Request is completed!
I have all the players I need, apologies for not putting this up sooner....
I am, however, going to leave this here, because I hope to start another one of these someday soon.
------------------------------
I have been wanting to create a Fate/DnD-based Dungeon crawl for some time now, and just haven't gotten to it until now. I'd like to see how many people would be interested, and see if anyone has suggestions, so here I am at the requests. If you are interested, feel free to fill out the skele and post it here. Any and all suggestions are welcomed.
The basics of what I am looking for:
Small group, no more than six people, two character limit
Main focus is to be on the fighting of monsters and exploring the labyrinth, though romance won't be discouraged, drama will be.
I will be pretty strict on races and power limits on characters, this is supposed to be a challenge.
We will be using the dice roll gadget-thing
I would like to have at least one other person helping to control Monsters and NPCs
Race guidelines:
Basics of most RPGs are accepted, those include but are not limited to: Human, Elf, Half-Elf, Dwarf, Half-Orc, Gnome, and Halfling.
Other Races such as Vampire, Theiranthrope(Wereanimals), Demons, Angels and the like will most likely be accepted, but I will stress the matter of them being balanced, and I will make you change them to what I see fit for the roleplay.
Profile skeleton(for now):
My fate is controlled by: (what drives him/her?)
My designation is:
I belong to the race of:
Below the belt I am:
I have survived this many years:
My level of experience is: (beginner, intermediate or advanced)
A depiction of my visage: (picture or description)
A glimpse of my past: (short bio, you don't have to give much)
Gifts I have acquired: (powers, if any)
I am classified as: (Character Class: Rogue, Ranger, Warrior, Mage, ect.)
My toys of choice: (Weapons/ tools, only what your character can carry on them, and keep in mind of your characters class.)
Other oddities:
An example of me in action: (Either a link or a short example of your role-playing skills)

I'm going to have to go find online DnD character things... I wish I still had my character sheet from what seem like eons ago. There are a few new classes too from the latest book I think. *goes to google*
What limit do you have on races? Must they be humanoid, and if they have inherent powers does that affect what gifts they might have?

My fate is controlled by:
My Will
My designation is:
Zenfoid
I belong to the race of:
The Elves
I have survived this many years:
120
My level of experience is:
Intermediate
A depiction of my visage:
A glimpse of my past:
I grew up in the woods. When my entire family died of a mysterious virus I turned my back on the Gods and my village. I know travel and just try to live around. I have no interest in finding a life partner.
Gifts I have acquired:
Basic plant and healing skills, also able to move quietly and pick up on peoples emotions.
I am classified as:
A Ranger
My toys of choice:
Bow and Quiver and a dagger.
Other oddities:
Enhanced hearing and sight even among the elves. Some people thought he was to rule the village before he left. HE can also sense vague intentions based off the emotions.
An example of me in action:
Zenfoid walked into a small field in the woods. He was on the look out for anything as he sat down against a tree. Keeping a hand on his dagger he closed his eyes and relaxed This was just what I needed he thought. To his right he heard a rustle in a bush he climbed his tree in a matter of seconds, his ears twitched as he saw a small creature come out of the bush and started to sniff around looking for food. Zenfoid smiled as he took his bow and knocked an arrow. The arrow that was shot killed it's pray and Zenfoid hopped from his perch to claim his dinner.

I've been wondering about the classes too, and looking at the fourth edition on the online wiki. What are the limitations on the powers? Do you include the racial traits in that, or is it just what is acquired trough the class?

Oh and Pap brings up a good point. What edition rules are basing this off of? 4ed 3.5ed 3ed?? or GURPS rules (which I think tends to fall more into 3.5ed)

ZeldaFreek- Accepted, though I may want to change things around a bit later, so I might need you to add to it. I'll let you know if that happens.
Konnichi wa, Pap and Cat ^^
I originally wanted to base this more off of DnD, but I think I'm going to stick with guidelines based off of Fate, seeing as that game is a bit easier to handle. Perhaps once this one concludes- or dies(I hope it doesn't!)- I will begin making one more DnD based. I will, however, be taking a few things from 3.5, seeing as I don't care for 4.0 much.
As for races, The standards of Human, Elf, Halfling, Gnome, Orc, Dwarf and half-breeds of those are allowed, as well as some of the other popular "fantasy" races: Vampires, Theiranthropes(Weres), demons and such, though I'm going to be a bit strict on them, seeing as they can get out of hand power-wise fairly easily.
Some racial traits count as gifts, such as a vampire being able to control someone's mind, or turning into an animal, but things like an elf having excellent vision and hearing don't.

Alright. I'll have to acquaint myself with Fate's game rules briefly then. And I'll just send you whatever character's form I choose so you can look it over and decide if they are overpowered or will be a poor match for the roleplay. Would I be correct in assuming that we would want to start this off as a low level quest? like 1-3?

That would be fine. In the game Fate, you start at the first level, and just work your way down, each level a small labyrinth in and of itself. I am not going to limit character levels too much, I'd actually rather have a mix of experienced and new adventurers, My own character is going to be intermediate.
As you can probably tell already, I'm very loose as to rules on this, at least for now while I am still getting them figured out. I may or may not invoke use of actual character levels, and hit points, I'm still working out a system. Also, if you aren't sure about a race, class or skill you'd like, don't be afraid to ask.

You are welcome, thank you for joining. I tend to prefer third person, and would appreciate if others in my role-plays follow suit, it can get confusing otherwise.

There's a race I've actually been wondering if I could play. Here's a link to the wiki page I've been looking at, before I even start making the character. Yuki-onna, Variant (3.5e Race) - D&D Wiki

ZeldaFreek- Will do ^^
Pap- A Yuki-Onna, hm? Could be very interesting, go ahead but keep in mind she would not be a very good melee fighter, or anything along those lines.

If we have a Ranger Rouge, a bard and I'm planning on a cleric (Spell strong cleric) I think we should try to interest people in whompums aka tanking melee fighters. Oh and I'm gonna put Nailah into the skeleton soon. Should I write something up for her bird?

I am working on him now, He's a Warrior/rogue Half-elf. I just have to finish up his Bio for which the English words are eluding me....
Everyone is allowed two characters, just a reminder. I might make a Berserker if we don't get a tank before we get the ball rolling.

My fate is controlled by: The Path ahead of me
My designation is: Nailah
I belong to the race of: Human
I have survived this many years: 17
My level of experience is: Beginner
A depiction of my visage: Short, dark haired, dark eyed, bundle of sweaters.... Missing left arm from elbow down. (I have a picture of her, just not on my computer. I'll get it up at some point)
A glimpse of my past:
Grew up in the deserts surrounded by people of all different races, she tended to enjoy the comings and goings of the regional lords, the Sun Giants. Because of them and their structures, everything else seemed small by comparison and she was fine with her diminutive status. Her size allowed her to explore and wander through the place better, collecting things that looked interesting to her. Somewhere in her wanderings she managed to lose her arm, she was cared for by a cleric of Fhghghl who couldn't save the arm but was able to keep the feverish girl out of the grasps of death. Amused and interested by the stories told by the cleric she found herself more and more drawn into the following. After she was fully healed she took the oath and began her eternal wanderings.
Gifts I have acquired:
Spells: (All can be intantly turned into healing spell of equal value)
Create Water
Detect Magic
Mending
Comprehend Languages
Endure Elements
Obscuring Mist
Summon Monster1 (Celestial Fire Beetle)
Summon Monster2 (Celestial Bombardier Beetle)
Expeditious Retreat
Entropic Shield
Undead Turning (5 per day)
I am classified as: Cleric of Farlangh
My toys of choice: Quarter-staff, Scimitar (bandoleers and pockets full of random junk, not limited to a bag of sand and very strong cactus liquor.)
Other oddities: She's a collector. Everything has a use eventually and she keeps things just in case.
Because she's from the desert country she's always cold, she tends to bundle up in lots of clothes which comes in handy because of her travels.
An example of me in action: She had been walking for nearly a week without seeing any sort of break in the scenery. She was used to this, her vows would take her to the very end of the world, but the journey still wouldn't have ended. Such was the way of Farlangh. A strange bird steadily loped beside her, two strong, trunk like legs powerd it forward, while it's wings, now useless for flight, kept it steady and upright. It let out a loud "GRONK!", causing the young girl to turn and face the animal. "Francois, that is enough. I'm sure we'll see-" she was cut off by a second call from the bird. She looked back to the road ahead and saw a band of people walking towards her. "Hi strangers! Let the paths be open and the trails be clear. I'm Nailah, cleric of Farlangh. Want to hear how I lost my arm?" She smiled as they approached.
Edit: Forgot the Bird.
My fate is controlled by: Nailah and food
My designation is: Francois
I belong to the race of: Gronk Birds
I have survived this many years: 1
My level of experience is: imabird!
A depiction of my visage: very large pack-bird, Franky is still very young and is about the size of an ostrich.
A glimpse of my past: he hatched and ate much food
Gifts I have acquired: carrying stuff
I am classified as: Mount
My toys of choice: Running away
Other oddities: Pack bird, carries stuff Nailah can't. Really likes picking up rocks.
