I'm sorry, I'll be unable to start any new RP's as of this time (if you have a VERY juicy one, I'm sure we can arrange something) as I have a list of active ones and am planning on participating in a group RP.
If you want to know a bit about me, please keep reading, if not, feel free to skip this paragraph. My name is Kate and I am 19 years old. I will be attending my first year of uni this coming fall (wish me luck)! Literature was never my subject of strength but my recent discovery of roleplaying made me want to pursue it. Personally, I don't think that a story should not be based solely on romance. A plot should always be established before anything else but that's just my opinion.
I don't expect too much from a partner but here are some greatly appreciated qualities:
-Please be semi-literate. I won't lie, I'm horrible with my commas but please don't leave your posts so cryptic that I have to decipher them!
-Post at least once every few days. I don't expect one every day because sometimes it's just not reasonable. Quality of the work over its quantity!
-Please put some thought into your post. If I write half a novel I don't expect you to write one back but please don't write a one liner either. Dialog's probably the only place in the RP where one-liners should be written.
-Don't throw something at me in one of your posts. If we are writing a realistic RP please do not give the main character supernatural abilities (or somewhere along those lines) without discussing it with me. Spontaneity is great but sometimes it's borderline godmodding.
-Have fun!
Here are a couple of RP ideas I've come up with. Feel free to PM me with your brainstormings if you have something different in mind.
Serious RP IDEAS
1. [NEW] An apocalyptic event strikes the whole world. Everyone turns into a zombies that are only capable of hearing. A group of people try to maintain their humanity as the nation goes crazy. They must fight to survive and protect their sanity to live. I was hoping to do a Highschool of the Dead style RP (there are only 4 episodes of the anime released thus far so if you want to invest an hour and a half into watching it, you won't regret it). Be warned, it's an 18+ anime.
Comedic RP IDEAS
1. Two pirate ships both arrive in an island filled with promises of gold and fortune. The captain of one ship is a lighthearted pirate who cares only for wenches and gold. The other ship's captain is a ruthless, serious woman who prides her image above all. One day, a scout discovers the rivaling pirate's ship and warns his Captain. Curious, the man wants to declare a truce but the woman is strongly against it. Unbeknown to them, the creatures of the island are watching their every move.
Hey there, I'd like to one on one with you, I'm greatly intrigued by the third serious one. Also have my own plot ideas here If you're interested. I would be happy to play the scientist, but I can do either if you have preference. Do you require profile?
Dear me, so many of these plots tickle particular fancies of mine. 1 and 3 on serious (to varying degrees) and 1 for comedic as well. Going to say at present that the top ones are more likely to end well at the moment, given the current direction of my muse.
Hmm, 3 seems more like a group RP to me, so how about the plane crash scenario. However might I suggest that the plan crash saves three people. I see more interesting dynamics if the rich boy also has a bodyguard/servant of sorts with him, if only to make it more interesting if said support disappeared part of the way through. That and I imagine shifting dynamics as their stay was prolonged would make things highly entertaining.
Sure I wouldn't mind. I guess the servant would be considered a minor character in this situation? Any ideas for the names? I think I'd like to name the girl Rhea.
Hmm it takes me a little while to name folks, so bear with me. If you'd like to make a starting post set just after the crash, it would give me enough time to come up with a names and a place to start from.
Whatever ages you're comfortable working with are fine. I think the mentioned age range would work well for this with the bodyguard being older by necessity.
