Aki looked at the boy as he tried to reach out with his mind. Unknowingly he received instructions from his pendant and he shrouded himself in darkness and grinned slightly. "Telepathy will not work on me student." He said with a hint of condescension in his tone his eyes pulsed with darkness as the air around him danced with the darkness radiating from his body. "I am Aki, a perfect here at Knightwing. You may not know what that is now but you will soon find out that we are the people that set the standards here. He said informatively as he dropped his barrier. looked the boy up and down again and shrugged. He didn't see the boy as a threat but he was driven to keep the boy out of his head and he couldn't really explain why.

Turning to walk back to his bed he paused to glance at the uniform that hung from the students side of the room. "By the way you will have to wear that at all ties if you are going to be going out into the halls or the commons. civilian clothes are only allowed on weekends or for special occasions." He said putting emphasis on the word civilian. He smiled slightly and flopped back to his bed. "Another thing Student, Powers are usually restricted to the training grounds or the arena. If you get caught by a perfect or an administrator you can get a demerit. So I would be careful whose mind you try to read." He said that last bit as a warning more than a statement.
