The Perils of Hogwarts - A Private Roleplay
http://www.menewsha.com/forum/pictur...pictureid=9835 Drawn by Prince Zaire from GaiaOnline September 1, 2008 - Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry An elderly man with half-moon spectacles and long snowy white hair, dressed in maroon robes with a large black hat, stood up from the center of the Grand Table in the Great Hall of Hogwarts and cleared his throat, "Good evening my young students, and welcome back to another term of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I would like to welcome our transfer student, Anastasia Van Orsenhoven." turning to the Gryffindors he added with a smile, "Make her feel welcome Gryffindors." As the young girl walked over to the Gryffindor table, there were murmors of where she came from but only Professor Dumbledore knew the truth, and he refused to divulge such information. This, unfortunately, led to much speculation. However, Saiyuri Rumeti, a 5th year Ravenclaw Prefect, decided to find out the truth herself once Dinner had been served. Moments passed before the Great Hall was quiet once more. Prof. Dumbledore then clapped his hands together and the tables filled with piles of food such as Stuffed Turky, Glazed Ham, Mashed Potatoes smothered in butter, gravy of all sorts, and Pumpkin Juice. The students immediately dug into their tables food for they were quite famished after their long train rides. And with the sound of forks and glasses clanging, the new Hogwarts School year began. Who knows what might happen, maybe something.. mysterious and unexpected. Only you can decide at The Perils of Hogwarts. ![]() ![]() |
Anastasia Van Orsenhoven
Age: 15 Personality: Slightly insane and obsessive, Anna never backs down from a challenge or fight, or an insane plan for that matter. The more stupid a situation is, the more fun she is having. She has a bit of a stalkish nature, following around people whom she likes and mingling into their lives without their knowing. Brimming with confidence, curiosity and the need to be mysterious, she is usually staring at people from behind a magazine. Anna's "bland" appearance - she looks uncommonly "normal" - helps her in her stalking ways, because people seem to miss her walking around in a crowd. .::Appearance::. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...naHogwarts.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../Anna_Doll.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...AnnaNormal.png Hair: Bright brown hair that moves pretty much wherever it wants to move. She usually keeps it quite messy, keeping it out of her face with a cutesy hairband. Eyes: Light brown with a devious gleam to them. Facial look: An oval shaped face with a small, slightly turning upward nose and thin lips. She seems friendly enough at first sight. Body build: Fairly flat-chested with narrow hips, waist and shoulders which allows her to slip through pretty much all cracks. She stands at about 5'5". Top: Simple T-shirts, prefereably with a not too deep V-neck cut and centered. She loves to wear simple jeans or leather jackets, too. Colours are prefereably red, organe or yellow. Warm, sunny colours. Bottoms: She loves wearing jeans, prefereably black. She also likes bootleg pants, or any more "dressy" black pants that feels loose and comfortable around her legs. Accesoires: Her glasses; she has two pair of identical glasses, although the frame of one is red while the frame of the other is an orangy-yellow. She also almost always wears a headband - any size, design or colour will do. Other than that she loves wearing anklebands and cooky earrings. History: to be added |

Food, glorious food! Anna's eyes roamed the table as she was trying to think of what to get first - it all seemed so delicious. As she tried to pace herself, she took a lengthy sip from her pumpkin juice, only to squeal and it's delicious taste.
By the time she noticed the people in her neighbourhood staring, she was already starry-eyed with bliss. "Um... are you alright?" One of the first years eyed her wearily, and she gave the young boy a wide grin in reply. "Just peachy-keen. I've never had anything this yummy before!" He kept on looking oddly at her, but she really didn't mind. None of the older Gryffindor students had beckoned her over, so she had simply taken place at the end of the Gryffindor table, and was now, apparently, scaring the first years with her bliss. Anna shrugged a little when noticing they weren't the only ones staring, and instead, folded her hands together, thanked the goddess for her luck, and dug in. "Ooh, some of this, and some of that... YUM!" |
Saiyuri smiled as the first years looked at the piles of food in wonder. Turning to a fellow 5th year Ravenclaw, she spoke adoringly, "Do you remember when you first saw all of this for the first time? They look so cute staring at all the House Elves hard work like that."
The boy laughed, "Saiyuri, must you do this every year?" "Of course I must! You can't tell me it doesn't amuse you as well Drew..." "Actually Saiyuri, the first feast is pretty boring. The only thing that makes the rest fun is picking on the first years of other houses once we learn what ticks them off or scares them the most," Drew retorted with a wink. Gently hitting Drew's arm, Saiyuri laughed and replied, "Drew, honestly. If you keep talking like that they might actually catch on that the Ravenclaw Prefects are the cause for all the pranks! Do you really want to let Flitwick know his star pupils are pulling the pranks on his beloved first years?" "Ehh, what's the harm? All the old bat will do is tell us to be kinder to them." "Don't be so harsh Drew! Flitwick is not all that bad. I find him quite amusing in his lessons." "That's only because you're the 'perfect charmer'," Drew teased as he began to pile food onto the plate." Saiyuri rolled her eyes as she took a sip from her goblet and took a slice of the ham. |
Keenly, the young brunette watched as some of the empty plates refilled, remembering the paragraph in "Hogwarts: A history" that explained about the houseelves. She'd read the book twice, just to make sure.
Idly, she poked the kid beside her, managing to chew away a piece of carrot first before talking to him. "Say, what's your name?" The boy blushed, and Anna figured he was just scared of her, or plain shy. "I'm Deacon... why?" Chuckling, Anna, shoved him in the side with her elbow, almost toppling the scrawny first year over. Laughing out loud now - a surprisingly hoarse-sounding chuckle - she managed to keep him steady, "Just making conversation," she explained, "since none of those my age seem to have any interest in fraternizing." She nodded lightly at the further end of the table, where a group of 20 were pointedly ignoring her for now. "So," she continued, taking another bite from her plate, which had only vegetables on it, "which class are you mostly looking forward to?" |
Drew nudged Saiyuri in the arm and leaned in towards her ear, "Look at that new girl, she looks a bit old to be sitting at the First years end don't you think?"
"Poor girl, the Gryffie retches are shunning her. And the Gryffies wonder why we hospitable Ravenclaws dislike them so! They can be so rude!" Saiyuri ranted on. "Calm down Sai, it's just a Gryffie, why do you care so much about them being rude to that specific one?" Hitting Drew's arm she replied, "Because Drew, she's new. Them treating her that way will just give her the assumption that everyone is cruel here. We MUST take her under our wing and school her better." "Don't get ahead of yourself Sai, how do you know she can even handle being with us and the Slythies over there?" "Hmm.. we could always give her.... the test." "Sai, it's her first day! Don't be so cruel." "It's not being cruel Drew! She's gotta learn the ropes sometime, and why not from our perspective and our seniority!" "She's a 4th year.. you really think she'll be able to pull it off?" "Have a little confidence, I think she'll be fine. And if I'm wrong, I'll do your homework for a week." "Deal b-" Drew began before he was interupted by Saiyuri. "BUT! If I win, you do my homework for a week PLUS carry my books during that time. And since our class schedule is the same, it won't be a problem now would it." "Oh fine then, have it your way. I still say she can't do it.." Drew chuckled as he picked at the ham that was on his plate. Drew, due to being not much of a meat eater, ate it only occasionally when Saiyuri made him. Unfortunately, the first feast was always the worst because there wasn't much to choose from. "Will you eat that already! Jeepers Drew, you're worse than my sister!" "Where is Lucia anyway? Paris or Tokyo?" "She's going to London for her first trimester, then Paris, than she'll finish the year in Tokyo." "Here anything on how she's doing?" "Ehh, mum said she was okay, but who knows for sure. I won't really know until Lu-chan sends me her letter." "Expecting any charms this time?" "Of course! But I can't get it until it's closer to the end of her first trimester because she isn't sure what she's already given me and she needs to go over everything with the man who runs the shop." "What, does she have a record there?" "Duh, my parents made her an account in every shop closest to her schools, that way she'll have everything on record and she won't buy the same thing twice." Drew stared and Saiyuri in disbelief and mumbled, "Lucky rich kids..." "Hey! I'm not a rich kid! My father just knows how to invest in Muggle companies as well as in Wizarding companies. He's quite good in the stock department." Drew rolled his eyes as he finally began to cut up the ham and eat it. Saiyuri smiled and sighed at Drew, knowing he was simply unhappy due to his parents cutting his allowance this year due to his huge spending sprees the previous year. As she finished her plate, she studied the new girl. 'Well, she seems decent enough, I wonder how she'll do..' |
"... and then, I hear McGonagall is really nice but really strict too, and I have no idea what to expect from her class! Transfiguration is supposed to be really hard too, so I'm actually really lucky I made it into Gryffindor, because McGonagall is so impressive, and it'll make my parents so proud, and I ..."
Anna groaned silently as the girl in front of her - "Katie Linor, that's my name, and I'm half-blood, my mum's a muggle, but she really didn't mind dad being a witch, and she thinks it's really easy because he can keep the house clean, and she doesn't have to do anything!" - continued her ramblings, which had started after her fairly innocent question to Deacon. In the meantime, the young boy had rolled his eyes at Katie a number of times, which was easily copied by Anna. The blonde lad leaned in, whispering, "She was set off easily," which caused Anna the break out laughing once more, finally stopping the girl in her rant. "You... -hiccup- really should finish eating, Katie," Anna managed to say, coaxing the girl to finish her meal. From the corner of her eye, she noticed Deacon gratefully saying a prayer up to the sky. Anna chuckled lightly, poking him in the side once more, and saying, "You're cute," which caused the young boy to blush again. |
Saiyuri chuckled as she noticed Katie Linor rambling on to the new girl, "Poor girl, I had to listen to Katie on the train earlier. She got lost while getting sweets off the trolly and so I had to help her back to her car. Listen, I've gotta head out and to talk to Leane over in the library. She simply must help me get the test ready as well has figure out a way to get Josh and Kalli to go along with it."
"Good luck Sai! I'll meet you in the common room later tonight." replied Drew with a mouth full of potatoes. Saiyuri chuckled as she nodded and stood up, her plate disappearing as she left, and headed out of the Great Hall, turning to the left once she reached the door and made her way towards the staircase that led to the Library. |
Anna looked up as the Ravenclaw passed her, idly listening to the first years' eager conversation. It seemed Katie's rambling had loosened them all up, and now they were slowly getting to know eachother.
The young Belgian girl rested her chin on her palm as she watched their faces with glee, absorbing their enthusiasm to counter the loss of her own. It would be difficult, the first weeks, she knew. Despite what she already knew, there would be a lot to learn still, and it would be a struggle to be accepted. Anna's smile widened, though, as she thought this. Acceptance was overrated. She would prove herself, she thought, patting the walnut wand hidden in her cloak, and then, they could make up their own mind. Dumbledore had brought her to Hogwarts for a reason, and she would not let some teenage ignorance keep her from it. |
Entering the library, Saiyuri was immediately spotted by Leane, a sixth year Slytherin, who quickly made room for Saiyuri to sit down.
"What's up Slythie?" "Studying for Potions, what brings you to the library?" replied Leane with a grin. "I've got a proposition for you. Interested?" "Very, tell me all the details. Is it something against the rules?" "Of course, and to do with te forbidden section. There's this new girl, Anna who's a fourth year Gryffie." "Ugh... a Gryffie?! Honestly Sai! What would make you interested in a Gryffie?!" "Well, she's got talent. Haven't seen her use a wand yet, but you can tell she's got some great potential. And who better to bring it out than you, me, Drew, Josh, and Kalli?" "Hmm.... I dunno.. it's always been just Slytherin and Ravenclaw.." "With the exception of Kalli you mean." "Yes yes of course, how can I forget Kalli's a Huffie? But still, we've NEVER had a Gryffie... remember the last time we tried having a Gryffie?" "....This is different Le-chan..." "What makes you so sure?" "Just watch her during the test." "Fine, if she can do what you did two years ago then she's in no questions asked. But only if she gets past Finch and Mrs. Norris without getting caught. And it must be tonight. No one will be suspecting something on the first night." "Of course. Have a little faith, I think she can manage to get the Dark Magic book. And once we have it, we'll simply store it in the Room of Requirement." "Sounds good. We'll meet in front of the Great Hall at ten minutes after midnight, got it? If she doesn't show, she's not getting another chance and will be shunned by the group for being a coward. Got it?" "Sounds like a fair deal. I'll catch her before she goes into the Gryffie Common Room in about an hour." "Sounds good, now get outta here so I can study since you refuse to lend me your expertise for a little while." "Snape would find out! He knows my methods too well. Especially since they're the improved version of my brother's method." "Speaking of your brother, when's he coming to check up on you?" "Not until Christmas unfortunately. He can't get out of the ministry until then." "What about the other?" "Same thing," Saiyuri replied shortly, her aggitation of not seeing her family until Christmas showing greatly. Leane noticed Saiyuri's eyes turning colors and immediately dropped the subject, "Alright, see you in a few hours Saiyuri." Saiyuri chuckled with a wink, "Count on it!" Smiling, she turned and headed out of the library and ran off to tell Kalli and Josh of the plans. She decided she'd fill Drew in once back in the common room. |
It had taken a try or two, but Anna had managed to place a sticky hex on a part of the Gryffindors' benches...
Incidentally, just those parts where here same-aged wizards and witches were sitting. She managed to keep her face blank as she continued talking to Katie and Deacon for a while, at times one of the other girls, Tani, joining in on the conversation. Anna managed to stick - the young Belgian surpressed a snort as she though this - around for another ten minutes before rising from the table with a completely innocent facial expression. "I have an owl to go send - I'll see you all in the common room?" The first years nodded, and Anna sauntered off, almost skipping after leaving the grand hall. Her "excuse" had actually been a valid reason, and Anna turned into the general direction of the Owl tower. Her sense of direction not being all that, it didn't take her long to be hopelessly lost - despite having gotten a tour by McGonagall the day before - and as she turned one of the corners, she bumped into someone. "Oh, I'm dreadfully sorry." |
After talking to Josh and Kalli about the test, Saiyuri decided to take the corridor to the left of the Room of Requirement and make her way towards the Gryffindor Common Room enterance and write her letter to Lucia while awaiting the arrival of the new girl. However, without paying much attention as she walked around a corner while casting a spell for the quill to write her thoughts as she walked, a girl bumped into her.
"Watch it kid. You run into me again, and you'll-" Mid-sentence, Saiyuri chuckled and smirked, "Well, if it isn't the new Gryffie. Just the girl I was looking for. Up for a little test?" |
"Gryffie?" Anna raised her eyebrow curiously, surprised by the girls sudden change in apology. "That doesn't sound particularly respectful." Slightly crazy and impulsive, however, Anna figured she might aswell tag along.
"However, a test sounds like fun." The brunette smiled broadly, holding out her hand in an overly confident manner. "I'm Anna - who're you?" |
"You catch on quick Gryffie - I mean, Anna. Here we call each other Ravies if you're in Ravenclaw House, Slythies if you're in Slytherin, Gryffies if you're in Gryffindor, and Huffies if you're in Hufflepuff. And depending on what house you're in depends on who you call what. Personally, I'm not too fond of anyone outside Slytherin and Ravenclaw. However, there are the few exceptions for each house. And depending on who you hang out with, depends on who likes you and who doesn't. You'll catch on soon enough Anna, so don't worry too much," Saiyuri chuckled at Anna's confidence and shook her hand, "The name's Megan Saiyuri Rumeti, Ravenclaw Prefect and Top student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, don't ever call me Megan, always refer to me as Saiyuri or Sai. And if you slip up and call me Megan, you'll get a warning, slip up twice, and you'll pay the consequences. Understood? Good. Now, about this test. You sure you're ready? It'll be dangerous. And you'll have to be slick enough to get past Mrs. Norris and Finch to do what we ask."
|
"So," the young Belgian started, annoyed at Saiyuri's 'introduction', "You're one of those people who think you need to hang out with the right crowd to fit in?" Easily, she walked past the girl, waving her away without much thought, "While your test seems like fun, miss prefect, I don't think if I really want to be associated with you."
Her ankle charm bracelet cheerfully tingled as she continued on towards the owl tower. After three feet, though, she turned back. "Also, next time, call me a Gryffindor. And I hope I won't be as quick to judge people according to their houses as you." She smiled softly, genuinely, "Otherwise Ravenclaw seems to be in for a rough treatment by me." |
Saiyuri smirked, "Not necessarily, it's simply tradition that Slythie's and Ravie's have a ... group as you would probably call it. Not exactly known by teachers, yet known throughout the school. You'll find groups no matter where you go Anna, everyone has their set friends. Why do you think Gryffindors your age didn't associate with you? They don't know you, you're new to Hogwarts, therefore not in a group. And as for non-association, if that's truly what you want, I don't mind. You simply seemed brave enough to attempt what no one but I has ever dared," turning away from Anna Saiyuri added, "However, Le-chan was right, you weren't cut out for it. You probably wouldn't have lasted long in our group."
Saiyuri turned back towards Anna and walked over towards the open window, stuck her head out, and turned towards the Owl Tower and whistled. A snowy white owl quickly flew out of the tower and made its way through the open window, landing on Saiyuri's shoulder once Saiyuri was back inside and facing Anna, "And as for judging people according to houses, you'll find that the longer you've been around Hogwarts, the more you find yourself disliking certain houses yet adoring others. Catch up on your history Anna," at the mention of 'Anna', the owl began cooing and nibbling on Saiyuri's ear, "Stop it Anna! I'm talking to the Gryffindor over there, not you silly. You'll get your attention in a few moments." With a chuckle Saiyuri added, "Anyway, who knows. Maybe you'll end up being the one who changes everything. With that attitude you're sure to stir up things around here. But hey, if you're interested in that test, meet us outside the Great Hall at 10 minutes after midnight. I still think you'll be able to handle it." With a wink and a smile, Saiyuri turned back towards the way she came and made her way towards the Ravie Common Room. Since Drew hadn't heard of the latest happenings, she figured she might as well fill him in while writing a letter to Lucia. |
Anna watched the Ravenclaw walk away somewhat sceptically. 'Then again,' she thought to herself as she walked towards the owl tower, 'Saiyuri is right about me.' Her high morals and own way of doing things had often gotten her in trouble in her previous school, but she was not in the slightest planning on changing that.
This cheered her up somewhat as she leaned on a higher perch inside the owl tower - the confrontation with Saiyuri had come too soon, even for her quirky nature. Annastasia sighed lightly, but focused herself on conjuring a piece of paper out of thin air without saying the words, which worked after the third try. Her skills of visualisation had always been greater than her regular skill in magic, so she had immediatly started to teach herself to perform spells silently. The more she practiced, the better it went, and the trick her mother had taught her to make ink come out of her wand, worked immediatly. 'Still,' she figured, I really have to practice a bit...' Twenty minutes later, she was easily rummaging through the library books for some "extra" spells, with no one around to bother her as she muttered out loud, "How to get to the great hall without being seen..." |
Saiyuri smiled as she noticed the crowd at the top of the staircase. Pushing pass the younger Ravenclaws, Saiyuri made her way to the bronze Eagle Knocker on the door, "Good evening, have they changed the password since this morning?"
"Yes, now answer this question to get into the Common Room. All before you have failed, are you prepared?" "Of course I am, now out with it," Saiyuri rolled her eyes and smirked at Drew, "I'm surprised you never got it." "Shut up Sai...." "Ehehemm. What is the purpose of the potion Amortentia?" "Oh that's a simple one! Drew, we used it last year on Hagrid and Hagrid's date at the Yule ball last year, remember? Amortentia is a the most powerful love potion in the world, both muggle and wizard alike. It causes a powerful infatuation or obsession in the drinker of the potion and the scent of the potion is different to everyone for it reminds the drinker of what they personally find attractive." "C-c-correct. Please enter." "FINALLY!!!" A loud cheer filled the spiral staircase as the door swung open, admitting all of the Ravenclaw's who had neglected to study potions the previous year into the common room after three hours of waiting for someone to get the correct answer. Saiyuri smiled at Drew, "Now, we must speak in private about you know who." "Not..." "No stupid, the girl!" "Oh, right, over by the fireplace." As the two sat down in the deep blue chairs in front of the fireplace, everyone else began to trickle upstairs to put away their belongings. Saiyuri then began to relay everything she had said and heard during the encounter with Anna moments before. "So... is she coming?" "I'm not sure, we'll just have to go and find out. I'm sure she can handle it." "Well, if she's anything like you, and judging from what you say, she has some similarities in her personality, I'm sure she'll be able to do it. I'm just frustrated that Filtch found the dang thing. And our hiding place was so good last year!" "I wouldn't call Moaning Myrtyle's Toilet the perfect hiding place. However, the room we make shall be the perfect hiding place. We'll just have to make sure it doesn't get out again." Chuckling, Saiyuri took out her wand and a piece of parchent as well as a quill with a never ending supply of ink appeared in the space between Drew and Saiyuri. The quill began to move and Saiyuri wrote a short letter to her sister telling her of the events and how the teachers were. Turning to Drew towards the end of the letter she smiled, "Want me to add anything?" "Hmm... tell her not to get into too much trouble while switching schools and have her pick me up some sweets. I'll be sure to send her some in your next letter if she does." "Sure thing," Saiyuri chuckled as she added his request. The ink quickly disappeared as did the quill. Saiyuri rolled up the partchment, tied it with a light purple ribbon, and gave it to Anna. "Anna, take this to Lucia." With a coo, Anna took the parchment and flew out the window that a first year had just opened across the Common Room. The first year screamed and ran back upstairs out of fright due to being startled by Anna. Saiyuri and Drew both chuckled as they made their way to their dormitories to finish unpacking their things and get ready for the test later that evening. |
It was almost 9 pm when Anna passed through the portrait hole into the Gryffindor common room, and she almost wished she had waited longer before returning. It was far too early still, and the tower chamber was packed with Gryffindors. Everyone seemed to have settled down into a group of their own, and immediatly Anastasia remembered Saiyuri's words.
She wasn't about to give up, though, and she simply sat down in the first chair she found. Yawning, Anna pushed up her orange hairband, closing her eyes in the progress. The fireplace was so nice and warm, and outside, the rain was clattering against the window. “Tired?” Slowly, Anna opens her eyes and looks to the right, into an older boys' kind brown eyes. “Yeah, somewhat.” Smiling gently, she crawls upwards, her uniform skirt riding up a bit in the progress. The boy smiles and leans over the arm of his chair. “It must've been hard on you, to get thrown into it like that. You're the first transfer student in the history of Hogwarts, you know.” Anna nods lightly, “Yes, I know. It wasn't exactly a warm welcome, either.” Guiltily, he nods, his long black hair bouncing up and down as he does so. “I know. I'm Fynn, by the way.” He offers his one hand, and touches the prefect pin on his shirt with the other. “If there's anything up, don't hesitate to talk to me.” “Well, actually...” Anna starts, but is suddenly interrupted by a laughing young Deacon running towards her “Anna!” He snorts, almost chocking on the words, “Half of your classmates were stuck to a bench in the Great Hall! And they only now got them loose!” Deacon laughs some more, and is joined by a giggling Tani, “You should have been there, Anna! It was really funny.” Somehow, she manages to put the right amount of innocence in her smile as she answers, “Really now?” |
Saiyuri looked around the Girl's Dormitory, now empty of everyone but herself. Wishing that Lucia could have been with her, she began to draw the Girl's Common Room as an additive for her next letter. Looking at the time and noticing it was quarter after 9, shequickly took out her sketch book, as well as her colored pencil selection, and began to draw her section of the room as seen from across the Girl's Dormitory.
Saiyuri's section of the room was small, but very regal and elegant. Everything was antique and hand crafted by her family's household staff on the day she was born. The first object to be drawn, was her bed: A four post bed with deep blue drapes. A star design decorated the edges in gold while bronze swirls weaved in and out of the stars. The sheet set was a light blue while her pillow cases were a deep bronze. The thick goose-feather comfortor was a medium blue that had an elegantly embroidered golden SL in the center, written so that the loops of the L intertwined with the curves of the S. Lucia has the exact same bedset but in the color scheme of Violets and Deep Purples. Next was the stand that stood directly to the left of the bed. This stand had Saiyuri's Potions Book as well as her Transfiguration Book. The stand stood 2 feet high, 1 foot wide, and was made of a dark oak. The stand to the right of the bed followd. It was the twin to the former stand and a still picture of Saiyuri and her family was placed upon it in a golden frame. The edges of the frame, were Roses with vines that interlaced with loops and curves of the stems of Lilies. Saiyuri finished the drawing with a large portrait that resided on wall next to her bed that was hand painted by the painter Dan Gerhartz. The portrait contained two girls the age of 15, one with long, wavy, dark purple hair and the other with long, blonde hair that was strait as a pin. The former had dark brown eyes and the latter had deep sapphire eyes. The young girls were identical with the exception of these small differences. The young ladies in this portrait, were Saiyuri and Lucia. Saiyuri took did this portrait in great detail and finally finished by adding herself drawing on the bed. When it was through, Saiyuri looked at the clock and saw it was half past 11 and decided to put everything away and head down to the Common Room. Drew chuckled as he saw a sleepy Saiyuri trickle down from the Dormitory, "You're a mess. Come here, let me clean you up." Saiyuri rolled her eyes, "Drew, I can manage myself." "Sure you can, now come here. You're half asleep as it is," Drew smiled as Saiyuri obliged and walked over to him. He muttered an incantation and a bar of soap, a cloth, and a small basin of water floated in the air beside him. He took the cloth, soaked it in water, and rubbed the bar of soap on it. After ringing it out, he began to wash the pencil from Saiyuri's hands and face. Once through with washing and rinsing Saiyuri's face and hands, the basin and such disappeared and in its place was a soft towel, which Drew then used to dry Saiyuri's face. "You really shouldn't do the test tonight. Anna probably won't even show, she is a Gryffie after all." Half dazed and asleep, Saiyuri muttered, "I have to.. I know she'll... make it.. if... I.." Before even finishing her sentence, Saiyuri was falling towards Drew, asleep from exhaustion. Saiyuri, although very brilliant and outgoing, had been suffering from a long term illness that caused her to become sleepy and have little or no energy for hours at a time. Drew was the only one who knew of this secret, was was very good at keeping it. He smiled as he picked her up in his arms and laid her on the couch, allowing her to rest for at least a half an hour. Until then, he sat across from her near the fireplace and began reading the Daily Prophet. |
She'd never been a fan of cats, but Mrs. Norris was a particularly meanspirited example, with a sixth sense for mischief. The ragged looking animal was pacing around downstairs, right near the Great hall, and Anna had no way of getting in until she left.
Quietly, she crawled back, her flimsy black nightgown moving along with her body as she sneeked to the first window she could find. One alohomora spell later, the large window flew open silently, and Anna crawled back towards the landing. She knew this part would be tricky, and had practiced it beforehand on a tiny owl, but with the slightest excessiveness, it'd make Mrs. Norris go insane... So Anastasia carefully paced herself before muttering a cheering spell. At first, nothing seemed to happen, but suddenly a soft purring reached her, and Anna smiled contentedly. For the final part of her trick to work, she crawled back to the window, and send a flock of birds flying past the window which Mrs. Norris was facing. Happily, the cat skipped after them as they went further down the hall, and Anna quikly jumped up to close the window and run down the staircase. It was five to twelve. |
Leane and Josh, both being in Slytherin House, walked up to the Great Hall from the dungeons together and made a pitstop near the Hufflepuff Common Room to send Leane's cat Ginger to go and wake up Kalli, who was fast asleep due to having forgot about the Test that evening.
Upon reaching the Great Hall, they hid in the shadows due to Mrs. Norris lurking around and awaited the appearance of Saiyuri. It was 10 to midnight. ------- Setting the Daily Prophet down on the small table in front of him, Drew stood up and walked over to Saiyuri, who was sleeping peacefully in her School Uniform and Cloak on the sofa. "Sai, come on, it's time to get up. It's already 5 after." Saiyuri muttered some jibberish and turned over on the couch. Drew chuckled, knowing Saiyuri was hate him for this after, but knew it must be done if she were to wake up in time. He took out his wand and pointed it at Saiyuri. A big splash of water poured out of his wand and landed on Saiyuri's head. Saiyuri bolted up and glared at Drew, her eyes changing from the dark brown they normally were to a deep, vibrant red as she screamed, "DREW MICHAEL PHILLIPS! YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN AND YOU'RE--" Drew quickly placed his hand over her mouth to quiet her, "SHH! Before the whole Dormitory wakes up! It's 5 after, Leane and Josh are probably already down there. Kalli, knowing her and her timing, will probably arrive a few minutes after us. So let's hurry and get down there." Saiyuri nodded as she muttered a quick spell and the water evaporated. Scowling the entire way, Saiyuri followed Drew to the Great Hall and caught up with Leane, Josh, and suprisingly Kalli as well. It was now exactly 10 after midnight. |
Lazily, Anna stretched, hiding behind a pillar near the door for now. Her black, silk nightgown rippled around her, and she felt a chill on her bare feet and legs.
"Where are they..." |
Leane, Josh, and Kalli burst out laughing from the shadows as Mrs. Norris ran after the birds.
"Is she gullible or what?" commented Leane with a smirk. "Almost as gullible as Kalli," replied Josh. Kalli glared at Josh and replied with a scowl, "Shut it... don't be so mean!" Josh laughed and kissed her cheek, "Don't get so angry hun. I was only kidding." Leane rolled her eyes, "Get a room..." "Oh Lee, you're just jealous 'cause Josh and I aren't fighting like you and Lium!" "Kalli, if you weren't such a good friend i'd smack you.." Drew, spotting the gang in the shaddows near the Great Hall pointed to them and smiled, "Looks like the gang showed after all." Saiyuri rolled her eyes and pushed pass him, "Guys, come on... We still have to make sure Anna shows. For all you know, she could be waiting for us already." Leane looked questioningly at Saiyuri, "Sai.... you okay?" "Yeah.. don't wanna talk about it.." Leane looked at Drew and he simply shrugged his shoulders and replied, "She's just angry over something I said, she'll be fine if Anna shows. She's really counting on it. Besides, it'll do Saiyuri good to have a little fun tonight." The gang smiled and followed Saiyuri out of the shadows and stood in front of the Great Hall entrance, awaiting the arrival of Anna. |
