Rules

- Follow the regular Menewsha rules, as lame as they are, they have to be obeyed or we all get in trouble.
- Please respect me and the other role-players.
- This is a long term RP, so please don't send in your character and never post.
- Post at least once every other day. C:
- This is a literate RP, meaning use correct grammar and try not to make spelling errors.
- Post as much as you'd like, I'm not going to hold you back. C: But, at least post a few sentences and give something to reply to. Writer's block is always understood, though. Just try your best.
- Make your posts look interesting? I hate boring looking fonts. Make it interesting and readable, okay?
- This is medieval role-play, okay? No technology.
- PM me your profiles, please, don't just post them without permission. You need me to accept your profile before you can join the RP. I don't really care what you title it, so whatever floats your boat. I just want the PM.
- Since vampire RPs have so many girls and not a lot of boys, I'm going to attempt to make it a little equal, so I'll stop accepting girls until we get enough boys, and then accept more girls again.
- Make your character interesting and unique or a little original. "Their parents died and s/he was orphaned young and grew up on the streets" isn't very original. Your biography is your character's story, so make it good.
- No killing another's character without permission.
- I do want killing, though, it makes it interesting. So please, create a character and keep in mind that they should eventually die. It makes the RP interesting and you can always make another character.
- Romance is a must. Just don't fall in love the second you talk to a person, okay? Go as far as you'd like, just don't make my RP a porno, got it?
- I'll be adding and editing rules a lot, so check back once in a while if you remember.

So this is what's up and hopefully will make things a little less confusing. C:

Vampires

Either you were born a vampire, or you were created. Vampires can have children, but their child is basically only a half-vampire until they make their first kill and that's when their aging stops, so a lot of vampires hold a ritual for half-vampires to turn full when they're an adult where the half-vampire will go hunting with the clan. And yes, the vampires living in the castle are a clan, meaning they all know each other [you can decide how well, but they should at least know each other's first name] and are almost like a family. If someone would like to be the clan leader, preferably a male, then I can give that role to you. If no one wants to take it, then I guess I will. What else... Oh right. If a vampire is going to change a human into one, there are a few things that need to be done. First, the vampire must drink from the human. Then, the human must drink from the vampire to merge their blood together. The human will fall into a sleep for however long and during this time they sort of die and when they wake, they must drink blood. Oh, something I wanted to add about drinking blood that always bothers me. The neck biting thing... that bothers me. If a vampire were to take blood from a human and bite their neck, blood would be everywhere and the human would have no chance of living. So if a vampire wants to kill a human, they go to the neck. A lot of vampire shows and entertainment, whatever do the "sexy neck bite" thing, but really if you were bit on the neck, you would die within minutes and it'd be a mess. So, vampires who want to just take some blood need to bite anywhere else. Vampires can go out in sunlight. They don't eat regular food, their bodies can't digest it, but they can drink human drinks. Some vampires like to sleep and are able to if they don't drink enough blood, but when they drink, they usually are too energetic and strong to be able to fall asleep. They have enhanced senses and are very strong and fast. Their wounds close up almost immediately. The only way to kill a vampire is by cutting off their head/arms/legs and burning them. Vampires have the ability to be very convincing and are able to use compulsion on humans. They are also able to heal human's wounds with their saliva.

Humans

You were told about the Lake of Legends and the Castle of Gods. The myth is a usual bedtime story and everyone has heard of the place. Some don't believe in it and some do. Whoever leaves to go, though, never comes back. This raises both fear and curiosity. For whatever reason, either you're seeking immortality or looking for the missing people or know about the vampires and have gone to kill them, you have taken the long journey to the lake. Once there, you are either killed, turned, or enslaved. If you're a vampire hunter, you often find yourself teaming up with the werewolves because they are much more efficient at killing vampires.

Werewolves

Your pack lives in the same territory as the vampires, causing both creatures to be very territorial. Some of the pack members live in the village along with the humans, blending in. Some live in the forest in caves or cabins. You are able to transform into a wolf any time you want, but are forced to turn into a half-wolf half-human form during the full moon. During this time, your lust for blood tripes and in order to not go on a feeding frenzy, you must chain or cage yourself up in a hidden place where the vampires hopefully cannot get to you. You often find yourself teaming up with vampire hunters and protecting them. You need to eat human food daily, but in order to still be able to transform into a wolf, you must feed on flesh. You either were born a werewolf and it runs in your family, or you were bitten by a half-human, half-wolf creature during the full moon. The transformation werewolves make during the full moon is the only time where they are able to turn humans into werewolves by biting them. You are also able to have one power.

Half-Vampires

You were born from two vampires and age the same as humans. You're basically a human, but look like a vampire and since you are so beautiful, like vampires, you are able to use compulsion on humans. You also need to eat regular food to keep up your strength and also sleep. You can drink human blood, which can make you stronger. But when a half-vampire becomes an adult, the parents and other vampires of the clan participate in a ritual where the entire clan goes hunting together in celebration of the half-vampire turning into a full vampire. In order to turn into a full vampire, though, the half-vampire must drain a human of blood and take their life essence, which makes them immortal. Once the life essence is stolen, they are immediately transformed into a full-vampire. Looking at a full vampire and a half-vampire, you cannot really tell the difference. They look entirely the same, but they smell different. A full vampire smells of nothing more than a vampire and some usually wreak of death while a half-vampire smells of both vampire and human. Some half-vampires stay that way their entire lives and eventually die when they become old. A half-vampire refusing to turn into a full vampire is usually looked down upon by their clan or other vampires.

The Castle

The castle is made of stone, iron, marble and wood, a powerful mixture that allows the castle to withstand the elements. It's beautiful and quite very large, as you can imagine with the dozens of people that live inside of it. On the first story you can find the servant's quarters which is neighbor to the kitchen and then the large dining room and then the library. There's also a music room and small study rooms scattered around the first floor, including a sitting lounge where many of the vampires come together as well as a large ballroom, where the vampires like to hold parties. Follow the maze of hallways to the back of the castle and you will find a greenhouse connected to the castle. Through the greenhouse and outside is a very huge garden with small stone paths, flowers, well trimmed bushes and trees, and also a quite large maze of hedges. On the second floor of the castle is where the vampires' bedrooms begin. Each bedroom has a connecting bathroom and a balcony. The servants' quarters is basically a room that has doors covering it's walls. Through the doors are smaller rooms where they may house 1 to 3 servants. They share a bathroom that is connected to the main room. Slaves, on the other hand, either live in their vampire's room or live in the attic or basement locked away with other slaves. The third story is more vampires' rooms and random rooms and some unused bedrooms. Next is the attic and some towers.

The Lake

A short walk from the castle, say around 100 yards, is the lake. It's a couple miles wide and a vampire can see to the other side of the lake with ease. The bottom of the lake is covered with smooth stones that look as if someone captured fog inside of them. They are somewhat clear, but not very much. The water is very cold and clear, making it good for drinking, even though it does not give the drinker immortality.

Werewolves vs. Vampires

In a straight one-on-one unarmed fight between a werewolf and a vampire, the werewolf would probably win; their claws and teeth can actually hurt (though not kill; only fire can do that) vampires, being supernatural weapons, and they are also pound-for-pound faster and stronger. However, vampires know this, so when fighting a werewolf they rarely go unarmed and never go alone. Werewolves, being more primitive and animalistic in nature, are generally clumsy with things like tools and weapons and prefer to do things with their bare hands/claws, and while they do hunt well in packs they are significantly less organized than the vampires are. Also, vampires being immortal, there are many more vampires over all than werewolves, so a direct all-on-all assault would swiftly end in the werewolves' defeat. In a straight run, a werewolf will quickly out-run a vampire, having supernatural speed themselves but also twice as many legs. A werewolf could easily catch up to a vampire on a straight shot, but vampires are much harder to track over long distances as they leave little to no scent behind. Conversely, a vampire will almost never catch up to a werewolf it is chasing straight off, but werewolves leave very strong and distinct scent trails, so they are much easier to track over long distances. Werewolves' and vampires' bites are extremely painful and can cause serious damage to one another, but they cannot change them. In theory a vampire could kill a werewolf by draining all of its blood as they would a human, but werewolf blood is very bitter and distasteful to a vampire, it makes them rather sick to their stomach and does not push back the hunger at all, so they will usually seek other methods of killing them. Werewolves are not immortal, but they are very strong; a stab wound through the heart will certainly severely weaken a a werewolf, but it will heal in about three days with proper medical attention. They can die from blood loss or decapitation, or from being shot or stabbed through the heart or brain with silver. Silver wounds inflict serious damage, and even a minor flesh wound inflicted with silver will take weeks to fully heal over. The mere presence of silver does nothing, so they can wear silver jewelry with no negative effects; it must contact the blood to do any damage. As silver does aggravated damage to werewolves, so fire does to vampires; even a minor flame burn will take weeks to heal over, and a strike with a flaming weapon can leave a permanent scar. But even a flaming arrow through the heart will not kill a vampire; it will incapacitate it for a month or so, but they will eventually heal, as only a complete dismemberment and subsequent burning of the entire body can fully kill the otherwise immortal vampire.
