Larissa fixed her uniform and checked herself over one last time in the mirror. Feeling as ready as she ever could be, she mentally griped about having such a short skirt. The headmaster liked to make advances on her and flirt with her. She was never comfortable with it but was so shy that she often froze up. What was worse was often Terry was nearby and did nothing to help her. He didn't give her the time of day since becoming a perfect. She sighed. Life was a lot lonelier now. She turned and walked to the door. Opening it a crack, she timidly looked out and saw the coast was clear. Stepping into the hallway, she started walking towards the cafe for a light brunch.
Terry was headed to the library to catch up on some ready when he saw Larissa crossing ahead of him. He sauntered on knowing she would see him in a few seconds. Sure enough, she glanced uneasily in his direction when she sensed movement. Her eyes widened for a moment and then her entire face shut down. She lowered her head and walked faster. He found himself growing disgusted with her and the pendent around his neck almost burned. The temper he never knew he had started to rise. Thankfully the headmaster had given him pills to help with the temper tantrums he now got. He was grateful to the headmaster for that. The last thing he needed was one of those low-lifes making fun of him. They were nobodies and he was someone. They should know their place, like Larissa. How he ever cared for her was beyond him.
