with it" Spencer thought that if Emily found this graveyard soon, they would be leaving soon. Soon the voices he thought he heard were gone, they turned more into cries for help maybe...he took two more pills and pressed. Hoping they were almost there.

Emily knew how to pick locks, but, locks this old were too easy for her as she got in the house. "There. I want to check out the basement and the attic" she smiled, she only ever wanted to, no reason to check out anything else. It wouldn't be any more interesting than that.

"Right Ok, you lead the way then" He said ignoring his headache. The pain came and went, it was all haywire in his mind like a lose wire in a building. It sucked and it hurried. "Lets just make this fast then ok?" He said following His friend. As he did so he thought he saw someone. "Whoah!" He said almost falling backwards. "Did you see that?! That girl!? Di you see her?!" He said frantically.

Emily turned around, a curious confused look on her face "Hm? See what?" she wasn't sure what he had just seen but wondered if he was seeing things or maybe the ghosts did exist. "No I didn't, I will be right back" she wondered down a long hallway heading up to the attic, when not finding anything she went to the basement but it was locked. "Okay well since no one lives here" she spoke as she saw no lock on her end, she lifted her leg trying to kick it down, then her eyes went wide "crap crap" she was bouncing on one leg while holding the other one "who the hell has a metal door in there house" she complained.

Spencer followed her anyways, he was sure there was girl in the house and he knew it, he was not crazy. He went to the basement "Are you alright?" He asked, just then any kind of light that was in the house went out and he saw that girl again, he didnt like this one bit. "Um, I think we should leave" He then started seeing more than one person. " I dont think were alone..." He said, just then he felt or heard a sharp ringing noise in his ears, or head, he feel to his knees, closing his eyes and covering his ears. The room was spinning and he saw different faces, was this a warning? He finally yelled. "Just leave me alone!" He has never told Emily about him seeing things, he kept it a secret most his life, noone knew, if they did he would be locked up in a nut house.

Emily looked over and realized he was in pain or something odd was going on "Thats it, lets get going" Emily helped him up and forced him to go outside, once there the door shut and locked behind them, Emily kept running as the things chased her and not Spencer, leaving him behind she saw the cliff, stopping at the last moment she looked behind her, they were slowly getting ready to attack. "You won't get this chick" and she fell backwards off the edge "Sorry Spencer!" she yelled and the echo was all that remained as the ghosts receded to where they had came from. Emily lay below, unable to be seen, a lake was below but she fell and rolled over to a cave where she couldn't be seen but safe from drowning.

Spencer doesn't remember when or how but soon he was out of the house. That's when the pain got worse but they were after Emily. Not him. That's when he saw Emily jump. He got up and ran after her stopping at the cliff he didn't see her. "No...
Emily!!!!!" He yelled. Then he started to cry. He just lost his best friend ..

"What are you crying for Spencer? I am right here" Emily stood next to him as if she was really there and waited to hear why he was crying, she hadn't realized she was dead at all, nor the fact that anything that would touch her would be going right through her. Very few ghosts were solid and those were the kind that didn't need food, sleep, or anything to move on.

Spencer jumped when he saw her. She was...dead. Emily dnt even know. Should he tell her? No. He would wait. There was no way he could Just tell her she was dead...not yet. "Um nothing I thought I saw something " he lied. "Lets go ..." he said walking passed her. She would figure it out on her own. Which will be better then him trying to explain it to her. She wouldn't believe him now anyways.

Emily looked around "where did all those stranger ghosts go?" Emily asked curiously as they were now gone. The full moon was high above them in the sky, very bright blue, as the clouds barely covered it and the stars sparkling like glitter.

Spencer looked around and he too saw that all those ghosts were gone. And he knew it was because Emily was dead. "Um what ghosts? " he said acting like he never saw them in the first place.

"oh come on, you know they were there, I wouldn't have jumped off that freaking cliff if you didn't see them either" Emily spoke as she realized what she just said and stated bluntly "I'm dead aren't I?"

Spencer just paused. "Are you emily? Do you think your dead? " he asked her. If she figured it out this fart then he would soon have to explain himself to her. "Yes I saw them and yes I watched you jump." He said wiping away old tears. Its not a surprise she knew already most ghosts know right away.

"Of course I am, why else would I be floating a couple inches off the ground or how about the fact that I know I am dead because I jumped to get away from the ghosts. I might be a freak or weirdo sometimes but I think I know when I am dead" even though Emily had never been dead before. "If I can't find a way to live once more, I can at least see how powerful being a ghost is, but, I need you to do something for me"
