"I know what you were thinking and I'm telling you to think a little harder before reacting next time. Sometimes the best thing we can do is to do nothing. . ." He knew Siona wasn't going to be in the mood to hear that after being insulted but it was the truth of the matter. Still her rashness had a base and he understood it and had no reason to fault her for it he just wished she wouldn't allow it to get her into trouble. It would only take one time for her to piss off the wrong noble and her life was forfeit no matter how prestigious her family once was so she was treading in shallow waters if her act didn't straighten up.

Her rebuttal to his comment about her having a better life angered the male a bit but he kept a calm demeanor, "Look, you know that there is nothing, and I emphasize nothing, that we can do about our circumstances. Our lives were changed once we drew the short straw and that's just our luck." The thought was demoralizing but Anier understood why everyone laughed at him when he said he was planning on making something of himself. He was being raised by courtesans. It was highly unlikely that he would be anything other than a courtesan himself once he was old enough to make that choice. He had no people skills. Child by day, thief by night. He didn't know any better and to be honest on top of all of that he was interested in the pleasure that seemed to be involved with the job.

As sad as it was, he only had a few more years until he would have to start selling his body and his eyes became as lifeless as everyone else's. It eased his mind to hear that she would try and work on her temper. He listened intently as the wolven female explained the things going on today and the youth's eyes lit up as a bit of mischief seemed evident. "Let's go take a look and check it out then!" Although Anier was the cautious one of the two he was still fairly mischievous his self, though he just seldom got caught.
