One Page Role Play:

OK, so youre possibly wondering what on EARTH the point of a role play is if there is only one page of it? Well, this is a different sort of role play that ive been thinking up. Now ill try and explain how it all works.

:!:Rules:
 EVERYONE travels together in a group, there are no small groups doing their own thing. If you have just joined the RP, slot yourself right in with us some how, doesnt matter exactly how as long as you find us.
 The first person to post at the top of each page gets to decide on the direction of the role play for that page.
 Everyone must attempt to roleplay towards this goal by the end of the page.
 There are no rules for what a person can choose for the next page of role playing, except, obviously the Menewsha rules and guidelines. Things can go from a medieval setting, to futuristic, to horror, to cityscape, to forest, to battlefield to what ever you can think of... As long as you specify how it happens. Random portals that open up and everyone falls through together into the next universe are fine.
 The first person to post on a new page DOESNT have to change the direction of the RP, but they must specify this, or amend it as they see fit.
:arrow:Violence between characters is fine, provided you can still keep it inline with the page plot/theme/objective. Killing off other characters requires an agreement to fight to the death before the combat begins, either IC or OOC.

:!:Profiles:
All profiles are to be submitted in the OOC thread. Wait for approval in the OOC thread before posting IC. Any type of character, from a robot to an elven mage, to a demon or angel, to a neko(furrie) to an orc, is acceptable, as long as you can RP with them as part of this group.

OK, so thats the essentials. Ill make the OOC thread, link it, then post the first post to kick things off. Once again, all profiles submitted via the OOC thread please, and wait for approval. Happy RPing to all!

All was quiet, until the storm came. This was no ordinary storm, though; in the center was a black hole. It didn't suck up everything, though; only a select few would be chosen to go on the journey laid out for them by fate. Are you one of these fated few?

Ryuu hardly reacted to the raging storm that whipped her pale hair about her thin face; she was busy. She was hunting.

Well, hunting is a bit of an extreme word to use for it; searching was more appropriate. But still kind of hunting.

Ryuu's short form stood squarely, her back to the wind. Her cold eyes scanned the darkened horizen. It was close. So close that it almost hurt. It was probably right under her nose; she just needed to find it. Then the hundred years of searching - of hunting - would finally be over.

Until, that is, she was suddenly lifted off her feet by the largest gust of wind.

"HWAA!" Was all the girl managed to shriek before she was whipped into the sky by an annaturally powerful upward gust of wind, which pulled her slight form directly into the claws of the waiting form. Not that she was going to go down that easily.

The air ripped with a ripple of energy as the girl's small form exploded outward, her clothes ripping to shreds as her body expanded, growing scales, lengthening, thickening... In no time, instead of a small fourteen-year-old girl, there was a huge, white dragon. The dragon bellowed angrily, thrashing in the wind as it tried to escape that drafts and torrents that were pulling it's wings in different directions. It wasn't working; in fact, the wings acted as giant sails, pulling her faster toward the huge blackness...

She was spat into total darkness, landing with a loud whump on unfamiliar ground. The dragon growled, staggered to it's feet, and swung it's huge head about, trying to see through the darkness that engulfed it.

Gorokan stood on the roof of the warehouse, crouched low, and fists balled. His sabre claw gauntlets strapped to his fists dripped with blood, so too did most of his upper body. The 7'2" powerhouse of death had managed to escape capture for so many years that he thought his creators had given up on him. Clearly he was wrong. As he stood there, weaponless except for his gauntlets, five heavily armed men approached him, guns trained on his face with red laser sights. He snarled at them, red glowing eyes seeing everything about the humans infront of him.

He looked up and around quickly, looking back just in time to see which member fired the taser at him. The figure on the outside left let fly with a taser round. With mongoose like reflexes, he raised his arm and deflected it off his arm guards, sparks spraying out and playing with the figures night vision gear for a second. A second was all he needed.

With his arm already up, he took a step and dived forwards, punching with his left fist into the face of the team member who shot at him. The pointed blade on the top of the gauntlets pierced his brain and he died instantly. Gorokan flung his right arm out and plunged his saber teeth into the face of the middle figure, using his body to take out the one between the two with a headbutt that drove the man down. Before he hit the ground, Gorokan yanked his arms in, reefing the right figure on top of him as he hit the ground. With the body of the right figure covering him from fire he headbutted the middle figures head to a pulp.

Firing automatic assault weapons silently with their suppressors on, no one below the warehouse would hear the battle above the streets.

The two remaining figures fired bursts of rounds into their dead team member before stopping to check on the target underneaths status. A second after the firing stopped, the body flew at them, thrown by the giant green killing machine. It knocked one member to the ground, and clipped the other, throwing his aim off. In that gap, Gorokan was on his feet and charging the fourth figure while the fifth removed the dead weight on top of him. As the figure he was about to engage in combat brought his weapon around to fire, Gorokan was already inside his guard and brushed the weapon aside with his left arm, bringing the elbow spike of his right armguard up into the figures soft throat and chin and driving the spike into its head and ripping it back out again. With a push of his right arm, he swung the dead figure around and threw it on top of the fifth, who had just gotten the other body off him.

The figure rolled out of the way and came to a standing position with Gorokan already in his face. With another headbutt, he drove the man to the ground, then kicked his weapon away. Gorokan knelt down, placing the spike of his gauntlet on the figures throat, the sabre teeth resting down his chest. He had but to roll his wrist forwards a little to pierce the mans throat, a punch and he could crush his neck and collarbones.

"Lets not beat around the bush here." Gorokan said to him in his deep rumbling menacing voice, "Tell your employer that if you and your girlfriends dont stop hunting me, then im comming for them. Can you remember that sweetheart?" he said, narrowing his eyes and tapping on the mans head with the side of his other gauntlet. The figure nodded weakly, and Gorokan spat on the ground next to him. "Good!" he said gruffly, and bashed the figure in the side of the head, knocking him out. He stood up, sniffing the air with distaste. The man had actually soiled himself. Laughing his deep, rasping laugh, Gorokan got up and walked off towards the stairs.

He looked up at the sky again, watching the energy of the crazy looking storm swirling about. The center of the storm began to swirl around, almost like a twister. Gorokan stopped a moment, glancing back at the grisley scene of death on the rooftop for a moment, then looking at the sky again. Lightning cracked forth a couple of times from the swirling, causing him to raise an eyebrow. Then, like a submarine floating to the surface, a black vortex emerged from the storm.

"Well, ill be buggered!" Breathed Gorokan to himself. "Wonder what that is?" He didnt have long to find out. Wind gusted about him, buffeting him with unnaturally strong force. "Might be time to move on i think..." he muttered, but he didnt have the chance. The wind bowled him over and picked him up into the sky. Stringing together cusses that would make a trooper blush, he was lifted higher and higher into the air, going directly towards the vortex. The last thing that world heard of Gorokan TuGorah before he disappeared was "HERE I COME YA BAST-" and then he disappeared into the vortex and was gone.

Hurtling through darkness that even his eyes could not penetrate, he slammed into unknown earth and lay there a moment, making what assessments he could of where he was. Somewhere, not far off, he could hear a large figure of some sort stamping around. It sounded larger than he was by a considerable amount.

Not knowing if it was friend or foe, Gorokan simply stood and crouched a little, arms coiled in readiness for an attack from anywhere.

"Aww, shit!"

Ryuu had phased back as soon as she realised that she probably wouldn't be able to fly, claw, or acidise her way out of the darkness. She'd been fumbling around so loudly that she hadn't heard the new arrival. She did now, though; even in her human form, her senses were exceedingly sharp; in the darkness, without her extended sight, her hearing inmproved a hundred-fold.

She could hear the muted, wet thudding of a heart - larger than her human form's - and the hollow rasping of heavy breathing. She could hear the microscopic movements of a body, the tiny crunches as invisible dirt ground against invisible stone. She whipped around, ready for an attack.

"Who's there?" She barked, her childish human voice sounding laughable beside the threat.

Gorokan spun to face the voice.

"Whos here?" He repeated in confusion, "Whos there? You brought me here!" He said with an icy tone. He tried to make some assessments of the voice that had spoken to him in the unpenetrable darkness. Since it spoke to him in a language he understood, he presumed it was some being of similar type to what he knew. It sounded very young, close to a childs voice. Yet somehow, in all this blackness, it knew he was here. He hadnt planned to come here, or been able to hide his enterance so hearing him mustnt have been an overly exceptional feat in itself, a several hundered kilogram body thumping onto a solid ground in a silent place would make enough noise to get anyones attention. Still, who this being was, and whether it was friend or foe was a a critical point to establish.

He kept his senses on high alert, turning his head this way and that incase he managed to see something through the impenetrable blackness. Listening for any more beings around incase they remained hidden to him without speaking.

Ryuu snarled, a strange noise for her body's form. "I asked you first, you snivelling idiot. What in hell do you mean by I brought you here? I beg to say that the case is vice-versa."

The girl struggled to her feet; had they blinded her? Or was this place just blackness?

"Whatever," she huffed, without waiting for an answer from the new comer. "Whoever you are, I'm getting out of here." She began to shuffle forward, only to trip over, apparently, the being who was in the darkness with her.

Gorokans brow wrinkled in confusion at her reaction and reply. "Was it possible that she had been brought here unwittingly as well?" he wondered to himself. "Where exactly IS here, and why cant i see anything?" As the being continued talking about leaving, all of a sudden something bumped into his lower body and fell over. On instinct, he leapt backward, landing in a backwards roll and comming to a stand with his deadly gauntleted fists drawn to strike.

His heart thumped faster, blood coursing through his body, delivering more energy to his sensory organs and the rest of his body as he stood ready for an attack. What had him worried though, was that not only could he not see, he hadnt been able to judge a distance on whoever it was that had bumped into him based on sound.

He knew by the odd growl, that what ever he was encountering was not entirely a human type after all. He wasnt sure what it was, but it clearly wasnt happy about being here either. A niggling thought came to the fore in his mind. "Maybe my Orcish magics might help here some how..." The only problem was that they were more attuned to the destructive side of things than helpful and creative, it could be a double edged sword were he to try and cast anything in this place...

"You know a way out then huh?" He questioned, senses still acutely tuned for trouble. He chuckled in his deep rumbling manner, and continued "But im guessing it wasnt that way?"
